Reviews for B&B Domaine de la Ramade
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Everything! Rustic, friendly, wine, breakfast, location, the open country side, the setting.... A big change from boxed in hotels. It was exactly what we expected...
Review 3:Everything. Location is wonderful facing the vineyard, peaceful and yet very easy access to the city and the seaside. Room very nice and spacious and comfy. Breakfast also great with homemade marmalade.
Review 4:One of two couples at breakfast, thought we were late and that's why there were only 2 pain au chocolate left between us. No effort made to replenish the breakfast Buffett. As we were leaving we notice the basket full of croissant and no one to eat them! The Domaine is quite remote and we were not sure about security.
Review 5:Great pool, but you had to find someone to take the cover off. Not very welcoming.
Review 6:The ability to have a meal at the premises would be a good idea. You either have to go into Narbonne or to another winery/chateau to have dinner.
Review 7:The staff at the premises were delightful. The room was exceptionally comfortable and it was the best bed I have slept on! It was very quiet with the balcony door closed, apart from a little corridor noise. Breakfast was basic but we didn't expect more that croissants, bread, yogurts, although fresh fruit would have been appreciated. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and it was a good one. The pool area was nice and there were plenty of pool lounges - we were the only ones who used the pool.
Review 8:Close to Med. and Narbonne but in a quiet area. Lovely to cool down in the swimming pool after a hot day! Clean and comfortable room, well equipped. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with everything freshly prepared.
Review 9:We booked last minute and really lucked out! Room was very clean and attractive with comfortable beds. Breakfast was simple, delicious and served in a charming space. The location is gorgeous, quiet, close to the beach and not too far from town. Wine is delicious. Best of all the inn keepers are delightful! Great value!
Review 10:Despite Christian not being able to speak English and me not being able to speak french he was so kind and went out of his way to help us, to make us feel at home and to make us feel very welcome. He was great with the kids too.
Review 11:Issue with heating system meant bedrooms could have been warmer, however the staff reacted very quickly and gave us a warmer suite. Wifi works but slow browsing. Table d'hôte service would be great as you need to drive to eat out.
Review 12:Rooms are nicely fitted, very comfy beds. Nice family rooms (2 bedrooms seperated by a corridor). Fridge in family rooms. Friendly welcome by breakfast lady who had very useful tips about visiting the area (Gruissan well worth a visit)
Review 13:The rooms aren't cleaned daily or bins emptied, but not a problem as long as you know this. You can hear the traffic on the main road, so not quite as remote as we'd expected (but easier to find) but it didn't disturb us.
Review 14:We had a lovely 2-bedroom suite, with patio, and a view over the pool from the second bedroom. The beds were fantastically comfortable. The children loved the pool and had it to themselves. The breakfasts were excellent, really fresh with a good choice of food. Location between Narbonne and Narbonne Plage was ideal, and a great base to explore a lovely area. Narbonne Plage is a lovely beach and there was a nice market on Saturday morning, city of Narbonne also well worth visiting.
Review 15:Would prefer a UK style shower rather than the French style shower in the bath.
Review 16:Gorgeous location in the garrigue. Easy access to both the city of Narbonne and the beaches of Narbonne Plage and Gruissan. Staff, especially Martine, very friendly and helpful. Room with sejour and terrace. Breakfast. The pool and garden. Being on a genuine working vineyard.
Review 17:No soap or shampoo. As we were on bikes the lack of a restaurant meant we had to cycle 14 km for dinner on busy roads.
Review 18:Comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Review 19:Location ...Narbonne Plage a few miles away, easy to get to carcassonne etc. fairly comfy rooms and good swimming pool. Breakfast was good. Wine tasting a bonus.
Review 20:Loved being on vineyard very present people very helpful alround good . Bob
Review 21:Nothing could not fault the place
Review 22:Everything this place is a Gem, would definitely go back to stay here for a longer stay
Review 23:The mosquitos.
