Reviews for The Horse & Jockey Inn
Review 1:Bathroom really tatty and not terribly clean, lots of mould. No light bulb in one bedside lamp. Beds creaked really badly every time you moved. Carpet in room looked old and tired.
Review 2:Superb service, really helpful and friendly staff
Review 3:Lovely accommodation, very comfortable, clean room. Excellent meal in the quaint restaurant area, followed the next morning by an equally excellent breakfast.
Review 4:It is a pub so can get a bit noisy over the weekend in the evening Former coaching inn still keeping lots of character which we felt is not well exploited
Review 5:Very friendly and courteous staff Good choice of food Lots of character - the story of the former coaching inn could be explored bit more. Lovely clean spacious bathrooms with bath & shower
Review 6:The access on the outside to the bedrooms would be unsuitable for less able people. I managed it with a slight disability but only with care.
Review 7:Friendliness of staff, the location and the breakfast was excellent
Review 8:I didn't like having to go outside and across a courtyard to climb a wooden staircase to reach our room.
Review 9:Food and service was good. Very friendly atmosphere in the bar.
Review 10:Although centrally heated, it appeared that it was only switched on when I arrived. The room felt cold and a bit musty and never reached a comfortable temperature. Not good for £80. Breakfast OK.

Review 12:First member of staff we saw wasn't that welcoming! A few touch ups needed in the room. No hot water for a bath!
Review 13:Beautiful room, very comfortable, quiet and good facilities.
Review 14:- Very noisy bedroom as facing the auction and was woken up very early with bins being emptied (Thursday morning) but have stayed before and never had this problem so appears room related. - Took 3 calls and an email over 3+ weeks to get a copy of an invoice for my stay - Oddly, we weren't informed by any of the staff that they were closing, they simply locked up the doors and the gates and abandoned us to ourselves in the courtyard
Review 15:- Really comfy bed / bedroom (Tallant) - bedrooms really are beautiful and un-expected - Good beer / wine / food selection - Friendly staff
