Reviews for B&B Weymouth

Review 1:Near the shops pubs and sea loved the 24 hr tea coffee facilities could take snacks and drinks back to lounge and chill watching large screen telly as the weather was pretty awful !!

Review 2:Nothing

Review 3:Stayed at xmas and everything was done to make sure our needs were accommodated. We had to get to family for 11am and would not be able to get back to check in at 2pm (normal check in time) but they were happy for us to check in early to get the key and even put our bags in the room! All of the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent and very clean and breakfast was also very good! Would recomend

Review 4:I would recommend to avoid room no. 3., as it can be noisy and is next to lounge area.

Review 5:Kind and friendly staff, good food and excellent location. Definitely coming back.

Review 6:We only stayed one night.

Review 7:Last stayed here four years ago , since then they have taken onboard Michelle, what a find! Room just superb(Room 20) fine sea views and spotless throughout. Breakfast way above your average B&B. Plenty of places to stay in this town but they are not cared for by Michelle , no request was too much trouble, I rest my case.

Review 8:We paid extra for a seaview but we re in an attic room with very small window on 6th floor with no lift, issue for me as I have condition which affects my legs. Thought it was over priced particularly in low season for the size of room, view and facilities. We booked double but it was 2singles pushed together, bed wasn't very comfortable and pillows were very thin and flat with same for a duvet. Although tea coffee in lounge, didn't want to walk down 3 flights of stairs in morning in pjs to get a cup. I frequently stay in chain hotels in London and can get a much better room for same price as we paid for this very basic B&B

Review 9:Location was good and it was clean. Breakfast good

Review 10:The directions to the hotel were inadequate when travelling by car as there were many one way streets and it was not possible to even stop just outside the hotel. Hence three or four 'circles' before finding somewhere to park and check in. However a 'resident parking permit' was provided as standard making everything else very easy.

Review 11:The manageress could not have been more friendly and informative. She even had to cook our breakfast when the kitchen staff reported in sick on our last day.

Review 12:Pillows were very thin and needed a touch up of paint in places but no major issues.

Review 13:Great location once you can find it and friendly staff with a good breakfast. Nice size shower cubicle with good hot shower and comfy mattress.

Review 14:Starkness Facilities in lounge - no cups in the evening or morning to use tea facilities As there were none in the room this should have kept stocked

Review 15:Staff Breakfast Location

Review 16:Avoid the very top floor if the neighbours are likely to be noisy. Would have preferred the tea/coffee facilities to be in the room.

Review 17:The view and tea/coffee facilities. Great breakfast with quality bacon and sausage. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 18:serious stains on the carpet in room 18, reading light fixings wobbly , door handle loose needs fixing or replacing,

Review 19:comfortable bed, central location, friendly staff, great breakfast,

Review 20:Excellent spacious room, comfy bed and duvet - recommend room 3, no view but very peaceful. Very efficient bath, shower and loo. Fabulous breakfast and unlimited tea/coffee/water throughout day. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location and price. Couldn't ask for more.

Review 21:Too noisy. Noise from passing people going home. Very loud music from Finns behind, and we still heard it from our room. Was informed when booking that I had a bath, but on arrival was told there wasn't one in our room after I specifically told them I wanted one as I lose my balance In a shower

Review 22:The food

Review 23:Lorry deliveries to pub and supermarket below our window from 5am

Review 24:Very clean, good sized rooms with contemporary feel. Attentive staff with cheerful demeanour. Great breakfast

Review 25:The first room was a bit dark and lacked a bath which I had asked for. Parking is a problem..permits are issued for nearby streets, but its not reserved so you have to compeet with those who have parked for 1 hour free or those who have paid at a parking meter, was quite difficult.Parked at Radipole car park £8 per day.

Review 26:The staff were very helpful and made you feel welcomed. The breakfasts were excellent Location was very good

Review 27:No towel rail in the bathroom but a polite notice to say if happy to use more than once leave on towel rail if not put in bath or leave on floor

Review 28:Breakfast was cooked to your requirements and you could see it being freshly prepared

Review 29:Only thing is the room was a little bit grubby and the bathroom could do with some attention. Didnt spoil our trip though.