Review 24:Beautiful place, surrounding countryside impressive.
Review 25:Horses and stables were a treat. Lovely breakfast and comfy beds. But the village needs a small restaurant Too far to travel to find a decent one.
Review 26:Great staff. Nothing was too much trouble
Review 27:Servis, please, keep smiling :-))
Review 28:Good breakfest, nice swimming pool, not to small, very nice place. Maybe to close to main road to the beach.
Review 29:Not much to moan about
Review 30:Quietness. Immediate pool area, helpful staff
Review 31:Great setting. Located in the middle of a winery. Martine who runs the operation is great. The wine produced there is also very good. There is a swimming pool - not yet open - but it will be welcomed in the summer. Breakfast was also good. Highly recommend and will stay there again.
Review 32:The facilities were a bit limited- I.e. no bar to get drinks etc. It's also slightly far awy from any village, so it's ideal if you're there if you would like to be in complete isolation, but if you're looking for some attraction, don't book here.
Review 33:This B&B is located in a winery house(Domaine) and I believe has only a few rooms they rent-out. The rooms are very spacious(we had the suite) and very convenient for a family of 4. Our room had a small terras as well. In summer they have also a pool, but during our stay in April it was closed. the scenary aroudn the farm is also very nice and ideal for hiking etc.
Review 34:We were happy to drive to either the city or the beach for dinner, but if you prefer to drink with your meal then this location may not be for you.
Review 35:Lovely quiet location, good breakfast and friendly - but not 'in your face' - host. Easy to find and well place between the city and the beach.
Review 36:The underfloor heating in the lounge wasn't working, but it was lovely and cosy elsewhere
Review 37:We liked our suite as we had a large bedroom, bathroom and a lounge with TV & fridge. This had French doors leading onto a private patio with a table & chairs. Martine served a good breakfast in front of the log fire.
Review 38:For the price, I would have expected the room to be made up/cleaned daily. Wasps around the pool made it unusable.
Review 39:Nicely decorated and comfortable room with great views of the vineyard and surrounding natural landscape. The location was convenient for day trips to the beach and/or Narbonne's charming center city. Very peaceful setting.
Review 40:I felt the exterior could have some work done on it. And perhaps the rooms would benefit from air con.
Review 41:The relaxed ambiance, the décor was very impressive with a excellent quality fittings and finish. Also the breakfast was good. Everyone was very friendly and the price was very competitive against similar hotels.
Review 42:Lack of facilities or access to drinks
Review 43:Accomodation very good - missing some useful items such as hair dryer but otherwise lovely. Pool area quiet and relaxing
Review 44:Far from everything, no room cleaning, I had to ask for toilet paper, room was full of mosquitoes, communication was really difficult cause theEnglish spoken there was really poor.I Consider them very amateur.
Review 45:The atmosphere.
Review 46:Difficult to locate with satnav.
Review 47:Unusual and interesting development, with well-planned and beautifully furnished rooms. Great location and views. Some way from the sea but wonderful drive to beach. Friendly, helpful staff.
Review 48:No room service, no new toilet paper (only on request)
Review 49:It was easy to find. They had new signs on the road.
Review 50:No curtain on shower . Narbonne closed Sunday and Monday .
Review 51:Location
Review 52:We disliked the staff; their attitude was rude, unpolite and unhelpful.
Review 53:We enjoyed the location.
Review 54:The location is very pretty....in the middle of all the vineyards.
Review 55:Had to drive a couple of miles to get dinner , it would be good if they did evening meals .
Review 56:Rooms amazing and lively small pool to relax by.
Review 57:Lovely place to stay and relax. Room was wonderful. Host very helpful. Would recommend to all.
Review 58:Maybe pay more attention to cleanliness of the room.
Review 59:Location. Interesting and attractive rooms. Careful attention. Tasty wine.
Review 60:Friendly reception, comfortable room and excellent breakfast with home made jams.
