Reviews for Appart'City Bordeaux Centre

Review 1:The single beds seemed narrower than a standard single bed.

Review 2:This accomodation was clean and very well equipped. The shower was spacious and powerful. The tram system made the location very accessible.

Review 3:The room was too small for three people. The furniture are old fashioned. The bathroom was nothing special. The service doesn't exist, you have to pay 2 euros per day for the wireless. The staff is not so helpful, they don't speak in English! The breakfast is too expensive!

Review 4:The position of the Apartment is really good to get the tram and go to the centre. It takes just 15 minutes to arrive to the centre.

Review 5:I was surprised that I would have to pay an extra 16 euro if I wanted the room to be cleaned / change of linen

Review 6:Friendly and helpful staff. Fairly close to a tram stop which made it easy to get about.

Review 7:It was not possible to use the internet with the wifi connection at the time not sure why.

Review 8:There was plenty of space. It was clean and comfortable The staff were friendly and helpful The breakfast was good for the start of the day Really enjoyed staying at Appart City Bordeaux Centre useful base for exploring Bordeaux.

Review 9:- Wifi was available only at the reception (although in the description of the hotel they say that there is paid wifi). - Some of the rooms overlook a graveyard so if you are sensitive, beware to make sure you ask for a room which does not. - The double studio was a bit small (a bit difficult to reach the other side of the bed because of a really tiny space between the bed and the television table). - Staff could use a smile once and a while.

Review 10:It was easy to reach the city centre from the hotel by tram.

Review 11:No Wifi in rooms ( even paid).. one had to go down to the reception to connect to Wifi. Kitchen was not fully equipped

Review 12:Affordable, Comfortable, good location, clean

Review 13:About 30 minutes walk into city centre although very easy to find down a straight road.

Review 14:We were given adjacent apartments which was great as we were travelling with our teenage son. Quiet location. Parking in street and secure car park. Kitchen facilities handy if staying longer.

Review 15:The keys were almost impossible to open teh doors we spent 30 mins going back wards and forwards to teh desk trying to get in. A little frustrating. It was about 30 mins walk into Bordeaux not central. good carparks in the center and on tram route.

Review 16:Very clear modern rooms

Review 17:The stay at apart city was a good one. However, I didn't like that we had to pay for wifi. The location was a little out of town but it made up for that with the cheap price of the room, and the tram was cheap to travel to the city and to the hotel. I also didn't like the fact that if we used the kitchen, we had to clean it. The reception staff on the second day was not very nice. She seemed in a rush for us to leave and gave us incorrect information on how to get to the airport, and we almost missed the flight trying to figure out the way there.

Review 18:On the plus side, The room was very comfortable. The kitchen although small was very well equipped. Do not be swayed by my one bad interaction with the reception, it was a very comfortable stay and the room is lovely.

Review 19:Even though it is an appartment it would have helped if we could at least dispose of garbage freely withouth having to pay extra for it. The smell in the hallways of the facility was really bad, thankfully it did not spread into the rooms.

Review 20:It is quite close to the center of the city. The facility has a parking lot downstairs for a reduced price, so that really helped with parking and was qutie cheap.

Review 21:Basic furniture, not much in local area 1 supermarket, 1 restaurant, 1 take away pizza

Review 22:good location for travel to centre, large room, free wifi (wifiCity) think from student block opposite? Tram stop 5 min walk (£1.50 per journey or 2.60 all day) good value can also use on bus

Review 23:I did not like Booking.com not deleting from my credit card the pending amount for my accommodation even 9days after the amount was paid.

Review 24:I liked appart'city

Review 25:Cooking equipment scarce, one large pot, and one scratched (unusable) frying pan. Had some trouble getting wifi for the first two nights, as they had run out of "bornes wifi", ie booster-routers for the room. Eventually all got sorted out. Some of the staff were excellent. Tinted windows not great, but not a surprise, they are in the photo.

Review 26:We had a very large bathroom, and airy room (for 3 people, all beds were fine)

Review 27:WiFi didn't work in the room only by the front desk. Vending machine didn't work in the lobby

Review 28:Good value for money and well situated to catch a tram into the centre of Bordeaux. Staff very friendly and spoke English as well as French. Kitchenette was clean and well equipped, I good alternative to a more expensive hotel.

