Reviews for Domaine de Praterou

Review 1:There was nothing to dislike,

Review 2:Everything! The welcome, the hosts, the bed, the breakfast. Everything was way beyond our expectations, the best overnight stay we've ever experienced! Fabulous! Why aren't all places like this one! The hosts even sent us on our way with a flask of coffee & a bunch of their home produced onions,

Review 3:Did not take credit card, After I drove to a cash point (10 miles away) There was no one home to let us in. By accident the landlady's son was driving past and gave us the code to the front door, showed us our room. no towels in the room. After going out to dinner there was still no one home.Although very clean the room was very cluttered with antiques which meant getting out in the night with no lights on was an obstical coarse.

Review 4:Free car parking. Good Breakfast, Very clean.

Review 5:Nothing at all!!!!

Review 6:Fantastic place to stay, a little off the beaten track but worth it ( we got lost late at night in the dark and the hostess came out to guide us), fantastic service!!

Review 7:The property was not easy to find coming from the south-east on cycles. It is easier to find heading south on the coast road to Santec out of Roscoff.

Review 8:Extremely friendly host. Very quiet rural location. It's a very easy flat walk of about 30 mins into Roscoff.

Review 9:We booked 6 months prior arrival and we used the Booking.com function to ask if it was possible to check-in at 9.30 p.m., outside the check-in times, as we were arriving by ferry from Plymouth and they answered yes. When we arrived it was very hard to find the place, in the middle of the fields, with no street lamps and just one sign plate indicating the house (but we had to pass several forks). When we arrived they were half puzzled half disturbed about our late arrival and said "uh, les italiens...". The room smelled of cat pee, and this smell is quite unmistakable and very bothering (by the way, pets are not allowed). We were not given the wifi password upon arrival, but we found out it was the million-digit-code on a piece of paper laying on a small table in the living room. There was a paper saying that the price per night is 65€ and, even if we booked at 60€ (6 moths before, as mentioned), we were asked to pay the 65€ instead

Review 10:Very good breakfast: even if the jams were from a discount supermarket (I checked the label), we enjoyed the goat cheese and the bread, and also the setting was very peculiar. Our room was furnished in a particular way and we also had bathrobes. The collection of porcelains from all over Europe is very interesting. We were given a string of local onions as a gift, which we liked (even if we are still not sure whether if was a nice gift they give to all the guests or a compensation for the extra 5€ we paid)

Review 11:Somewhat difficult to find at first.

Review 12:Lovely property, clean and comfortable. The decor was quirky, very French but we loved it. Wonderful breakfast. Landlady very kind and helpful.

Review 13:Our hosts were brilliant and this was a very comfortable, well-situated b and b. The breakfast was fantastic- these people couldn't have done more for us!

Review 14:The signs to the location are poor from the main road. It needs to be clear that the B&B is up a narrow road or better still from the road just past Praterou.

Review 15:Excellent room with good bathroom could not fault the accommodation

Review 16:Hard to find the first time. The bed was slightly hard on my arthritic back.

Review 17:Hosts were very pleasant. Breakfast excellent. Nice to have a lounge with tea/coffee and books available.Peaceful location.Gift of onions on departure.

Review 18:The decor of the room is wonderful with quality furnishings. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The welcome and friendliness of the hosts was perfect. Though not easy to find, we would definitely return and recommend to others.

Review 19:Never got wi-fi to work, but that may have been a temporary problem.

Review 20:Cozy, friendly, family run B&B within walking distance from Roscoff if you like walking. Also a nice picnic area with a beautiful view just up the lane.

Review 21:In a beautiful, peaceful area, we found the people warm and friendly. A real contrast to Brittany's magnificent coastline, this place was like a Picasso painting charming inside and out. We were pampered by our lovely hosts. It was immaculately clean.

Review 22:Good breakfast for me, but nothing for my wife, as she is gluten intolerant, even though we warned the proprietor. No alternative to wheat products provided over 3 day stay. But a small complaint, in an otherwise excellent B&B

Review 23:Comfortable room, friendliness, lots of hot water!

Review 24:A bit difficult to find, partly due to no B&B sign due to recent high winds.

Review 25:Good welcome, warm comfortable room, good variety of foods for breakfast..

Review 26:Slightly difficult to find, arrive in daylight, then not a problem.

Review 27:Very close to Roscoff Ferry and very peaceful location. Very comfortable room and wonderful breakfast too. Owners were very hospitable.

Review 28:It's a bit difficult to find. I had driven all the way from Germany so probably wasn't at the top of my game, but to be fair, the husband came to find me.

Review 29:This really is a gorgeous B&B. Sadly, I only spent the night there before catching the ferry back to England, but the welcome was warm, the room comfortable and the breakfast excellent and generous. I would consider going back without the car and staying here to explore the area.

Review 30:The owners were great, they didn't speak much English & we didn't French but managed to communicate well. Great breakfast, they went to St. Pol for fresh bread & croissants on Sunday morning. We were given a string of onions as a gift which was a lovely touch. Would stay there again

Review 31:we had difficulty finding the house. We thought there could be more signage especially after you leave the main road. Only a small thing as everything else was perfect.

Review 32:the decor was exceptional , slightly colonial . The bedroom and the bed was very comfortable and plush. The attention to detail was amazing. The breakfast was most impressive including the gorgeous China delph. The owners could not have been more welcoming.

Review 33:A. Decor and furnishing were top quality. B. Bedding and toiletries as good as any place I have visited C. Attention to detail on breakfast and directions were again first class D. I do not see how previous assessments were 0.!!!

Review 34:The breakfast was very good and madam got up early for us. Without a sat-nav it is difficult to find the house but madam came in her car to meet us.

Review 35:Totally charming and first class decor, furnishing and ameneties.A quality stop over.

Review 36:period French décor absolutely stunning. friendly helpful staff. location.

Review 37:GREAT PLACE TO STAY ,MADE VERY WELCOME . CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR

Review 38:Location a bit remote, you can walk into Roscoff takes about 20 mins. 5 mins in car.

Review 39:Lovely little chambre d'hote, madam very friendly.

Review 40:A total French experience,great.

Review 41:very friendly owners, old fashioned romantic style, good breakfast
