Reviews for Lyndene Holiday Apartments

Review 1:We had an excellent experience. There was nothing bad to comment on.

Review 2:Enjoyed the trip. The staff were very helpful and we were made to feel welcome. The apartment was very comfortable and it is close to the beach and local amenities.

Review 3:The kitchen was aa bit dated and there were a few too many doors to negotiate in the apartment as it had obviously changed over the years.

Review 4:The location of the apartments was fantastic. There was ample free parking. The apartment comfortable.

Review 5:No bad experience and not even a real negative as it was fine. But bathroom was separate from room and I was terrified I'd lock myself out. Bathroom was very clean and private just to that room on the plus side.

Review 6:The location and the price. Very good value for money. Malcolm and Tina were really friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend this venue.

Review 7:The flat was apparently non smoking but there was cigarette ash over the living room floor and you could smell smoke throughout

Review 8:a couple of minutes from the sea front which is a bonus, it was nice to be able to relax in a living room rather than just sit in a hotel room

Review 9:Shower was a little hard to keep at a constant temp. Which isn't great when you got little ones under it

Review 10:The location of these apartments is great, only a 10 min walk to the pier and seafront, the room was a good size for myself and 2 little girls and the back garden was secure and good for th to play in, would recommend to anyone

Review 11:This place may have been ok in the 80's when most of the furniture was new but now is in need if urgent refurb. The place is dirty.Had to cut Holiday short.Awful.Sorry.

Review 12:Nothing good to say.sorry

Review 13:Only that it didn't have a shower, but we made use of the other facilities, still enjoyed our stay.

Review 14:Great host, great location, clean and comfortable room. Would definately recommend staying and I'll stay there again. :)

Review 15:The room was very old fashioned the bed make an awful creaking sound (which can be fixed) you could hear the fridge all night!! Advertise as a holiday studio I think bedsit would be a better name!! But you get what you pay for not a luxury hotel but we didn't expect it to be!!

Review 16:The location is fab for everything in Skegness not having to use the car for the majority of our stay was great!! The owners are lovely and though we didn't need anything I'm sure nothing would be to much trouble

Review 17:The bed was a box base which was very noisy when turning over init. Didn't effect our sleep at all though!

Review 18:Owners very friendly. Location was brilliant just round the corner from the middle of the main shops. Very clean.

Review 19:We was not happy with the lightening within the building.we was also nit happy with size of the bathroom we thought it could be a bit bigger as u could tough your head on the celling

Review 20:We liked the way it was clean and tidy.we also the location .

Review 21:No parking available during the day because visitors fill up the sideroads and there is no private parking (contrary to what owners claim ontheir web site). Wifi signal too weak during evening to maintain aconnection, but ok first thing. Shower was electric - hot but feeble.

Review 22:Spacious room, kitchenette well appointed, warm and peaceful. Armchairsand table setup fine.

Review 23:Carpet and decor like my granny had 40 years ago and shower in cupboard with soap dish that digs in your back.

Review 24:Location, separate entrance through back door, wifi, price

Review 25:Only negative thing I cud say is it's a little out dated BUT it was so clean you hardly noticed

Review 26:The position and the cleanliness , we were also met at the front door even though we didn't arrive until 7pm by a nice gentleman that explained every thing we needed to know

Review 27:Flies on bed when we got there food in the bins. The balcony was flooded and we was rushed to get out at 10 to 10 Considering I asked for late check out

Review 28:Location

Review 29:The room was rather small, but other than that, no other qualms.

Review 30:We had to stay an extra night due to bad weather and Malcolm and Tina kindly gave us a discount without us asking for it.

Review 31:The bed was hard, you could feel the springs and the bed made a noise when you moved in the night. The wardrobe doors made a noise every time someone moved in the apartment. No mirror in the room.

Review 32:Close to centre

Review 33:The guests above us were quite noisy.

Review 34:Having an apartment is so useful when travelling as a family. Great to have kitchen facilities. Wonderful being able to come and go as required. Secure garden for children to play.

Review 35:Was able to change my room so me an my friend was next to each other.the owner suggested this idea.also the owner put heating on a bit earlier as we were cold.

Review 36:Nothing.

Review 37:Ida Ross is really calm ans quiet though you have only a few minutes to walk to the seafront it town center. As we travelled with a baby the extra room was worth pure gold. The kitchen provides everything you need to make breakfeast it a small dinner. The landlord and his wife are very kind and helpful. Funny was the antique power meter you have to put in coins to. But this is no problem because the landlord will give you some coins if you ask.

Review 38:There was absoulutely nothing at all I did'nt like, enjoyed every minute , highly recommended

Review 39:First time ever staying in a flat on holiday, usually we stay in a hotel or bed and breakfast, but the best holiday in a long time . Get up when you want ,eat when you want , spotlessly clean, friendly ,helpful owners who could not do enough for you . Very central for everything , private garden and parking , excellent .

Review 40:The apartment I stayed in was small and dingy and the furniture was old and dated. Towels had to be requested, not left in the room as standard, which I have never come across. The en suite would have been adequate if I could have got the shower to emit hot water!

Review 41:The location was excellent in terms of being within easy walking distance of the shops and seafront.

Review 42:Location brill, nothing was any trouble to the owners always obliging, full facility for mobility scooter chargers and secured, lovely private gardens with fab furniture.

Review 43:The fact that I had only booked a week.

Review 44:I likes the fact that the owner was there to greet us and helped carry the luggage to our room, it is also very close to the town centre as well about five minutes through the park gets you to the sea front.

Review 45:Nothing - only request is to double check telephone number when e-mailing details back to client as this was incorrect...but thank goodness for number on frontage of building as would have had a bit of a nightmare....

Review 46:Central enough for town but not the noise as on quiet road also. Property fit for purpose, very comfortable, clean and accessible. We brought our own food for dinner & breakfast and all you needed to cook was available in a small but perfectly sized kitchen. Dining table & furnishings where brilliant for all our requirements. Beds very comfortable and sheets fresh & clean including towels. Loved the 'Fairy Lights' around frontage of property...helped tremendously when returning from a night out... Had the privilege of meeting proprietors and had nothing but superb service, politeness and genuine welfare for our stay....thank you

Review 47:i think the 1bed apartment we stayed in wouldnt be suitable for a family with young children, however the owner showed us a 2 bed apartment which looked very spacious.

Review 130:My wife and I enjoyed just about everything whilst staying at the Lyndene. At first we were a little weary as there was no one to check us in. Then when we got in the room we were told was ours we found another guests receipt with all their details as well. Not a great start! I then spent the first half hour of our "relaxing" holiday attempting to contact the owners to let them know we were in the wrong room. Their phone was engaged as they were trying to contact the other guests. As it turned out, we ended up with a free upgrade so we can't possibly complain. When we met the owners we found them to be very friendly and helpful. Very nice people. Between the two of them, they keep a very clean and tidy place. It is a very basic place so if you expect The Ritz, go elsewhere. The rooms however do provide a home from home. There is free on street parking and a fair sized car park to the rear of the building. Perfectly placed for the town centre and beach. The streets are quite well lit should you be returning after dark. We enjoyed it so much so that we are going to be booking with them again.
