Reviews for Teneo Apparthotel Bordeaux

Review 1:We arrived after 9:04 pm. The reception had left four minutes ago, but a sign at the door gave us a phone number to contact the central office. They had no information about the parking for the car, nor could do anything to let us in (we had reserved a place for the car), so we had to park it in the street. Nevertheless, they said they were going to change the procedure.

Review 2:We liked the location and the comfort at the room.

Review 3:Spacious room, enough packing space or to sit and enjoy a coffee or read or work on your computer. 5 minute walk from main station to the rest of the world and buses on the doorstep going into Bordeaux centre.

Review 4:Very unfriendly staff at the reception. Room, a junior suite, very unpersonal, cold, horrible decoration. It is more a Hostle type. Worst experience I ever had in a Hotel

Review 5:no 24 hour service at the front desk; large black tank directly over the toilet on which I bumped my head many times!

Review 6:Good hotel and decent accommodations for the money; right on bus line and close walk to a major tram/train/bus station

Review 7:Room 501 : The metal water tank is immediately above the loo and painted black like the wall so you are bound to hit your head sooner or later and it hurts!

Review 8:Easy and cheap for concert goers

Review 9:5 minutes from the main station and the airport shuttle. !0 mins walk into the very lively centre of Bordeaux or catch public transport right outside. Basic rooms but that's okay with us.

Review 10:Location is not the best in terms of safety at night (but that's not the hotels fault)

Review 11:Very helpful staff. Softspoken and pleasant(unlike the ones that you find in cheap hotels) Large and clean rooms.

Review 12:The kitchen could have been better equipped, we could have liked coffee and tea making equipment.

Review 13:Close to railway station, and public transport Friendly people in the reception.

Review 14:Smelt a little of cigarette smoke

Review 15:Convenience to both the train station and city centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly Room was very comfortable and clean

Review 16:With windows open due to the lack of A/C, it was very noisy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Neighbourhood was quite challenged. Poor value for money!

Review 17:There is smoking option on the Internet, but when we arrived there they said smoking is not allowed. And they have smoking rooms when you check on the net! They have free WiFi. But only for one device at the room. U can't use WiFi for pc and cell phone at your room!!

Review 18:Location

Review 19:Next time I book a hotel I will read the reviews made by other customersfirst. In the case of this hotel, they were right: it's not worththe money... At all!!! The rooms dont look like they show in the photos-they were probably taken years ago. Our room was old and not wellcleaned (dust and stains everywhere, specially on doors and floors). Thetoilet was really ugly and small. There was a huge boiler painted inblack and almost no water pressure in the shower. The kitchen was tinyand it looked like it had been used for ages (oil stains everywhere): wewere planning to cook there in order to save money, but we decided toeat outdoors as the facilities wouldnt motivate us. We felt like in adirty student flat. The double bed was comfortable though, but I gotsuspicious bites on my arms which didnt look like the ones you get froma mosquito. We only got a big and a small towel for 2 people for 4 days.We asked for another set and we were lucky we got the nice receptionistthen -the other one was unfriendly, rude, grumpy and helpless: I wonderwhy she's working there. By the way, the reception is not open 24hours, so make sure you arrive there when there's someone -hopefullythe nice receptionist. The location is good if you want to be close tothe train / bus station, but the area is not very nice: it seems abit dangerous at night. The lift didn't work for one day. In short,if you are looking for some nice accommodation in Bordeaux, don'tstay here.

Review 20:The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable

Review 21:It was more of an apartment letting than an apartment hotel . Staff at reception didn't seem to know when rooms would be cleaned , said this had nothing to do with them? Wifi was limited to one device and was Unreliable . Rooms were small. Limited self catering facilities and space

Review 22:The price was reasonable . It was located beside a depot for the Bordeaux bikes you can hire. 'Vcub'

Review 23:The laundry stank so bad we could not even go into the room, much less use it. Did not get cleaned during the four days we were there.

Review 24:Great location, close to train, trams, airport bus, supermarkets.

Review 25:During our stay in July it was too hot at night and there was no air-condition. There were also too many mosquitoes and the quality of our sleep was too poor.