Review 30:Love it here. Staff are excellent, location is perfect and the lounge is great

Review 31:Cleanliness wasn't a great point... Bedding, carpet and shower didn't seem too clean

Review 32:The location was excellent, slightly mis sold the 'sea view' which was a very small window

Review 33:Took over half an hour to get in, spent the next half an hour looking for somewhere to park. Cold, damp, room with stained carpet. Person cooking breakfast not wearing an apron, but plenty of jewellery and nail polish. Not sure how they managed to have a 5 on their food hygiene certificate.

Review 34:Great location if you don't have a car. Lovely breakfast, after waiting for half an hour.

Review 35:Was looking forward to the breakfast but the bacon let it down which put me off the lot and couldn't eat it, but that's all the hosting wAs amazing and everything else about the breakfast service was

Review 36:How friendly and welcoming the staff were

Review 37:Parking is not at the location you are given a parking permit and have to find a parking spot, ours was on a back street away from B&B. Noisy dogs in other rooms.

Review 38:A good, clean room with a large and comfortable bed. The breakfast is excellent. All located on the sea front amongst all amenities.

Review 39:not suitable for disabled guests, no ground floor rooms and no lift........too much noise during the night from local takeaways and too many stairs........

Review 40:very nice clean hotel rooms, staff very helpful, great breakfasts, lovely communal lounge with views to the beach, and free tea and coffee and biscuits 24/7...........travelled as a family group age range 10 - 89 years......and all had a top notch time

Review 41:Having mobility issues, would of liked ground floor room, also parking was a problem, even with a blue badge was difficult to find parking space near enough to hotel. Parking permit a bonus if you knew where you could park, one way system did not make this an easy hotel to get to. Also, position of hotel close to late night takeaway/taxi rank led to a lot of late night/early morning noise. However, beach front just a stroll away from Hotel so this more than made up for the parking issues.

Review 42:seperate lounge area, free coffee tea biscuits and great breakfasts, lots of choices, all cooked to order. Staff all very pleasant. Top marks to Weymouth Council street cleaning Department, saw state of roads around hotel early hours of the morning, however, all cleaned away by 7.00a.m. Well done........

Review 43:Beds were past their best - very soggy mattresses. Wife ended up with bedding on the floor. Staff did what they could to help but they can't buy new beds!

Review 44:Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, good location in town for beach, shops and all facilities

Review 45:No bad experiences what so ever. However felt the carpet could do with cleaning or replacing, as the one in our room was very stained.

Review 46:Position of the b and b

Review 47:Room could have done with an update and paint up. The blackout blind did not do its job as it didn't fit the window properly.

Review 48:Great location, excellent breakfast and friendly staff always really helpful.

Review 49:The fact there is no car parking only on the road but the car was safe

Review 50:The staff are fantastic very nice and helpful letting me know about buses and places to see .will go back again

Review 51:Stayed on a Saturday night and you have the clubs and bars next door, they did turn the music off at 11pm though. You can still hear the street life though.

Review 52:great breakfast, super lounge as well, not what you expect from a B&B, very nice

Review 53:Travelled with 89year old mother in wheelchair and was shocked to see no disability features ie no ramp into the hotel,no ground floor bedrooms and .no lift ...........but I appreciate old building and mum was not in a wheelchair when I originally made the booking......however, staff went out of their way to help us where possible. This hotel is definately not suitable for disabled guests. Another drawback, not the hotels fault, but bedrooms on the Westham Road side, are very very noisy at night......due to two kebab shops ( one open until 5.30am) and the local taxi rank just opposite, made for alot of noise all night.

Review 54:Hotel rooms spacious, clean, and a communal lounge with free coffee tea, biscuits, and water available 24 hours.and dirty crocks and stocks replenished on a regular basis. Didnt get to know the names of the staff, but each and everyone that we met were pleasant and helpful and are a real asset to the hotel. Will be back for another visit. Breakfasts worth a mention, plenty of choice, fresh fruit, cereals, juices and of course full cooked english, or whatever you wanted, cooked to order as you would like.......delish.......

