Review 5:Location is a little further than I would normally travel.

Review 6:staff were excellent and the place is very comfortable - nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent.

Review 7:Water system is rooms are a bit noisy so when neighbours turn taps on its a bit screamy especially when it's late at night

Review 8:All the wee extras and goodies Excellent breakfast menu Great rooms can't wait to go back

Review 9:Nothing not to like.

Review 12:Friendly and helpful on arrival. Nice clean spacious room with lovely view. Excellent evening meal and really good breakfasts with a great choice. Very helpful with local directions, even providing printouts for directions.

Review 13:Leaving .

Review 14:What did I like , everything. I have spent the last 3 years staying in hotels around the UK and have yet to receive the level of service as I received in the Mulberry Inn. The food is excellent , views at breakfast amazing and truly a home from home.

Review 15:We really liked Mulberry Inn - I spent a night there with a friend from New York City - we liked the quite and beautiful surroundings and the nice rooms as well as the friendly and serviceminded staff and management. Both the evening meal and breakfast excellent and overall super value. I am on a gluten free diet and this was no problem for the chef. Would very much like to return for a longer stay.

Review 16:Excellent hotel in lovely countryside location. Lovely clean room & lots of little extra touches to make stay even better e.g well stocked mini bar, robes slippers etc. Excellent service & food - nothing too much trouble for staff, would highly recommend.

Review 17:Nothing at all

Review 18:Friendly and helpful staff. Great service generally. Quality food in restaurant. Very keenly priced and excellent value for money. Beautiful peaceful location.

Review 19:Not a bad experience, but our room was cold during a late afternoon sit down to read newspapers although the heating seemed more efficient later. We chose not to say anything as we didn't want a hot room and decided to put up with it.

Review 20:Pleasant and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast is excellent, also supply of drinks, tea, coffee in rooms.

Review 21:The staff were very welcoming. The room and facilities were excellent. We had tea, coffee, bottled water, flapjack all complimentary. The breakfast was lovely, they even brought round a complimentary smoothy 10/10

Review 22:We would have preferred a more reasonably priced traditional country inn dinner menu. The bar did not always appear to be open in the evenings.

Review 23:The inn is in a very scenic location and we appreciated the luxury features provided in our room . The breakfast experience was very good with an extensive menu, high quality food and pleasant, efficient staff.

Review 24:had to go home after 2 days.

Review 25:food wonderful. lovely setting. very relaxed atmosphere. friendly staff. comfy bed. All little touches, snacks and free water etc. go again?? yes we would.

Review 26:Toiletries

Review 27:Location, comfortable room with well stocked mini bar, fresh milk,. Food was delicious ,decent wines at good prices. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Review 28:There was nothing to dislike.

Review 29:This was our first stay at the Mulberry Inn and we were not disappointed. The room was spotlessly clean and the fresh milk in the fridge was really appreciated.

Review 30:Lovely welcome by Reese who showed us to our very comfortable room. Everything appeared new and although only a double bed, all the linen, the pillows and duvet, towels etc., were new and of excellent quality. The room contained a small fridge and what a delight to have a fresh carton of 'real' milk to hand. The bathroom was one of the few (we learnt the next day) yet to be updated, but spotlessly clean and everything worked. The location is stunning with amazing views of the valley from bedrooms and public rooms. The evening meal was good and breakfast excellent. Last minute booking but we hope to return ASAP.

Review 31:Stunning location with beautiful views from the delightful garden and residents lounge. Plenty of parking. Good food apart from soggy chips. Friendly and attentive staff , I would happily stay here again.

Review 32:Another choice of cask ale would have been nice.

Review 33:Very friendly and helpful staff, the little touches worked very well, fresh milk in room, free mineral water. Food was excellent and Manager was very helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Review 34:the room was really nice and everything one needed was there. Unfortunately the bed could have been more comfortable if the matress was actually flat.