Review 26:- Family rooms are not OK: no door between the 2 rooms, no isolation between the rooms. - self catering facility were minimal, no salt/peper, no instant coffe, hearbal tea, etc. - the liquide vaisselle was poured in a plastic cup, not in a proper container: can be dangerous

Review 27:Location is good, parking as well

Review 28:Wifi for only 1 device for a family of 4. No air conditioning No electric fan Towels too thin Not enough toilet paper Washing machine/dryer did. It have clear instructions. Reception hours should be more

Review 29:Nothing

Review 30:bed just ok , kitchenette was very stocked, limited utensils for cooking we had a very hot room

Review 31:handy location to train station, laundromat, supermarket and trams to centre of town , bus stop to airport across the road room adequate, however not the most up market area

Review 32:We arrived late at night and could not contact reception as it was closed. Got entry details from another Teneo hotel and gained access fine from then. On street parking started at 9am.

Review 33:Clean, spacious apartment. Basic but perfect for short stay. Good location.

Review 34:The neighborhood seemed a bit run down and dangerous (one late night we saw three punks beating up a man in the park nearby). We lacked air conditioner in the room, and with open window it's too much noise. Hotel's WiFi policy is one-device per room which is WEIRD.

Review 35:Teneo was smart choice from the budget perspective. Also, its location was important for us because of the proximity of the railway station.

Review 36:Not a 1 bedroom apartment, as advertised. Simply a studio with two beds. Room was very hot, uncomfortable and in need of an update this millenium.

Review 37:Close to Train Station. Looked after bags.

Review 38:Location is absolutely not safe and very noisy. There is no cleaning service. No people on reception in the evening and you can not reach them by phone. Weird WiFi politics - you can not connect 2 devices. The bed is higher from one side then another. Elevator was not working one day.

Review 39:Price

Review 40:The in-house WiFi allowed only one device to be connected (and only the first one connected is permitted for rest of stay). No prior notification of this on website or upon reception. Too bad if you expected to log on with multiple devices (whether simultaneously or not).

Review 41:Convenient enough location for accessing the old city. The efficient, accessible public transport system (underground and tram) is an excellent for locals and visitors alike. Bordeaux is a great visitor-friendly city!!

Review 42:The room had basic kitchen facilities, few more cutlery could have been handy and perhaps a kitchen towel and a dust pan and brush would have been useful.

Review 43:We liked the location. Easy to find and close to public transports and supermarkets. If you like walking town centre within 15 mins of distance. The room was clean and the staff friendly.Had choice to cook our own food.

Review 44:Easy stay for me and my young son, spacious room with kitchenette, good wifi access, location was also good as close to train station, tram stop and university area

Review 45:The location was maybe not in the nicest area in bordeaux, but we had no problems. Staff also didn't clean the room each day.

Review 46:The family suite was spacious for 4 people. The staff spoke English well. It was in a good location - close to train station and a walkable distance to the ccentre, with the option of taking a tram. There was a bike hub right across the street too, which was great. Great to have the kitchen too, which allowed us to cook meals a couple of times.

Review 47:Broken lift. Not great when you're on the third floor. TV remote not working. Couldn't be bothered reporting this. Wi Fi arrangemenys

Review 48:Parking, Convenient for railway station

Review 49:You cannot enter the building if you arrive before 15h00 - it's simply closed, no one pick up the phone mentioned at the entrance door. Decoration inside was quite depressing. The shower didn't work very well. District around the train station St Jean (even if the hotel is 7-8 min walk from the station) is ugly and dirty. The pillows were not comfortable (they put 2 pillows in one pillow case to make them better, hmmm...)

Review 50:Price was ok, it was available for last minute booking. The room is quite big

Review 51:if you stay less than 3 days, there is no housekeeping (no cleaning, no new amenities for bathroom etc...)

Review 52:location is good, very close to tramway price is fair enough the room is spacious enough

Review 53:We were mystified by the parking arrangements. The receptions explanations were very confusing.

Review 54:It was just a short walk to the venue for the concert. The room was nice and quiet.

Review 55:neighbourhood does give you a very secure feeling, although nothing have had happened

Review 56:Cleanliness, Comfort, proximity to train station and tramway line

Review 57:Only negative is the car park as it doesn't connect to the hotel.

Review 58:Location and the ideal facilities in the room. We could make a lot more than just tea. We made supper as well. The car was safe in the car park as we were travelling between our 2 houses.