Review 55:To many stairs when you have a toddler. Also we could hear the exterior extractor fan going all night very noisy

Review 56:Best breakfast in a B and B free tea and coffee 24 hrs a day

Review 57:there was NOTHING bad whatsoever.

Review 58:My daughter and i LOVED our stay at the B&B in Weymouth, the staff were absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them, the rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, the breakfast's superb, it was the best holiday ever, so much so, that weve already booked our stay for 2016 : ))

Review 59:The bed was uncomfortable. The noise from very early of lorries for shop below was annoying. We had room 23. The grout around bath tiles not very clean. Front door was very hard to shut, as it had to be slammed. Would have liked a kettle in room for first thing in morning.

Review 60:It was in a good location, but parking would have been a major problem if we had not had a permit. Staff very friendly and breakfast very nice. Room was a decent size.

Review 61:Fabulous location rooms the staff couldn't do anymore to help if check in could be earlier at 1pm would be great but other than that a flawless experience

Review 62:Large sharing lounge with great coffee and glorious view of the bay. Breakfast cooked to order in open kitchen using quality local produce. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 63:Just noisy in the night

Review 64:Nice Staff. Lovely Room and Breakfast. Thanks to the cook. Great to be near the town. Good to be able to get drinks and biscuits when needed.

Review 65:just the parking - had a permit and had to find a space - bit of a hassle

Review 66:fuss free, well organised and very clean. excellent location right on the seafront - we loved having our own appartment with lounge and kitchen. fabulous breakfast. nice communcal lounge with good coffee maker etc

Review 67:There wasn't anything bad at all. Room was slightly hot but still had an excellent stay

Review 68:Staff were lovely and was made to feel very welcome. Great location, yummy breakfast and comfy bed.

Review 69:Room was not ready when we were got there and was meant to be. We went away then came back was sent to are room. Still was not ready. Staff also walks in room with out knocking and I was just getting out the dirty shower.

Review 70:Central location

Review 71:We stayed here to enjoy the whole day at Weymouth carnival. We went as a family of 5 and also had my 2 grandchildren for the day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The apartment was a great size, beds very comfy. Due to the bad weather the lounge was perfect for watching the procession, we got a takeaway - the staff offered us plates etc :) breakfast was great...... no complaint whatsoever. Will definitely be going back or recommending to others

Review 72:Hunting for one of your allocated parking spaces if we left for a day trip. The cold and rain but that's not your fault. Next door room left TV on all night. Walls too thin.

Review 73:The cooked breakfast was excellent. A sea view and being across the road from the wide sweep of clean sandy beach.

Review 74:It is a tall building with no lifts and I would not recommend it for old and infirm people. If travelling by car one has to find and pay for parking before booking in.

Review 75:Brilliant location, very helpful friendly staff. Facilities are basic but functional and very clean. Excellent value and ideal for young families and backpackers.

Review 76:Great breakfast lovely lounge with free tea coffee biscuits and chilled bottled water. Excellent location on beach close to shops and nightlife. Staff welcoming.

Review 77:Not a bad experience but tea or coffee facilities in the room would have been very welcome

Review 78:Location was excellent. Staff, cleanliness and general comfort was also excellent.

Review 79:Bleak entrance, difficult to get in when we arrived as no response to doorbell General bleak feeling-no decorations or pictures

Review 80:Welcoming staff, cleanliness, very good breakfast. As we were early (12 noon) they were extremely kind at letting us check in.then. Parking arrangements

Review 81:The decor throughout is very tired and lets the place down..New carpets and a coat of paint throughout would make this a boutique hotel, it certainly isn't now.

Review 82:The location, staff, breakfast, apartment, parking permit, free wifi.

Review 83:Had booked a room with a sea view ages ago. Were allocated a room up on the very top floor. Unable to sit and see the view. Very disappointing as the trip had been a special wedding anniversary treat for my husband who loves a good view from a chair in the window!

