Reviews for Spire Cottage
Review 1:Made to feel very welcome right from start! And it was the small things, like green tea as refreshment (which we said we liked) in our room and for breakfast! Very friendly and professional service! Thank you!
Review 2:Would have been nice to be introduced to the booklet with wifi info, also would be nice to offer different pricing for continental vs traditional English breakfast. For vegetarians doesn't seem fair.
Review 3:Clean, great location, historical property, good value, walk to Chicester, comfortable room, free wifi.
Review 4:Sharing a table at breakfast.
Review 5:Immaculately clean room, with attention to detail and lots of really considerate extra's to make your stay really comfortable.
Review 6:We were welcomed by the owner when we arrived - before mid-day as we had to leave straight away to get to a rehearsal on time. Also as we had to leave by 8am Sunday, We were provided with a cooked breakfast at 7.30 which was very kind and much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend the Cottage - a home from home!
Review 7:the mattress was too soft
Review 8:the clean annex; the pot of tea; figs on the breakfast table; ALL the fruit on the breakfast table; the fresh-squeezed orange juice with bits; individually cooked food; the hosts' hard work; the underfloor heating; the misty weather; the send-off from the two dogs in the garden

Review 13:Quiet rural location but still so close to Chichester (walkable along the canal path), many good pubs and pretty villages and quay sides. Rooms equipped with thoughtful extras were very comfortable. Breakfasts were bountiful and delicious. Lots of choices available. Best of ingredients and served piping hot. Jan and helper very friendly and helpful. Dogs playing outside in garden a delight.
Review 14:it is difficult to say in a few sentences, but we found Spire cottage superb. The location, The staff[Jan],the cottage itself could not fault. Will definatley stay here again.
Review 15:Always friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and the bathroom fantastic. We had double showers and an enormous bath. I also appreciated the flowers in the room. Breakfasts were also something to look forward to. Most likely we will be returning.

Review 17:Lovely location with excellent accommodation. My husband and I stayed in the Garden room which had everything you could ask for. Jan and her staff were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely book again if in that area. Thank you for having us.
Review 18:We liked everything about the place, situated on a very quiet dead end road on the edge of the village of Hunston, a very short walk from the local pub where we went on two of the nights and found the food to be very nice with good service. After a 200 mile motorcycle trip on a hot day to get here we were welcomed with a pot of tea in our room and nothing seemed too much trouble to make us feel welcome. Chichester is a pleasant one hour walk by the canal or there are plenty of buses passing the nearby bus stop. We would stay here again.
Review 19:The only things I have marked spire cottage down on is that there was no wifi signal at all in our room
Review 20:Gorgeous room that couldn't have been cleaner! Location is very peaceful, easy drive to west wittering beach and a 39 min walk along the canal to Chichester
Review 21:The room was beautifully presented. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was fabulous with an enormous bath and separate double shower. Breakfast absolutely delicious with lots of choice. A pleasant canal side 1.5 mile walk into Chichester.
Review 22:Everything - from the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothingwas too much trouble. We were greeted warmly with a freshly brewed potof tea. Jan asked if we knew the area then proceeded to give usrecommendations of local eateries. Room was beautiful, spotless (as werethe en-suite facilities). Room was supplied withtea/coffee/biscuits, along with water in the fridge and a box ofchocolates. Also two lovely displays of fresh flowers. Will definitelybe back. If in doubt book today - dont miss your chance to stay here.

Review 32:A lovely old property, tastefully renovated, a little off the main road and backing on to fields so nice and quiet. The room was excellent and despite being the end of November it was beautifully warm. The breakfasts were great and Jan was very welcoming.
Review 33:The place was very quiet and secluded, just what we wanted. Plus I left a couple of things there, and the lovely Jan posted the to me! Would highly recommend. Plus they do amazing home-made jams too. Very easy to get to from London.
Review 34:no allowance made for a single person staying in double room fridge was noisy, so I turned it off in middle of the night ( could have been alerted to this ) not able to open any windows, realised too late to ask owner for key to window
Review 35:comfortable room, quiet, only 200yards from local shops and pub good choice of food for breakfast kettle and various drinks in room ,
Review 36:I had a problem connecting to the internet using the instructions in the book that was in my room. Could have been my fault.
Review 37:When we first pulled up we weren't sure that we were at the right place. Once inside the rooms were more than lovely. Lovely pot of coffee with biscuits, even a bar of chocolate in the fridge. The breakfast was top notch. My only negative was that I couldn't connect to the Internet using the instructions in the guide book in my room. But that might have been down to me. All in all, tremendous value for money and would certainly recommend !
