Reviews for Logis Hôtel Les Chardons Bleus
Review 1:The room was on the third floor, with no lift! when we checked in we were asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner, we replied no, 20 minutes later we rang down to book a table and were told they were fully booked.
Review 2:the hotel was right in the centre of Roscoff and we had a glimpse of the sea from our room
Review 3:Access to floors a little steep.Prefre first floor rooms if available
Review 4:Very convenient.Excellent cuisine including very good breakfast (Home made bread and Jams,Etc)
Review 5:Right in the middle of Roscoff port, with parking on the street or in a nearby car park. Comfortable beds, bathroom and good wifi. No frills, but it has everything you need for a night before getting the ferry.
Review 6:All is well.
Review 7:2nd time there. Simple and a great restaurant on the ground floor so easy to bed. Only a five minute drive to the harbour and ship. Great value, food, staff, and the room works well for only a few Euro.
Review 8:The hotel is in the centre of Roscoff - very convenient for getting to the Ferry Port. We were able to store our bikes safely and securely in a garage. The hotel was clean, peaceful and comfortable
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:This is a lovely place to stay. For the price it is a gem. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is excellent and would recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.
Review 11:Cleanliness in the bathroom was poor and drainage from the shower tray was slow. (There was no time to inform the hotel personnel as we had a very early start the next morning.)
Review 12:The hotel is in the middle of Roscoff, ideal for walking around the beautiful village. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 13:Hospitality was great and the setup of the resturant was lovely we were told by a fellow guest the food was exceptional although due to circumstances we didn't participate.
Review 14:Although not a criticism in any way, the excellent reputation of the restaurant meant it was NOT possible to eat there....we'll book next time!
Review 15:The hotel was very handily placed in Roscoff for access to shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was excellent value for money.
Review 16:Non whatsoever, although it was 'unusual' to access our bedroom via the back of the bar. A small price to pay for a totally charming hotel with friendly staff.
Review 17:Superb location to access ferry (early morning) and to explore the delightful bays on the western flanks of Roscoff. This much neglected part of France is filled with breath-taking bays and utterly charming villages/harbours.
Review 18:Only criticism would be the shower wasn't very appealing, however for one night not a problem.
Review 19:Nice location on the Main Street, we only stayed one night but would stay again.
Review 20:Having to walk through the restaurant to check-in. Not being able to get a reservation to eat. No-one around between 7.15 and 7.40 a.m for us to check out. The bed was very uncomfortable. Not the most friendly or helpful staff we have ever met - not the worst either.
Review 21:The location of the hotel was good and the fact that there was a restaurant too.
Review 22:great hosts very friendly and polite. Clean bedroom no evidence of previous smokers and modern powerful shower. Fantastic value lunch including wine. Cant fault it will return.
Review 23:Didn't like to see the live crabs & lobsters etc swimming in the tank in the restaurant while having breakfast, knowing what their destiny was!!!
Review 24:Good hotel in the centre of Roscoff ideal position to explore the town. Comfortable and friendly.
Review 25:Having to walk through the busy restaurant to book in as there is no seperate entrance for the hotel.
Review 26:Friendliness of the staff, location and short distance from the ferry. The great value breakfast in the morning.
Review 27:the room was adiquate. The food in the restaurante was execellant and the staff very friendly. the position of the hotel was very good for the town and the ferry port
Review 28:Parking was a problem, due mostly to the numbers attending the weekend of the Patrimoine.
Review 29:That we were fitted in for an evening meal (good restaurant)! despite it being the very busy weekend of the Patrimoine .
Review 30:Very noisy being on the street. No elevators so need to be able to carry luggage up flights of stairs
Review 31:Was on Main Street and easy to get in and out and parking outside was a bonus
Review 32:The dinners were superb and the staff were helpful and friendly. Even though the hotel was beside the church the soundproofing was excellent in the bedroom and the bells couldn't be heard. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent.
Review 33:Parking was a little difficult but we managed. The shower was of insufficient strength for purpose.
Review 34:The welcome was good and helpful. The bedroom was clean and comfortable for one night. Dinner was excellent!
Review 35:This time the bath was a bit dirty but other than that it was great.
Review 36:This is our third time at this hotel. The location is great for exploring Roscoff.
