Reviews for Tamasha Hotel

Review 1:Single room very small. No hairdryer Waiter who served breakfast was very pleasant and attentive but never took his outdoor coat off whilst serving No real choice at breakfast

Review 2:On top floor - quiet

Review 3:Rooms are on top of a (lovely) Restaurant within the same building so it's a bit noisy during the weekend (till 12am).

Review 4:very close to Bromley Town Centre (walking distance). Spacious and comfortable rooms.

Review 5:Breakfast basic and only served between 7 and 8 Shower poor

Review 6:Great location. Very close to Bromley town centre. Rooms large, beds comfy but no duvet only a folded blanket. Overall great value for money.

Review 7:Continental breakfast that was only available from 7-8, which was too early for us so didn't partake. Walking up and down two flights of stairs to the room as they were all located on the second floor.

Review 8:Comfortable room and very convenient for Bromley town centre, it took about 10 minutes to walk there. Very large car park at the back and room for three to four cars in the front, a gate is shut at midnight and opens again at ten so park on the front if you need to go anywhere earlier than this.

Review 9:Late arrival not being entertained. Owner attitude harsh and non professional. Breakfast disappointing with toast butter and jam. Cold room with no arrangement of proper heating

Review 10:Clenliness

Review 11:The shower really didnt have any pressure, it bascially was just a drip but besides that, it was great.

Review 12:The staff were so incredibly helpful. They were very friendly and very welcoming. The bathrooms were also very clean. The Indian food at the restaurant was also so delish!

Review 13:A little bit in the expensive side.

Review 14:Excellent staff. Wonderful restaurant within the hotel. Easy access by bus from near the Hotel to visit Charles Darwin's Down House.

Review 15:in general very poor breakfast, and the last morning no breakfast at all, reception closed, dining hall closed, no one to check me out ( I waited from 7 to 8 am) then I had to go out from the back door leaving the keys behind.

Review 16:location and cleanliness

Review 17:It was unfortunate that my room was located next door to night owls who were so noisy I didn't sleep. Dinner was OK, but expensive and then you get charged a service charge. Pint of beer = £5.75 Breakfast was advised 7:00 'til 8:00, but the dining room was closed at 7:55. In fairness, the staff did open up but let a guy with 2 hours sleep know that they were not happy

Review 18:Friendly and accommodating staff

Review 19:The room left a lot to be desired, it was quite basic and small. The bathroom facilities were also quite poor (wash basin and shower). The bed was adequate but my overall impression was that very little care had been applied to anything other than the external area's.

Review 20:The entrance and the restaurant area were first class and decorated excellently. It was quite a stunning and impressive arrival area.

Review 21:Entrance to hotel part and stairs could do with a re-vamp. Red carpet was full of bits and stained in parts. Breakast was a bit limited-cornflakes only cereal, had to ask for juice and only organge offered. Toast was white only and at least one piece was mouldy(there was some fruit and boiled eggs). Not what I would call a Continental Breakfast.

Review 22:The room was spacious, spotless and sheets and towels were far better than in many budget hotels I have used. Parking was off road and plenty of room.

Review 23:Although we had booked for two nights we were only allocated a room for one night. Luckily they had another room (16) for two nights. The bathroom door did not close properly and had no lock on it. The bed mattress springs screeched with every movement. The breakfast described as "continental" was toast, cereal, boiled egg, Orange juice and coffee. I had to send back the toast for replacement when I saw a blue mould on it.

Review 24:We were only there for two nights

Review 25:Looked more like a hostle very tired and dated beds and furniture very cheep( m f I like ) definitely not wortth£90 also windows rotting and should be double glazed as its on a main road

Review 26:Only convenient for Bromley centre

Review 27:I didn't like the fact that that there was nobody around when I checked out, I felt very vulnerable and also I didn't have a taxi number to call I'm.the morning when I was leaving

Review 28:The toilet and bathroom were clean.

Review 29:The bed was very cheap and uncomfortable. Service for the hotel was slow. The bar was expensive.

Review 30:The restaurant is very nice and your meal will be excellent. Service in the restaurant was good.

Review 31:Door hooks would be useful. No need to change towels daily.

Review 32:Although very expensive, the dishes proved to be excellent in the restaurant. We felt no pressure to dime in.

Review 33:Breakfast far too early to only have for an hour..toilet brush was disgusting..bed was squeaky, to the point when ever we moved it woke us up! Hotel was lovely though.

Review 34:Decor, and location..restaurant was beautiful

Review 35:The breakfast is very basic and poor (corn flakes, fruits, toasts with basic jam). I was waiting something much better compare with the quality of the restaurant. The prices of the drink are very expensive : a pint of cobra 8 £ !

Review 36:Breakfast 7-8am on a Sunday! The (Indian) restaurant stops serving at 11pm on the Saturday eve. Bed not that comfortable.

