Reviews for Inter-Hotel Alton-Bordeaux Mériadeck
Review 1:The WIFI was really too bad to do anything. The room was huge, but no good chair to sit, just big empty space. Not pleasant to stay. A towel had a blood stain. The kitchenette was old and the refrigerator was very noisy.
Review 2:location was great for my reason to stay in Bordeaux. My room at the back of the hotel was very quiet. The parking is nice.
Review 3:Beds are small and not very comfortable. Wifi isn't strong. Room had a small kitchen but no cups, plates, dishes or tea making facilities so the kitchen was a bit pointless.
Review 4:Although it was a bit out of town, the tram system 2 mins from hotel was good and reliable.
Review 5:We had an apartment which could be used as self catering, however, no Kettle to make any drinks with. No Air Conditioning meant the humid night was almost unbearable until the rain came.
Review 6:Excellent location for Bordeaux Centre. Tram Station directly outside, and 10 minutes ride. Only cost 2 euros each way too.
Review 7:Staff not confident with English Super noisy fridge, had to disconnect it! Snotty chap at reception (Bordeaux) would really benefit from some customer service tutoring.
Review 8:Very late booking option, decent price considering the urgency
Review 9:We paid for a preimum room and were given a very basic room although our booking was made 6 months in advance. The pictures of the hotel do not reflect is true condition, which is old and in need updating
Review 10:As a family of 5 it was great to have a connected room with three separate beds for each of the children that were big enough for luggage and more. The hotel was right next to the tram stop to get into town, easy cheap parking underneath and only 10 minutes from the air port by car. Staff were all very helpful and spoke great English. The price was also very reasonable and the room was clean and tidy with hot water whenever we needed a shower.
Review 11:The wifi was temperamental. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The bathroom was very poor quality.
Review 12:The best part about my stay here was the tram stop just outside the hotel. It gave you access to the city which was very simple to find.
Review 13:There's no Wifi on constantly. Although it was free. There's no tea making facility in the room. Both are important and posed a big problem for oversea business travellers. Rooms are similar to a hospital ward so don't too expect much. Clean but out dated on style.
Review 14:The hotel was situated on the Saint Auguston tram line , 20mins from Gare Saint Jean train station.
Review 15:Went to the bar. They only had boxed wine, and not much of that. Being France, very bad.
Review 16:Staff, especially reception were more than helpful, and very kind. Restaurant, good. Perfect waiter. Efficient and attentive. Lovely.
Review 17:The hotel wasn't what I expected the beds weren't very comfortable and very small also the pillows were very hard. No facilities for making a drink, even though the rooms have a sink and cooker, (I think payment is required) we were allowed to use the fridge.
Review 18:The breakfasts and the hotel is near the tram to Bordeaux.
Review 19:The room was clean but it had that smell old rooms have. The layout of the room was really intrincate ( probably cause it is a refurbished hotel ) and the bed clothes were really old.
Review 20:70 eur pero night is okay Nice staff
Review 21:As I couldn't remember whether breakfast was included in the rate, I asked at reception. They said it was. It wasn't! Not worth the price charged.
Review 22:The tram. The huge room. The WiFi which we weren't charged for!
Review 23:Hotel Restaurant closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Breakfast facilities spartan; coffee poor
Review 24:Relatively cheap, friendly and efficient staff, close to tram stop connecting to the town.
Review 25:We expected no luxury, but this hotel was disappointing. The beds in twin room were very narrow and not comfortable. There was a kitchenette but not equipment in it (even not a cup or glass). We wanted to cooperate with the eco-friendly policy and hung the towels in the bathroom, but they were moved to shower wall, so we didn't know anymore which belongs to whom. The stuff had difficulty to speak English and they were not able to help us with the tram time table. The hallways were dark and whole place looks very outdated.
Review 26:The location is quite good in the middle between the airport and city center. Easy access by public transport. Free WiFi.
Review 27:Annoyed at having to pay for the car park- if you're already paying for a room, this should really be included.
Review 28:Perfect for what we needed, just one night in Bordeaux with my bridesmaids shopping. Nothing fancy, but does the job.
Review 29:Lack of WiFi connectivity in room, bed sloped to middle and a lack of bathroom materials. More has been provided in other hotels and for far less the cost. Not good value for money. Very heavily supported by tour groups who are in and out overnight.
Review 30:The reception staff manner was outstanding. Pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful.
Review 31:Very disappointing, upon our 9.45pm arrival we were told there was no food available only overpriced crisps and peanuts. The hotel was very dark and very dated unlike the advertised photos. Our room on entering had a terrible smell, the future and decor I'm sure hadn't been replaced since the early 80s and the walls were sticky!!!. Very disappointing start to our holiday and completely over priced only glad we were passing through!
Review 32:Leaving
Review 33:We mentioned we had a roofbox, but couldnt get in the hotel carpark. there is however safe on street parking and the staff were very helpful telling us how to park. Roofboxes in France are always a problem...
