Reviews for Hotel le Petit Dru

Review 1:There were none.

Review 2:The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a very late flight on our checkout day and they allowed us to stay longer as they had no-one using the room after us - very kind.

Review 3:wifi in room not working, too poor reception. Had not made seperate beds as agreed but willing to change. If you ski it's a good 15 min walk to the lift or 5 min walk to bus stop that goes each hour. Thought it was quite expensive.

Review 4:friendly staff, hotel facilities and kitchen.

Review 5:We only booked a family quad room (for 5 of us), but on arrival found that the hotel had given us two inter-connected rooms for no extra cost! We knew one room was a bit of a squeeze, so this was really nice from the hotel. And the barman makes a mean White Russian!

Review 6:The free wifi is not good. It depends where the room is situated and how many people are surfing at the same time that makes the bandwidth unstable. Don't count on that if you want to work via internet. For checking the emails... is OK.

Review 7:Good Hotel situated well in Morzine village. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the facilities quite well.

Review 8:Shame that the spa facilities/pool aren't open in the mornng but only from late afternoon onwards.

Review 9:Very well appointed room, lovely bathroom and super-comfy bed!

Review 10:The Reception staff were not all that helpful, when I asked questions i didnt seem to get an auful lot of information and it was a chore to ask.

Review 11:I thought that the hotel was nice, everything was clean and tidy. The location was great with a lift to the town and a bus stop just outside

Review 12:WiFi signal was weak to non existent

Review 13:Super service from staff. Conveniently located for Central Morzine. Good quality food. We were offered alternatives to the set meal if we preferred something else

Review 14:You can really see that this is a hotel for 'groups' - everything is industrial. Welcome was very limited, room was spartiate, dinner menu not adapted to the 33°c outside, and not possible to eat outside on the terrace. Picture on internet makes out swimming pool is big, in fact VERY small and reeks of chlorine.

Review 15:Honestly - nothing. Even the view was over a car park and school playground

Review 16:Very patchy internet access with slow download speeds. Would have been nice to have larger area to store bikes - the ski store room is large but does not have any places to lock bikes to a solid object.

Review 17:Good facilities and staff, excellent location. Nice room with great views across town.

Review 18:the pool was really cold.

Review 19:food, nice room with view of slopes and town, bed very comfy and staff

Review 20:Lovely cosy, welcoming hotel.

Review 21:Friendly staff excellent all round hotel

Review 22:Juckizi and pool could be a warmer

Review 23:Breakfasts and breakfast staff.

Review 24:Location Front of house staff

Review 25:Staff really helpful and went beyond call of duty to help with things like rental car issues. Let us check out late too.

Review 26:Pool, jacuzzi food

Review 27:Pool, breakfast on the sunny terrace, massage, friendly staff

Review 28:Shower went boiling hot. Rooms so warm.

Review 29:Too much Pine, but its a chalet style

Review 30:Location, balcony, great views, good room

Review 31:nothing

Review 32:staff, service, decor, room, bar

Review 33:Getting on the internet was way too slow and the signal was hopeless

Review 34:The view, the food, the facilities - the Jacuzzi was amazing

Review 35:pool was much too cool

Review 36:good breakfast

Review 37:Rooms were dated/ decor needs updating

Review 38:Very good food

Review 39:It's a bit of a walk to the village.

Review 40:It was so welcoming. The rooms are warm. The staff are friendly.

Review 41:It was all fab

Review 42:We loved everything about hotel le petit dru. It started with the friendly welcome, brief hotel tour and amazing balcony view.

Review 43:Bit pricey...

Review 44:Very comfortable beds, excellent rooms. Good breakfast.

Review 45:Pool and hot tub open quite limited hours

Review 46:Excellent breakfast. Good luggage store age and changing facilities for early arrival and late departure.

Review 47:Wi fi connection was not great.

Review 48:Great location for skiing in either Morzine or Avoriaz. Really helpful and friendly staff. Loved it and would go back.

Review 49:Friendly Staff Pool and Jacuzzi Rooms with Balconies

Review 50:Polite and helpful staff Good choice for breakfast Hotel well maintained Good location Great views over the town Ski bus stop very close by

Review 51:The wooden style and views of Morzine

Review 52:Ample space and facility's with very friendly staff.

