Reviews for Les Airelles

Review 1:because of its great position you will hear drunk English singing if u need to open the window or door! Free karaoke:)

Review 2:Heart of the town and close to lifts! Nice size rooms Friendly staff Great breakfast

Review 3:The beds could be a little more comfortable - that's all

Review 4:Thank you once again for a wonderful stay. We love this hotel - our favourite thing is the food and the staff are absolutely amazing, thank you

Review 5:all good

Review 6:Staff very friendly and helpful. Good food and wine in restaurant - with French lessons :-). Interconnecting rooms. Space in the ski room for our bikes, off road parking. Central location.

Review 7:The furniture is old. They have to throw almost everything away to start all over again. They can keep the good things but they have to paint or polish it again. If they do so, the value for money will be a lot better.

Review 8:The location, the food

Review 9:Can get a bit noisy when night clubs finish, a bit hot in main hotel areas, didn't love eating by pool

Review 10:Excellent food, friendly staff, very central position easy walking to both lifts to Morzine and Avoriaz

Review 11:rooms were hot because of mild weather and when leaving windows open at night it was very noisy in the square just outside. This was when the bars and nightclubs closed.

Review 12:very friendly and efficient staff Comfortable rooms Very convenient for lifts and town

Review 13:Everything, The staff made you feel so welcome and at home, the food was amazing we had half bored and we were stuffed every day, the rooms were beautiful. 2 min walk from the slopes and right in the middle of the shops bars and restaurants, I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

Review 14:The furniture in the rooms could be updated. The sound insulation (front of building windows) could be improved. A curfew for the hotel bar would be a good idea.

Review 15:The staff are wonderful. The food is brilliant. The location for skiing is great. Will stay there again.

Review 16:Our room was at the front of the hotel right on the square which meant it was very noisy late at night if we kept the window open, which we like to do.

Review 17:The hotel is situated in the centre of Morzine within minutes of the skiing area.

Review 18:Staff very pleasant and helpful - especial thanks to manager Jeff who helped with our ski injury ! Hotel couldn't be closer to the centre. Food great (too much!) served by the most pleasant waitresses ever

Review 19:My daughter and I got food poisoning from the oysters in the buffet. We both threw up badly

Review 20:Great location. Great facilities & Great service. Food was excellent - with the exception of the seafood buffet - see comment

Review 21:The entire hotel was heated too highly for our entire stay. We had to sleep with the door open every night. There were several guests, including my son and myself, who became sick. Whether it was due to the food buffet or a sickness bug, the heat in the hotel would have made it a perfect breeding ground for bacteria to thrive :-/

Review 22:The helpfulness and professionalism of the staff

Review 23:We found the hotel was noisy if it wasn't other residents talking we could hear the lift and what I assume was the kitchen. It is bit strange eating by the pool. Our rooms smelt of smoke which was very unpleasant. Ok if you smoke of course!

Review 24:Location is really great, 5 minutes to lift and 1 minute to shops and bars, staff friendly, food is delicious and cost effective if you want to ski and know exactly what you are spending. At 5 courses for dinner you won't be hungry.

Review 25:nothing.

Review 26:Location - midway between both lifts rooms - refurbished showers - all new breakfast - large selection evening meal - excellent Staff - all very friendly

Review 27:A large group were staying in the hotel when we were there, often partying until 3am, they tried to get in our room, banging on doors, the hotel was not at all responsible for this but next time I book I will ask for a room away from block bookings - just in case :)

Review 28:We couldn't have been made more welcome, the staff were absolutely fantastic. The food was great and such variety, and you only had to say if you preferred something else. We will definitely be booking again for next year!! :)

Review 29:The welcome and staff were excellent and made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is centrally situated and convenient to everything; ski hire shop, lifts, bus stop and shops. We arrived late and our departure was late but the hotel was very accommodating. Would definitely go back again.

Review 30:This lovely building right in the center of Morzine has wonderfully helpful, friendly staff, excellent food and a charming atmosphere. I shall return and I recommend it to others. We stayed for a week from 16th July 2014, my wife and I and one of our daughters. Thank you Dominic Raeside

Review 31:Thanks dear Celine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review 32:The location od this hotel is excellent. It is right in the middle of Morzine and yet is spacious, light and colourful.

Review 33:ıt's center of city.

Review 34:Hot breakfast limited and same everyday

Review 35:Location and staff helpful

Review 36:we ate at the restaurant it was medium

Review 37:the location is great the staff are very kind , polite and helpful the breakfast is great!

Review 38:Family run, all the staff are very friendly and helpful, everyone is happy, spa area is amazing

Review 39:Slightly awkward hours of use of swimming pool

Review 40:Food, staff and cocktails

Review 41:3rd visit. Great food. Big pool for a hotel and lovely sauna/steam room area. Fantastic location. good parking facilities given we drove over.