Review 35:food was excellent but perhaps a bit more imagination on the dinner choices. could not fault the breakfast. all staff were eager to please and did so in all areas of the hotel

Review 36:Everything, lovely location, easy parking, a very warm welcome, help with my luggage, not always the case lately, a bright cheerful, spotlessly clean bedroom very comfy bed, and a frig full of goodies, even fresh milk. And all the meals where superb in size and quality.

Review 37:There was no network for mobile phone.

Review 38:The peace and quiet, the seclusion of the inn, the comfort, friendly and helpful staff and the mushroom soup. The Inn ,although dated, was clean. Just loved the views.

Review 39:Nice evening meal, but a little overpriced for what you actually got.

Review 40:Room spacious clean, fantastic comfortable bed, lovely room and decor!! Beautiful views and garden. Nice complimentary extras Fab breakfast choice

Review 41:Hosts & staff were genuinely interested in our comfort & requirements, the evening meals where excellent we couldn't ask for anything more.

Review 42:Our room was light, airy and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with lots of menu options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Review 43:Bedding was feather and too hot in room .i was disappointed with service and quality of meal in restaurant on evening .not offered a drink .Chicken was tough so sent it back .Lamb shank was ok but nothing special for money .Shower too small and broke .

Review 44:Very good wifi and bed comfy . Quiet location.

Review 45:Whilst not having any bad experience of any sort, the only downside I had with the stay was the evening meals. I considered them quite expensive and the steak for instance was not cooked as requested nor was it particularly tender. The prawn cocktail was in a glass stuffed with lettuce and topped with a few prawns and sauce, rather than an open dish. Very average and not in the same class as the breakfasts.

Review 46:A very friendly hotel with plenty of parking space. Rooms were excellent with good bathrooms. Very quiet with a nice garden if weather is good. Comfortable lounge but seats a bit low if you have a bad leg. Plenty of walks around but most involve climbing up the hillside surrounding the village. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and the dog was made very welcome.

Review 47:A very brief stay but the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was compact being a single but still well appointed and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Review 48:The bed pillows were too soft!

Review 49:Staff were very helpful and provided lots of recommendations for places to visit. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfasts and evening meal was excellent, room was very nice with great tea/coffee facilities. Overall it was an excellent place to stay in a great location.

Review 50:We have stayed in some nice hotels over the years, but think that this one takes the biscuit. Probably better than many 'Posh' city hotels and fancy foreign holiday accommodations. Plus you get lovely views because of its location and its so peaceful. So much nice about every aspect. So many "extras" and good quality products in bedroom and restaurant, both at breakfast and in evening, you cannot believe it. Visit here and I know you will not be disappointed.

Review 51:Nothing to report

Review 52:Very helpful staff, clean and fresh looking good size room, good evening meal and excellent breakfast and fine views and local walking

Review 53:Wifi was pretty poor (#firstworldproblems...). Bed not quite so comfortable as other people reported but maybe because we were in a standard room. Still fine.

Review 54:Great location and very friendly staff. Perfect for us as we were travelling to Snowdonia from London and this was just over the border so made a great stop over. Will very likely return.

Review 55:Staff were brilliant, nothing was to much trouble with a determined effort to ensure our stay was perfect. Breakfast was excellent with many options, the restaurant was so good that we ate there every night.

Review 56:The location of the Inn, coupled with the quality of decor and furnishings, attention to detail, and friendliness of management and all members of staff, made it a most enjoyable stay. We will definitely return.

Review 57:Breakfast can be a little slow at peak times, but it is worth relaxing and waiting for it. If you want your breakfast to be cooked and ready at a certain time, ask the night before and it will arrive on the dot.

Review 58:The staff are excellent - naturally friendly and caring. As a solo traveller I was made to feel totally comfortable. The location is very beautiful. The hotel is tastefully furnished and comfortable and the rooms are well stocked. The food, both breakfast and dinner, is excellent.

Review 59:just the fact i couldn't tke th time to try all the breakfast options as i had to go to work -

Review 60:amazing place staff and food the best steak and ale pie i have ever had

Review 61:Asked for an extra pillow which was noted , but it never materialised...but it did not spoil our stay there.

Review 62:The views from the hotel are magnificent and the waitresses are extremely friendly and pleasant.

