Review 1：One of our bathroom windows leaked and we had a lot of rain for the first few days,therefore a very flooded bathroom. Also the shower water was cold and we were told it was because the of the rain that the sun wasn't heating the solar panels!! Thankfully the sun appeared for the last few days and we go hot water. Not what you expect from a 5 star hotel!

Review 3：we loved staying here, but we were in off season and it was relatively empty. great pool and pool bar, but we did not like the monotonous music (was it music?) from the pool bar all day! plus we were very disappointed by the poor equipment in the gym. it is small but it should have higher standards.

Review 4：the lovely Dispoinia at reception made us feel very welcome and was always available for directions, suggestions. we loved our spacious bungalow with plunge pool and great cooking facilities, english tv channels, aircon, and outdoor sitting area. we could have stayed for a few weeks. villa di mare is well located , close to lots of restaurants/bus stop. their own is right on the beach and serves great greek and int. food all day!

Review 5：If you don't like road noise then this isn't the hotel for you although we did get used to it. Also, the bus into Rhodes town can be squashed standing room only depending on the time of day.

Review 6：I loved the relaxed atmosphere, the location right by the sea, two local bus stops are within a very short walking distance, that there are two good supermarkets within a twenty minute walk or a short 2 stop bus ride, you can self-cater or eat out, and the beautiful Rhodes town is around 4 miles away.

Review 7：The hotel is a bit run down in parts and needs a bit of paint on the pool side tables and a bit of TLC in areas, but overall it's great hotel

Review 10：We stayed in a Bungalow with private swimming pool. - Room: The room was huge, with a lovely fully equipped kitchen/living room and a very spacious bedroom. It had a private swimming pool, which was still quite generous in size and depth and extremely clean. - Public areas: The hotel has a central swimming pool and a bar next to it, with a view to the sea in the background. It's one of the few places that actually looks much much better live than in the pictures. - Restaurant: From 9 to 20 euros per dish, and no added cost for room service. Don't even bother going out to eat, this was by far the best restaurant we tried in Rhodes, and dishes were still comparatively cheaper than in other places.

Review 11：The hotel area is not in the city center, taxi to the old city (to the port) is about 8-9 euros. Even so, the hotel's area full of restaurants and markets. There is no beach near to the hotel (you can get into the sea but there is no beach with sun beds) the nearest beach from there is about 4-5 minutes walking from the hotel.

Review 12：The room was big and clean, with direct access to the pool. The atmosphere was intimate, there is a nice restaurant and bar next to the pool and the most important thing - the staff were amazing, helpful and very courteous !

Review 22：The staff are dedicated to serving the guests, polite and cant do enough for you. Food in the hotels restaurant is very good, and there are many other restaurants within 50m. Water sports available within 50m. Close to airport but plane noise isn't an issue.

Review 27：We were here in the first half of October and the weather was beautiful. Stay exceeded our expectations. There was no music at the pool, only a few people. We very much enjoyed it. There is a few steps to the sea. The beach is narrow, but access to the water is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful, big thanks to Anastasia! We lived in a bungalow with one bedroom, living room with kitchenette and bathroom. The bungalow is very spacious, with a covered terrace and a small private pool. I highly recommend it.

Review 28：Pool bar plays music that you can clearly hear in your room, with all doors & windows closed. Even when there are no customers at the bar at midnight! We left and went elsewhere.

Review 34：Villa di Mare is an odd place. It is basically a beach and pool club, with a bar serving drinks and snacks. The club entry is free and visitors pay nothing as long as they don't consume. On the outside, it does not say anywhere that it is also a hotel. Thus, the establishment caters to 2 different market segments of visitors - a more mass market segment centered around the pool and a more upscale segment of hotel guests. This is a very strange business model. It creates also a potential security risk for the hotel guests.

Review 36：Not necessarily a criticism, more a comment. The doors open at 9 to welcome a huge influx of bikinis to sit by the pool listening to louder and louder Beyoncee. By noon, and then again by 8pm, you're basically in a trendoid bar/club with throbbing music, rather than a hotel. Restaurant caters accordingly, so absurdly expensive for breakfast or feeding children.

