Review 2:Nothing to not like - perfect in every way!

Review 3:The hosts were extremely attentive and helpful - they couldn't have done more to help us feel welcome. 5* treatment. Breakfast a triumph of local produce, expertly cooked. Nothing too much trouble. Location perfect for visits to Chichester and the coast.

Review 4:Martin and Nicki definitely go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them . Best bed and breakfast experience we have had. The breakfast is not to be missed , with home made bread and jams and Martin makes an excellent full english. Highly recommend it , would have no hesitation in staying again.

Review 5:The owners were very hospitable and welcoming. The bedroom and dining room were well appointed and very clean. We were given excellent information on local eating places.

Review 6:We received a fantastic welcome and lots of information from the owners. The room was spacious and had lovely facilities, very clean with fresh flowers & nice toiletries. Martin cooked a great breakfast, and the area was lovely to explore. Can't ask for more!

Review 7:we couldn't fault a thing

Review 8:Everything was beautifully decorated, Martin and Nicky are such lovely people... We couldn't of asked for a better stay! Amazing cook! Thank you!

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:Probably our best ever B&B experience. Excellent quaility fixtures and fittings. Lots of little thoughtful touches and a warm welcome. Breakfast outstanding with local produce and homemade bread, jam. Would return in a flash.

Review 11:The best B&B we've stayed at. Fabulous location, wonderful hosts; simply luxurious. Breakfast was delicious and you wanted for nothing. The help offered navigating our way around the area was gratefully received as was the loan of bicycles. The attention to detail (fresh produce, flowers, chocolates, toiletries, Pilates etc) was the icing on the cake.

Review 12:There is no phone signal, but this fact is so massively outweighed by the rest of their service and the quality of the accomadation.

Review 13:Everything was perfect, we arrived late but they had some beers waiting for us when we arrived!

Review 14:Better than any 5 star hotel. The attention to detail and quality of finish as well as the mix of kitsch and modern services was a total pleasure and enjoyment of the stay. Like staying with old friends.

Review 15:Nicky & Martin are the warmest hosts possible sharing their charming home with easy access to the stunningly beautiful estuary and surrounding villages . A MUST !

Review 16:Owners were very friendly and helpful. Location excellent for walks around Chichester harbour and East Head (a short drive away). Very clean, comfortable rooms. Very tasty breakfast.

Review 17:That we had to leave!

Review 18:All of it! Martin was a fabulous host, the accommodation and food superb. I loved the style and decor ! It felt like an absolute treat to stay. Beyond expectation and excellent value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.

Review 19:Nothing - but saying goodbye...

Review 20:Our generous hosts Martin & Nicky, peaceful location and beautiful property. Their welcome made us feel at home straight away. Best B&B we have ever stayed in.

Review 21:The quiet tucked away location yet just a walk away from the marina or a 5th drive to the beach. Plus the personal homely touches that made it nicer than a bland hotel room.

Review 22:The less than friendly other guests at breakfast and just a less than all the other lovely things, the soap by the bath in my opinion should always be a fresh bar and not one used by someone else.

Review 23:Things i loved were the super comfortable super king bed, the locally sourced sausages, fresh coffee and the fresh flowers in my room. I also liked the fresh milk rather than that horrible pre packed UHT stuff that hotels provide and the amazing location.

Review 24:Warm, genuinely friendly welcome - tea, chat and homemade cake. Immaculate guest lodge, thoughtful touches throughout. Martin makes a mean breakfast! This place is a keeper, add it to the top of your list.

Review 25:We were given an extremely warm welcome, the room was very clean and comfortable. All furnishings to a very high standard. The fridge in the room was a welcome bonus. Lots of good walks from the accommodation and excellent pubs nearby

Review 26:The resident dog took a dislike to our dog which made going to and from our room in the house a bit tense. We would obviously have been better off in the annexe room - we'll know to book it next time.

