Reviews for Oceanis Hotel

Review 1:However, for this price the room and the hotel as a whole did not coverour standards, thus we left the hotel after 2 days - although we bookedfor 6 nights. The hotel management is totally not Greek oriented.According to staff they havent seen more than 3-4 Greek couples withinthe last 6-7 years!!! This is why they didnt even bother to have (in a4* hotel!!!) greek tv channels. Their excuse was that they had to payexcessive fees for digital tv. But this is a 4* hotel afterall.Isn' t it???Our balcony at the 7th floor had a great view but a terrible smell too since right under our balcony there are the ventilation from the kitchen. The mattress was old and all common places even the elevator had a bad heavy smell of cooked food. The food was NOT at all 4*. Probably 2* hotel is more suited. Good variety but not good quality. Drinks and beers just OK. Coffees are not free except filter coffee. a freddo Capuccino costs 3 euros!!! At the last day when we complained to booking about the services and we decided to leave, the hotel management sent us a champaign. Good move but not enough for our honeymoon. This is why it is not recommended for such occasions. The hotel needs a generous renovation or else a degradation to 2* hotel.

Review 2:Our trip was something like a pre-honeymoon. We have already contactedthe hotel in order to get a double bed room in a top floor, which wegot. The staff was polite and helpful although not Greek oriented (likethe whole hotel). The room was good, clean and spacy. The pool barswere very relaxing specially at nights. The hotel is only 5 min by carfrom the town.

Review 3:The food was horrible. They shouldn't have included it in the price of the room. I ended up not eating at the hotel on the second day.

Review 4:The facilities were very good. Great pool and very large foyer restaurant and bar.

Review 5:The smell in the rooms (because of the air conditioner which is very old), the elevator and the lobby toilet is something else. :-( it takes time to get used to it and even there, it sort of lingers...Rather poor and expensive wi-fi, but, most of all, the guests' attitude, for whom the very concept of making a bit of an effort for dinner (in terms of clothes) does not exist: flip-flops, shorts, bathing suits..I understand that people want and need to relax, but what is wrong with relaxing in more decent clothes?!? And all this in spite of the efforts of the staff, who, paradoxically, are a lot more dressed up than the guests...

Review 6:I loved the extraordinary staff; they manage to make a rather old hotel function properly; I cannot have enough words of praise. I remember the supervisor in the restaurant, always there, always watching to make sure everything was in place, the animation team, friendly but not intrusive, the kind receptionists and cleaning ladies :-)

Review 7:no towels for the swimming pool and no free internet

Review 8:we had a great service. we came with an alergic kid and we got a lot of help and good will from all the staff

Review 9:The paid wi-fi is frustratingly useless and a waste of money. I lost contact with family and friends and that really annoyed me. There are no pedestrian crossings to reach the beach so you will almost certainly be run over because the traffic is non-stop.

Review 10:The staff were all excellent being friendly and very helpful. The main pool area is excellent for lazy days in the sun. We enjoyed the variety of food and all our meals there. Our room was kept very clean too and was worth the extra for the balcony and sea view.

Review 11:- no air condition in not renovated rooms, old TV sets - poor animation evening program (bingo etc.) - surrounding - very crowded street to Rodos, difficult (even dangerous) to cross the street to reach the sea beach - Greek drivers doesn't stop cars if they really don't need - laud animation if you have room from the see view - paid WiFi - 3€/5€ - 90 minutes multisesion - very limited snacks selection at Pergola bar, ice-creams for children only in 2 selected hours at the day - All In only up to 11.00pm, after paid - there is stone beach not gravel as in hotel description - not so clean

Review 12:- variety and good meals, - themed dinners, - once a week "greek night" - clean rooms, daily changed towels if required - nice pools

Review 13:No free wifi and no iron in room, you had to pay for both which seemed quite 'money grabbing'. Food options not very varied even on theme nights

Review 14:Clean rooms, nice pool, self service drinks, friendly staff and good evening entertainment.

Review 15:The rooms are awful, more like 1* or 2*. The room was extremely dated, the old floor boards were peeling up & the old furniture was battered, things you would have thrown out of your house year ago. The Tv was well over 20 years old (no flat screens) & the air conditioning system even older which barely worked. The 'garden view' is not a garden, more like a 'wasteland' view. We were given twin beds pushed together instead of a double bed room which we had booked. We immediately wanted to leave as soon as we arrived but we had paid upfront on booking weeks prior with no cancellation. There are no leisure facilities at all, no sauna, no gym etc.. The drinks are awful, they say 'high-quality product' which infact they are the complete opposite - who are they trying to kid? There is no pepsi or coca-cola like every other 4* all inclusive, just drinks that taste worse than soda streams. I could only drink water or beer the whole time as they were that bad. The cold meats & hams on the buffet were again extremely poor quality & un-edible unless you like spam & such products. The soups were awful & the snacks on the snack bar at poolside again were horrible. The food is not good at all, very cheap produce all round. Salad & bread is only food that is up to quality.

