Review 1：It's not a dislike just a little bit disappointed I couldn't get on the wifi in my room.... But in all fairness the staff offered me another room so I could pick up the signal

Review 4：Despite the mixed reviews we took a chance and stayed 1 night as it was cheap and well located for us. We stayed in room 10, the room and bathroom were very clean. Shower was good, though we used it when most guests would have been having breakfast, so plenty of hot water. Some reviews say the place needs reburbishing, but then it wouldn't be so cheap would it? Some would say the decor needs updating - I would say it is traditional.

Review 5：Could not find any wifi, free or otherwise to connect to. Wasn'treally a problem as only there one night and could use 3g instead butdid advertise free wifi in all areas. Shower cubicle was very small -again ok for me as a size 14 woman, but anyone much larger might find ita squeeze.

Review 6：Good location for daughter and I to stop on way to Lancaster Uni openday as just off m6. Friendly welcome, good sized room. Liked that therewere chairs to sit and watch tv in room. Tea and coffee makingfacilities provided. Good décor and cleanliness ok, although towels hadseen better days. Peaceful night, even with window open. Would stayagain if need to repeat the trip!

Review 7：Sadly the room had a leak in the ceiling which only became evident late at night. Hotel was very tired and needs to be extensively refurbished.

Review 19：Needed some TLC, our room had dirty marks on the walls by the sick, the sink did not hold it's water, there were holes in the wall in the bathroom, the lights were very dim, could all do with painting in nice light colours, there were marks by the light switch looked like fingers and could of been wiped off, the TV kept loosing it's signal. Overall a good lick of paint new carpets etc and it would get better marks. Beds were made but they just pulled the quilt up and made it tidy, but did not touch the under sheet.

Review 20：The staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was good, ample parking, breakfast was OK, have had better and have had worse. Had two chairs in the room which was good.

Review 21：Post card tv on the other side of the room. Dated and worn. Didn'tuse the shower, there was silicone missing and black mouldy silicone inthe corners and edges so didn't want to use. Really needed some tlcbut rest of bathroom was clean. Thought the sign stating if a towel wentmissing you would be charged £20 was a bit over the top! Didn't knowthere was a bar!?

Review 22：Woman on desk was very friendly and welcoming. Had a problem with theroom and they moved us straight away with no problems. Room ok, usualtea and coffee, chair, bed comfy. Decent breakfast but staff keptdisappearing and couldn't ask for butter. Conservatory and diningroom/bar was light and welcoming.

It was a bank holiday when we visited and we were the only couple there!!! Could be such a lovely place if the owners just tried a little harder

Review 111：When we arrived we were shown a small dark room at the back of the hotel. When I explained that my wife is claustraphobic we were shown to the large room at the front. I was not impressed with the original room.

Review 112：We had a large comfortable room looking over the main road. The room overlooked the car park and was far enough away from the main road for the traffic noise not to be a problem. We asked about the evening meal and the man on reception told us that he was going to the supermarket to buy the ingedients for the evening meal and could cook for whatever we wanted. We asked for jacket potatoe with prawns. For dessert he offered us an orange and chocolate trifle. Both were very good. The cooked breakfast in the morning was also excellent.

We chose to book a room and stay over, so that we could relax and have a few drinks without the worry of driving home afterwards. The buffet food served at the reception was tasty and well presented, with plenty for all guests, but minimal wastage. We had a double room which was basic but functional. It was clean and tidy, and adequately served our needs for a one night stay. We ate in the restaurant at the night time, where all meals were £5 - excellent value. The full english breakfast included was delicious. All staff were friendly and attentive.

Review 130：The place was very dirty....all of the furnishings were dark as was the bedding...carpets were thread bare... There was one member of staff who was the cook, receptionist, cleaner etc....the paper-work was on the floor and my booking docs could not be found....the windows were shot..with hinges broken and rubber seals gone....so we had loud traffic all night...the blind was broken as were other fittings in the bathroom...also the lighting was so dim that I could not see myself in a wall mirror...it was also e xtreemly hot in the buidling as the heating had been on with an outside temp of 22c....The lounge area was filthy, and the cook brought an ironing board steamer type and placed it on the lounge table, and said its to hot out there....wow this was the pits.....it should be closed down....the room we had smelled of cigars, then we were told it was the carpet ...the first room we has was a real pit..so we asked for a room with enouhg light so as to see each other, we were taken to a room which was very large, and which had just been re-fubished....it is the room I have just discribed..brown bedding does not show the dirt..so who knows how long it had been on the bed...They say they have a lot of functions there.....I guess you would need to be drunk in order to say it was ok....never again.....

Review 131：-food in the restaurant..frozen birds eye fish type with oven chips !!!! not acceptable for £8.95.. -service in restaurant I had to go to the bar to ask for a menu and then no one came to take my order so I had to go to the bar to order food anf everytime I wanted a drink..only ate there once !!!! that was enough -the hotel lacked professionalism..all conversations with staff in the kitchen could be heard -room was dirty and tired