Review 53:Stayed here on a short skiing break in February 2014 and had a really good break. The hotel was well set up for all our needs. We arrived early and although our room wasn't ready there was somewhere for us to change and leave our luggage which meant we were on the slopes (having hired ski gear) by 12.30. We also did the same in reverse the day we left and were offered shower facilities in the spa if we wanted them. The staff at the hotel were always pleasant and helpful and you definitely felt they were there to make your life as easy and pleasant as possible. There were lots of nice touches like the bar service at a table or comfy chair in the lounge, crisps and olives with your pre dinner drinks and the way the serving staff in the dining room went out of their way to explain the set up and how it all worked. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so only ate in the hotel on our last night. The 3 course set menu for dinner morphed into 5 by the time they added an appetizer and a soup course and the quality of the food was very good. Breakfast was buffet style and extensive - eggs to cook for yourself, bacon & sausages, pastries, bread and all the usual fare you would expect. Our room was large and could obviously be used as a family room, although with anything but young children space might have been tight. There was plenty of storage in the room which is unusual in my experience for a ski resort! The bath in the bathroom was a half length bath ( legs or body in water not both), but there if it had bothered us that much there were hot tubs in the spa. We didn't use any of the spa facilities but they looked nice. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Super Morzine telecabine. We hired our ski equipment from the Intersport right next to the lift where they let you leave your boots & skis in a nice safe and warm environment overnight. This made for a very relaxed stroll to and from the slopes every day - something I would highly recommend.

Review 54:The manager was brilliant and did everything to make our stay exceptional. They go above and beyond to help as do all the locals if you need assistance.

Review 55:We were only there one night. Unfortunately the pool, Jacuzzi and sauna are only open from 4pm-8pm. I was hoping to get in a morning swim on our last day when we didn't have time to ski.

Review 56:The staff are wonderful ! We were welcomed by the owner and all everyone was extremely charming!

Review 57:Breakfast slightly limited in places, cereal options could be better. rooms are quite small, we were in a family suite as a couple.... could not imagine sharing with two other people/children.

Review 58:Staff were excellent, very polite Rooms were comfortable however small, comment in the negatives.

Review 59:Perfect location for cycling holiday with friends. Friendly staff went above and beyond (bringing a bicycle pump from home for our use). Rooms were clean, comfortable with great views from the balconies. Free laundry. Short walk to all the town amenities.

Review 60:Hotel Le Petit Dru is probably the best hotel in Morzine. The reception area is large and cozy with many sofas. It is positioned on a hilltop, so the views are great. We went in the summer and enjoyed the pool, which was nicely situated on decking overlooking the mountains. The jacuzzi was lovely too. The staff are very nice, accommodating and helpful. The room is quite basic, but I think it is common for that area. The hotel is central, just a short walk into town. Not great if you have trouble walking up or down steep hills.

Review 61:I have been to the hotel 3 times now for skiing holidays in groups ranging from 6 -17. The staff remembered us from my first trip and couldn't do enough for us. For us the hotel feels like a home from home. It is very informal and guests can just please themselves (it seems like nothing is too much trouble for Herve and his team). This year I went back with two teenage girls for a summer activity holiday and the pool really came into its own after a hard day's parapenting and luging etc. I wouldn't describe the hotel as a 'happening' place for teenagers but that isn't what we wanted. That said, my sixteen year old daughter is now a cocktail expert and worked her way through the bar menu (non alcoholic cocktails of course). I can recommend the alcoholic version. The Hotel Le Petit Dru is great if you want a relaxing location, attentive staff and good value for money. I have already asked Herve (the owner) about availability for my next ski holiday. The rooms are quite comfortable, the food is fine and the views are divine.

Review 62:I stayed at the hotel at the end of the ski season when it was fairly quiet. The owner and manager of petit dru was extremely friendly and helpful, offsetting us advice about the resort and giving us lifts into town on several occasions. I was extremely impressed with the service we received as guests of the hotel.

Review 63:It was really hard to locate the hotel and difficult to find front door. We always used the back door

Review 64:I liked their breakfast and friendly staff and the puppy in the foyer

Review 65:The ensuite bathroom needs some attention to bring it to the standard of the rest of the facilities.

Review 66:Excellent, relatively new sauna and hammam. It was nice that it had a pool too, although not very big, half inside and half outside. Good location as there is a Bus Stop very close to the Hotel which is on the route between Morzine and Avoriaz, and the Hotel is just a few minutes walk to the restaurants and shops. Ski hire on-site. Ski room with lockers and separate room to dry boots. Bedroom was nice, on the small side maybe, but with sufficient storage. TV in the room has UK channels. Nice bar area. Bacon and eggs at breakfast.

Review 67:Room smelled musty and pool was small. Otherwise hotel lovely. Weather bad for skiing very heavy snowfall which can't be helped so didn't see morzine at its best.

