Reviews for Pilleth Oaks
Review 1:Would have liked to see a wider range of juices at the breakfast table. Only orange available and even when a guest asked for apple juice the next morning she was offered grape juice instead of the requested apple. Otherwise range of breakfasts available was good.
Review 2:The welcome by the owners and the relaxing atmosphere. Local people very friendly and helpful too. Amazing scenery and places to visit for all ages and disabilities.
Review 3:The hostess. Is very w elcoming, the large bedroom is lovely with good views and binoculars provided to see the birds on the lake. Our third visit so obviously we like it. ,
Review 4:We seemed very much on our own apart from at breakfast times. Perhaps this is always the case with B & Bs. Nobody seemed to use the common room, possibly as there was no TV there.
Review 5:The hostess's professional service. The friendly company of other guests.
Review 6:I'd have appreciated a larger bath towel. The WiFi was rather intermittent, but that's not the owners' fault. It should be noted that the hosts no longer offer an evening meal, so the description on Booking.com is slightly out of date.
Review 7:Wonderful location. The superior room had French windows with a balcony and stunning views. The room was spotlesslessly clean, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The hosts were welcoming; the tea and cake on arrival was much appreciated. The breakfasts were also excellent.
Review 8:Although there is free wifi, the signal didn't extend to the bedroom.
Review 9:Quiet location, friendly staff, very clean and well kept accommodation, excellent breakfast.
Review 10:An extremely comfortable and peaceful stay. The sunny morning allowed us to venture out on to the balcony to enjoy the wonderful view. We then had a breakfast which set us up for the day! Looking forward to returning.
Review 11:This place was absolutely beautiful! The grounds were breathtaking and the room we stayed in was very very nice. This was one of the best places my husband and i stayed while we were in Wales. My only regret is that our schedule didn't afford us time to stay at this location longer than a night.
Review 12:There is nothing bad to say about Pilleth Oaks at all.
Review 13:We were met at the door with tea and cake lined up. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms clean & very comfortable. Beautiful setting. Absolutely wonderful.
Review 14:"Epic!" is the word my children used to describe their stay, and one that I have now adopted. We did not even have to go to the tourist information point, as the B&B owner provided the best information, from places to eat e.g. The Hundreds Pub, places to horse ride e.g. Heart of Wales Riding School (The riding instructors were excellent and interactive especially with the children) , churches to visit and of course the Rhayader dams. The 5* B&B was cleaner than any 5* hotel I had been to. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Pilleth oaks was the perfect central point and the hosts were friendly and unintrusive. Definitely recommend it, for the beautiful lake and the amazing views. It was worth more than I paid for!
Review 15:There is nothing to dislike.
Review 16:Heather and Peter provide a very relaxed and friendly environment, just right for the holidaymaker, sightseer, walker or traveller. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Pilleth Oaks; the setting is wonderfully scenic, the house peaceful and quiet, and the food excellent. This is the best you can get.
Review 17:Enjoyed our stay completely.
Review 18:gave us easy access to Welsh Show. Helpful owner made us packed breakfast as we needed to be out early . quiet comfortable room come and go as we pleased . easy parking available.
Review 19:The bedroom that we had was much smaller than the other two bedrooms, and was too cramped for a three night stay. We paid the same for this smaller room as our friends who had a much larger room. The plumbing was not man enough for the job in the morning - at one point we had no hot or cold water at all in the bathroom.
Review 20:The location was beautiful and the food, including cake on arrival was very good. The landlady was very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms we used were very clean, nicely decorated and well furnished.