Review 42:First review ever. Staff were great and went out of their way eg bringing us breakfast after hours etc! Great location

Review 43:Eating by the pool but not too bad

Review 44:Location, staff, food were all excellent

Review 45:Swimming pool was closed 7 -10pm

Review 46:Location, friendly and helpful staff

Review 47:our bed's comfort gave us both some discomfort in our backs.

Review 48:the staff were very polite and competant.

Review 49:Great location

Review 50:A fantastic hotel in a brilliant location in the centre of town opposite the tourist information centre. Just a short walk from the pleney lift. Very friendly & helpful staff. The food at this hotel was absolutely fantastic-5 wonderful courses for dinner all beautifully presented & top quality. Good sauna steam room & swimming pool. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Review 51:Not a case of didn't like it was just quite amusing that wherever anybody sat at breakfast, the waiter tutted and moved all of the excess cutlery and placemats to another table -

Review 52:As we are not skiers it was in the perfect position - as close as possible to all of the restaurants - shops and bus routes. The rooms were a very generous size, although we did not eat in the restaurant the menu looked excellent value compared to the restaurants in the town.

Review 53:Make sure you ask for a room with a bath if that's your preference. Overall, you get what you pay for - It's a bit pricey but worth every penny!

Review 54:Very close to le Pleney lift, and the main bars. Virtually ski back to the hotel. Great staff and fabulous food. Overall a wonderful getaway!

Review 55:We had some noisy neighbours - only early evening thankfully. Also all the doors make a lot of noise when closing. Same for wardrobe doors. This noise did transmit loudly into our room but thankfully not late at night,

Review 56:Location was great, food excellent, staff excellent

Review 57:Ask for a quiet room if you are a light sleeper as the square can be noisy at night.

Review 58:Central location for the town and good position for the ski lift, reception was very welcoming. Good choice of food with options available and great breakfast.

Review 59:Bit overpriced Needs a facelift. Does not have two restaurants as advertised but one and an overspill area around the pool. The parasols are not for the tropical effect but to prevent condensation dripping onto your table. Your clothes will smell of chlorine. Not 50m from the lifts but 350m. Food acceptable but service very slow.

Review 60:Half of the dining space is around the pool which compromises both use/ enjoyment of the pool and dining with the smell of chlorine.

Review 61:Location very close to the lifts Good service by staff Fair prices

Review 62:had a room at the front this year and there is some noice from the late night activities of one or two, but only lasted a short time aprox 10 mins between 2am and 3am,(probably should of been out there with them)

Review 63:We stayed here last year and again we were very happy with everything especially the quality of the food at dinner, also the location is second to none!

Review 64:The cold buffet starter looked tired. The rooms at the front are very noisy,

Review 65:Enjoyed the majority of the food, freshly prepared entrees and mains were excellent, very tasty and varied. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 66:No variation in breakfast menu. Safe didn't work. Wine over priced and a la carte meals expensive also. Noise outside and from a big party that arrived during our stay.

Review 67:Location, pool and sauna appreciated after a day on the slopes. Staff very helpful

Review 68:My only real problem, which wasn't the fault of the hotel, was the noise from the extremely thoughtless people who insisted on shouting and having snow ball fights in the square underneath our balconies at 3 am!

Review 69:We liked almost everything! I went with trepidation after reading some reviews but we were really pleased with our rooms, the food was superb with a magnificent buffet for starters, we couldn't eat the 5 courses as we were so full.

Review 70:Limited hanging space in the bedroom. Inefficient hairdryer - take your own! On occasions there was an unacceptable delay between starter and main course at dinner - possible teething problem being the first week of the winter ski season.

Review 71:Located right in the central square close to bars and restaurants with excellent access to Pleney Lift. Has its own ski and boot storage room so no need to leave skis at base station as its only a few minutes walk away. Food excellent - six courses if you want.

Review 72:Pics of hotel were not up-to-date ! Staff were friendly but did got go out of their way to be worth the extra room fee. Food not advisable for children very fancy. Old hotel needs a refit

Review 73:Clean but cluttered Great Ski locker room

Review 74:Thee first room we were in the traditional Heidi beds looked lovely butreally creaked and kept us awake! The manager changed rooms for us thenext day and these were comfortable

Review 75:Manager was very good he was efficient and friendly

Review 76:Unfortunetly the town of Morzine is almost a "British Enclave" and the manners that my fellow countrymen and women used towards the local French hoteliers and restauranteurs was at best poor!

Review 77:The hotel and staff were fantastic. the situation was terriffic. The breakfast was very good and we used the hotel restaurant for one of our evening meals and that too was first class and good value for money. This is a great hotel to stay in. If I were to return to Morzine I would use it again!