Review 63:None!

Review 64:Friendlines, courtesy, eagernes to help and the emphasis on service were very much ahead of most places that we have stayed in, both in the UK and abroad.

Review 65:Nothing about this hotel to dislike

Review 66:Had a problem with the booking not the hotels fault but mine the hotel staff went out of their way resolve our problem, We were told to go out for the day and things will be sorted when we came back, Could not fault the staff from reception, Bar, Breakfast staff, everyone polite and helpfull,

Review 67:Just a suggestion that a sheet along with the spare blanket that was in the wardrobe would be nice to use when to room is hot in the summer months. I took the quilt out of the cover and placed the blanket on top as we were hot at night.

Review 68:Having visited this hotel some years ago we were amazed at the transformation that has taken place. From the lounge/bar area to the bedrooms the new owners have done an excellent job. Even down to a small fridge containing fresh milk and many other drinks/sweets in the bedroom. This hotel is in a beautiful setting with great views from the bedroom. It is ideal for visiting Chester, Chirk castle, Erddig etc or just strolling along the canal and many more local walks. Congratulations to you both for this transformation and good luck in the future.

Review 69:There was nothing not to like!!

Review 70:The hotel is in a truly beautiful setting which afforded us the peace and tranquillity we were looking for to start off our holiday. The room we had was fantastic with the most beautiful view over the Welsh countryside. The staff were all so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend The Mulberry to anyone and look forward to our next visit

Review 71:Nothing the secluded location won't be for everyone but with a fabulous restaurant and bar there is no reason to venture out on an evening

Review 72:The hotel is situated in a secluded location with beautiful gardens and scenic views

Review 73:There was nothing we didnt like

Review 74:We Loved everything, the whole package, A Dream of a place to stay, in a beautiful valley, with true professionals (propriators) and a great team of staff working and maintaining first class service throughout. Cant praise them enough, we will be back.

Review 75:Location was great. We were cycling around Llangollen and this was a great spot to start from. Back at the hotel the room was large, clean, airy and so comfortable. Lots of treats in the room including ground coffee and cafetiere and brilliant cycling flapjacks! The evening meal and breakfast were superb and great value - the staff could not do enough to help. The bar in the evening served good beer and cider and was also cosy and friendly. Really hope to come back.

Review 76:The location was very difficult to find if you rely on a sat nav. You have to Ollie the directions the hotel send you.

Review 77:The quality of the food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly. The bed and pillows were amazing and the room facilities were the best I've seen - fresh milk, lots of complimentary drinks and well stocked reasonably priced room bar.

Review 78:The friendliness of the staff & the attention to detail - fresh milk in the fridge, complimentary bottles of mineral water & a tray stocked with a wide assortment of coffee & teas etc - wonderful. Can't wait for a second helping! Breakfast excellent too

Review 79:No phone signal!

Review 80:The rooms are spotless, and have everything you need! Bed was very comfy. The staff where very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great food!

Review 81:The decor, the general finishing touches (e.g. real flowers on the dinner table), the staff were incredibly helpful, the setting is beautiful, the food, particularly breakfast was very good. The bedroom was very nice too - we could go on and on.

Review 82:The location of the hotel was stunning, the service was outstanding, everyone was so willing to go out of their way to help and make us feel at home. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and the eggs benedict for breakfast absolutely devine. We'll definitely be back!

Review 83:Excellent restaurant to enjoy a meal in after a day out sightseeing. Peaceful location, close to Chirk and within very easy distance to main road (A5).

Review 84:The Mulberry Inn is an old building - which had evidently been neglected in the recent past - most tastefully updated by the current proprietors. Food and accommodation were both high class; service was excellent. And the views (especially from the dining room and lounge) along the Ceiriog Valley are superb.