Review 34:booked a room for 4 and ended up with an apartment. Lovely relaxing gardens and balcony.
Review 35:Convenient to hospital Pelegrin Reception very helpful. Restaurant very good
Review 36:For an Apartment Hotel room has no utensils what so ever. Not even a couple of glasses.
Review 37:The brilliant staff do make up for all shortfalls.
Review 38:!!!! situation normale
Review 39:l'emplacement
Review 40:Cold hostel, lack of amenity
Review 41:Friendly staff and clean hostel
Review 42:When we arrived we were greeted at reception with a very friendly female. She was extremely helpful
Review 43:A bit far from city center but can you easily take the Tramway just in front of the Hotel.
Review 44:location, far from the city center, uncomodortable beds, very simple furniture
Review 45:Very Clean rooms
Review 46:So friendly and Pleasant staff. Clean and tidy rooms.
Review 47:Poor location. Lamp did not work. Bed not comfortable. Zink loose. Unable to get a taxi
Review 48:Nice staff
Review 49:The beds!
Review 50:not very clean bad smell in the room, and no way for changing the room breakfast is expensive regarding the proposed food
Review 51:Everything
Review 52:Tram stop outside
Review 53:Wifi is tooooooo bad Breakfast is not good
Review 54:Kitchen and room decor was dated and a bit dirty.
Review 55:The location is perfect. The beds were very comfortable and felt new and fresh.
Review 56:The bed was very uncomfortable
Review 57:The young man on reception was exceptional in his service
Review 58:Needs airconditioning

Review 62:Nothing
Review 63:Ambiance, location close to tram.
Review 64:limited restaurant menu
Review 65:breakfast, location close to tram
Review 66:Easy to find, and on a main route between the airport & Bordeaux centre. Large family room
Review 67:Dark corridors and dated decor
Review 68:location and spacious well equipped rooms
Review 69:Bed in room 112 requires replacement as it has a large sag in the middle resulting in a very uncomfortable sleep.
Review 70:Easy access to trams. Walking distance to Stadium.
Review 71:Good roadside parking, tram stop outside hotel takes you straight to the heart of Bordeaux in 10 mins. Nice tidy rooms with helpful staff. We will use the hotel again !
Review 72:A bit of dormitory atmosphere. But acceptable for me.
Review 73:You should not expect this facility too much like luxury apartment/hotel. It is very simple and not new but clean, comfortable and very close to tram station. There was no problem during my stay and I like it.
Review 74:Nickel and dimed to death - hotel taxes, expensive breakfast, fees for kitchen utensils. The room wasn't cleaned every day.
Review 75:Large rooms with kitchenette
Review 76:No safe in the room. No safety handrails in the bathroom and no non slip in the bath. Breakfast was a disaster, 1 person on reception & dining room and a coach party leaving.
Review 77:On the main tram route into the city. Room basic but clean.
Review 78:Restaurant was not open and nothing locally opened. This was not stated at the time of booking and as travelling with young children, we would not have chosen this hotel should we have known. Beds were very uncomfortable. Lights were difficult to find in the hallways.
Review 79:Helpful receptionist
Review 80:This hotel was not as advertised, it is not in Meriadick but much further out, if we had known this we would not have booked it, I trust booking.com so I think you should not put Meriadick in title of hotel.
Review 81:The location is very poor especially for those travelling by train. You have to take the tramway and have a change to reach the hotel from the train station, which will take about 20 to 30 minutes.
Review 82:The room for 3 persons is big with 3 separate beds.
Review 83:Corridors were dark you had to press a button to activate lights, but as there was no light at all finding the button was ridiculous, bathroom was dated and room was fair
Review 84:The bed was like at amry...and the price horrific compared to the verypoor level of this hotel - I was very upset an if I could have foundanother place I would have left this hotel immediately...but because ofvinexpo everything was overbooked...
Review 85:Staff was friendly
Review 86:Staff are not ready to listen to English
Review 87:Quiet room, if you request it, otherwise you will be given room by the stree that you can be disturbed by noise of the trams.
Review 88:I thought the rooms were dated and beds rather uncomfortable for the price of the hotel.
Review 89:Excellent for travel into the city. There is a team stop right outside the hotel
Review 90:- The staff was friendly, available and very nice - The room and facilities were very clean - Good size for a single room - Nice decoration and from my window there was a garden - Good breakfast
Review 91:A matter of choice I guess. But the dark maroon paint of the corridors and doors to the bedrooms was a bit forbidding and it was difficult to find the light switches.
Review 92:Despite being in the city it was absolutely tranquil. Close to the hospital for visiting .
Review 93:Price: a bit too expensive for what it offers.
Review 94:Very conveniently located for the University Hospital - opposite it's side entrance. Excellent tram link to the centre. Car Park spacious and secure.

Review 104:Very large room for my family. Good relation price/confort
Review 105:It was quite expensive for what it offers.
