Review 1：No disabled facilities in spa, check in OK but no o Ffestiniog of help with luggage etc, just hello and heres the keys, public areas bit cold, last night noisy reception, lovely but bit remote

Review 8：Our room wasn't cleaned properly. There were dead bugs behind chairs and under curtains. I asked for tea and coffee making supplies which took quite some time to deliver. We used the stairs to get to our room and for our entire stay we walked past the same two sizey dead moths. However we did bring this to the reception staffs attention and they were very understanding about our concerns. I would recommend this hotel regardless, we had a very pleasant relaxing stay. Next time I'm certain the cleaning staff will be more thorough. Thanks diplomat hotel. See you next time ?

The room is not big but felt nice with old English style window frames and window lockers. Internet is very bad at the couch house and you need to call reception every 24 hours to renew it with the new Wi-Fi access code.

On some evenings the car park was cordoned off to allow the coach to park making parking difficult. The beds were also too soft. We will not be booking a Best Western hotel again. Review 25：I had the worst nights sleep ever in a hotel because of the awful live act that bellowed through our room til 1.30 am. Truly awful made worse by the general drunken noise from the bar. The basic function of any hotel should be to provide a good nights sleep!! This hotel is in a 70's time warp with dodgy decor that doesn't deliver. Not recommended.

Review 27：We were not in the hotel but in an outside building which was disappointing. We got bitten on our first night there (bed bugs?), and the room was not clean. The breakfast staff (one waitress in particular) were awful - got it wrong every morning for 5 mornings! Breakfast food of poor quality so did not try restaurant for evening meals.

Review 61：Bed bugs! Room 18 - bad infestation. I am still suffering badly with a large number of bites all over my body. I have come across bed bugs once before in France and the bites are unmistakable - in rows of 3 bites. I called and let the hotel know. The manager was polite enough but did not take it seriously enough and did not offer anything by way of apology. The least he could have done was to offer a refund, but he did not. My employer has already cancelled at least 5 rooms as a result of my experience and I suspect will not be using your hotel again in the future - I certainly won't.

Review 63：We were a bit disappointed with the spa facilities. We've been before and were well looked after with robes slippers and coffees. This time we were held to ransom over towels as we had to give in our room keys but didn't have appropriate clothes to go back upstairs (that's where the robes come in). No robes slippers or coffees this time and certainly no child monitoring in the sauna. It's been better to be honest. Plus we didn't have anything to put our wet swimwear in and had to 'borrow' a bin bag. Our room was nice and clean, bed a bit small and hard but bearable for 1 night I suppose.

I think you should be advised if you are going to be in a room outside of the actual Hotel building. We were still charged the same rate for that room and I feel they should be cheaper. The plumbing in the coach house definitely needs addressing.

We had a bonus on our second night stay of being allowed in to watch the Welsh Factor which was being held at the hotel. What an amazing load of talented people wales has. Marvellous night of entertainment I certainly would not of wanted to be one of the judges because it was very hard to choose the best one.

We were told that breakfast was served until 10.30 but I was informed that breakfast was finished so had to make do with cereal and what was left of the fruit.

If this is not always possible, it would be nice to have a knock on the door to ask if everything was ok perhaps? Important that ALL hotel staff show more confidence in greeting and relating to the guests. Some seemed lacking in this regard. Also, where was our Welsh flag? Hope it's there next time we come!

Review 107：Having stayed in many hotels, we were very impressed with the room, and entertainment on offer. My husband, who will only stay in hotels with a spa, thought that yours was second to none and better than many he has used. We used the hotel for a one night stay as we had been out with friends locally . Should we be invited again, we will definitely stay with you. Da iawn!

Review 110：However, we had booked a double room and there were no double rooms available when we got there so my partner and I were stuck in a twin room for the night, we put the two beds together but it was the worst nights sleep because one or other of us ended up in the gap throughout the night and there was no air con so on one of the hottest evenings of the year we were melting. It was my birthday the next day as well so we spent the whole day exhausted because we hardly slept - thank goodness for late checkout we managed to get a couple of hours sleep in the morning!

Review 116：My partner and I was expecting a good meal in the evening on the 5.9.14 but the waitress got our order completely wrong from which this upset my partner from which she completely lost her appetite. The manager said that he would do "any thing" to put things right, from which I said "anything at all?" to which he said that he promised anything to which I said that " I would keep a rain check on that promise". However this promise was not fulfilled and also we had to put up with loud music that as being played till 2 in the morning on the same night! My partner and myself was not happy with this stay in this hotel.

Review 120：As a young couple we just wanted a little nice weekend away. It was very peaceful even though there was a wedding in in the evening. We chose not to eat in the restaurant in the evening as the menu didn't suit us. The spa was lovely an relaxing and the staff was very nice. Served us drinks by the pool. We did want a treatment but they wer fully booked but wasn't a problem. The beds in the room were two singles put together which we weren't very happy about and we were told check out was 12 but they phones us in the room and told us it was 11. But overall was very happy with our stay and good value for money.

Review 121：We found the staff helpful and room came up to expectations. Very impressive hotel with spa but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit the spa but we will next time we come up to wales.

Review 122：The room they gave us was in a separate building the the actual hotel. The staff were slow and didn't seem to know what was going on especially in the restaurant where we were left waiting at the bar for 30 minutes. We finally made our way to one of the many free tables and a short while later managed to get our food. The receptionist was hardly at her desk and the staff in the spa were slow and also didn't seem to know what was going on. They just sent us to the changing rooms and didn't think to give us towels. All in all very poor. I have stayed in lots of hotels all around the world and Best Western have always fallen short of my expectations. Fail!!!