Review 85:Just a personal perference really, chips with steak , should be chips and not effectively fried potatoes wedges with skin on. Trivial point and the only negative one

Review 86:Staff sttentive and friendly, locals talkative and amicable. Room size great, bed comfy. Srrvice in bar and restaurant excellent , excellent breakffast choice. Wonderful location, it is when not if we ho back

Review 87:That we had to come home :-(

Review 88:Everything was perfect, the food was home made and really nice. Lovely log fire in the bar. Rooms were spotless. Hospitality was second to non (great stay we will be back)

Review 89:No faults

Review 90:Loved this little place. Bed so comfy. Staff and manager friendly and most helpful. Food was great. Lovely log fire in the bar. Overall fab little break.

Review 91:Restaurant in the evening was cold as they still have to sort out the heating in this room.

Review 92:Bedroom was well furnished and spotless. Lots of hot water and staff were really helpful and went out of their way to make sure you had a good stay at The Mulberry Inn. Great breakfast in beautiful dining room overlooking the valley.

Review 93:Nothing.

Review 94:Loved everything about the place, from the welcome received on arrival by John to all the little details that Allan and his team have put in place to make one's stay a memorable one. The cosy bar has atmosphere and food at dinner and breakfast was First Class. Will definitely be back!

Review 95:I was lucky, I know, with the November special offer discount, but even for a much higher price this hotel would be great value. Very comfortable rooms, super friendly staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful location. Thoroughly recommended.

Review 96:Rather long wait for cooked breakfast but we had no agenda so not really a problem.

Review 97:Friendly staff . The manager in particular very helpful and all waiting on staff most pleasant. Lovely big room with fantastic views and extra large bed. Well cooked and served evening meal Good breakfast.

Review 98:Very welcoming, generous complimentaries including fresh coffee/cafetiere in the room, rural location but not far from Llangollen, very good value for money, optional evening meal.

Review 99:The room was immaculate but so tiny. I'm a size 8 and found the single bed on the small side.

Review 100:Accommodating of solo traveller with small dog - right down to allowing us both to breakfast on the patio which meant that waiting staff had to make a special trip outside to serve us. Brilliant value for money and very understanding of the special circumstance surrounding the trip.

Review 101:Personal preference I know, but the bed was a bit soft

Review 102:Met by friendly staff member, who showed me to my room. The owners is relatively new to the area and has taken on young enthusiastic staff, who were polite, courteous and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and well presented. Ample coffee for a caffeine addict like myself and although did not make use of it, the mini bar appeared well stocked.

Review 103:A pint of real milk in the fridge for tea and coffee, not a UHT carton in sight. The mini bar prices and range were very good, not the usual rip off you get in many places. All in all they couldn't have been more helpful.

Review 104:Nothing, really.

Review 105:Friendly and helpful Staff. Very luxurious rooms Very comfortable bed. Excellent food (only tried the breakfast but suspect that the evening meals would be equally as good).

Review 106:Every thing from the manager to all the staff, Very helpfull and polite,Very clean, Food great, bar prices very good, great little extras throughout the room, Breakfast top. top food, great all round

Review 107:A little too stiff and formal, but will ease as time goes by

Review 108:An excellent place to stay, just need to be a little more relaxed and friendly. I am absolutely sure this will come with time and practice. The rooms and food cannot be faulted

Review 109:The room was cold. We asked twice for some heating, but it did not materialise.

Review 110:The location is beautiful - a peaceful, unspoilt valley with lovely views from the bedrooms and public rooms. Friendly & welcoming staff.

Review 111:Staff are attentive without being intrusive, food and especially the breakfast was excellent. Rooms nice, clean and modern with good finishing touches.

Review 112:No mobile phone connection, however not a big deal as the land line was available in our room.

Review 113:Friendly staff, all the little extras including an "honesty" bar. Lovely setting, clean, good food, couldn't ask for more within the control of the Inn.

Review 114:None

Review 115:Very peaceful

Review 116:Nothing!

Review 117:Great bedding! Friendly, helpful staff Very clean

Review 118:Everything about my stay was spot on.And the food was excellent.

Review 119:Totally lovely! Great attention to detail and really super hosts!

Review 120:Rooms need a bit more sound proofing.

Review 121:Unbelievable breakfast, complete with 'Bloody Mary'!! But the whole stay was lovely.