Review 59:Location - sex shops / strip clubs nearby, intimidating neighbourhood at night Horrible shower room Not a good choice with children

Review 60:Proximity to train & tram station Secure parking (additional cost) Size of accommodation Price Adequate base for a couple of nights from which to explore Bordeaux

Review 61:Wifi poor réception and only allow to 2 connections per room. Pillows are so soft, can't sleep with it. Interior decoration in rooms are so simple: there is nothing. we were in junior suit 314, thought it will be better than standard room but quite opposite, so depressing. I would advise people to go somewhere else if they can while in Bordeaux.

Review 62:Location near train station staffs kind

Review 63:- The area in which the apartment is located is not the nicest of areas to stay at. - Staff are correct but could have been friendlier.

Review 64:- There is a parking next to the apartments (15 euros per day, aprox). - The size of the apartment is OK to spend a couple of nights and it is quite near to the town centre.

Review 65:No free parking if you travel by car. The parking is gated, 8 euro per day. The location of the hotel is downtown where it's impossible to park for free. The room service is once in 3 days, so save your towels. Only one wi-fi password issued per room regardless of the number of people/devices in the room.

Review 66:Location is good. There is an elevator. The suite consisted of two rooms with a kitchenette. General size of the rooms. Nice choice for the breakfast, the price is fair, 7.50 euro per person. Front desk staff is professional. Hotel is not noisy. Warm rooms. Nice view from the windows. Comfortable beds with clean sheets. Ask for the wi-fi password at front desk, Internet connection is good.

Review 67:Location for everything, parking underground, helpful knowledgeable staff, kitchenette and fridge meant you could self cater as required, quiet, good nights sleep, comfy beds

Review 68:Location was excellent. Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was clean and cleaned daily. In the heart of the Uni, Arabic and African areas so a huge variety of restaurants.

Review 69:The unhelpful and rude reception staff. I guess they don't pay them enough and definitely not for the hours between 12 and 2 pm so don't bother showing up at that time. The good thing is that they warn you about it (the midday closure) but if you are jet lagged, tired and with an irritable child it's horrible not to be able to get to your room. The area is not nice to walk at night, I wouldn't do it had I been travelling on my own as a woman but the municipal police told us that it wasn't 'really' unsafe, and we did see many young families with babies there during the day (although there are some sex shops around that open at night) so I guess it's an 'up and coming' area. But at those prices it's a clean and affordable place from where to explore the city.

Review 70:The family suite (402) because of the extra space for our child to sleep. Closeness to the centre of Bordeaux, easy links to the centre by bus (16). The parking (at 8 euro per day) is safe and your car is protected for the whole day. Parking in central areas of Bordeaux is too expensive to even consider.

Review 71:On noisy street, no air-conditioning so had to keep windows open.

Review 72:Very convenient to Gare de Jean, helpful staff, very nice breakfast choices, very clean.

Review 73:I didn't enjoy the walk, in darkness, between the train station and the apparthotel. It is a very seedy area. Nor did I enjoy the fact that the wifi signal carried no sound

Review 74:Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper - there is traffic noise that might annoy you. It was warm but not possible to have the windows open because of the traffic.

Review 75:The hotel is close to the station and it was great having an apartment rather than just a hotel room. It was fairly basic, but clean and big enough for three of us.

Review 76:Room had a funny smell, not given an option to change it.NoA/C,which meant we had to have windows open:not great on 4th floor with a 4 yo, this was also very noisy as it was the weekend. Kitchen facilites awful!!

Review 77:The washstand at the the toilet is not flowing..so there was always a little lake..and there is a big water heating unit in the toilet. You should take attention, not to injure your head.

Review 78:It is a just below the normal hotel room..Room is not bad..wifi is good..elevator is fast :)

Review 79:Bathroom was tiny and the walls were a little thin so we could hear a bit of noise from the other apartments.

Review 80:We wanted an apartment close to the train station so we could walk. It wasn't a hugely nice area, but still felt safe. There was a supermarket close by so cooking was easy. Kitchen equipment was a bit limited but adequate for putting together a simple meal. The apartment was quite a good size apart from the small bathroom.

Review 81:The bathroom is quite small, over the WC is the hot water tank, at shoulder height and painted black. It's quite clever, you don't notice it until you hit your head on it opening or closing the seat. Not the way to start the day!

Review 82:We arrived late, reception was closed, a phone call gave us clear information for access and also an email had been send with the details how to access the room. Appreciated. Facilities in the room were great for an overnight stop. It's a practical base to use, works well.

Review 83:There is just one WiFi conexion available per room. Plus, if you are bringing along your bike, you are going to be extra-charged for that. Besides, bikes are kept in a public garage under poor conditions. Thanks God, there were no burglars meandering through the neighbourhood that night.

