Reviews for Belair Beach Hotel

Review 1:Not so much a bad experience but we do find when there are less people staying in the hot food at the breakfast buffet is hard to come by.

Review 2:Our room on the 4th floor had just been refurbished and was hugely different from the room we had the year before.

Review 3:I really enjoyed this hotel! Very nice and clear. Quality and sympathetic staff speaking in different languages. I lived in this hotel on the conference and was satisfied. The low cost of dinner and lunch, but it was very different and good. Very nice and good breakfast. The next year I want to live here if I will return.

Review 4:Our room was booked as a "Standard Room Side Sea View" but we got put in a family room, the double bed was very hard and the TV only had one clear channel. Everything was very old and we were never told where the pool was or what amenties the hotel had. We were so upset that it didn't really look like the photos that we cancelled our second night and went elsewhere. It might have been OK for other people but we were on our honeymoon and were looking for something a bit nicer.

Review 5:Location was good and main areas seemed to be nice.

Review 6:You get much less than what you pay for. The overall quality is poor and the rate is high given the poor quality. I would pay half what I paid for and stay in a similar quality hotel nearby, or with slight extra (20 Euros) I would stay in 5-star hotel nearby. The rooms are not sound-proof so it can be very noisy at night. If a neighboring guest flush their toilet your will hear noise in your room. Same with any walk or talk in the corridor, which happens all the night. Rooms furniture is cheap quality with no carpet on the floor so the bed-sheets were full of sand. The TV is 20 years old with limited options. Breakfast is the same everyday with poor hygiene. Most cups and plates are dirty or not cleaned properly and insects could be seen flying over food.

Review 7:Location is good and staff are friendly. Staff speak English

Review 8:The position, the view of my room, the rich and delicious breakfast and dinner, everything was clean, the politeness of the stuff and especially George in the breakfast and dinner room.

Review 9:As non smokers we had People smoking on balconies and the smell would linger onto ours even in the room. I think the hotel should have a non smoking policy for their rooms/balconies.

Review 10:My husband & I stayed at Hotel Belair from 14th-23rd of May. We had a front room overlooking the sea (room 203) The views were fantastic as on a clear day you could see Turkey and the sunsets were amazing! The main road which runs outside the hotel is extremely busy and would benefit a crossing outside the hotel for easier access to the beach. Once all the rooms have been upgraded this hotel will be even better. Our room was spacious with very comfortable twin beds, flat screen TV & ample wardrobe space. At night it was quite warm so we had to have the patio door open to cool the room down as the air con at the hotel does not get switched on until June. The road noise didnt stop us sleeping by doing this but the mozzies did and although we had a machine plugged in by the door it didnt stop them coming in and feasting on us! Ideally a screen fitted over the open door would have been ideal. Maria on reception is such a lovely lady, very welcoming and friendly. I was ill during our stay and everytime she saw me she asked how I was feeling. George & his staff in the restaurant work very had to make sure there is always enough food on offer and will have a smile and a chat with you to make you feel welcome.(he is also a good singer) as he performed at the Greek night at the hotel. Overall I would stay here again due to te great location from Rhodes Town, the cleanliness & the friendly, helpful staff. The only negative point is no kettle in room and us Brits love our cups of tea & coffee, so fellow travellers take a travel kettle.

Review 11:Room was basic but very big. The sea view was brilliant. Ruined slightly by the very busy road right infront but still enjoyable sitting outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They would always say hello and smile and made you feel welcome. The breakfast that was included was enjoyable, not great, but tasty enough to fill a hole in the morning amlnd set you up for the day. The location on the hotel was good. Bus stop right outside and only a few miles into town. But unfortunately the service was poor and we always ended up jumping a cab in (for €8). You could get in and look for another couple to jump in along the way and the taxi driver would charge €5 per couple.

Review 12:Unfortunately like most places in Greece the matresses are too firm. so the Belair was really no different. Perhaps something warm offered for breakfast would of been good. it was all cold food items..

Review 13:Very pleasant and efficient staff. Great position close to all amenities. placed us in an amazing room with spectacular view.

Review 14:There is a problem for the internet as you really have a pay a lot and no free internet is available

Review 15:Its really a nice place to be in and quite cheap as compared to the other hotels of that standard. Staff was really friendly and rooms are clean.

Review 16:Did not come with free internet; paid 40 Euro for a Netgate access card for the week.

Review 17:Nice staff; good breakfast; good rate; 100 m from conference site

Review 18:everything so nice,,,, good place, near to sea

Review 19:Cheapest rooms are very minimal. breakfast is lousy and could really use some improvement

Review 20:Cheap, nice views, convenient location, quiet, helpful staff

Review 21:Small pool, long walk to the beach.

