Review 79:Very pleasant environment and accommodating owners. We very much likedhome cooked food and buying from local farmers as we always try to byBritish and local produce. Review 80:We had booked the suite as an impromtu break and it far exceeded ourexpectations! It was like a separate little cottage at the back of thehotel with a loung/diner, a kitchen with cooker, fridge & microwave, aspa bathroom and upstairs a king size ensuite bedroom. There was a goodsized tv in the lounge and a dvd player. We like privacy and this wasafforded to us, we felt like we could have been in the middle ofnowhere, perfect! The hotel supplied breakfast which we did not availourselves of as we had facilities in the cottage and a lie in was calledfor, but the breakfast room looked light, airy and very clean. The hostswere both very welcoming and could not have been more helpful. We aredefinitely going back. The Elan valley nearby is absolutely stunning!Guidfa House is highly recommended on every level by us. We willprobably regret recommending this little gem as we will have to fightfor the suite now! But recommend it we must!
Review 81:There is nothing we disliked at the Guidfa, I would only highlight that you must rely on a car if you stay there (we were visiting family so it was not an issue, but bear in mind that the closest town, Llandrindod is too far to walk). Also, the breakfast is served between 8-9am only, though the hosts were graciously accommodating of our early 7:30am start when we had to catch a train on our last morning.
Review 82:This was our second stay at the Guidfa and it was even better than the first. It is a charming place and has all the important amenities, with great attention to detail. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are some of the cleanest we have seen with a spa feeling, the breakfast is delicious, the hosts are very friendly. We stayed at the Coach house suite and would highly recommend it. It is a bit more expensive than the other rooms but it is a large, two- level apartment with a comfortable living area, kitchenette, two bathrooms (one with jacuzzi tub downstairs and a powder room upstairs next to the bed), a king size bed and a skylight. So if you do go for it, the price difference will be justified. Internet access is also free and reliable. Overall, the 5 stars are well deserved, and we are looking forward to our next trip.
Review 83:Superb. From the moment we checked in (immediately asked if we wouldlike a tea or coffee) to the time we left. Well maintained with a fabbathroom. If we are in this area we will definately return

Review 92:The only thing I can think of (stretching it here) is that there weretwo bottles of water provided, but both were sparkling water - wouldhave been really nice to have the choice of still water.
Review 93:Clean, warm, friendly, well equipped, no fuss free wifi, beautifulviews, nice gardens with wildlife attractions, easy access,
Review 94:The whole place exudes quality and comfort. It is tasteful, well cared for and clearly loved. The hosts work very hard to make your stay perfect and the breakfast is complemented with home-made or local produce which is fabulous. A 5* delight.
Review 95:Guidfa House is a real treasure of a find. Celebrating 21 years in the business this delightful couple provide high quality accommodation, a friendly welcome, fabulous tea and cake, lovely breakfast and extra personal touches. Just wish I'd phoned first as then I could have chosen bath or shower! I stay in lots of different accommodation - this is a true oasis.
Review 96:Although the breakfast was excellent, it was a shame that it was only being served betwen 8 and 9 o'clock. As I had to go to an event which started at 9, I would have much preferred if breakfast was available say maybe half an hour earlier as it was rather a rush to get to my event on time.
Review 97:Very comfortable and excellent value for money.
Review 98:I cannot think of anything I didn't like. Maybe the weather could have been warmer, but I can't blame Ann and Tony for that.
