Reviews for Llwyn Hall

Review 1:Bathroom carpet had a big damp patch. Bathroom radiator not working properly. A lot of care has gone into the decor but it could do with a facelift.

Review 2:Lovely peaceful setting.

Review 3:The bed in room 2 was absolutely disgraceful - worst bed we have slept in in our 14 weeks traveling Europe and England. About time the owners replaced it.

Review 4:pleasant surroundings - staff very helpful

Review 5:My Wales experience has hampered my judgement. Overall, location was good but an accident on a roundabout caused us to shorten our trip to Wales

Review 6:Adam was great

Review 7:Ran out of hot water after running a bath.Should have told staff before we left but forgot to.

Review 8:Staff amazing so helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to accommodate us as we arrived late and the restaurant was closed. The young lady who booked us in managed to get us some sandwiches. Then found out the manager, Adam, had tried to call us about food but missed the call.Had a lovely chat with him and the owner the next morning.

Review 9:N/a

Review 10:Wow great staff service extra mile people I mentioned I would like some marmite for breakfast . The chef went to the shops and got some . Comfortable bed grand without taking itself too seriously

Review 11:Could be a little more organised at breakfast, only white toast available, would have been nicer if sausages were grilled and not fried and maybe the option of veggie sausages would have been nice.

Review 12:Good location to access points of interest. Free parking and wifi. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

Review 13:the lovely secluded but yet convenient location 'a little hidden gem ' excellent personal service, and generous room size, lovely breakfast, very relaxed stay.

Review 14:Having chosen a "Superior" room we were surprised that we only had a choice of bath or shower en-suite rather that both. The shower head holder needs to be replaced by one that allows a more conventional position for use. Sound-proofing between rooms should be improved.

Review 15:Friendly, helpful management and staff. Good quality and quantity breakfast. Reasonable price for a nice stay. A quiet secluded location and not far from the Wetlands and bird sanctuary.

Review 16:Wifi was slow and poor signal - but at least it was free. Bathroom was clean but in need of maintenance.

Review 17:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good range at breakfast.

Review 18:We thought we were staying in the attic room to the country house, but instead we were forwarded to the attic room in a bog standard house in a residential street some 150 metres off site down the road nearer to the A road. If I had known this we wouldn't have booked as we liked the look of the country house and garden, which we weren't actually staying at, just expected to eat breakfast their. It seems half of the rooms are off site and not in the nice garden area to the old country house. This should be made much clearer so you can properly decide if its the place for you. The TV didn't work.

Review 19:Nice owner, lovely country house, great breakfast, decent food.

Review 20:We stayed at a cottage room on June 2015. The cottage is located down the street among residential houses. We got a twin bedroom at the second floor and found a room from the late 70's. The rugs had stains on it, the wallpaper was peeling at certain places, the TV is a 14'' inch CRT, the shower had mold and had bad drainage. At breakfast we were served stale cereal. Looking at the box, we discovered it had been out of date for over a month!! The boy serving us didn't even apologize! You can find better value for your money.

Review 21:The room itself was big and had amenities of a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits. The woman who greeted us when we came was very friendly.

Review 22:In need of renovation, quality of workmanship is poor. Dady long leg around, and we had to clear our bed rooms a bit before go to bed. For dinner-chicken.

Review 23:Good parking, dogs accepted, warm rooms, 6min by car to nearest beach and good restaurant in Llanelli. Wet land area 20min. walk. Beautiful Rhossili bay 45min. by car. For dinner steak was really good.

Review 24:no hot water on day one although the manager Adam sorted it for the second day and gave a token discount for the inconvenience. Small jobs if undertaken could make this establishment exceptional

Review 25:location good, lovely property lovely room would we stay again very probably

Review 26:Everything!! Staff were very friendly and always helpful. The room was superb. The evening meal was extremely good. I can't really fault this hotel.

Review 27:Nothing.

Review 28:Very quiet location but very close to Llanelli. Owner was a very likeable gent who attended to everything. room was very good and the food was excellent. Will stay again next time I am working in the area.

Review 29:We were asked to stay in a very unattractive annex building about a 400 yards away. They were burning trash across the street and the smoke was terrible. There was nothing you could walk to. We left after 20 minutes

Review 30:Nothing

Review 31:Not much!

Review 32:Dinners and breakfasts were excellent. Our garden room was clean, comfortable and quiet with a very good view of the garden and Gower peninsular beyond. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a nice little hotel

Review 33:Upon our arrival the owner, Steve, told us to treat the place as if it were our own home. He wanted us to feel relaxed and even to help ourselves to drinks if he wasn't around and just to let him know what we'd had. We were given a free upgrade as it was quiet and the room was lovely and comfortable. It's a very quiet place, just five minutes from the Wetlands centre and coastal path. The food was delicious, cooked by the owner himself. Could not fault the place, really and looking forward to going back for Sunday lunch soon since we live quite near to Llwyn Hall.

Review 34:We liked everything about the hotel, it was welcoming, friendly, and peaceful. The food was delicious. We were made to feel at home. We loved it.

Review 35:The staff were fantastic, so helpful and thoughtful. I haven't been to a place in the UK that operated an honour system at the bar for decades. Made for a completely relaxing stay

Review 36:No hot water When open, there is clear view through the bathroom window to the toilet and bath. We had to have it open most of the time as the windows in the bedroom could not be opened. Lack of local knowledge - could not provide information about services (e.g. restaurants) in the local area Management approach - inappropriate greeting and response to problems and maintenance items e.g. we were still reversing the car when approached by the manager, who asked "who are you", through the car window. We reported some minor maintenance issues e.g. light bulbs that needed replacing and the response was "it's the same all over the hotel". Being asked to leave our card details with the manager as the machine had stopped working.

Review 37:Very comfortable bed Good breakfast Good base for exploring the Gower peninsula if you can't get accommodation in the immediate area.

Review 38:Booking.com doesn't make it clear enough this is a b&b, not a hotel, and if you go expecting a country house hotel, like we did, you'll be disappointed, as we were. Nothing at all within walking distance, just more houses, and it wasn't the cleanest - we live in the country and know slug trails, insects and cobwebs happen but can & should be kept on top of. Much smaller than it appears on pics & other than the welcome & service we were given by the one young guy tackling every role I'd be feeling pretty stung at over £100 a night. They must have justified all the other great reviews but not for us unfortunately.

Review 39:The guy who seemed to be the only person working there was lovely & welcoming & did his best whilst seemingly taking on every role in the place!

Review 40:Beautiful setting with outside space to enjoy an after dinner drink. Great to be able to have an evening meal if required which was of a high quality for food and service. Great choice for breakfast. Tasteful decor and comfortable beds

Review 41:Many of the light bulbs were not working which spoilt the ship a little.

Review 42:The person in charge did everything excellently including cooking dinner and breakfast

Review 110:Very welcoming, Adam carried our suitcase to our family annexe when we arrived. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it too! more than helpful and friendly, defiantly recommend and would come again.

Review 111:My friends and I stayed at Llwyn Hall for 3 nights. Everything exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic for exploring South West Wales. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and good value. We had a twin room in the main house and another in the cottage down the road. Adam cooked us dinner 2 of the nights and the food was really tasty. A fantastic stay all round! I missed having my cooked breakfast to order this morning. Thanks for a great holiday!