Cocktails to die for and service is excellent- nothing is too muchtrouble. We visited the island of kos one day and night to see somefriends and the staff called us to see if we were ok as we hadn'tcome back that night and they were worried- lovely touch. We stayed inan apartment with its own pool- bliss! Rooms were huge and extremelyclean, beds and towels changed every day (or more frequently ifrequired). The cleaning girls even washed up for us every day!Definately would recommend this hotel. Really close to the old town ofRhodes (€10 in a taxi) lovely cobbled streets with lots of shops andrestaurants. No chavvy lager louts- very cosmopolitan!

Review 40：Music from the pool bar in the evening went on til 3am - there was no getting away from it. We asked to move to a quieter room but we're told we already had one of the quietest rooms in the hotel. Wi-fi connection was not very good. Could only get a decent connection around the pool area. Right by the sea, but no direct access to a beach.

Review 41：Very clean - fresh towels and bed linen every day. Great staff. Good location for local bars and restaurants. Plenty of sun beds and most guests didn't come out until after 11am so no need to get up early to reserve a sun bed. Well equipped kitchen and good sized apartments.

I am sure we will visit Rhodes again as it is an amazing island but we wouldn't choose to stay in Ixia/Ialysos again as they are far away from the nice beaches and very touristic.

Review 53：As an overnight transit place, Villa Di Mare works, but then it has to be mentioned that the formula of having a large pool, large bar and day users of the pool off a main tourist street may only appeal to certain people. Sure the small private swimming pools off each suite help, but the beach is not private and is a small strip of stones in front of a public walkway, the bar at night is active, loud and goes late. We ate breakfast elsewhere due to the very slow service and cost. The town is not attractive but again, it may be fine for other tourists.

Review 54：The Australian night manager was great, he helped us settle in, arranged car parking in the front and then helped us when we left. We chose the Villa Di Mare as it was a short distance from the airport and as we had a late arrival, we did not want to make the effort to travel into Rhodes Old Town. In this respect, it worked.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The pool area is super! Beautiful panoramic sea view. Good location, close (10 min by taxi) to Rhodes city. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. I like that the hotel is small, this makes it cosy. Excellent restaurant with very good world class food and friendly service. The pool bar with fantastic cocktails, nice sea view, lounge music at day and night and DJ at weekend nights creates very nice and cool atmposphere. Definitely recommend and would not hesitate to come back.

We are celebrate our 11th Anniversary, we booked the one with private pool which is wonderful! When we home, we keep watching the picture and the video to recall our memory (most of them were taking in this villa ) ! Actually what in our memory is only this Villa ! Thanks for making my anniversary such memorable ! Highly recommended to everyone ! Absolutely will go back again : )

Review 110：4 girls just got home after a wonderful week at Villa Di Mare. Thewelcome was absolutely fantastic and we were upgraded to a Master Suitefrom a Deluxe Bungalow. The bungalow (nr 104) was large with 2 bedroomsand 2 bathrooms. Outside we had great space and a private swimming poolwhich we used frequently! Others have complained about the loud music,but we had no problems with this. They could perhaps have severalplaylists to vary, because it was the same songs every day.The reception staff was very service minded and helped us with all inquiries. We also ate lunch and dinner several days in the hotel. The food was of a very high class and the service impeccable! The drinks at the pool bar was GOOD! We will give the warmest recommendations and plan to come back next year!

But what a beautiful place, with superb staff throughout, massive rooms, and a brilliant restaurant with an imaginative young chef and brilliant maître d'. Most of all we were appreciative that with a late arrival the reception had arranged for a choice of rooms to see what suited my disabled wife best. We ended up in a massive suite with wonderful balcony. The staff here are a Credit to the establishment, and we would not hesitate to recommend.

Perhaps one should compare it with other local hotels otherwise I wouldn't call this hotel 5 stars comparing to other 5 stars hotel I've stayed before. No beakfast. Weak Wi-Fi connection. Availability of reception personal (maybe because the high season was not started while we were there) The hotel is located on the Area called IXIA, an area between the airport and the old town of Rhodes, so if you, like me think Rhodes is just a small island and you don't need to mind the location of the hotel you are worng. The location is fine if you wanna just enjoy the pool or rent a car, but we paid a fee of 2,3€ for each bus ride.

Seatingin lounge is two single beds so not really that comfortable to relax andno tv in the lounge. Drinks on site we were expensive bars opposite muchcheaper. There were other quality hotels also in the area but the main street in Ixia and restaurants and shops were not so interesting. Luckily we had a car for the whole week and got easily to Rodos town every night and in daytime could drive around the island. Could get a parking space in front of the hotel every night, but this was not the high season.