Review 37:No private parking (but plenty of public parking available close bye) this could be a problem in high season
Review 38:Located in the town centre with its own restaurant and close to the ferryport
Review 39:As above
Review 40:Arrived but hotel all locked up. Went to shop and they called the manager to let me in. Restaurant was closed so did not get dinner or breakfast. Dismal service. Give it a miss.
Review 41:Breakfast should have been at 8.00am but dining room was shut and locked and no staff available. We had to leave with out breakfast to catch our ferry
Review 42:Location
Review 43:I had car problems and the manager and his partner went out of their way to help me which meant a great deal as a female lone traveler. The decor was a little tired but they were in the midst of decorating so all being dealt with. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but look forward to eating there another time.
Review 44:i agree about the lift .After a back op recently i am using a stick . i managed ok as we were on first floor.we will stay again in january and ask for same room ,
Review 45:Staffwere very warm and friendly, food and loads of hot water for a bath every night ,.
Review 46:No booking confirmation was present. Luckily I took a copy of my reservation. The credit card machine had broken so only cash was acceptable.
Review 47:Handy for the ferry port, rooms were rather oldfashioned but adequate. Bath room was good. the bedroom was affected by noise from the street.
Review 48:Room was simple but spacious with a comfortable bed and providing all that was needed for a night prior taking an early ferry. Located on top floor, it offered a view of the sea. Must be willing to climb stairs though as there was no lift.
Review 49:A little pokey to get to the room, but all was good! After initial feeling of being a little disappointed the good aspects become more obvious
Review 50:Hot showers, central and comfortable beds. En suite bathroom was clean and of good size
Review 51:The stairs and basic room could do with a kettle! But for the price excellent. 55 euros for two you cant complain!
Review 52:The location, the food the staff, the price. Superb dinner could not be better! Staff sofriendly.
Review 53:Parking is a short walk away, and fills up quickly, so be prepared to hunt around a bit
Review 54:Nice, large, clean room. Decent shower/bath. Good wifi connection. Very close to seafront and town. Excellent food.
Review 55:couldn't gain access till late p.m. very much in need of TLC. no one around for payment when we tried to leave at 8. in the morning to catch ferry!
Review 56:The small bedroom was desperately in need of a revamp: bed, mattress, pillows, blankets needed replacing, all worn, old, and not very comfortable. Furnishings generally worn.
Review 57:Good breakfast and dinner. Room was reasonably clean. Just about OK for a quick o/n sleep.
Review 58:The room was very clean, we have stayed here twice before catching the ferry home and would stay again. Excellent location, right in the middle of the town. The restaurant looked lovely but not really the place for a 4 year old little boy!
Review 59:It's a bit messy walking through the restaurant to check-in. It would be better if there was a bell on the back entrance to avoid diners and sleepers spoiling the restaurant/hotel atmosphere.
Review 60:Discrete, secure, ultra clean, comfortable, perfect location, very good food and good quality wines. Reasonable. I ate in the restaurant three days in a row it was so good. Staying there was a fairly anonymous experience - no overpowering hosts. I liked that. I really can't wait to go back.
Review 61:Steep, narrow stairs were a bit difficult with cases. Extra charge for breakfast
Review 62:Its location It's a small and characterful hotel Free parking nearby-not a problem Home made jam with breakfast Good selection of croissants and bread. 24hr access and no problem checking in after advertised time.
Review 63:Check-in facilities primitive.Noone about at 8am for checkout, had to wait with another couple. Breakfast indicated in room info as from 7.30, not so in fact. It would not have been ready until well after 8 - too late for us. Room pretty basic.
Review 64:Dinner was pretty good including service
Review 65:Maybe the room could have tea/coffee facilities. Didn't like that the room door was left open after cleaning but the hotel is secure
Review 66:The staff were friendly and helpful, it's location is ideal. Home made jams/honey/breads for breakfast. We would go back again.
Review 67:Cold and poor decor
Review 68:Comfy beds. Good location
Review 69:The bed had seen better days. Springs a bit tired
Review 70:It was all good
Review 71:Clean comfortable room
Review 72:The location with the car park not too far away and within easy walking distance of Restaurants was great.
Review 73:Inspiring young chef
Review 74:Great location
Review 75:Bright airy room, centre of town.
Review 76:Location. Friendly. Secure parking for cycles.
Review 77:Room was light all night because there were no shutters Staff could not tell us about the bus to Quimper
Review 78:The restaurant downstairs is excellent
Review 79:A prime location in the old part of Roscoff and really handy for the ferry.