Review 29:We had 4 adults sharing. One couple had a room with a double bed and the other a pull out lounge. For what we paid that was suitable. The layout for sharing was excellent for privacy to the bathroom and the air conditioning was much appreciated. It is in the business district which made it a quiet stay. Only some eateries around but adequate .Near by tram was very effective for getting around.

Review 32:Found reception staff very unhelpful to the point of being rude. Asked for 2 more pillows found response most unhelpful. Felt that reception staff were not interested. We were completely ignored for approx 7 minutes at reception on arrival and one staff member spoke English but didn't try to translate. We were asked to sign a form to indicate we would pay if the kitchen was left dirty, we were not told how much we would pay.At any rate we left it spotlessly clean and we have photos to prove this and we hope money will not be taken from my card!! It is also misleading to call this property online Bordeaux Centre as it is at least 3.5 K from the centre, very misleading indeed!

Review 33:Light filled room good windows big airey, bright decor, clean

Review 34:Weird lounge which doubles as 2 single beds, which were made up so you sit on a bed and the back is bare wood. Door was locked but I awoke at 3am to in opening and a man coming in using a torch. He departed quickly doing her had a key when challenged

Review 35:On fringe of city centre, but very good access to city by tram or the Gare SNCF by bus. Little kitchen works ok for meals. Good air con

Review 36:Proche de l'hôpital. Sirènes de pompiers sans cesse jour et nuit. Et vue sur le cimetière... Et petit déjeuner plus cher qu'à la gare !

Review 37:Chambre spacieuse et lit confortable

Review 38:Air condioned comfort in heat wave. Able to cook for selves , plus fridge. Laundry on site. Small supermarket, bakeries nearby. Good public transport. Staff professional & helpful. Quiet street. Excellent base and value for our stay in Bordeaux. With treetops outside our window. Found English programmes on TV.

Review 39:They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I received the wrong room number by sms, and was never able to find the right one. Calling the number they provide is useless, after holding the line for 20 minutes (from a foreign cell phone in roaming, of course) some gentleman answered, told me to wait and hung up. I arrived at 23:30, and at 01:00 I had to go find another hotel. I assume this attitude to customers is also reflected in all the other aspects, and would therefore recommend you to never stay in this hotel.

Review 40:As it was on Sunday evening there was no where to go for something to eat. After a half an hours drive we found a Pizza Hut!

Review 41:We booked this location as it was near to the hospital where we had an appointment the next day. The room was clean, air conditioned and the staff were helpful.

Review 42:Additional fees for every service (WiFi, luggage storage, earlier check-in) No English language or children channels in TV Outdated bathroom Dirty curtains

Review 43:Nice and well equiped kitchen in the room

Review 44:Just enough space for two adults, would have liked a couple of good restaurants nearby.

Review 45:Close to tram lines, with a reasonable supermarket in the area.

Review 46:The shower broke day 1 and was'nt fixed during our 3 night stay despite notifying reception.

Review 47:The location was convenient and close to tram and supermarket. Was easy to get to and from the airport.

Review 48:The whole hotel had a terrible feel. The room smelt awful I didn't want to even use the bathroom. The room was a permanent hue of blue because the windows are tinted. My key and door didn't work the whole time. Both the staff thought I just couldn't work the key, but it was broken, and then when they said they would help they never did.

Review 49:Pre-booked secure parking for motorcycles only to be told motorcycles were not aloud in garage. booked room with 2 single beds only to be given 1 double when complained were asked if we would come back the following day.after 1 hr were finally given a room

Review 50:More hostel than hotel. Charged me twice contrary to booking conditions. Firstly took money in advance before arrival, after that took more money from my account than they were entitled. Personal speaks only French, not English. Only one person at reception, very slow check-in. No electric kettle at room. Very soft and small bed. Noisy street, long way to city center. Very expensive breakfast compared to coffee next to hotel. No pub nearby. Worst experience ever.

Review 51:Nothing. Never again.