Review 37:Location, wifi, secure parking, plenty of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits (handy when you miss the ridiculously early Sunday breakfast!)

Review 38:The breakfast was very limited, no essentials on the table, e.g.paper napkins, pepper and salt for boiled eggs etc. One had to ask for essentials. 7-8am breakfast too early, too limited!

Review 39:The staff were very friendly, the restaurant food was very good, everywhere was very clean, the room was very comfortable.

Review 40:Noise from traffic continuos, even through the night Only one choice of breakfast cereal, it tasted like a supermarket value range product and the same again for the toast.

Review 41:Convenient to Bromley high street

Review 42:I like to eat healthy so more healthy options at breakfast, eg instead of a jug of semi skimmed milk on the breakfast table it would have been nice to have the choice of skimmed milk and brown bread instead of white for toast.

Review 43:Perfect for what I was after as a solo traveller, close to Bromley south station, car parking facilities, friendly staff and competitive room rate!

Review 44:The member of staff who greeted me was most unfriendly, did not offer to help with my luggage, nor did he show me to my room. Some staff training would be necessary. The breakfast was completely inadequate, with no choice of bread, white or brown; also cereal - just cornflakes. altogether this scores zero.

Review 45:I like the fact that after I complained about noise from extractor fan I was moved to a different room. The member of staff who served breakfast was excellent, and helped to make up for the otherwise poor experience of my stay.

Review 46:I was taken aback by the multitude of sexualy explicit images from various ancient Indian cultural sources in the downstairs men's toilet. They don't offend me but I wondered what a father who let her young son use the loo would make of them. Also, what the ladies would be like!

Review 47:Good welcome by staff, clean, comfortable single room, within walking distance to/from Bromley North rail station and Bromley town centre. The Indian restaurant looked appealing but I did not have the opportunity to eat in it.

Review 48:The "continental breakfast " consisted of corn flakes and white toast with apples and bananas. Not my idea of continental.

Review 49:Friendly staff and a fascinating restaurant. The food at dinner was first class.

Review 50:Very basic rooms. No air conditioning. No fridge.

Review 51:The hotel itself was very average for the low price. Eating at the authentic Indian Raj style restaurant was delightful. It has to be some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted.

Review 52:This is a restaurant with a few rooms as b&b. However since they above two floors of restaurant they were very hot and noisy from the exhaust fans. The restaurant has air conditioning but the rooms do not. The bed was very squeakey. WiFi has a weak password and is not secure.

Review 53:The restaurant is excellent for evening meals, even if a bit pricey. Rooms semi clean, with clean linen but rather dusty.

Review 54:Wash hand basin taps need new washers. Instruction on how to use shower would be helpful. Breakfast time should be longer, we did not want to get up that early.

Review 55:Good nights sleep.

Review 56:Breakfast only available between 7 -8am ! Noisiest bed I have ever sat on, bed frame is worn out, couldn't even move in bed without waking my partner up. Needs new frame urgently.

Review 57:Bed sounded like it was going to fall apart. Even breathing made it squeak. Breakfast from 7am to 8am only .. on a Sunday Morning - hardly customer friendly

Review 58:Would have been very convenient if you were having an Indian meal downstairs.

Review 59:This is not a hotel it is a curry house with some rooms above let out bycowboys. Car was locked in car park and no staff to open car park gatesso I could not get to work. 2 days out of 4 no breakfast as no staffturned up. Left in building on my own no security. The 2 days I gotbreakfast I got 2 toast and a boiled egg. Shower did not flow much andonly very cold water came out. Noisy staff putting bottles out beforethey leave you on your own over night with just a small yale lock on thedoor. No security. I would feel safer sleeping in my car.

Review 60:Absolutely nothing except getting my car off the padlocked car parkafter waiting 1/2 hour for staff to turn up to open the gate makingme late for work.

Review 61:Sadly the room a little disappointing. When you sat on the bed it squeaked very noisily, so turning in bed disturbed you.the room it self was adequate but needed finishing off in the bathroom ie tiling round sink & floors.

Review 62:The Indian restaurant was fantastic. Great service, the best Indian food ive ever eaten! I would definitely eat there again.

Review 63:Room overlooked main road and window did not shut properly, so traffic noise at night was an issue. Decor of the room itself could do with being refreshed.

Review 64:We needed a room with 3 standard single beds, and this hotel provided that perfectly. We particularly liked the interesting decor of the dining room.

Review 65:The breakfast was not great and arrived an hour early the first morning and 40 minutes early the 2nd morning - seemed to ignore the fact I had ordered it for 8.30 a.m.

