Review 8:Everything, couldn't complain about anything, we will be going back. This is the best guest house we have stayed in at Skegness. We have stopped in Savoy, Royal, County but this is the one we will be going back to.
Review 9:Perfect Location, with nicely decorated immaculate room. The Breakfast was superb and The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities for children were great, with a wide variety of toys within the living room. Would highly recommend this accommodation to friends with young children.
Review 10:The bed was comfy, the breakfast was delightful, the room was nicely decorated and spacious, the staff were very friendly and helpful with knowledge of the best places to go with children and the hotel was clean.
Review 11:Spacious single room, good range of complimentary refreshments and toiletries. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. The atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and friendly and family run. The location, on the sea front, was quiet but only a short distance from the main attractions, ideal for me.
Review 12:No parking on site, but we found some on street parking nearby.
Review 13:Short walk to the clock tower, Welcoming Hosts and a lovely breakfast. Good, value for money seafront hotel.
Review 14:The couple that came home drunk upstairs with some noisy coital activity, followed by loud snoring - but there's ain't too much can be done about that other than to get drunk and snore louder than them.
Review 15:Breakfast was tasty.
Review 16:Lovely seaside theme of family room. Great location - very close to attractions but far enough away that its quiet during the night. Extremely friendly owners.
Review 17:The very tiny television
Review 18:I went with my elderly mother. I didn't think of requesting a lower floor. She didn't really want to climb the stairs. The owner had been decorating a ground floor room and suggested if we could leave it a couple of hours he would have it ready for us,which he did. Mum was well pleased, she loved the place.
Review 19:Bed extremely comfy, but a little squeaky! :/
Review 20:The location of the hotel was great and the staff were very friendly. Home cooked breakfast in the morning was perfect. :)
Review 21:Greeting on arrival made you feel at ease straight away. Room lovely and clean with all facilities you require. Breakfast lovely and plenty of it to set you up for the day. Really nice place to stay and in a good position for all amenities
Review 22:Nothing in particular
Review 23:Location good easy to find for first time in Skegness ,Owners friendly and accomodating,Breakfast good and cooked to order, Easy access to town and facilities ,beach etc.
Review 24:Room was slightly on the small side with the travel cot in the room, but would be plenty big enough for a couple with a son/daughter. Honestly though, this is really nit picking and I can't think of anything else negative to say!
Review 25:We had an excellent time at Clarence House. We are a young family with a 3yr old and a 7 week old baby, and Allan & Lesley were very accommodating! They provided a travel cot and minifridge in our room, and a baby bouncer for breakfast. There were toys in the dining room for our daughter to play with to keep her entertained, and I also heard they have a Wii to play on! They had literally thought of everything! I will definitely be booking again for a longer stay next year!
Review 26:Nothing to dislike.
Review 27:Excellent hospitality. The owners having taken over the B & B a year ago are redecorating through out.Our room had not as yet been done but was non the less very pleasant and clean. Breakfast was also excellent.Full marks!
Review 28:Brilliant stay in this hotel in August. Kids thought it was amazing sleeping in bunk beds in the loft. Breakfast was well organised and tasted perfect. Will be going back.
Review 29:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and was in great location near everything. Staff were happy for us to come and go as we pleased. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice for everyone. Would definately stay there again!!!
Review 30:There wasn't anything not to like but there is no lift so bear this in mind if you have trouble with stairs.
Review 31:The hosts are lovely and can't do enough for you so felt really welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the extras required (tea, coffee, towels, toiletries). The beds were really comfy and the room was serviced daily. Breakfast was cooked fresh with quality ingredients, with cereals, jucie and yoghurts available and my fussy boys had their needs catered for with a smile. The location is great, on the quieter side of the front but only 5 minutes from the main drag where all the attractions are. Allan and Lesley have provided a comfy lounge for wet days with TV, games and books so we didn't have to worry about the weather. Would defniitely go back to The Clarence if visiting Skegness again.
Review 32:There are only two car parking spaces, first come first served each day. However there is free parking on the street parallel to the promenade.
Review 33:I had a very pleasant, comfortable single room. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfasts were good.
Review 34:Lesley and Allan genuinely want you to enjoy your stay, full marks for your hospitality, cleanliness, and of coarse the gorgeous breakfast that really sets you up for the day
Review 35:The accomodation was extremely good, and beyond good value. The owners were exceptional and run an organised hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and went beyond it when I had car problems, even to the point of finding alternative accomodation as I thought I may have to stay longer and they couldn't accommodate me.... No surprise there, it was seriously good quality. I have no problems in recommending the Clarence House, doubting anyone could find fault. Many many thanks, Michael, LONDON
Review 36:Going home!!! None of us wanted to leave.
Review 37:We liked everything about this hotel. Lovely spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, good value for money, fabulous breakfasts that set you up for the whole day, but the best thing about this hotel is Allan and Lesley. Wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble, excellent local knowledge and went out of their way to ensure a member of our party who has to have a special diet was catered for.
Review 38:The sun on our bedroom was through the window most of the afternoon which made the room very uncomfortable, but Lesley (without) being asked tried A couple of ideas which helped a lot.
Review 39:The helpfulness of Allan & Lesley also the friendly and politeness of other guests. The bed linen smelt very fresh and clean as did the bedroom.
Review 40:Everything. We think they have got it right. Room and en suite nice size and plenty of storage for clothes and toiletries etc. which is sadly lacking in many hotels. Breakfast excellent. Would stay there again.
