Review 1：Menu nearly completely curry based. Raised circular bollard/pavement in centre of entrance nearly took my vehicle sump off with a massive bang as I drove over it - due to entrance very dark on arrival (7pm) and poorly lit.

Review 2：Evening meal surpassed expectation Total menu appeared to be curry based or spicy, but Chef happily went off-menu and came up with an excellent meal. Receptionist very polite and helpful

Review 7：The only food available in the evening was modern Indian, not at all what I wanted at 8.45pm when tired after a long day. I asked if something simple like a sandwich could be prepared, but was told No, maybe just plain toast.

Review 10：Lack of staff - one waitress and one receptionist. The fact you have to go outside to go into the main hotel. Our room was underwhelming. It was a birthday treat but instead of it being special we came back to an exploding toilet! It was sorted but very disappointed the manager did not speak to us. Lacked customer service! Had to comment as we booked because of previous comments!

Review 11：Initially given a rather dark room at the back looking onto a container. They quickly moved us on request. Dining room empty when went for breakfast and buffet not topped up so looked a bit short on choices. No staff there at first so had to wait.

Review 12：Lovely second room. Spacious and light with views over garden. Small bar area. Pleasant surroundings outside. Better price than nearby Premier Inn! Would book here again.

Review 15：No hot water in the morning. Room was directly above restaurant and a speaker was embedded in the room floor, so music was piped into the room until 2200hrs and started again at 0700hrs. Old sash windows means draughts.

Review 30：The food was out of this world my son in law said his steak will remain in his memory as the best he has ever had and that stands for all of us. The staff were happy and helpful a beautiful place to stay highly recommend it.

Review 33：Ordered cot online specifically as we were travelling with a baby under 1 ( that was not our baby). When we arrived late evening, reception told us it wasnt possible to have a cot for health and safety and that they had tried to advise me for the previous 48hours before arrival? The baby crawled over the floor a few times in her babygrow and her bare knees were black from the carpet in the room. Booking.com have offered £15 compensation to us as the cot was stated on their website and the hotel have admitted it was there by mistake. I feel this is an insult and have declined the offer as there were other hotels available that didnt offer cots that were much much cheaper. Picture of hotel shows a grand house from the front, be prepared that you'll probably have a room on the annexe round the back and not the main building.

Review 35：Bed was small - only a double for a couple and quite hard, we used a mattress topper that we brought with us. We wish all hotels provided them on request! Furniture and decor are quite dated and the over bath shower has a basic shower curtain. Room had a strange smell. Toilet did not flush.

Review 37：Room 18 The bathroom needed updating and had an unpleasant smell. The room was average but it was next to the entrance door which could be noisy. The worst point was no insulation with the room above. Every noise could be heard. From the occupant using his laptop, making a phone call to snoring all night. It was really awful.

Review 39：Unfortunately the visit was spoilt by rowdy guests. We were staying in one of the newer wings of the property and the walls were paper thin, made worse by drunk guests running up and down stairs and banging on their pals doors at 4am and generally being loud and annoying.
