Reviews for Bowes House

Review 1:The house is difficult to find at the bottom of a very rutted lane. The bed was very hard, and the temperature of the shower wasn't constant.

Review 2:Owner very friendly and helpful, good breakfast. Comfortable lounge. Nice view of the garden.

Review 3:the track to the house was rather a challenge to my friends small car and would have been impossible to walk down with such huge potfules full of water. my single bedroom was rather sparse and had no tea/coffee making facilities. shared bathroom somewhat of a challenge.

Review 4:charming hostess, great scenic views, beautiful house. 2 cats and dog a special bonus. good breakfast

Review 5:A bit hard to find in the dark, worth asking for directions/ landmarks before arriving (we hadn't).

Review 6:Generous room, lovely simple but classic decor; clean, well decorated and modern looking; friendly owner; great breakfast; well-behaved dog (Poppy). Loved the little touches - 'proper' furniture and accessories, old children's books - just like staying in a friend's house. Wonderful location.

Review 7:It was a fantastic welcome and a wonderful stay! A beautiful house with a very heartily family. The view over the fields at sunrise is unforgettable. Thank you for all the tips where to go and the warm and welcoming time, it really was fantastic!

Review 8:No wifi. If you want to eat at the local pub you need to book!

Review 9:Comfortable good sized room with a super bed. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful garden in a peaceful setting.

Review 10:Difficult to find , we travelled a long way , were tired and frustrated , when we eventually found it with the help of a local we discovered that we'd past it numerous times but the sign is small it was extremely hard to find.

Review 11:As this was our first overnight stop after arriving from our epic journey of 19 hours , it was disappointing.

Review 12:There were a few niggles making the booking (a deposit is required in advance) and in locating and contacting them during our stay (don't rely on mobile phone signal / data in deepest Dorset!)

Review 13:Huge room (the blue room) with a large bed and spacious bathroom. Very tastefully decorated throughout, including the living room with open fire, and breakfast table with lovely views. Owner Lisa was pleasant and accommodating - providing a cot for our baby, bringing us hot drinks in the living room, and promptly posting on a forgotten item. Breakfast was substantial and delicious, including freshly baked hot cross buns.

Review 14:Nice house, beautifully situated with wide, panoramic views. Clean and comfortable rooms and wholesome breakfast with a choice of organic cereals and preserves. Small cooked breakfast to follow.

Review 15:The best Bed & Breakfast I have ever stayed at! I would definitely return again.

Review 16:Would have liked more tea and coffee making ingredients and some toiletries.