Review 84:Overall, we can say that it is a nice place whether you are just passing-through the city, like we were doing. Even though we did not chat that much with the staff running the front desk, they appear to be friendly people.

Review 85:Not being welcomed despite having arranged for a late arrival and arriving at the agreed time - took some time to work out where our key had been left. Smell of paint/disinfectant throughout

Review 86:Breakfast good Slept well

Review 87:Television in wrong location, couldn't see it all while sitting on the bed. TV didn't work the last day and night I was there. The desk person left at 6pm? and I got home at 7:30pm

Review 88:Close to station Good bathroom Good little kitchenette had elevator

Review 89:The hot water service was above the toilet and was hazardous as you would hit your head on it. The vanity tap wasn't over the basin so water would splash out. Our shower head wouldn't stay up and the toilet wouldn't flush on day two.

Review 90:The wifi was good.

Review 91:Only thing that was not the best was the location, it had a supermarket near by but it also had bars and a strip club closer, so not quite ideal for those who travel with children

Review 92:Water heater in bathroom was directly over toilet. Bathroom was also very dark.

Review 93:Close to walk to/from Gare Bordeaux St Jean. Easy check-in. Good sized, light room.

Review 94:The area wasn't great and I arived just as the reception was closing. Not sure i would have rated or liked the hotel if not been able to park the bike securely which was only able to be arranged with reception staff !

Review 95:The hotel was ok, with a comfortable room that was clean and spacious

Review 96:Quite noisy and stuffy if windows closed, quite a bit in need of repair, shower, hand basin, table etc.

Review 97:Location within walking distance of Bordeaux old town. While a fairly low standard hotel, it did serve a purpose, it was value for money and provided basic accomodation for us as we required.

Review 98:No 24h reception, only 1 wifi password per room (so only 1 device can connect to Internet), it's a little far from the city center

Review 99:Spacious apartment, friendly staff

Review 100:Loudly at friday & saturday's nights (drunk studs) Nothing

Review 101:Elevator (Schnider?) Room (we had the smallest) Accodation Reception Check-in|out TBC & Gare features (within 2-3 mins)

Review 102:Area surrounding the hotel was very dodgy, too far from centre of Bordeaux. Bathroom had a very unpleasant smell. No air conditioning or fan - it was 38 degrees when I stayed. Could open the window but was on noisy road.

Review 103:Located close to the train station. Good facilities.

Review 104:The lighting was quite poor, a large water tank right above the toilet made access difficult.

Review 105:There was a lift. Good proximity between our apartment which we were leaving, the railway station and other public transport routes around Bordeaux.

Review 106:The hotel was in a very busy location and the streets were very loud. But in fairness we were in a room facing the street and Algeria played (and lost) a soccer match that night and the crowds were loud very late into the night. We would have attempted to change rooms, but the front desk clerk was gone by 9:00 p.m. Also the keypad code did not work, so after dinner we stood in front of the door for about 10 minutes until someone who was staying in the hotel was able to call her friend to let the 4 of us in.

Review 107:The price was very fair

Review 108:Close to everything

Review 109:satisfied again

Review 110:Clean and adequate and value for money

Review 111:Liked everything

Review 112:Friendly and helpful reception, easy walk from station, fairly quiet. Comfortable room, small but adequate bathroom.

Review 113:A lot of noise, mainly from drunk students passing by at night and early morning.

Review 114:The place is near downtown.

Review 115:Breakfast was poor value for money. No kettle in kitchen area

Review 116:Spacious room, clean

Review 117:Very clean room, great location. Excellent value for money.

Review 118:Shower room is small and I hit a several times my head to water tank.

Review 119:Secured car parking Cleaness Price

Review 120:Reception was closed until 3:00pm on our day of arrival.

Review 121:Good location: near to train station, convenient transport to town center.

Review 122:The hotel were renewed recently, everything was new and clean. The kitchenette was well equiped as well. Next to the main train station.

Review 123:One wifi code per room.

Review 124:Location and staff great!

Review 125:Walking to train station. Lundromat and grocery store within a block.

Review 126:Excellent value for money! Would certainly recommend!

Review 127:Street noise but could be expected due to being close to the train station

Review 128:No electricity, will never go back

Review 129:Staff was nice

Review 130:large spotless rooms. mega value for money. We didnt cook as only there one night, but if we were there longer, the kitchen was great