Review 78:The hotel has a German Shepherd dog which is free-roaming and twice during our stay toileted in the gym and the ski store room. The pool was often not very clean also which took away from the luxury of a swim after a day skiing. The room also does not come with a kettle or any facilities for making a drink other than water which meant you have to purchase from the hotel which can be pricey.

Review 79:The hotel staff were very friendly and willing to help. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean with a beautiful view across Morzine. The hotel is perfectly situated with a 5 minute walk to the slopes and an excellent ski hire shop opposite. The hotel also has a pool, sauna and steam room to unwind after a day on the slopes.

Review 80:Would have liked the sun to shine a few more days but i don't think the staff could do much about that ;)

Review 81:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and radiators could be adjusted to your requirements. The restaurant food was 1st class and we even had breakfast in bed as an added luxury. The location is ideal for ski lifts and shops, bars etc. It is expensive but worth it if you want to spoil yourself. Would stay here every time we visit morzine if we can.

Review 82:Rooms at the front of the hotel have amazing views over mountains andtown square but can be noisy at night.

Review 83:Excellent food, very comfortable rooms, 2 minutes away from piste andaprès ski bars

Review 84:Rooms slightly dated but comfortable, breakfast could have had more choice.

Review 85:The location of the hotel was perfect for our skiing holiday with both ski lifts for both sides of the town being within easy walking distance. The thing that stood out the most was the five course dinner which you could not fail to be impressed with either on quantity and or quality makeing les Airelles seem good value for money.

Review 86:Poor quality pillows. With a little effort the rooms could be made more homely.

Review 87:Friendly staff, excellent food, good spa, good location, good sized room.

Review 88:Old rooms, where you can hear everything what is happening next door. Smell of sweat in the room. The balcony door was broken and you could not open it purperly to get fresh air or close it in order not to hear anything from the outside. Breakfast was poor and served directly at the pool, despite restaurant availability. I do not recommend this hotel for longer than one night, if nothing else is available. For this price there are much better places in the area.

Review 89:Location

Review 90:Some of the decor is a little dated, but this is a very minor criticism.

Review 91:We booked this hotel relatively late via booking.com for a 6 night last minute trip to the Alps. The main reason we booked it was that we could book for 6 nights and it didn't have to be Saturday to Saturday ans also the fact that they offered a half board deal which looked like pretty good value. We were not disappointed.... Yes, some of the decor is a little dated and old fashioned, however for us this just added to the quaint charm of this family run hotel. Our bathroom was brand new so I think that they have done some refurbishment work recently. The leisure facilities were great with a brand new Sauna and hammam and a more than adequate pool. The communal facilities, like the bar and restaurant were cosy and charming and full of french charm. The room was brilliant and the largest I have had in a French ski hotel. The location is perfect and couldn't be more in the heart of the village, opposite the ice skating rink and main tourist centre. It was a two minute walk to the main Morzine lift and 5 minutes to the telecabine up to Avoriaz. The highlights though were the staff and the food. The staff were completely friendly, curtious and helpful and the food was absolutely faultless throughout. When you book a half board package (which I rarely do), you expect the food to be average at best and this was the complete oppostite. Every night we were greated by a 5 course menu of french and european delights, with some amazing French produce and cheeses to die for. The hardest bit was find enough room to fit it all in! Also if you didn't like the menu on any night you could have Fondue or Raclette instead of the fish and meat course at no extra cost. The menu's were both varied and interesting and the wine good value. I cannot rate this highly enough for a half board package. We loved the whole experience and the only reason we wanted to come home at the end was to loose some weight! We went as a couple, however they were very child friendly too.

Review 92:Sometimes noisy outside during the night, but worth it for the central location.

Review 93:Family run, comfortable & attractive hotel situated in the centre of town. Food and service was excellent.

Review 94:Noise from apres-ski revellers passing in the night, as so central (notHotel's fault). Sheets were scratchy, pillows a bit harsh, although roomlovely bed perfectly comfy. Lounge area a bit limited, just a couple ofchairs near the fire which are always taken. Bar area is out-dated (liketrain seats, benches, not the best after a day's skiing!). And veryexpensive, but then comparable to others in resort. Would return.

Review 95:Central location, great service, lovely new spa area

Review 96:Can't think of anything

Review 97:The room was spacious, clean and staff helpful and friendly. From a sking purspective it is ideally located. We stayed on half-board and the food can only be described as outstanding. Dinner was beautifully presented and some of the most delicious food i have eaten. I would not hesitate to stay at Les Airrelles again.

Review 98:Everything. It was still of season so not a lot of visitors. Relax and very quiet.