Review 80:stairs difficult to negotiate shower cubicle very small, sharp pieces at the bottom of the shower exit not useful
Review 81:easy to find. cheerful
Review 82:Parking is tricky
Review 83:Very convenient
Review 84:Stairs a bit steep for the elderly
Review 85:Very friendly staff , good food, Roscoff a lovely old town.
Review 86:three flights of stairs!no lift.luckily we are fairly fit 74 and 73 year olds
Review 87:great position in centre of town and handy for all restaurants etc
Review 88:In the heart of the town, pleasant proprietor and excellent restaurant within the hotel.
Review 89:There was no wifi at all but manager made up for it by taking us personally to the ferry terminal which was a fair distance away
Review 90:The farmers market
Review 91:no kettle in room. and the wifi did not work.
Review 92:the evening meal was to die for
Review 93:Staff friendly and also somwhere to put my bike
Review 94:Cold and pillows very uncomfortable
Review 95:Overall I would we would stay in this hotel again as it is only 10 minutes from the ferry port
Review 96:No-one on duty for breakfast
Review 97:Accessibility to the port
Review 98:friendly manager/owner
Review 99:Good central location
Review 100:Breakfast ordered for 08.00.no staff in hotel at that time. We went out for breakfast at 08.30 when No one had arrived !
Review 101:Good bed in plain room.
Review 102:Lack of parking and a bit smelly due to fish rest beneath.
Review 103:the stairway was very worn and tatty looking
Review 104:No tea or coffee making facility in bedroom. Stair carpet worn and dirty. Nobody around to take check out at 0730. Expensive for what it was
Review 105:Access via a side door. Noisy neighbours.
Review 106:Central location.
Review 107:Safety consideration very poor - cleaning (mop) equipment on bedroom floor was a trip hazard and more on landing outside bedroom. Bed head and bedside tables thick with dust. Basket in bathroom for toiletries was old and dusty. Dirty grey rags/towels on bar in restaurant on arrival which were quickly removed..
Review 108:Early morning exit for ferry home was easy. Restaurant manager was helpful.Bed/bathroom linen clean.Toilet and shower were clean. Room warm.
Review 109:No tea/coffee making facilites in the room, but this is quite often usual in France Stair carpet quite worn on lower stairs Front door locked and as this was the only entrance at the front of the property access was through the restaurant, we had to attract the attention of staff inside. However once we were checked in we were given a code for the back door behind the property. One of the shutters in our room wouldn't pull down
Review 110:Very convenient location, we had a double room at the top of the hotel, quiet location Room clean and the bed comfy, extra pillows provided, plenty of hot water and toiletries included Plenty of choice of restaurants in Roscoff, very reasonable and good value.
Review 111:No lift, could be a problem if you have young children or heavy luggage.
Review 112:This was a very clean hotel, with friendly staff, rooms were warm and towels provided.
Review 113:apart from the three flights of stairs which we know you can do nothing about because of the building and not keen on hotel not having a proper reception and having to go in thru the resturant
Review 114:the location was brilliant for us and the room was a nice size and had everything we wanted
Review 115:Public areas could be spruced up a bit, but would rather keep as is if the sprucing up lead to an increase in price.
Review 116:Straightforward hotel in great location and beautiful building. Friendly staff.
Review 117:No secure parking. The hotel had a musty smell. The carpets well worn. No carpets in the bedroom. The shower cubical needed a good clear and grouting. The large aquarium with live crabs and lobsters was in appropriate especially for vegetarians.
Review 118:Stairs are not very clean Walking through the back fire escape is not wonderful . But you need to do it at meal times as the restaurant at the front is busy. Came to realise that there is no one there at night. The owners live somewhere else.
Review 119:Quiet Good bed Good bathroom Practical layout Comfortable
Review 120:No reception so when we arrived we were stood in the restaurant with our bags. In the morning we had to leave early for our ferry so we went down for petit dejuener at 7:30am (when it said it opened for that) and there was no one around, no lights on. Also no one to give our key to or pay as we wanted to pay in cash. There was nothing saying where to leave the key etc so we just left it in the room. The door to the hotel also didnt shut properly so anyone could've walked in at night. Noisy taps at night. Any time someone used their tap, we could hear it through our room. Room 10.
Review 121:Great location.
