Review 1：Nothing not to like. The owners are steadily updating this property - good for them.
Review 2：The personal service here is great - the owners were really keen to make a difference to my stay. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have had any where in a lovely, warm and smart breakfast room.

Review 4：Decor in the room was a little tired. The sash windows were struggling with condensation and needed a coat of paint. Apparently I had been given this room because another guest had extended their stay and the staff did say that my room was soon to be renovated.

What really put our stay over the top was the staff - the owner and his wife really took care of us, provided a great breakfast, and didn't rush our departure even though we were running late. Review 33：The Fernbank is away from the noise of town and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very reasonably priced. A big thank you to the owner and staff for making me feel at home. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll make a point of staying there again.

Room had just been newly renovated (finished the day before in fact) Manager was very helpful with all my questions and breakfast the next morning was excellent, although I only had the continental breakfast which is included in the tariff, because I could not have eaten the huge 'English Breakfast', which which costs extra but would be worth it if you like 'BIG' breakfasts. Very good small hotel and a really good price as well.