Review 84:Location, friendly staff, good atmosphere

Review 85:Location is great but in August our room was quite noisy with windows open at night from people shouting in the street to the early morning delivery lorries parked in the road below the window. The door to the bedroom corridor was quite grubby.

Review 86:Loved the breakfast, the comfortable bed, the hot power shower, the clean room, wifi, the uncluttered look and the lounge to make tea and coffee as required!

Review 87:I go to Weymouth a lot, staying at the B+B was the best choice for me and my son. We were close to the beach and all the shops. Perfect location and we can't wait to stay again. Possibly again in 2 weeks if there is availability.

Review 88:Our room was a bit 'tired'with a wierd wall immediately in front of the door. If we'd been large people we'd have had problems squeezing round it to get to the bed. Cheap fittings including a sliding toilet seat. No hairdryer

Review 89:Fabulous breakfast & lovely staff

Review 90:The receptionist thursday morning when we were checking out, felt like she wasnt interested and didnt want to be there. Monday afternoon receptionist was great and we felt nothing was to much for her.

Review 91:The rest of the staff were all friendly. Breakfast was great.

Review 92:No refrigerator in the room, the air vents were a bit dusty, the shelving was crooked and coming off the walls little bit. Nothing major, really.

Review 93:Great breakfast, lovely staff, clean rooms, great shower with bathtub, lovely sitting room with free water, tea and coffee, small heater in the room for the cool evenings, big bed, child friendly.

Review 94:Our room was located in the top floor which meant tackling 5 flights of stairs with a 16 month old which wasn't ideal. I would recommend requesting a lower floor if you have small children.

Review 95:The staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge was lovely with great views. The whole place was clean and served a great breakfast.

Review 96:The only gripe I will mention about this hotel and it's a small one is the twin bed pushed together. There was no other alternative for this room as could of only been used a as a double room. I kept finding the gap and falling in.

Review 97:Homemade breakfast was awesome and the staff were very professional.

Review 98:Very very uncomfortable beds. Ended up sleeping on floor for part of one night. We were only there for two nights and wouldn't of been able to cope with any further nights.

Review 99:Everything apart from very very uncomfortable beds!

Review 100:The mattress too soft but manageable.

Review 101:Fantastic stay would recommend for anyone. The bed was too soft for our liking but apart from that absolutely nothing too much trouble. My little dog was always thought of too with sausages or treats. Breakfast amazing variety and quality brilliant thoroughly enjoyable.

Review 102:The residents lounge is lovely and very convenient, so you dont feel trapped in your room, great when you have a small baby. Right on the beach, and parking is ok if you get a permit off the hotel. Lovely breakfast, would stay again, very good value on a Sunday evening.

Review 103:Room was a little tired. Stains on carpet, chipped paint and some dirt in bathroom. Nothing a little tidy up with paint, extra scrub, a rug and maybe a few cusions wouldn't solve though.

Review 104:Staff were excellent! Really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good; great selection, quality and amount. Brilliant location right on beachfront.

Review 105:Noise from deliveries early in the morning but it is to be expected when you're so close to everything - this had it's advantages too.

Review 106:The room was nice and clean, the bed very comfy. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were really helpful, particularly Michelle - thanks for a lovely stay!

Review 107:rooms need more attention, chipped and scuffed walls,no hangers in wardrobe, broken chest of drawers, crack in shower tray...reminded me more of a stop off for backpapers, don't expect any home comforts!

Review 108:Great location,in the centre of town,on the seafront and near all public transport

Review 109:The map provided for the street parking could have been clearer. It is a maze of narrow one-way streets so a slightly bigger map with the traffic direction on all the streets would have been helpful.

Review 110:Excellent room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, very nice breakfast

Review 111:It was pretty average overall. Rooms lacked care and attention, pillows were flat and the toast was the thinnest I have ever seen. No tea and coffee in the room which would have been preferable and no clear policy on rooms with pets. It's a bit gross not knowing if someone's dog has slept in your bed?! Really just average and it all felt a bit clinical.

