Reviews for Zenitude Hôtel-Résidences La City
Review 1:it took an age to find this place, tucked away behing 'La Cite' and the Ibis Hotel. You need GPS
Review 2:Besancon is a very attractive city and has an interesting history
Review 3:Car Park a bit dark and tricky to get into, but very convenient and worth the 6 Euro a day
Review 4:Convenient location for old city Good value for money Helpful Friendly staff Well equipped kitchenette
Review 5:The kitchen was smelling strange and the bed my girlfried and me slept in was 'just' a stretcher.
Review 6:For the price (€89) we had a room with a little kitchen for two adults and two older childeren. It was near to the city centre
Review 7:Room in the basement under the road , lack of air condition - no possibility sleep with open door to the patio because of free acces from the street
Review 8:Good localisation
Review 9:Two negative points - There is free wifi, but you need to get it at the reception (which was closed by the time we arrived) hotel should find a solution for this. - As the hotel allows pets, the room next to us had a dog which was barking all the time, and of the same room the baby was crying as well...meaning, isolation issues as we could hear everything
Review 10:Location is at 10/15 min walk from the center, which is a nice walk, crossing the river and next to a park. There is a city-bike station right next to the hotel, we also used this option.
Review 14:The hotel needs some better signage, the car park in particular is difficult to find at first.
Review 15:Great location for the price and only a pleasant 10 minute walk into the old town.
Review 16:A little more style would be appreciated.
Review 17:For a two day day visit to Besancon, this was just perfect. Very near tothe centre of town. The decor is simple and somewhat lacking in stylebut that is more than made up for by the resources that you get and thefriendliness of the staff. Ater accidentally booking double withBooking.com, the receptionist at the Adagio could not have been morehelpful. She called Booking.com, explained what had happened and thenpassed the phone to us. Booking.com were just wonderful, as ever. Therewas no issue. We had made a mistake and it was corrected at no cost.
Review 18:We had also booked a room with a double bed and a baby crib. There was no crib in the room when we arrived. As it was past 6:00pm, the reception was closed and there was no way to contact hotel staff. as we needed a crib, we ended up renting a room with a crib at the Hotel Ibis next door at roughly the same price.
Review 19:Convenient location. Nice one bedroom apartment with balcony for one adult and two kids.
Review 20:Very impersonal, though staff was professional and competent. Non-existent lobby. Bad Wi-Fi for those without a laptop, available only in the minuscule lobby, where people were sitting on the floor with smartphones and tablets.
Review 21:Location is next to the river and old city. Laundry facility Good parking possibility Spacious room. Essential and clean.
Review 22:Bar fridge and internet in room did not work. If you wanted Wi-Fi you could use it in the tiny lobby but you would need to fight for a seat as there were only two
Review 23:You get what you pay for. Did not cost much but facilities were definitely no more than 2 star
Review 24:I really like the small kitchen in the apartment because I like to cook for myself.
Review 25:I really like the apartment. Had a small kitchen that fore is a huge plus because I love my own food. Love the bed, confortable, the bathroom was small but very neat and good. Extremely clean and neat place. The only problem I had was with the internet because I had my mobile phone and could not access the internet into room, so I had to do all internet downstairs on the cafeteria I'm the morning or in the chair near the elevator which had people talking and cheating. My last day I had no internet, nothing, so I quit trying and watched television and read a bit. Felt uncomfortable because I could not access my husband by skype. Enything else was great. The place is near the old city and has a garden near too. Very beautiful city.
Review 26:Not clean, the price is too high when you see the level of this hotel.
Review 27:he staff was OK
Review 28:Signs could be bigger. Ended up in Ibis car park next door. Nightmare. Do not do this :-)
Review 29:Functional hotel in good location. Underground parking.
Review 30:No air conditioning
Review 31:Great value
Review 32:Perfect, comfortable, friendly, relaxed, good location. Highly recommend to friends and will always return ourselves
Review 33:No English channels at all on the TV
Review 34:Very noisey building work at 7am.
Review 35:Modern, clean and good location.
Review 36:The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There was a strong smell of food being cooked even though the hotel does not have a restaurant.
Review 37:Leaving
Review 38:No air conditioning in middle of heat wave
Review 39:Price. Very clean.
Review 40:Comfortable and convenient. Staff very helpful. Walking distance to shopping district.
Review 41:The location and self-catering facilities. Quiet nightes.
Review 42:Wifi reception was a bit weak in the room we were in.
Review 43:Great location, good space with good facilities.
Review 44:weekly cleaning not good
Review 45:ıt is near doobs and tranway.
Review 46:I can use wifi only near the reception.
Review 47:Very closed to city centre.
Review 48:reception close on 7pm
Review 49:budget hotel, nice location and has a small kitchen.
Review 50:none
Review 51:Great value for the money. Location. Kitchen. Clean. Parking garage.