Review 52:Nor really clean. Nothing was free, even the luggage storage service. Kitchen was not well equipped (not even one single cup for coffee or tea).

Review 53:The parice

Review 54:The paid wifi was difficult to set up with 3 visits to the reception before they have us a different box to try. Also the bed sette was broken at one end making it difficult for us all to sit comfortably at night time to watch the tv we had to put a matrass on the floor and sit on that also there was no back rest to the sette part so again not very comfortable.

Review 55:We did like the rooms the main bedroom was good and we sleepers comfortable. The location was great 2 mins walk to the tram to get into the city. The breakfast was also good.

Review 56:No explanation about the wifi adapter. The shower door handle that can easily hurt the tip of your finger when you open it. Tobacco smell (still some ash near the window)

Review 57:Everything, especially the spacious bathroom

Review 58:- some members of the staff are not professionals - lack of hospitality service spirit - weak equipment (uncomfortable beds, poor kitchen equipment)

Review 59:location, space in the apartment and shower size

Review 60:Sickly green glass windows. Appalling staff interaction. I booked twin beds for my adult daughter and myself. We arrived to find a double bed. The receptionist was dismissive and said she could do nothing about it. Meanwhile another guest was complaining that him and his girlfriend had been give twin beds instead of a double. The receptionist refused to deal with either of these problems. She appeared to be disinterested and poorly trained. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

Review 61:The other guests

Review 62:WiFi not good(we paid €2 per day but finally didn't have good connection and the second day no connection at all). Check out time 11 a.m. is too early. We asked to keep our luggage at the storage room from 11a.m. to 12 p.m.(just for 1 hour) and we were asked to pay €2 per luggage even for 1 hour. They charged even the small plastic bag €2, so €6 to keep our 3 pieces of luggage just for 1 hour. Not correct to charge it, if the check out time so early.

Review 63:perfect location(just few stops of the tram from the center of the city)perfectly clean, with all kitchen facilities

Review 64:the sofá bed option although not uncomfortable creaked incredibly every time you moved and made sleeping through the night quite difficult.

Review 65:value for money and easy access to the centre. helpful staff and confortable room

Review 66:Double studio - no real bed, we slept on a very noisy and uncomfortable sofa bed. Should be called a hostel - then would match accommodation style. Tiny and very dated room

Review 67:Location to tram Friendly and helpful staff

Review 68:2 supposedly single beds, 1 of which we found to be a fold up to fit a child, most uncomfortable, the other a bed settee. Breakfast room too small, no room so we had coffee at the local patisserie on the next block.

Review 69:Secure Parking.

Review 70:the bed was not comfortable

Review 71:price is very good; room is spacious; the kitchenette includes everything you need; near to tram station, so, very good connection to the city center

Review 72:Staff would say up the road which meany 1kl there were very few kitchen items and when we asked for drinking glasses we were told we were only entitled o wine glasses. All saucepans had loose, dangerous saucepans.

Review 73:Lcation was great.Bed comfortable and bathroom adequate.Unit clean.

Review 74:The hotel was close to the public transport network and made travelling around the city very easy. the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. lovely bathroom.

Review 75:The staff was rather rude: I came down to ask for information and theguy did not even come out of his office, talking to me from the far, Icould barely see half his face! WiFi connection is available in the room(1 euro per day!) by cable, I had to go down to reception to use mycell's connection. While in this friendly area (in the corridor!) Ioverheard a couple asking for a blanket because they were cold at night. The clerk (the same one hiding in the office) said that they could havean extra blanket for 7 euros (!) and that since it was past 8pm theywould have to wait until the next day to get it! I am very disappointedin this hotel and in this franchising. Since it looked good on the net Ibooked it at Nantes too but same horrible settings. Only there the staffwas very nice, at least!

Review 76:Cleanliness has gone downhill since last stayed here. No mattressprotector and stained. Stayed 4 nights and had to purchase clean towelsno where else in europe did this happen.

Review 77:Excellent location

Review 78:I received an email today requesting the return of their parking pass. I did not use the pass nor did I have a car. The fine is €45 if it is not sent back.

