Reviews for The White House

Review 1:Lovely welcoming family home extremely relaxed and friendly and so comfortable cosy and warm and breakfast is lovely tasty sausages real bacon and all properly cooked not greasy

Review 2:Room decoration over the top. Bathroom needed improvement. Prefer to stay somewhere without a dog.

Review 3:Location convenient for visit to family and close to sea and village.

Review 4:Felt a bit runshed with breakfast delivered very quick and staff too egar to take your plate.

Review 5:lots of chioce at breakfast. Everything was clean and all needs met.

Review 6:The bathroom was almost double than the bedroom, I suggest to move the bed into the bathroom!!

Review 7:This b&b is really clean and nice The full English breakfast was very good

Review 8:It was really good pleasant people near to what we wanted and no restrictions come and go as you wanted food very Good and nice and hot well recommended Thanks would come again

Review 9:Bathroom carpet hadn't been vaccumed and wasn't the cleanest. Plug socket's covered dust and window handles not the cleanest.. Bathroom quite dated.

Review 10:Lovely breakfast and chatty owner. Comfortable mattress. Very large bath towels.

Review 11:On a main road traffic noises etc. Breakfast was just ok. nothing special. Cleanliness could be worked on, bathroom, bedroom and the outside. Will not be going back again.

Review 12:Beds were comfortable.

Review 13:I booked on line and there was an error with the price ! On arrival I was asked for £20 more than I had been quoted on line . The owners. Were very kind about it and apologised although it was not there fault . They allowed me to pay just £10 extra which was a good compromise. Other than this we had a great stay.

Review 14:Very clean Great breakfast Friendly owners

Review 15:Avoid Carter roof : you head will hit the ceiling. Carpet on the WC/shower room. Room is too small for the price you pay. Towels not changed everyday even if you put them on the floor ... in the Ibis far cheaper they change them without you need to ask !! Poor continental breakfast ... moreover served until 9 ... I preferred to sleep !! The wifi works if you are stuck to the door. Be careful you are supposed to leave the room at 10.30am (not 12.00)

Review 16:The daddy is lovely.

Review 17:The Wifi did not work at all well.

Review 18:The White House had what we needed for a short stay in the centre of Highcliffe to attend a funeral - A comfortable room at a reasonable price, with a very good breakfast.

Review 19:Comfortable, relaxed, accomodation and lovely owner. Very convenient location, although if sensitive to traffic noise bear in mind some rooms face on to the fairly busy road running through the village.

Review 20:Comfy bed, room had everything we wanted, easy parking, free wi fi, tasty vegetarian breakfast, great hosts, perfect location near coastal walk, pubs, little shops.

Review 21:The hotel in general looks a little old-fashioned (but it is clean). At £85 per night, it was a little expensive for what it was.

Review 22:Very friendly welcome, good breakfast, clean rooms. Well located on Highcliffe high street, but no problem with traffic noise.

Review 23:Dust/dirt on skirting boards, blinds, telly etc, stained cushions and worn chair at dressing table. Nowhere to hang clothes except a cupboard where old chairs were stored.

Review 24:The breakfast was lovely! The bed linen and towels were very clean. The hosts were very welcoming.

Review 27:The only small comment would be, perhaps larger tables in the breakfast room, as the table quickly became rather full, so there was quiet a bit of juggling going on.

Review 28:The welcome was really friendly but not over powering. the property was very clean, the White House theme was nice and subtle with each room being name after a president. Breakfast was tasty and hot with friendly smiling service.

Review 29:I would say that the room needed a new kettle and the bathroom could do with a little updating. The high street traffic noise was a little intrusive but was quiet enough at night to have the window open and sleep.

Review 30:The breakfast was good and it was in a good location. The beach was about 1/4 mile away and being situated on the high street, we only had to walk a short way to a Tesco.

Review 31:N/A

Review 32:The owners of the White House were very friendly and very kind to our little girl, the guest house was in a fabulous location for the new forest and Peppa Pig World, a comfortable, clean room and yummy breakfast, the whole thing was very good value for money,I would recommend the White House to others

Review 33:Room was well provided, with tea/coffee etc, towels, TV, good shower etc. Icing on the cake would have been a sitting-room or somewhere to sit other than in our room

Review 34:Handed a door key and total freedom to come and go as we pleased. Tea and coffee freely available, not the usual two or so of each. Toilet separate from the shower.

