Reviews for Brava Tapas Bar and rooms
Review 1:Lovely staff, very attentive. Good location nr to Bicester village. The restaurant looked nice although we did not eat there as were visiting family. Room was basic but comfortable and warm with comfy beds and bedding
Review 2:Rooms very basic.Kettle did not reach plug unless u put it on floor. Shared bathroom very basic. Not nice to use after last person.
Review 3:Staff very friendky
Review 4:Everything about the place! It was over priced and lack everything! The staff were rude and arrogant!
Review 5:Nothing the place was hideous the room was poorly decorated dull and dingy! Tea/coffee facility was poor due to the shared bathroom being the only available running water for all the rooms! No staff to check you out in the morning!
Review 6:Reception by all staff was friendly and pleasant so much so we stayed and enjoyed a really good fish platter for two. Many thanks. Whilst this was a budget choice and facillities were cramped, it all added to a nice cosy weekend.
Review 7:Very basic room with shared shower/toilet. Needs to be redecorated. Tiny shower - occupant of adjacent room who showered before me left bathroom floor soaking wet.
Review 8:Excellent location, right in centre of village and within walking distance of Biscester Village Shopping Outlet. Good transport links to Oxford. Very comfortable beds.
Review 9:The room was cold when we arrived and the heating was on a timer. Whilst looking for a socket we discovered multiple cobwebs behind the chest of drawers
Review 10:Close to town centre
Review 11:The sockets were not well placed for ease of use I had to put the kettle on the floor as the flex did not reach from the cupboard. When using my hairdryer I could not see the mirror. I was unable to leave the window open slightly as it would only stay wide open or closed.
Review 12:1. The Internet didn't work throughout the whole stay. Because I arrived late back to the room (10pm! Is late!?) after checking in, there was no staff to assist with this issue. Very disappointed! 2. From the title of the place and the pictures on the website, there is a cute and cozy Tapas restaurant as part of the hotel on the ground floor. At10pm when I returned it was closed and absolutely dark. Very glad I didn't schedule to meet a friend there and to find the place closed...
Review 13:The room was ready early when I arrived for check in. That was just around noon.
Review 14:Easy going, No hassle. Spotted no breakfast included so brought my own cereals. Bought small plastic bottle of milk at night (local shops open till 11:00pm), kept it in a container of water with clean sock over bottle with the top of the sock in the water. Voila - fresh cool milk for my cereals each morning. ps. Room was lovely and warm.
Review 15:No ensuite so we had to dress everytime we walked from room to bathroom.
Review 16:The restaurant was lovely, the staff very friendly and although we didn't eat there, we wished we had as the food looked and smelled amazing. It's only a shame that the rooms were not ensuite, but the shared bathroom was still fine.
Review 17:The room felt a little damp.
Review 18:I stayed here because I continue to be appalled at the prices Oxford hotels and B&Bs charge, but Bicester is well connected by train and bus (although travel times variable dependent on traffic). The check in was very friendly and straightforward. Being above a popular restaurant means that there is noise until the restaurant closes.
Review 19:The room was cold and an extra blanket would have been good. There was no bedside lamp and the overhead lighting was rather dim, so not really bright enough to work from my laptop. Or see in the mirror. The shared bathroom wouldn't have been an issue if the shower cubicle hadn't been so tiny that I banged my elbows when washing my hair! Also the previous user had chosen to leave all their shampoo/shower gels in the shower and not had the courtesy to use the bathmat and instead left the floor wet and slippery.
Review 20:Location. Free WiFi. Clean sheets & towels.
Review 21:Nice central room in the middle of town. If you've no plans to eat elsewhere, make sure you try the restaurant down stairs. Best tapas I've had
Review 22:Bed was very uncomfortable
Review 23:Very friendly staff, clean hotel, nicely decorated. Nice Spanish tapas bar. Characterful old building. Not suitable for someone unsteady on feet.
Review 24:Room is in terrible condition, sticky door, wafer thin walls, tiny shared ablution room. Parking is in a narrow public road.
Review 25:Convenient location for us at the time needed. Close to shops and food and Shopping Village.
Review 26:I am a retired touring rock and roll sound engineer. This was theloudest hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything from the sound of thedoors closing to the kitchen staff talking in their break room (which isone of the hotel rooms)! Food and Staff were okay but not worth thetrouble if you wish to sleep. Move on find another place.
Review 27:Friendly staff. Good location.
Review 28:A bit noisy and food smells from downstairs restaurant pervaded
Review 29:nice clean room with a comfortable bed; good central location; and the restaurant is excellent!
Review 30:Booked two nights and left after one. Not clean, not comfortable, rickety, amenities did not appear as advertised. Unpleasant experience.
Review 31:Restaurant seemed nice but did not get chance to eat there. Management refunded the second night that we did not stay.
Review 32:Parking is a challenge. There was no indication on where to arrive (the restaurant was closed in the afternoon - sue the side door and knock, Twin room the bed has a foot rail which I don't like but good mattress. The bathroom was shared and could do with some work. No mirror in room. Door sticks.
Review 33:Staff were friendly and the restaurant downstairs was good.
