Reviews for The Tiverton Guesthouse
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:Gwenda was absolutely lovely. The breakfast was delicious and as I couldn't decide what I wanted Gwenda just cooked me one of everything which turned out to be exactly what I wanted.
Review 3:Our host was the most welcoming and kind lady, who did the upmost to make our stay comfortable and suited to our needs. She catered for our vegetarian diet and we had a lovely chat over breakfast. She was friendly, kind and interesting and meeting her was a highlight of the trip.
Review 4:Out host was the most w
Review 5:We didnt like the appearance of some of the houses in the road & nearby area. Question do the local council not enforce the locals to keep their houses & gardens in a decent state of repair?
Review 6:We were well looked after by our host.

Review 8:The hospitality of Gwenda who is very friendly and very helpful. The B&b is spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Excellent commuting loop bus
Review 9:The accommodation was spotlessly clean, carefully prepared and warm and comfortable with everything I could need. I was greeted with warmth and friendliness and my breakfast was delicious!
Review 10:Lovely room, very clean, a reasonable size and cosy. Nice old house which has been lovingly restored to a high standard and original features kept. Yummy breakfast. A nice 15min walk by the sea to where most attractions are - e.g. Turner Gallery/Old Town. Very friendly and helpful owner.
Review 11:Nothing really. The telly had a really dodgy connection and kept cutting out, but I was able to pseudo-fix it so it worked for our stay. This is not the proprietor's fault, I have a sense that it could have been like that and nobody told her that it wasn't working properly! The neighbourhood is what you can describe as "up and coming" and is slightly rundown. This is not an issue for us. But if you prefer not to pass drunks and other characters on your way to town centre, avoid walking down Northdown Road and instead walk along the seafront.
Review 12:Great place. The proprietor is lovely, very helpful and unobtrusive. Some great conversation during breakfast too. She is a great cook, I can never get my bacon that perfect. Beds are very comfy, rooms tastefully appointed.
Review 13:Gwenda, is a very attentive host, the guesthouse has a very homely feel and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast chats. It was a pleasure to stay here and we miss it already
Review 14:Beautiful room, very comfy bed, welcoming and very interesting owner who had time to talk and made us feel most welcome. Delicious breakfast with personal touches which far exceeded usual expectations. Very interesting house.
Review 15:The décor of the guesthouse was lovely: harmonious and calming. The landlady went out of her way to make my stay comfortable - recommending a place to eat, giving travel information and providing a breakfast outside of normal times for my early start.
Review 16:nothing, if I had to say anything negative then it would be the seagulls on the beach
Review 17:Not central Margate location but this was no problem (was very quiet during the evening). Landlady was amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Room was great, far better than Premier Inn etc and the same money with breakfast as well. Breakfast was really good, again landlady was great, asked what we would like and like magic it appeared (would recommenced English cooked breakfast). We wanted to have a meal in Margate, bus stop was 30 secs from the B&B (on teh main road)., Buses run every 8 mins and took us into the town. Would reccomend Yamas, Thai resturant where the food was amaing and really good value. You have to take your won drink (saving money, there are two off licences near by if you forget). Yes we would recommend this B&B, it was well worth the money for the accommodation alone but the Land Lady made our visit to Margate stand out from other days away. James & Teresa
Review 18:Everything was lovely, felt really comfortable and homely. Full English breakfast in the morning was great. Definitely plan on coming back again in the future
Review 19:Did not like being unable to call guesthouse directly to discuss arrivalarrangements Also thought it was poor form being ticked off by host, when we had taken trouble to communicate late arrival
Review 20:Tasteful decor Breakfast Chiko
Review 21:Wonderful friendly, thoughtful host. Lovely comfortable, quiet house. Great breakfast with local sausages and home-made marmalades. As a gay couple we were worried about what reception we might receive but the host couldn't have been kinder. We would stay there again!
Review 22:This is the most comfortable B&B we've ever been in. From the moment you step in you feel welcome. The room we had was spacious and light, with everything in it we could need. The bed and bedding was so clean, cosy and comfortable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, keeping us well-fuelled long into our busy day. The area of The Tiverton Guesthouse is a short walk away from the seafront and within easy reach of all that Margate and its surrounds has to offer. Our stay was extremely good value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants to stay somewhere lovely for a good price.
Review 23:Felt like we were staying in someone's house, which we were! Everything very personal to owner, not much privacy.
Review 24:Beautiful room, very clean and quiet
Review 25:We were the first guests so teething problems like TV not working properly, no wifi code. Heavy duvet on a summer night, no bin, no tea bags or milk
Review 26:The breakfast was amazing with eggs from her son's farm and all her own hand made jams. We all wanted to buy them! Beautiful room with very comfortable bed too