Review 52:Kitchen hadn't been well thought out: filter coffee maker provided, but no filters. It took up a lot of space and couldn't be used. A kettle would have been much better. There were 4 small coffee cups, but nothing big enough to make tea in. The hotplates took forever to heat up. (In the end I boiled water in the microwave.) The small kitchen knife was blunt. The kitchen cupboard had a sharp corner to its door, just at head height. Ouch! Microwave was at same height. Light in bedroom was very dim. (As in most hotels.) Floor was tiled throughout - not even a bedside mat. Very cold on the feet.
Review 53:Convenient location (at least in comparison with most hotels in Besançon). Friendly staff. Despite criticisms I would certainly recommend it for a short stay for one person. (Room rather cramped for two.)
Review 54:Parking was full, parked with no problem in the neighbouring Ibis, but this had to be paid for, only 8.50 EUR for the night.
Review 55:Good location, friendly staff, perfect for a short stay.
Review 56:The pictures in Booking do not correspond to reality. Decadent appartment. Sticky floor. Boiler in closet. We really do not understand how this dump can have such a score in reviews.
Review 57:Nothing and wouldn't recommend this accomodation.
Review 58:NO BF included, need of kitchen cleaning - with both services included price of accomoidation would be significantly higher and price/performance ratio much worse for the quality of the hotel
Review 59:Proximity of city center
Review 60:helpful reception, no aircon but given a fan when requested and that was all that was needed, close to centre for walking to tourist sites, secure parking, having a kitchenette was great
Review 61:Small remarks - there was no hairdryer in the room. Floor tiles in the living room is good for maintenance, but not so cozy in comparison with carpeted version.
Review 62:Good location for city trip. Clean appartment with kitchenette.
Review 63:Looks downmarket from outside
Review 64:Secure parking, staff friendliness & helpfulness, comfort of apartment, facilities in apartment, location to centre, value
Review 65:I don't think there was BBC World channel or other in English. A warning for Besançon at the moment as all pavements are up and road works etc until 2015. Not good to walk around but will be stunning after 2015!
Review 66:Having stayed at the IBIS next door last year, I was very pleased to stay in Adagio. It was very friendly and I liked the link to the internet and modern facilities. The staff were very good. The laundry room was immaculate The car park seemed secure. I would highly recommend Adagio (or IBIS) if someone needs to go to Besançon but would recommend a trip after 2015! Then we shall go again!!
Review 67:The room was clean and had all the essentials. The bathroom was spacious and clean too. It's a good value for a family one/two day trip. I would recommend it.
Review 68:Architecture Most hotel doors lock when you close them. Apparently thesedo not and we were called 4 days later to say that someone stole the tvafter we left. I am not sure why they would call us.
Review 69:Location
Review 70:The front desk was closed for lunch and didn't open until 14:00 hoursand closed in the evening. The surrounding area was very large. I thinksome people actually live there and they converse between rooms acrossthe outside whilst sitting in there windows. Our room was between thetwo talking parties and it seemed like they wherein our room forafternoon refreshing nap.
Review 71:That it was near City center.
Review 72:The room had a slightly strange smell when you enter, but not offensive.
Review 73:The girl on reception who also managed breakfast was excellent. We chosethe adagio because of the separate bedroom and kitchen facilities whichwas perfect for my young family.
Review 74:Disappointed with breakfast, maybe better other days.
Review 75:Underground parking. Kitchenette with fridge, well equipped. Easy to walk into the city.
Review 76:Poor breakfast.
Review 77:clean room and resonable price
Review 78:Directions for finding the place were not good
Review 79:Good value for money
Review 80:Week end at night no reception service
Review 81:problems with the keys since nobody at the reception
Review 82:very clean and comfortable, near the center
Review 83:No Wi fi in room
Review 84:secure parking (for 6e); close to centre. good size room and bathroom.
Review 85:Very nice! I recomend it.
Review 86:Being a non smoker room (and hotel) there was smell to tobacco.
Review 87:great staff, good breakfast, nice room. Good price
Review 88:It is not that clean as the other Adagio, we enjoyed.
Review 89:It is reasonable price
Review 90:Free wi fi only available in reception.
Review 91:Location good. Breakfast fine
Review 92:Shower was a bit confined.
Review 93:The staff was very friendly and the facilities were nice. Apartment style rooms with a small kitchenette.
Review 94:'Kitchen' facilities very limited. Booked for four adults - there were only 3 mugs and two glasses!
Review 95:Close to the city
Review 96:Very basic and quite cramped for two people, superior studio. Like student campus accommodation.
Review 97:Good location.
Review 98:No wifi in the rooms.
Review 99:Location, cleanliness and calm
Review 100:this hotel was very difficult to find. The name is Citea and the sign outside is extremely small, the car park was not well signposted either!
