Reviews for Hôtel Le Régent

Review 1:Very uncomfortable pillows gave me head ache, there was no hot water but that was the only negative I would go there again but take my own pillow.

Review 2:Good location, clean and good value.

Review 3:It was extremely hot and air conditioning units were ineffective or not provided in some rooms. However this was a budget hotel and the weather was hotter than usual at night. Breakfast consisted of a croissant and bread. Would rather have paid a bit more for a better breakfast.

Review 4:Excellent location Owner very helpful

Review 5:You couldn't get breakfast before 8 am.

Review 6:The woman in the reception was amazing. She was helpful and answered to all our questions and gave opportunities if someting wasn't possible.

Bon accueil. Bonne réception wifi

Review 9:This place needs serious refreshing. Don't understand why places advertise wifi which doesn't work in rooms.

Review 10:Cheap. Reception (owner?) is helpful.

Review 11:TV and telephone didn´t work, bathroom in poor condition, toilet flushing without stopping. Rooms need to be painted and bedcovers renewed.

Review 12:The lady at the reception was very nice and did her best to make TV work reasonably. Location was as expected.

Review 13:The hotel was closed. I was alone. There was a lick in the bathroom. No one made the bed or gave me new towels. The lady had a private problem but she did not send anyone.

Review 14:In the end the lady showed up on 7:15 in the morning and as I was so upset - see below - she said that I would not pay anything which is fine.

Review 15:Internet connection was weak.

Review 16:Extremely welcoming and helpful proprietor. Easy walking distance to town. Lots happening as it was a 3 day festival. We were only using Narbonne as an overnight stop-over, but I would have been happy to stay there a few days.

Review 17:- there were hairs on the pillows - sanitary facillities were old and in a very bad state

Review 18:+ Very fast Internet connection + close to city center + friendly and helpfull staff

Review 19:- uncomfortable bed and pillows - small and uncomfortable room - room not properly cleaned - nobody ever came into the room to clean it and we stayed for 3 nights - we weren't given clean towels every day - not enough toilet paper - reception closed for the most hours of the day - very expensive for what it is - it's the worst 2-star hotel i've ever stayed at

Review 20:- good location (close to the city centre) - free wifi - friendly lady at the reception desk but she was almost never there

Review 21:- the worst 2-star hotel I've ever stayed at (I think that it doesn't have the facilities and service that a 2-star hotel should have) - it is too expensive (55 euros per night for two persons) for what it is - very small and uncomfortable room - old and cheap furniture - uncomfortable pillows - very small bathroom - dirty: the room wasn't cleaned very well before our arrival (e.g. I saw a pair of socks under the bed, probably forgotten by previous guests, and hair all over the room) - we stayed there for 3 nights and nobody ever came in to clean the room or take the rubbish out from the bathroom so we had to take the rubbish out on our own - we weren't given clean towels every day - not enough toilet paper - no air condition - most of the times, there's nobody at the reception so we weren't able to ask for what we needed

Review 22:- the lady at the reception desk (I think she is the owner) is friendly and polite - good location, 5 mins away from the Cathedral, restaurants, shops (on foot)

Review 23:Staff very welcoming and very close to the city centre

Review 24:Ideal location for exploring old town and wandering through fantastic market. Easy drive to beaches. Comfortable room and helpful host.

Review 25:The wifi never did work (we were told it was because we use Apple products)

Review 26:The location was great and we really enjoyed the rooftop terrace.

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:Very pleasant welcome and ambiance. Helpful receptionist. Quiet area.

Review 29:Don't forget to turn the radiator on if it's November! ;-)

Review 30:Owner is very helpful and speaks English but is happy to use French if you wish to.

Review 31:Our room, with Access to the roof-terrace, has not really beeing cleand up before our arrival. There was a lot of dust everywhere (and not the dust from 2 days). At the wardrobe you could still see the hand and fingerprints from the precedent guests. In the shower was quiet a lot of mould, even at the shower curtain.

Review 32:The lady at the front desk (i think it was the owner) was very polite. The hotel is situated near the center, a 10 minutes walk. Parking in front of the hotel, ob the street, is free.