Review 66:The restaurant food and the staff courteous

Review 67:poor initial reception surly and demanding ID breakfast was hard boiled egg cold toasting no choice of cereal and not on time Most importantly was not informed room was up four flights of stairs and I have problem with stairsSatisfactory for simple overnight o

Review 68:Pleasant quiet room

Review 69:My first stay here and I wasn't sure what to expect from a hotel attached to an Indian restaurant - but it was good. I arrived late and the people who'd just finished their stint in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable with a nice continental breakfast served in the room.

Review 70:Bedroom small and shower uncomforatable. Bed not really good. Diner far too expensive in downstairs restaurant. Breakfast only served on tray.

Review 71:Staff (too) friendly. Large parking area.

Review 72:we asked for breakfast at 8 and was woken up at 7-15 with a tray, which was full but there was not any where to put it

Review 73:There was a very good restaurant very professional staff

Review 74:no hot water and my breakfast tray wasn't picked up the same day i got it

Review 75:the hotel was what you would expect, small rooms, but it was fine for what i needed it for

Review 76:Breakfast was requested for 8.00am but arrived at 7.40am. Luckily we had just got back from a short walk.

Review 77:Hotel is well located with a pleasant atmosphere. Room fairly small but nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast served in room.

Review 78:The stairs were a bit of a climb but worth it.

Review 79:The atmosphere was great like walking into a movie set about the time of the Raj. Staff were courteous and attentive but not in your face. We also tried the restaurant which was delicious. Breakfast in bed was served in the morning which was a lovely surprise. Would highly recommend this place.

Review 80:The attitude of the staff upon arrival. Had to be moved to a different room twice in one evening. First room the remote TV control & a lamp didn't work. 2nd room was very small & too hot. Third room bed & bathroom door sweaked very loudly. Waiter spilt glass of champagne on my partners lap. Barely apologised & offered nothing for the accident.

Review 81:single rooms are a bit small, no phones, shower was very weak, I suppose fair value for money in Bromley.

Review 82:good location, restaurant below although a bit pricy, breakfast served in the room, minimum acceptable facilities, parking.

Review 83:Shower was old-fashioned and difficult to control temperature. Would have appreciated a knock on the door to say breakfast outside.

Review 84:Convenient for my requirements. Staff courteous and helpful. Breakfast in room.

Review 85:A little pricey for an Indian probably as I am used to the Balti type restaurants.

Review 86:On-site car-park and a very good Indian restaurant with plenty of attentive staff.

Review 87:Always an ominous sight when you enter the room and find the curtains closed. I opened them to find myself looking at a wall!

Review 88:The young waiter who delivered breakfast. Very friendly.

Review 89:With breakfast included I didn't expect the only option to be a tray placed outside my bedroom between 7.30-8.30, especially when the main business of the premises is a restaurant anyway. Also we had a good evening meal in the restaurant but the price of beers was extortionate and a 12.5% surcharge was added. We would have tipped 10% anyway but that should be our choice.

Review 90:Simplistic breakfast, lack of staff interest, many stairs to tackle with heavy luggage and close proximity to other guests which becomes a problem if they are active at all hours.

Review 91:As a single private person with a lot of work to do, the desk and room size as well as the wifi worked well to assist me in getting things done. The bed was comfortable, the heating was good and the bathroom was clean. The location was an easy walk to central Bromley.

Review 92:The restaurant is seriously overpriced!

Review 93:The room was functional and fine for one night. The lighting was good, which is essential for people who need to work in the evening

Review 94:Hotel lobby not welcoming , like going into a restaurant. breakfast 10 min late. as we were in a hurry to leave didn't enjoy the nice breakfast. Better to give an earlier time. Down stair wash room has distasteful images on the wall and not well kept. doesn't give a good reputation. Not sure why such a contrast as rooms are excellent. Will stay again and recommend.

Review 95:Clean and tastefully decorated room, family room with 3 single comfortable beds. Kettle with tea coffee facility. Clean bathroom with hot water almost instant.. Didn't have to wait for the water to get hot. Even tooth brush and paste. Good, substantial breakfast. Only stayed over night.

Review 96:Eventually the shower water got hot so just persevere. Breakfast was fine but Wd have been better in the dining room.

Review 97:It was all fine. The surfaces were shiny. The people were polite. It was quiet upstairs. The facilities were good.

Review 98:Have to climb two floors to the rooms, but this is not a big deal.

Review 99:For £55 a night for a single room, with a continental breakfast delivered to my room each morning, this was excellent value-for-money. Tamasha only has seven rooms, and an old world feel about it,

Review 100:The staff was rude. I asked the 2 guys in the reception to help me with my bags to the room in second floor at check in. He said ( carry it yourself, it will strengthen your muscles. I was sooo tired and is saying that!!!! They did not help me due my skin colour. I am asking booking.com to remove it from the list.