Review 68:Food was excellent, front desk staff very helpful and waiters and chef very accommodating. Even allowed me come back for shower after skiing on day of checkout. Excellent transport to town and ski area.

Review 69:Nothing!

Review 70:The staff are brilliant, and Herve and his sister go out of their way to make sure everything is okay. We didn't do dinner, but breakfast was fab!

Review 71:Our room lacked sound proofing but nothing major! On site restaurant wasn't really geared for young families.

Review 72:Great character - a perfect ski setting. Log fires, wooden decor.

Review 73:Breakfast wasn't included in the price!?

Review 74:Overall the quality and cleanliness was high. Great views of mountains. Short walk to village centre. Helpful and friendly staff. The balcony rooms are worth it!

Review 75:only going home........

Review 76:Excellent location - superb views along the valley of Morzine and the church- faccility and staff first class would definately go back winter or summer

Review 77:Getting disorientated in the hotel, that said I am not the best with a piste map either :)

Review 78:Location was good for the evening and fair for skiing. There was a fantastic bus service every 10 minutes that was almost door to door. Staff were keen to help and give advice. Very good ski & boot room, life made easy for tired skiers after a day on the amazing slopes!

Review 79:Breakfast not included and a bit expensive at €13 per person

Review 80:Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely spacious room, great swimmingpool / hot tub / steam room / sauna

Review 81:Tiny bedroom and bed, was very difficult to sleep. Bathroom was very small as well and quality of the bedroom furnishings was not 4 star. Elevator noise was an issue as well as hearing the conversations of other guests in their rooms.

Review 82:Good location, friendly staff, clean hotel. Good value considering the location

Review 83:Herve and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The service was excellent, including drop offs locally which they offered without being asked. Even the resident dog was welcoming!

Review 84:The room was a little too hot in the night and it was not possible to adjust the radiator thermostat.

Review 85:The staff were great both in the restaurant and upon check out. Our transfer wasn't until late evening, so after a days skiing the staff provided towels and a shower so we could go home clean and refreshed.

Review 86:The only slight niggle was that we decided we wanted half board and thatwasn't available on booking. Com. When we came to add it at thehotel I don't think we got the same value for money as if we'dbooked direct with the hotel in the first place.

Review 87:Very comfortable and restful for my teenaged daughter and I to have amuch needed break. Good spa facilities though would have been better allon one floor and both the pool and jacuzzi were rather cold. Staff wereall excellent - just one problem with one which I'm sure would nothave been the norm. Food was very French and tasty. Would have liked athird choice on menu but pretty good. Variety of choice at breakfast butwould have liked to be able to boil an egg not just fry! Good to be ablearrange ski hire etc directly in the hotel with Intersport. Very handy.Overall, very good and would recommend.

Review 88:The food was good but quite expensive, we found better value & quality food in the local restaurants.

Review 89:Staff friendly, hotel spacious & very alpine style, Spa very nice.

Review 90:The lights in the rooms aren't ideal.

Review 91:Nice place with a nice view, only 100 meters from the bus station. I like the elevator that brings you down to the village center. The reception & bar area is very cosy. Just right after a day in the mointains.

Review 92:€32 for dinner - menu was semi fixed and overall not brilliant value.(But you are in Morzine I guess !) Breakfast not included in room ratebut this was known and clear in advance and we chose to take it....

Review 93:Helpful and friendly Reception and Hosekeeping staff, nice to have apool to use (although could be a bit warmer !) Free parking, Frientlyrestaurant staff explained in English and French how the service worked

Review 94:All a bit dated (70s) and basic. Bathroom tiny even for 5'1" woman. Evening meals rather rich, formal and VERY EXPENSIVE! WiFi only worked in reception with my iPhone.

Review 95:We were in a spacious family room. Well located ski/boot room. Only 5 mins walk to Morzine and 10 mins by free bus to morzine and TC to Avoriaz. New sauna and dream room. Good variety at breakfast. Children enjoyed inside / outside pool.

Review 96:This hotel is located close to ski slopes and the free bus to take you to the lifts is 20m away and runs every 10min. Walking into the town centre is 5 min. The hotel has a spa, pool and sauna which are perfect for post ski relax. Cosy, hotel with a lovely hotel dog to play with! Beds were comfy, not noisy in rooms - all was good.

Review 97:If I have to mention one thing - Pool & Sauna are on different floorsand not connected, which is a bit odd.

Review 98:Very friendly & helpfull staff Great restaurant - had a wonderful FondueSavoyarde Clean & Spacious room - good beds! New Sauna & steam bathPerhaps not the cheapest but still considered it good value, esp. Whencompared to some other hotels we previously stayed at!
