Reviews for Gordon Guesthouse
Review 1:Three weeks touring Scotland and this inn had it all - great location for shopping and walking, friendly, helpful innkeepers, room and bath super clean and comfortable (though it may have been a smaller room, it still offered a settee). Gordon Guesthouse has an absolutely gorgeous breakfast room with a lovely view of the hills. You will feel like royalty in that room, and the breakfast selection is delicious. We were passing through so could stay only one night. We hope to return for a longer visit. Ballater is a delightful village and we would absolutely stay again at this inn.
Review 2:Nothing
Review 3:Had a great stay with a very clean room. The hosts Amanda and Martin make you feel very welcomed and provide you with a great breakfast and plenty of information on what to do and where to eat.
Review 4:WiFi touch and go , but you are near the Highlands so do not blame where I stayed more the region as I found the same problem in several places I tried to get a signal. This is a fabulous place and in the end o did not go there for Wifi
Review 5:I loved this place it was gorgeous, the hosts were amazing and facilities wonderful. I felt like I was the only person there but the place was full.Cannot wait to go back wonderful!
Review 6:This was a beautiful, warm, welcoming place in a beautiful area. The hosts were caring (phoning back after we lost reception when we called to inform them that we were a bit lost), and helpful. Breakfast was glorious and generous, served on beautiful settings in a lovely dining room. The atmosphere was grand. We appreciated the whole experience and were very grateful for the driving directions and cautions for driving on Scottish country roads. The whole experience left us with a warm, happy feeling. We could not recommend the Gordon Guesthouse more highly
Review 7:Having to carry my suitcase up four flights of stairs. The hot water tap to the basin provided scalding hot water. A mixer valve is needed to achieve a safe temperature of 43`C. I would have preferred self service of cereals at breakfast. Surprised to be addressed by my first name. Noisy people outside the guest house at 1am on Friday.
Review 8:The room was clean and attractively furnished. The quiet clock and touch lamp were thoughtlfully provided. Excellent breakfasts attractively presented. The guest house itself was quiet.
Review 9:Room (Glenshee) was spacious with great views from both windows. Breakfast room was very pleasant and Amanda and Martin are great hosts who give good advice on activities and restaurants. They really want you to have a great time.