Review 35:The room was lovely, really comfortable. Every need catered for. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was fantastic.

Review 36:Clean,Comfortable, Breakfast good, Power-shower brilliant. Bed fine [slept like a log]. Parking a bit tight down the side to the rear, but our car is a small family saloon so no problem.

Review 37:No decent chairs to sit on because room was too small but it served it's purpose.also Occupation from 16.30 'til 10.30 seemed a bit sparse although it could be changed by arrangement.

Review 38:Close to where we were going that night

Review 39:Breakfast cut off a bit early especially when on vacation - we like a lie in !

Review 40:Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Well placed for our love of walking - both the beaches and New Forest.

Review 41:The toilet in our en suite didn't flush on first attempt each time we used it.

Review 42:Lovely, clean bedroom with plenty of space. Able to pre-order breakfast for the next morning with plenty of options available.

Review 43:The whitehouse was home from home warm cosy lovely decor so welcoming we didn't want to leave and will defiantly go back , the breakfast was cooked perfect with a large selection of extras , we could come and go as we pleased and were made very welcome

Review 44:kennedy room is smaller than the one we had before but it was the last room available for the dates we wanted but everything was excellent

Review 45:everything was very good

Review 46:Whats not to like???

Review 47:Parking Comfortable room with settee WiFi Nice beds good shower great breakfast what else do you need its a B&B not the Dorchester.

Review 48:I didn't think to ask as we were only staying for 1 night, but the milk in the room was full cream, and I prefer semi-skimmed!

Review 49:Everything was very clean and there was plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Review 50:The heat in the rooms. It was extremely hot so had to open a window could hear the traffic noise. Maybe the heating should be turned down a little it would save them quite a lot on heating bills. I guess they just want their guest to be comfortable which we were e cept for the heat.

Review 51:The rooms were very clean and very well presented. Plenty of tea and coffee left in the room. The breakfast was excellent very large and beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were very attentive would definately stay there again

Review 52:Access to the car park at the rear of the house is very narrow and would be difficult if you had a large car. The TV reception was poor with the sound not synchronised with the lips.

Review 53:Friendly Service and very good cooked breakfast and very good filter coffee. A comfortable room.

Review 54:not a lot really to say about the place except we couldn't really have the bedroom window open at night because of the traffic on the road but was no fault of the owners other than that all ok

Review 55:Lovely Owners, smashing breakfast, very fast service, didn't have to wait for more than 1 minute for meal and collecting plates when finished, would definitely stay there again if I was down that area and can park car off the road , shower in Lincoln room fantastic,(power shower)

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:Everything - We had been to visit friends to collect some family history from WW1. We needed a place to stay before going on to the airshow at Eastborne the next day. We had a good stay, good room, good people, good breakfast. I would recommend the White House.

Review 58:Traffic noise from Lymington Road wasn't ideal.

Review 59:The room was a decent size with large ensuite bathroom and nicely decorated. Dining facilities were good and service was excellent. We'll see you again!

Review 60:Nothing, it's a good value B&B, we'd stay there again.

Review 61:Ann and Bob are very friendly and helpful but let you get on and enjoyyour stay. Breakfast was very good, and good value too all round. Theroom was comfortable (although a little warm in the heat wave!) but wewere able to leave windows open and there was a fan and mini fridgeprovided. Walking distance to nice beaches and there's a bus up intoNew Forest if you don't have a car. 2 nice pubs and shops around foressentials.

Review 62:A little unclean for me in the bathroom. Also (and I realise there is little that can be done for this) the entrance to the car park is so very small, was genuinely concerned about getting my car in and out.

Review 63:The lady who runs/owns this is lovely. Nice friendly atmosphere, great service. Breakfast lovely and kettle etc in room

Review 64:We felt as if we were a nuisance being there. The dining room table for two was so small there was not room to put anything. We were not asked how we slept, was everything OK, not offered more tea or toast. Room could have done with a touch up off paintwork and doors etc could have done with a good wash down.

Review 65:Location is good and car parking is a bonus

Review 66:Noise of the traffic. Bedroom rather space-restricted

Review 67:Breakfast! Mugs for self- service drinks instead of cups. Roomy bathroom, (but very heavy door). Friendly hostess.