Review 27:Beautifully appointed room, top quality furnishings, luxury bath robes and towels, tea and delicious home-made mince pies on arrival, fridge in room stocked with water, wine, milk. home made muesli and yummy breakfast cooked to order. Martin and Nicky certainly go the extra mile to make their guests' experience as good as possible.

Review 28:Having to leave!

Review 29:Personal friendly service. All the extra little touches like tea and cake on arrival. Cake and chocolates also left in room for our return from a day out. Very comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts with home made bread.

Review 30:Everything!! The home made bread, Christmas cake and banana bread! Fabulous breakfast and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The room as spacious and comfortable. Very relaxing

Review 31:Exceptionally welcoming hosts and beautiful self contained accommodation. After a hard day on the road it is incredibly important to be able to relax in comfort. Martin and Nicky were fantastic hosts and I cannot fault Church Lodge in anyway. Don't forget your tracksuit bottoms and try to catch a Pilates class whilst you're there. You won't regret it! Beautiful breakfast (with home baked bread!) catering to my dietary requirements. Cannot recommend more highly.

Review 32:Nothing to dislike !!!

Review 33:Everything about Church Lodge is exceptional, especially after a long day out we arrived back to find our lights had been left on for us, which was a welcome sight. Martin and Nicky couldn't do enough for us, breakfast was freshly cooked and we were not hurried along everything wS at our own pace.

Review 34:No not likes

Review 35:Really hospitable hosts ----------helpful 'beyond the call of duty'' Modern(near new) ,well appointed room ,with both shower and bath plus separate wc. Undercover cycle storage. Off-road parking---all good

Review 36:Nothing!

Review 37:We had a really excellent B&B experience. Martin and Nikki couldn't have been more pleasant and attentive to our needs. The location was great for both Chichester attractions and the beautiful surrounding countryside. We will be back!

Review 38:There's nothing to dislike - just fabulous!

Review 39:We have tried many B and Bs in the Chichester area and this is the best. So much so that we won't be looking any further than Church Lodge in the future. Lovely couple, excellent facilities, great breakfast (best in the world - ever! - thanks Martin).

Review 40:There was nothing we didn't thoroughly enjoy about our stay.

Review 41:Everything was done to the highest standard making for a wonderful stay. In particular, the friendliness and hospitality shown by Nikki and Martin was outstanding - nothing was too much trouble for them. Nikki even hovered the sand from our car after a walk on the lovely West Wittering beach. Breakfast was also superb.

Review 42:Think I would prefer a smaller table though on this occasion we had the table to ourselves as we had to be away early

Review 43:Only able to manage one night with my mother but it was lovely. Martin was so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was clean and fresh with lovely little touches such as fresh flowers, welcome tray and a jug of fresh milk in the fridge provided in the room (no cartons!) and the most gorgeous smelling hand lotion. Would definately recommend and visit again when the opportunity arises.

Review 44:Only staying one night. Really there is nothing not to like at this B & B

Review 45:Such a friendly welcome! Our room was fabulously provided, the height of luxury. A very quiet location. On-site parking. The breakfast was awesome, especially the homemade muesli.

Review 46:nothing

Review 47:The owners helped greatly in making this a most relaxing break. The immediate area is so peaceful. especially at night when the stars came out in all their full glory (no light pollution here!). The breakfast was particularly good too.

Review 48:The accommodation was bright, clean and spacious. The facilities were excellent. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was very satisfying with plenty of choice. Can recommend the full English and home-made muesli! Our hosts were extremely knowledgeable of the locality, very friendly and very helpful. Can thoroughly recommend!

Review 49:Being thrown together at breakfast. We found it strange to be introduced to other guests over our orange juice. Two small tables would have been better

Review 50:Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great position between Chichester and the beautiful beaches of West Wittering. Very clean and comfortable. High standard throughout

Review 51:The accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable. The owners Nikki and Martin were both friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Even able to use their bikes and was given a lift to the local pub for dinner!