Review 79:The value for money. Having a kitchen in the apartment was useful.

Review 80:Despite the charge of 1 euro a day, Internet was not working which was a big issue for me. 3 on 4 staff I have dealt with were not service orientated at all and rather rude Poor comfort in the room Powerful dust smell in the room. Stains on pillow case Windowless leaving area in flat This hotel does not deserve 3 stars.

Review 81:Nothing

Review 82:The bed sheets for the sofa bed doesn't look very clean. The coffee machine was not cleaned and came without filter.

Review 83:The setting of the room and facilities are thoughtful, we never need to ask reception for help. The night view was good from our room.

Review 84:The switch header was too far away from the bed. I had to get up to turn off the light

Review 85:I had a comfortable bedroom with a very big window. The location, it's easy to get the centre. And the hotel is in a quiet road.

Review 86:Asked for the invoice upon payment, reception staff issued a pro-forma. When back home, I'd to wait a couple of weeks to get the amount pre-authorized on my credit card released and when asked, they replied that it was a problem of mine with my bank.

Review 87:Basic accommodation and service.

Review 88:We were charged for storing our bags as we had arrived 'really early' according to staff. We arrived just after midday. Despite stacking bags to save space we were charged for 3, and one was just a small camera bag. Really didn't like the fact we had paid for a delux room and ended up with 2 single beds pushed together and a sheet put over them.

Review 89:Location, easy walk from tram stop in a quiet area. Hotel is clean.

Review 90:Anyone with back trouble will find the sofabeds extremely uncomfortable.

Review 91:The Apartments were clean and the staff were extremely helpful. I had a Lovely view of the cemetry. It was excellent value for money.

Review 92:Room smelled of tobacco smoke when we arrived, this did dissipate after a day or two.

Review 93:Great value, just a few stops on the tram from the city centre. Very secure car park right next door. Quiet location, within easy access from the airport.

Review 94:Very spotty Wifi. Room space is tight. When we stayed the bathroom drain was stinking and even after spraying room freshener that we bought at a nearby grocery store. We requested for room change, and was given another room after 2 days of stay after complaining twice. The new room was much better and the bathroom stank less.

Review 95:Located close to tram lines and groceries. Next to play ground for young children. Pay for parking located nearby. Kitchenette was useful for eating in.

Review 96:No free internet facilities in the rooms; reception is correct but not exact friendly; the drink dispenser machine was not working; rooms are not spacious - the bed is comfortable but it occupies all the room and you can´t barely move in it.

Review 97:I was looking a place for a night of sleep and that's what is offered.

Review 98:There is no room cleaning performed during the stay. The kitchen is fully equipped but very small; and the room is tiny: there is barely any space to walk around the sofa-bed when extended.

Review 99:The room had a big bathroom and a big wardrobe. It is easily reachable via public transport from the airport and the city centre. In the neighborhood there is a small supermarket and it's not far from the Mariadeck shopping centre.

Review 100:The behavior of one in two women staff who is fat. The air conditioner was broken, but the staff did not repair for two days. Wifi and internet is very poor.

Review 101:Kitchen facilities Cleanliness

Review 102:During stay of several days trash bin in apartment became full and it became a bit uncomfortable.

Review 103:Was good to arrive from and to airport, and good transport connection to the centre. Kitchen and air conditioning were fine. Very quiet and comfortable in the room.

Review 104:The bed!! Uncomfortable, squeaky. No hair dryer.

Review 105:Locality excellent. Near tram stop, local shop for supplies & the small but good quality food market on saturday. Enjoyed kitchenette for cooking after a week of eating out.

Review 106:A bit far from city center yet good reachable with the tram

Review 107:Fair price compared to other places in Bordeaux, very nice staff, cooking possibility in apartment

Review 108:The management may be slightly technologically challenged: a broken elevator call button on the ground floor was not repaired for over ten days. - Also, be prepared to pay a small extra fee for everything here - even for borrowing an iron or a (weak) Wifi hub.

Review 109:This is a comfortable apartment hotel near the centre of Bordeaux; and the price is reasonable.