Review 22:Located less than 10 min. drive from Chania which is an amazing city

Review 23:Receptionist not very welcoming on check in

Review 24:Nearby beach and regular bus to Rhodes town

Review 25:hard beds. old fashion decoration, drinks a bit expensive

Review 26:large and clean rooms, location, pool, cool room, perfect air-condition

Review 27:Breakfast room crowded.

Review 28:Nice location, close to the airport and to the city.

Review 29:You have to pay money to the beach in front of the hotel.

Review 30:Breakfast

Review 31:Very helpful staff

Review 32:No need for transfers taxi to hotel fixed fair 17 euros or bus 2 euros

Review 33:The entire hotel was lovely. Priced reasonably, attractive, lovely staff.

Review 34:No 4 stars terrible breakfat

Review 35:Nothing special

Review 36:Meals are poor

Review 37:Location is good.

Review 38:In the bedroom, old TV set which needs to be replaced...

Review 39:Amenities - Helpful & nice staff - Quietness - Cleanliness - Breakfast - Swimming pool

Review 40:No free wifi available, breakfast was poor

Review 41:Staff was really nice

Review 42:location, seaview, service

Review 43:Very noisy street (even at night), poor breakfast, no free beach for the hotel guests.

Review 44:Friendly staff, close to the beach, not far from the city center, free parking place.

Review 45:hotel in very good place, very beautiful view if you have room with sea wiev because you can wach sun rising. personal was very friendly, room very clean (clean every day).

Review 46:Old furniture. Broken shower.

Review 47:From airport, take any local buss ( 2.30 euro ) to hotel.busstop outsidehotel. To rhodos center 2.30 euro. Good buffet. Chees and egg forbreakfast.indian resturent 100 meters away and many super markets.verycleen hotel. 1 hour if you walk to rhodos center.

Review 48:Hotel is very dated, needs a complete overhaul. Dining room feels very cramped with the amount of tables in it. Lots of unused space in the hotel-2 large seating areas which could be utilised more.

Review 49:Staff were a credit to the hotel.

Review 50:In Septermber average age is above 50+. Beware, popular among Russian tourist agents. Most of visitors are Russians.

Review 51:Hotel makes a tight community. Easy to meet and chat with people. Really close to the seashore. And you can cross the road underground if you come to the neighbouring Rhodos Palace.

Review 52:Rooms could have more mains sockets. WiFi should be free of charge. No kettle and iron in the room, and not provided on demand (hotel policy is not to allow ironing in the room). Wine an "juices" included in AI package are below average, tried only once and never took them again - only water and soft drinks. The same about drinks at night bar (included in AI package) Not the hotel fault: beach is not so clean, and do not have changing rooms and shower, beach is on the windy side of the island so there are waves almost every day. Bus stop is near but the bus is almost always overcrowded so it's better to rent a car or scooter.

Review 53:Good location, clean spacious room with balcony (lived in #408), close to the beach, welcoming staff, close to the airport and the town of Rhodes. Food is average but you'll always find something you like.

Review 54:No airconditioning, expensive internet (two closest hotels have wireless internet included in their rate)

Review 55:Very helpfull staff. Cleaning done everyday. Very good food. Reception ladies speak several languages, same restaurant staff. Many rooms with sea view.

Review 56:Smells of cooking especially at dinner pervaded right upto fourth floor. meals were warm, not hot, especially eggs at breakfast. Limited choice for vegetarians Paid WiFi No drinking water, tea/coffee in rooms

Review 57:Spacious rooms, beach facing convenient location, hospitable staff

Review 58:The rooms need either a fan or air condition at certain times of the day. A coffee or tea maker would make the rooms complete.

Review 59:The attitude of the staff was wonderful. The entire stay was value for money.

Review 60:I only wish there were more than 5 stars available. I normally dontwrite reviews but the hotel and the staff have left me speechless.Amazingly friendly and helpful in every way

Review 61:no tea/coffee making machine in the room, could not sip while lazing in the balcony. the blue tag around the wrist can be embarrassing if you are on a business trip

Review 62:everything, particularly the cheerful staff, so friendly and efficient. the food was so good, I binged like anything. I'm definitely going there post retirement for a long vacation. it's right next to the Sheraton where the conference was going on and you can take a bus from the airport to reach the hotel.

Review 63:Smoking is allowed in public areas (like pool) - gues it is common greekproblem as eu membership is still pure. Cleaners don't refill bathroomwith shampoos/bath gel if you don't ask them even if old ones iscompletely empty. All-inclusive ice-creams is only for children :( Nofree wi-fi (and you will not find it anywhere near)!

Review 64:Very friendly staff. Good value for money. Food is good (but choise isvery limited :/ ). Free sport activitied on site (mini-golf, tennis).All-inclusive :)

Review 66:No power outlets in the room close to the bed or desk.

Review 67:Friendly staff, clean room, excellent location.