Review 52:There was nothing we did not like

Review 53:My boyfriend and I stayed at the Church Lodge for a short 5 days breakand we absolutely loved it from the moment we arrived! We were taking upKite Flying lessons down at the West Wittering beach as well as cyclingoff-road. Having a beautiful place that felt like home to get back to inthe evenings to relax was crucial for us. The Church Lodge was an idealplace. This gorgeous house is tacked away in a beautiful tranquilvillage of Birdham, comfortable bike ride away from West Witteringbeach, Birdham pool marine, Itchenor Sailing Club and numerous eateries. Our room was lovingly decorated in subtle colours with the mostcomfortable huge bed I`ve ever slept in, the bedroom was big andcompletely soundproof, giving us the privacy and the quiet we needed, 3water jugs was refilled with fresh water every morning; the bathroom wasvery clean and generously sized, had a window, huge mirror, a bath and aseparate double-shower as well as 2 sinks! The entire house smelledfresh and lovely and had a pleasant decor throughout. Everything wasvery clean and cared for. In the mornings, we had a choice whether tohave our yummy home cooked breakfast and real coffee (!!! frenchpressedor from the machine) in the dining room or on a patio in the Sun facinggarden. Both Nikki and Martin were exceptional hosts and had so much tooffer - home made and cooked breakfast, packed picnic lunches onrequest, really good local knowledge (bike routes, restaurants, placesto go, events to attend, massages etc), private Pilates lessons (Nikkiis an amazing teacher with a passion, highly recommend), livelyconversations and hearty smiles! Do not be put off by the Lodge beingalso Nikki and Martin`s home, our privacy was completely respected andit felt more private than staying in a hotel. Also, their gorgeous huskyis a super friendly, polite and very well behaved dog that minds her ownbusiness and lives outside.

Review 54:We had a 2 night stay and enjoyed it very much, the large bed and luxurious pillows ensured a really good nights sleep and we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast outside on the decked terrace with delicious home made Muesli and a superb cooked breakfast! We used the bikes that were available to use free of charge and rode to the beach for a really good day out and took advantage of all the wonderful surroundings from the use of pedal power! The hosts Martin and Nicky are so friendly and welcoming making our stay thoroughly enjoyable!

Review 55:Nothing at all.

Review 56:Beautiful house and surroundings. Really enjoyed eating breakfast in the lovely garden. The owners were excellent hosts, very friendly.

Review 57:No negatives at all

Review 58:It would be difficult to find a boutique B&B to rival this place. The owners were great hosts, the breakfast was wonderful and local produce, the room and bathroom were of a very high standard, top quality linens and towels. You can tell the owners want you to have the best time. Lots of lovely touches such as homemade soaps .

Review 59:There was nothing negative to say about church lodge.

Review 60:The room was beautiful clean and had everything needed. Martin and Nicky were great hosts and anything we asked them they were able to answer and help with. Really went out of their way to make us feel at home

Review 61:Surprised at first about sharing the main house with the hosts, but this proved NOT to be an issue at all and we had a fantastic stay

Review 62:Martin and Nicky the hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful Lovely property and garden to relax in Excellent breakfast Great location Brilliant attention to detail

Review 63:Nicky and Martin were exceptional hosts and made us feel extremely welcome and 'part of their family'. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and the details of what they provided made our stay extra-special. The luxury room is self-contained and very private. The attention given to superior-quality bed linen, towels, bathrobes, organic toiletries, Parisian-style décor and furniture in natural duck-egg, grey and navy tones made our stay in this 'boutique' B and B decadent. We used the 'free' bicycles and thoroughly enjoyed the route to West Wittering beach as well as the coastal path we walked. The village of Birdham is perfectly situated for the beach and Chichester, and it is an idyllic setting for a tranquil break. We will undoubtedly return and we will feel confident that Nicky and Martin will make us feel pampered once again. The home-made muesli and locally-sourced fresh produce for breakfast along with superb restaurant recommendations for supper are also a reason to visit again. This is a new adventure for Nicky and Martin that they are passionate about. This makes their establishment a perfect choice. You will not regret it! Kindest thanks to both of you, Kirsty and Adam Knowles
