Reviews for The Bell Inn

Review 1:Had a wonderful night stay at The Bell Inn. The room is very spacious and has been recently renovated to a good standard. Everything was comfortable! Breakfast included was good with a large selection to choose from. Couldn't fault anything and would definitely return upon my next visit to the Cotswolds.

Review 2:Comftable bed in hayloft but very "creaky". Shower temp uncontrollable. Excellent breakfast 1st morning, poor 2nd morning (poss diff chief??)

Review 3:Lovely New Years stay, excellent hosts (ruby very helpful). Central to town lots around. Food an entertainment good value.

Review 4:The breakfast was nice buy not huge but that's a very minor gripe.

Review 5:The room was lovely; very spacious and clean. The shower is great as well, something that let's down so many places I've stayed. The staff were also really friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome

Review 6:The only thing i would say is the room needs a big mirror above the table for us ladies to do our hair but apart from that we couldn't fault it.

Review 7:It was a lovely room, very clean and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and staff very friendly.

Review 8:The room was a little cool when we arrived but soon warmed up when we turned the heating on.

Review 9:Very nice room and very friendly staff - the member of staff with the Christmas jumper was a lovely seasonal touch!

Review 10:One problem - The large green fire exit light that illuminated the room at night. Couldn't turn it off and it really affected our sleep which was a real shame as everything else was lovely. I raised it with staff the next morning who have had previous comments. Needs sorting as compromised our experience - escaping young children, sleep was paramount!

Review 11:Lovely location, room was large and tastefully decorated, very comfortable bed and good atmosphere in the main part of the pub. Great breakfast too.

Review 12:I stayed in room 2 which is a large barn style conversion with a high beamed ceiling, a great modern bathroom and fresh milk for coffee/tea. The staff were lovely and so helpful.

Review 13:Nothing.

Review 14:Very comfortable, immaculately clean room with tea making facilities. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. The value for money overall, staff and surroundings were excellent.

Review 15:Green 'emergency' light in room, like a green bedside lamp on all night. Hard to sleep.

Review 16:Wonderful location, very clean and comfortable room. Fantastic local breakfast.

Review 17:One minor gripe which the owners are probably unable to do anything about is the brightness of the room emergency light.

Review 18:quality of rooms well above the standard pub norm. Food excellent staff very weel trained, friendly and helpfuk

Review 19:Room insulation needs to improve. Sound of footsteps can be disturbing from the room above.

Review 20:5 minutes walks to the MIM train station. The Tuesday market in front of the property is an added attraction.

Review 21:The rooms are just a little bit noisey. For example you can hear so much of what is going on in the living quarters upstairs. When someone has a shower you can hear the water so loudly in the downstairs rooms. Not the end of the world because its not happening at three in the morning etc. wouldn't stop people from visiting. I think it would be hard to find anywhere nicer and / or better value in the area. This is just one small point - otherwise I would highly recommend .

Review 22:So clean. Great food - fabulous location and the place is full of character. I paid 60 pounds which I thought was unbelievable for the standard of accommodation.

Review 23:Arrived at 1.00pm after long drive and tired. and advised room not ready This we accepted and had lunch Advised two hours later that we could not take possession of room till 4.00pm as this was Bookings.com rules We have never been refused early possession in other establishments when room ready regardless of check in times so we left. Host was totally indifferent No mention of apology or any sympathy Quite frankly most unhelpful hoteliers we have ever encountered. PS Parking is a nightmare!

Review 24:Nothing A most unpleasant experience!

Review 25:Only qualm I have is that the green security light is quite bright in the dark. Other than that, everything is great!

Review 26:Staff was very friendly - let us keep our luggage with the reception while we wait for our train. The room has everything we need and is very need. Breakfast is delicious'

Review 27:The room was beautiful. So cozy and extremely comfortable. The bed was like a marshmallow! The atmosphere is very good and the breakfast is to die for.

Review 28:you could hear the voices of the people in the room below quiet clearly

Review 29:all the staff were very polite, friendly and nothing seem to much trouble and the Hayloft room was comfortable.

Review 30:Some noise apparent from downstairs rooms but not enough to spoil a good two day break

Review 31:Hayloft room very comfortable and spacious .Not an extensive menu but food cooked to an above average standard.Friendly professional staff{2 very good chefs]

Review 32:Bright green security light in bedroom all night. Loud humming from below us all evening (extractor fan from kitchen?).

Review 33:Beautiful spacious room, comfortable bed and easy chairs. Great shower and toiletries. Good breakfast.

Review 34:Great room, well located where we wanted to be. Well presented food great breakfast, friendly and efficient staff. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped .We will be back

Review 35:Excellent stay at Bell Inn. Accommodation small but cosy and adequate, clean and warm. Good power shower, very comfortable bed. Breakfast excellent and we had one evening meal which was excellent. Will return to this location, it's a fantastic place to tour Cotswolds and so close to Stratford, the Bell Inn cannot be faulted and staff were really friendly and welcoming. Best place for touring Cotswolds and very reasonably priced. Not one criticism, can't go wrong with location and accommodation. Thanks booking .com and Bel Inn.