Review 16:The pool area. The animation team were really, really good & made the pool area fun & lively. The beer on tap to help yourself is good & it's mythos which is ok! It's easily an hour/hour + 15 mins to Rhodes old town walking but it is a nice walk. Hotel is very clean.

Review 17:- expensive wifi - busy road between hotel and beach

Review 18:- location - friendly and efficient staff - cleanliness - food - tourist shop by the reception - swimming pools

Review 19:The evening 'entertainment' was dreadful. Totally irresponsible for a hotel to organise drinking games where 'the more drunk they are the better the game'. Banal DJ,music so loud that people cowered in far off corners trying get away from it all.

Review 20:Hotel facilities very good, staff very helpful, food good although everything is buffet style so very basic. Pool very pretty.

Review 21:Think little far out from town.If want very quite relaxed place this isn't the hotel talking peak holiday season as can be quite loud at times.Think overdue also for renovations.

Review 22:Suite we had was gd but was on 2nd floor needed to be on top floor to take advantage of view.Pool area gd plenty of sun beds.Think good place for family's and younger people.

Review 23:Evening dress code, there wasn't one. People coming into dinner dressed as thought they had just come off the beach. The bar closing at 2300hrs for A/I. Another hour would have been good. The late food for travellers arriving late. A tired looking sandwich and a bottle of water!!

Review 24:Spyros the restaurant manager what a gentleman 10/10.The young dark haired female waitress who mainly served in the Ocean view area, another gem. The food was good, plenty of it.

Review 25:the sea was wavy and unclean. there was no private beach.

Review 26:great breakfast, friendly staff, perfect location. it takes only 10 min to the city centre by taxi and also takes 10 euros.

Review 27:drinks are very low quality the rooms doesn't look good at all internet access very expensive need to be renovate urgent location is out of the city

Review 28:the staff attitude is great the food is quite good nice swimming pool

Review 29:Paying for WIFI, paying for cocktails, free ice cream only available for children and lack of choice of food at snack bar, evening entertainment was poor, a bit chaotic and dis-organised.

Review 30:Great choice of food in the restaurant, helpful and friendly staff, pools were very clean and well maintained, rooms were cleaned every day and very comfortable, all in all a great value holiday and we have already booked up to go back next year!

Review 31:Room comfort Bathroom and shower too small All double beds are actually 2 single beds put together, very uncomfortable Food buffet very repetitive Noisy pool area at night and hallways

Review 32:Extremely friendly staff and service Value for money Good location Nice public beach in front of the hotel All inclusive worth it

Review 33:The wifi is poor and expensive

Review 34:The location is great, the staff is very friendly, the food is amazing, thepool is wonderful everything was great for us and you made our stayunforgettable.

Review 35:only bad thing for such wonderful hotel was no free wi-fi..and buying wi-fi was so expensive..

Review 36:Everything was so nice and perfect! staff were so helpful and kind..food was excellent!

Review 37:Very bad WI-FI

Review 38:Delicious food

Review 39:- WiFi wasn't free

Review 40:- The staff was very helpful and kind! - Very clean rooms - Very rich breakfast and meals - Good value for money

Review 41:Have to pay for wi-fi and sunbeds on the beach! Not that much space for kids to play. Missed a playground or somethong like that.

Review 52:No free internet connection. Not common for a 4 stars hotel.

Review 53:Good location and facilities, kind stuff.

Review 54:Rooms fornitures are quite aged. Door not lockable.

Review 55:Courtesy of front desk staff

Review 56:Absence of free WiFi connection.

Review 57:Kind staff, good location.

Review 58:Wifi access must be paid even with the all-inclusive package, and it's expensive.

Review 59:Food was extraordinary

Review 60:food a bit same each day but could eat it .sun loungers too close together and not enough of them and paying for wi fi

Review 61:entertainment .staff .bar area seats etc ..receptionist very helpful Had a very enjoyable relaxing holiday

Review 62:"all inclusive" - neither the drinks nor the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner!) are not tasty at all; not any greek food in the hotel - better to eat outside; 2 single beds sliding away from each other at night; umbrella for two on the stoney beach costs 8 €/day; safe costs 21 €/week; pool and carpet in the corridor slightly dirty; only unsufficient shampoo etc for free in the bathroom, bring your own

Review 63:windsurfing school 20m away (Surfer's paradise); Rhodes town 15 min by bus (2,30 €/person/direction); big pool; car rental in the hotel (55 €/day); lots of bar restaurants in 5 min walking distance; personell very friendly and helpful

Review 64:Rooms could be renewed. But the price/ quality was good. No wifiin the room.

Review 65:Great food! Nice staff.