Review 110:the button on the downstairs lift need repair. we were charged 1-50€ per pice of luggage for storage when arriving early for check-in and charged extra for our request for a quiet area room

Review 111:Its very close to the tram line. Staff very plesant and helpful. Clean.

Review 112:The colors of the windows glass are terible, red for us, and give a stange atmosphere to the room.

Review 113:I get habit of this chain hotel, the rooms are big, we park our bikes inside it, have cooking area with fridge and we use the hotel's laundry to wash out clothes. As usual the sheets and towel are changed only onece per week

Review 114:The bed looked like a hospital bed. The vending machine was out of order. There was WiFi only at the reception. Noise that came from some machine on the ground floor didn't let me sleep well. Manager was very very rude and impolite. The temperature of the shower varied from cold to very hot all of sudden. Located next to a cemetery and very far from the city center.

Review 115:Nothing.

Review 116:Only very very tiny downside was the police cars passing in the night sometimes as it's near to station.

Review 117:Once worked out really easy and safe travelling on the tram into center. About 20 mins max from train station including changes. Really excellent value for money, clean, good facilities and hotel in safe area. Definitely visit again!

Review 118:They didn't seem to understand what a double bed is. We specified this and e-mailed to make sure they got it right - they didn't. Kitchen poorly equipped.

Review 119:Good room with great view. Great to have kitchen. Shower was good. Location good and good price.

Review 120:Several issues with Wifi on the free area access unable to do connection Lack of english channels all french and limited because of TV model cant handle the hd channels wich is like 70% of the channels available. They limit the use of the air conditioned only after 9pm you can use it.

Review 121:Size of the room Enormous Bathroom All the things needed for making meals and Breakfast by your self in the room.

Review 122:I am usually not very demanding when it comes to accomodation on holidays, but I have to say that this was one of my worst price/value experiences ever. The bed is awful, had two terrible nights of sleep (see also other comments, similar problems). Furthermore, a lot of basic apartment inventory and tools are not present. Cooking is a nightmare in this very, very tiny and extremely basic kitchenette. Everything is charged extra, including basic things that are usually free elsewhere. Private parking is charged 8 euro, while parking on the street costs even more and is only allowed 2 hr max. However, parking around the corner is free and safe as well, so don't let them rip you off! Furthermore, if you change the couch into the bed, you cannot open the bathroom door completely anymore, it's all that small... No atmosphere at all in the apartment, but to compensate, they provide an excellent view on the city's biggest cemetery.

Review 123:Location is good is you'd like to visit Bordeaux. The tram is around the corner.

Review 124:squeaky and slightly uncomfortable sofa bed!

Review 125:Location - very near a couple of small supermarkets; tabacs; pharmacies and a couple of restaurants; and the tram stop which goes into the centre of Bordeaux Price - very good value for money considering the time of year that we were there (end of July) Good size bathroom - shower was fine too Good wardrobe size Nice to have a table and chairs to sit at for dinner too.

Review 126:The location is a bit more inferior than a map implies, since the tram line which runs toward the centre deviates from the shortest route possible, meaning that it takes some 10-15 minutes to get near the centre (Hotel de Ville) by tram.

Review 127:It's a decent place for the price. Staff is friendly, the room was ok.

Review 128:strong smell in the bathroom. you need to pay extra for the contents that are regularly available and expect in three star hotels - hair dryer, towel renewals, storing your suitcase after check out...

Review 129:rooms are spatious quite cheep average location

Review 130:My account was charged 9EUR after check out. I don't know why and they do not give any explanation at all.

Review 131:Double bed = 2 single beds which could split in the middle during the night...

Review 132:Good value for the price

Review 133:No kettle or cups Reception too busy because of the numbers to deal with.

Review 134:toilet smelled. Think there may have been bed bugs. Had to spray the room. Had to pay extra for clean sheets, towels etc

Review 135:Pillows too flat. Wifi not included. No toiletries.

Review 136:Price was good. Room very clean.

Review 137:No free wife. Paying parking. Staf not so helpfull

Review 138:nice room

Review 139:We are far from everything, even from the tramway stop. Not sure I'll go back there