Review 101:No thing

Review 102:If you go to the length of providing tooth brushes, then provide toothpaste. When you serve 2 slices of toast, also provide 2 sashes of butter

Review 103:Attention to detail

Review 104:The place is a bit weird. Breakfast is served on a tray to your room (no choices other than tea or coffee), and Reception is unmanned and in darkness when leaving. Restaurant OK, but the weird theme continues.

Review 105:Easy to find and ample parking

Review 106:No hot water in the shower. No mattress or pillow protectors. No useful tv chanels. Breakfast was awfull. No choice. Cornflakes, a HARD boiled egg (no egg cup anyway) & share a knife &napkin. 2 slices toast each (hot though) with 1 pack of butter each & a jam packet each - no choice. Less than welcoming reception.

Review 107:Room and shower room lovely decor and very clean

Review 108:The room was small, the traffic outside was noisy. Breakfast was delivered to the room, but was 10 mnutes late the first morning, and I had to leave 15 minutes after it was due on the second morning and it still hadn't arrived by then, even though I specifically asked for it to be delivered on time the previous evening after the late arrival on the first day.

Review 109:Staff were helpful if somewhat offhand, that's possibly the best thing to say.

Review 110:The restaurant is expensive but very, very good. The hotel is okay, nothing special, but clean and tidy. Don't go just for the hotel, but do make sure you check the prices on the menue first

Review 111:Why are there not more Indian restaurant with rooms - what a fantastic concept. Absolutely loved this place and we didn't even eat. We had a party to go to and found this place as somewhere to stay, we would loved to have eaten there. Will definitely be coming back for the full experience!!!!!

Review 112:Having breakfast served in my room Noise from passing cars during the night, as I had my window open.

Review 113:The room: very clean with good quality fixtures and fittings and well-decorated

Review 114:The room was dingy and smelt of mothballs. There was no telephone. The shower was dated. The continental breakfast was not great. Cornflakes, hard boiled egg and cardboard toast.

Review 115:The booking in procedure was efficient. The room was clean.

Review 116:No soap for first 2 nights - had to go to Boots and buy my own. Breakfast could have had some minor variations.

Review 117:Tiny, but comfortable room. Good continental breakfast delivered on time to the room.

Review 118:one or two of the staff could have been a little more friendly! not unpleasant but a nice smile always goes down well

Review 119:after reading some of the poor reviews the hotel had recieved we were very concerned to say the least infact my wife insisted i found another hotel! by this time all hotels near the town were fully booked, well all i can say is that we were pleasantly relieved lovely clean room tastfully decorated and well presented, car park gates locked at night yes its above a very popular indian resturant but not to noisy infact this added a little more spice to our stay next time we will have dinner there the wonderful aroma was very tempting all in all good value and a comfortable nights stay

Review 120:Our only regret was that we didnt have chance to stay for a meal in the restaurant which was beautifully furnished.A good excuse to return!

Review 121:Proxomity to Bromley to centre meant that we could walk into town. The fact that our breakfast was brought up to our room on a tray was really nice. The decor of the hotel was gorgeous. So lovely to see old fashioned stair rods.

Review 122:TV signal was terrible - only 2 channels available. I did not raise this with the staff as it wasn't much of an issue with me so maybe this could have been sorted, but not sure how

Review 123:Loved the leisurely breakfast which was hot and fresh and served in the room - I hate having to get up early from a night in a hotel and get dressed for breakfast, especially alone.

Review 124:staff on arrival were not very welcoming and throughout our stay were not very friendly.

Review 125:restaurant was very nice, room was clean and large, good location.

Review 126:nothing to not like really

Review 127:Staff were excellent, although we came up for a party, we were reliably informed the food at the Hotel was 1st class. we liked the location and the staff.

Review 128:The room is on the first floor and got pretty hot during the day. There is no AC, only once small window. The street outside can be a bit noisy as the hotel also runs a restaurant.

Review 129:Nice to see a hotel with a character - the pictures in the hallway are amazing, the pictures in both bathrooms are even better! The room was small, but packed with everything you might need, including a lamp with a huge, silky shade.

Review 130:Cleanliness could have had a better standard to match the quality of everything else.

Review 131:Bright airy single room. The aroma from the restaurant below was an added touch to my stay. The staff, although very busy, were helpful and kind.

Review 132:It was shocking it's not a hotel it's a restaurant no fire exit rooms to warm and noises .. No signal on tele .. No one there to check u out next day , beds are rock hard and breakfast was horrible .. It should b classed as B and B not hotel

Review 133:The rooms were adequate, the location was great for our purpose. The staff were friendly and would use again.

Review 134:Very helpful staff - felt safe

Review 135:There were a couple things that needed to be fixed in the room. But the staff were great and bed was clean and comfy.

Review 136:No breakfast he said between 7am to 8am

Review 137:Single room tiny bathroom nice

Review 138:Bed was old and not confortable. Breakfast is only served from 7 to 8 am: a little bit hard for a week-end.