Review 112:Location was excellent close to the beach and good coffee lounge with free wifi, mineral water and biscuits. Very clean overall.

Review 113:On the weekends it is really noisy outside if you leave the windows open. Staff were friendly but could have been more welcoming and approachable.

Review 114:Location was brilliant. Breakfast was really good. Clean and comfortable.

Review 115:In the summer the bedroom blinds are useless. They are white and don't fit the window and not of blackout material so woke at sunrise! Maybe supply some form of eye cover or put some proper blinds up! Weymouth bit too much of a a lads drinking culture for us!

Review 116:Friendly staff, breakfast and free coffee in lounge. Just across from the beach.

Review 117:We had not anticipated lack of parking. Permits were available but only if you pre arrange.

Review 118:Staff friendly, loved the communal lounge, great for us as a group of friends.

Review 119:Our room was directly next to the lounge where everybody had to in their to get there drinks,no tea and coffee in the rooms. Very noisy first thing in morning and could not relax and have a lie in .

Review 120:Would have been nice to have been told when booking in that there was tea, coffee etc in lounge.

Review 121:The staff very welcome, especially Michelle. The room was large and spacious for the dog to move around. Breakfast was excellent 10/10 really tasty.

Review 122:The accommodation was 'tired' - it would look much nicer for a repaint internally and tidy up externally. Rm.28 has a big gap at the bottom of the door...

Review 123:The location was great, the bed very comfortable, and the lady on Reception duties was very friendly.

Review 124:Noisy pub next door meant drunken laughter and shouting till closing time. No tea tray in room. Windows hard/impossible to open meant the room was too hot. Did not sleep well!!

Review 125:Easy to walk to shops, beach, quay and restaurants. Nicely cooked breakfast. Parking permit on request. We had a sea view room. Free water, tea, coffee and biscuits in the lounge. Free wi-fi.

Review 126:Six flights of steps! But chairs mid way if needed. Finding the place and where to pull in to collect parking permit were tricky.

Review 127:Upon arrival I was met at the door and given the parking permit and code for the door, and then on return were made very welcome. Plentiful 24hr tea and coffee, great veiw, nice wash kit, soft linens.

Review 128:Would of preferred net curtains under the blinds. I had to have the blinds shut all day and night as it was easy for people opposite, to see in. Felt uncomfortable. The towel heater in the bathroom was in a difficult place. Being a bigger girl, I couldn't sit on the toilet properly as the rail pressed against my leg...and it was hot! It's fine if you're skinny.

Review 129:Location, staff.

Review 130:Had a lovely time in Weymouth, thanks to this lovely b&b! Facilities were lovely, nice touch having a living room area with proper coffee machine! Room clean and fresh with everything we could need!

Review 131:The shower head wasn't the best and a lot of the water trickled down the pipe rather than through the head. There was some areas that could have been cleaner ie discoloured grout. There was just a black out blind in front on the window, which let light in around the blind.

Review 132:Friendly, welcoming staff. Modern rooms and facilities. Breakfast was cooked and served in the dining room and appeared to be good quality ingredients used.

Review 133:The only bad thing was the room they gave us . Room 5, was not cleaned, so they had to give us a new room, room 3, which was very nice,

Review 134:Its was all very nice

Review 135:They didn't supply any Trays in the room for Tea & Coffee. You had to go to the Lounge for a drink, this is fine in the day. A lot of people like to have a drink when they wake up in the morning so we went without.

Review 136:The location was excellent, also we had a top floor room with a fantastic Sea view.

Review 137:The location is right on the seafront which is excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice, beds comfortable. I would recommend.

Review 138:- Our room was a bit of an odd shape (room 12) found it hard to watch the TV whilst in bed...maybe think about getting a bigger tv and mount it on the wall? Or put it in the middle section. - Thin walls to the hallway - could hear everyone going to the other rooms. - Wifi dropped out a bit.

Review 139:- Staff really friendly. - Lovely lounge area - was good we could have breakfast in there with our doggie. - Bed comfy, clean linen. - Great location, right on the beach.