Review 33:Old furniture in the room, a small bathroom. No lift, you have to bear bags up the narrow stairs, but it is typical for France. Breakfast includes coffee, croissant, baguette, jam and nutella. Not very diverse, but since most of the cafes are closed in the morning, it is better to use this service.

Review 34:Good location of the hotel, it's located close to the center, but in a quiet place. There is a large common terrace on the top floor and offers a nice view of the city. It's ok, if you want to stay in a cheap hotel for one night.

Review 35:The house air conditioning unit was just next to my window. I could not sleep with the window open because of the noise, and it was a bit warm.

Review 36:a very nice 'ensuite' room. Easy access to the centre of town and the railway station.

Review 37:Terrible don't stay here, shower didn't work, bath was only a stand up shower, sealant around shower was loose , shower head was dirty staff didn't care when I complained in am don't don't don't stay here

Review 38:We were shocked as it is called a hotel, it should be a motel or ahostel. Old, dated, smelly. We are going round Europe and sofar that isthe worst we stayed in. I booked with bookings.com all the places, wasvery surprised how bad it was.

Review 39:The hotel room was so basic the charge of 55 euros was far too much. Itwas so hot and noisy, the bathroom facilities left slot to be desired. The floor in the room was cracked. Will not be returning to this hotel.

Review 40:The greeting we received from the staff. The hotel room was clean

Review 41:We had a lovely stay! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was really comfortable and easy to find. It was perfectly located a ten minute walk from the train station, and really close to the beautiful old cathedral, main shopping plaza, restaurants, and the lovely canal. We were also able to easily walk outside the central town area along the canal to some beautiful natural areas. While we were only there a short time, we enjoyed it immensely, and Le Régent was a great spot to explore it from!

Review 42:Everything! Dirty hot payed extra for room with terrace was shown to a dirty rooftop with dead plants and filthy plastic deck chair. Bedding was so dirty we slept on towels and would seriously fear for safety if there had been a fire. Would not recommend this to anyone seriously considered sleeping outside in our car as a better option!

Review 43:Friendly staff

Review 44:The wood trim at eye level on one wall and behind the bed was thick with dust, as were the baseboards. Dirty finger prints around the light switches. They need new pillows, one flat one bumpy. Breakfast not worth the price, bread, coffee, orange juice.

Review 45:I liked the location. It had a small armoire to hang your clothes. Nice lady attendant.

Review 46:The location isn't fantastic, compared to others in the city whichare closer to either the station or the canal and shops.

Review 47:The welcome from the receptionist was courteous and efficient, albeitswift : but that is understandable , since she had been kept waitingbeyond the advertised last check-in time by my late-arriving train. My room was bright, clean and comfortable and certainly good value for money.

Review 48:There's nothing special about this hotel, good for a weekend tripbut very basic in its facilities

Review 49:Well located, walking distance from the city center

Review 50:Same as above

Review 51:Room had odor, moved to new room just a bit better but still not acceptable

Review 52:far from the center and railway station, need a car

Review 53:friendly staff, quiet

Review 54:Warm reception. Good location. Very quiet, interior and exterior.

Review 55:Very, very basic. Difficult parking. More of a hostel than a hotel.

Review 56:Location. OK on a budget and need somewhere to stay.

Review 57:Friendly reception and hotel well placed for Narbonne centre.

Review 58:Pas de climatisation dans les chambres.

Review 59:La gentillesse de l'accueil.

Review 60:Breakfast not value for money.

Review 61:Cheap and cheerful.

Review 62:Warm welcome, good breakfast, great location near city centre but quiet, looked after our bikes, personal touches in decor.

Review 63:Noisy with window open, no air con. Bathroom/shower very basic

Review 64:Handy to town. Opening window

Review 65:nothing

Review 66:the location and the style of the hotel

Review 67:Very cold in bathroom, failed to warm it up. No curtains, hard sunshine at morning.

Review 68:The room

Review 69:The price

Review 70:Good location, good price, comfortable beds

Review 71:The 6 euros for breakfast is not good value

Review 72:A trip to Le Franquie. This was the purpose of our visit