Review 36:Central location in small market town but surprisingly peaceful. Friendly and efficient staff. Smallish room but comfortable and very well equipped. Very good breakfast.

Review 37:Breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal starter. However, the evening meal main course just needed that little extra refinement to bring it up to the same standard.

Review 38:It is obvious that the new owners have set out to achieve excellence in all aspects. The standard of accommodation, level of service and attention to detail are a glowing example of what has already been achieved in pursuit thereof. We would certainly want to return here again.

Review 39:We enjoyed our stay despite 3 out of 4 days being wet!! We will return and would not hesitate to use the Bell again, we had two evening meals which were very good. Would love the Chef's Mueseli recipe, it was gorgeous..

Review 40:Check in time very late, check oit quite early - worth keeping in mind especially for short stays

Review 41:Excellent location near train station, food in the morning lovely

Review 42:Nothing negative to say. (And for people that know me that's a 1st)

Review 43:Very friendly family run business. Perfect room very clean and quiet. We ate breakfast lunch and dinner here and every meal was amazing. The unexpected Friday night entertainment was an added enjoyable bonus.

Review 44:The actual pub area downstairs still needs some updating eventually.

Review 45:Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with an extremely comfortable bed. Fluffy white towels. Fresh milk for tea. Lovely food - especially breakfast. Nice to have the beer garden available.

Review 46:rooms could be a little noisy and parking may be an issue

Review 47:The staff were lovely and very helpful and room was comfortable and clean and a lovely fresh breakfast

Review 48:while there was lots of roadside parking it is worth thoroughly checking out times , I looked at the signs I could find , and asked in Inn and was told parking was no problem .I got a ticket for parking outside , which then lady in the inn deducted from my bill , which is excellent customer service and was much appreciated .Apparently you can not park outside on Tuesday regardless of what the roadside poles say.

Review 49:the bell inn is central to a large number of attractions , so sight seeing was easy.

Review 50:Parking ( I got a ticket) Breakfast not served til 8:30 which is quite late if you want to get out and about Green light from smoke detector is very bright and keeps you awake.

Review 51:Good location for the Cotswolds. Stratford on Avon and Warwick Clean and tidy and of very good standard Pub staff quite friendly Room warm and comfortable

Review 52:The menu was very limited but i think due to the couple just taking over and settling in. There was only 3-4 choices on the evening menu!! We didnt eat there on an evening due to this but hopefully they will develop this over the next few months. No beans or gluten free bread at breakfast but not a massive issue.

Review 53:The location is fab for exploring the Cotswolds. The pub is nice and well stocked. The landlord and landlady are very nice.Breakfast was nice.

Review 54:Nothing

Review 55:All the staff were very helpful.I was very grateful to have stayed with them after a railstrike. My bedroom---No 3 was small but beautifuly formed as they say!!!

Review 56:There was nothing really we didn't like.

Review 57:Super friendly staff and brilliant newly renovated rooms in a lovely village inn. Perfect for a weekend get-away.

Review 58:The host family and staff are personable and accommodating. The stone cottage room with modern facilities was beautifully decorated. Would love to go back!

Review 59:A slightly earlier check in time would have been better. Apart from that no negatives at all.

Review 60:Amazing value for money. Beautiful, luxurious, clean, tastefully presented accommodation & even got upgraded from standard double to deluxe king size. All coffee/tea, toiletries provided were top quality. Breakfast was the best I have ever experienced in any hotel .......freshly squeezed orange juice, beautiful soft berry fruit salad plus a very comprehensive full English breakfast! Generally no corners cut, no expense spared & top quality. Plus very friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely recommend The Bell at Moreton as a gem of a ace to stay.

Review 64:Very friendly staff, a stunning room, wi-fi that actually worked really well. A perfect place to visit the Cotswolds, very centrally located. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel, really lovely. The bell inn is a lovely hotel to stay in, would defiantly stay there again if I'm in that area.

Review 65:Squeaky floorboards and staircase from room above, but this is an old historic property so I guess it's a period feature! Green glow from safety light above the room door inside the room.

Review 66:Great welcome, lovely staff. The Bell Inn is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great and even got gluten free bread in after our request

Review 67:Very very minor criticism. Didn't do beans with breakfast which wouldn't have been a problem for most but i have a very picky daughter. Free view reception on tv in room wasn't great but we only watched tv while getting ready to go out so wasn't an issue for us.

Review 68:Very friendly staff. Stayed in the twin room which was lovely. Didn't have evening meal so can't comment on the food in general but breakfast was lovely.
