Reviews for Le Mas du Rouquan

Review 1:Four friendly dogs and few cats , so you would probably need to be an animal lover, did not bother us .

Review 2:Stuidios had lovely comfortable beds and mini kitchenette, quiet and peaceful and walks in the hills nearby , lovely dinner cooked by Fillippe and served by Kate. Wi Fi available , no Tv'S in rooms - did not bother us , Relaxin sun loungers at pool .

Review 3:as it was really hot it was not easy to cool down the room, but we had no issue to sleep

Review 4:The hospitality of the owner was really a big Plus and the property is really nice.

Review 5:-room smell musty

Review 6:-very nice staff -surrounding countryside is beautiful -tiny pool is good for cooling off -small but clean rooms -hope you like animals - there is a whole collection of dogs and cats resident!

Review 7:Kate and Phillipe were perfect hosts. We ate with them in the evening, a very good meal and wine, and had a very pleasant time. They are good, easy company. The kitchenette in our room would have been very useful if we had been staying longer, so nice to be able to have a cup of tea in bed. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and big enough to be comfortable. Small, private terrace to sit and have a glass of wine before dinner. Overall we thoroughly recommend.

Review 8:Very comfortable hotel with very kind owners Philip and Kate. Place of hotel is such quiet so u can fully relax. Swimming pool is OK. Philip is a professional chef. His dishes like in Michelin restaurant! :)

Review 9:It was a bit pity that we could not sleep with an open window, having the studio only doors. In summmer that seems quite warm to us,may be insectscreens would be appropriate.

Review 10:We were welcomed bij the Lady of the House with her 3 funny, friendly and lively dogs in a warm way! The Landlord is obviously responsible for breakfast and that was perfect! Homemade marmalade and everything you expect from a tastefull breakfast. And what a beautyfull landscape.......

Review 11:Unfortunate that they were unable to provide an evening meal on that occasion. Would be useful to have satnav to find location, particularly after dark. We didn't!

Review 12:Location is excellent in a beautiful setting. We were there in very early November so less able to take advantage of views etc. Kitchen equipment is adequate. We had a fantastic breakfast.

Review 13:We experienced no areas of dislike.

Review 14:We were welcomed superbly by Phillipe and Kate and introduced to a beautiful landscape in which we felt immediately at ease. Our studio accommodation was very comfortable and met all our needs excellently. We enjoyed our walk in the reserve, the relaxing quiet of the night and the breakfast experience.

Review 15:We didn't try to use the kitchenette for much but it looked a bit on the small side - however the fridge was useful for us.

Review 16:Great food in a lovely setting, with good hosts. (We had dinner one night, as well as breakfasts, and it was all delicious.) Helpful with allowing us to arrive late on the first night. Enjoyed using the pool.

Review 17:Our stay ends too quickly !

Review 18:Kitchenette with two hobs, pots and pans, kettle, fridge. lovely towels and bed linen, loads of hot water. Beautiful views and excellent food.

Review 19:It was our last night in the provence!

Review 20:British french and fery friendly hosts Good transport connections Beautiful garden Nice breakfast board

Review 21:Breakfast was fantastic and the setting gorgeous

Review 22:Friendly and warm welcome, lovely cats and dogs, fantastic views and agrand breakfast. Due to working in the evening didn't have chance tosample the cooking - next time! Absolutely no problems with wildanimals, insects etc. the negative review on booking.com sounds like itmay well have been written by a city dweller petrified by anything thathad more than two legs.

Review 23:There where no things I didn't like

Review 24:I loved this place. I stayd here 5 days with my mother. The location isin the beautiful nature near Vidauban. It is surouned by pine-trees andvineyards. In the area are nice villages, cities or nature sides you canvisit. And when comming back after a long and warm day, you can findrefreshment in the swimmingpool. The studio we had looked nice. Everydayour room was very clean and tidy again. We had our own small terracewhere we could sit in the evening, reading our books with a cup of teawe could make ourselves since there was a kitchenette. Breakfast in demorning was a delight with the homemade jam. The owners are the mostlovely people. I would defenetly recommend this hotel.

Review 25:The hotel is the most difficult ever found hotel in my life. The gpsdidn't found the location. For those who would like to go there, should take the coordinates of the hotel which is written in thewebsite. We wanted to visit St Tropez, the hotel was too far away, andthe road in between was mountain road so we couldn't enjoy theevening in Tropez thinking the way back. The hotel don't acceptcredit card, so you have to have enough money with you.

Review 26:The owners were very kind. We wanted to drink the wine we bought, theyhave given us an ice basket, even without we asked. They were verycaring and kind people, which makes you feel comfortable. The locationis in the middle of a national park, so it's very peaceful andsilent. The pool is nice.

Review 27:The biggest negative, which made the stay substantially less enjoyable was that we stayed during the middle of the summer when it was very hot, and the room has no windows. The only way to cool the room down so it doesn't feel like a sauna was to sleep with the doors open, and the curtains in front of it to try to keep the bugs/animals out. However during our three nights we woke up to large crickets, two large spiders almost the side of my hand in our room, and multiple other big and small critters. The stay would have been so much more enjoyable if we could have had the doors open to keep cool with something as simple as a screen to keep the bugs out. Or just a $30 desk fan so we could sleep with the door closed and still be cool. I would have given no negatives at all, except we woke up terrified of what bugs would be crawling around the room, still sweating. Those are my suggestions for a simple, cheap solution to a small problem. If that had been solved we really really really would have put it at the top of the places we stayed.

Review 28:I loved the location in the countryside, so relaxing to be away from a city, and the owners (and their pets!) were very sweet. The room was beautiful, and the bathrooms amazing and new with lavender soap to match the fields of lavender around the hotel. The pool was great too.
