Reviews for Ffin Y Parc Country House

Review 1:It was a lovely restored house with 2 warm and friendly owners. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be booking again next year.

Review 2:As a lady, a better placed mirror and lighting in my bedroom to enable me to dry my hair and put on my make-up.

Review 3:Location, wonderful rooms, ambience, owners and staff, food and drink, friendly dog and just the way I felt relaxed so quickly after a stressful drive!

Review 4:Nothing really. High ceilings which could do with a duster to reach as a few bugs congregated in the corner of our room.

Review 5:Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Excellent plac to stay and lovely area too.

Review 6:Ralph and Roland continue to offer a fabulous stylish and luxurious retreat. On this occasion we stayed in room number 1 which has extra space in the form of a living area. That said, as usual we spent the evening in the bar and lounge area enjoying the fabulous art whilst sipping our wine. Great location, beautiful scenery, supper and breakfast both excellent as were the afternoon tea and cakes on arrival. Super wine list at affordable prices. The gallery also seems to have really taken off which is fantastic - only sorry we missed the new exhibition starting this week.

Review 7:This is an amazing country house hotel with its own art gallery, exceptionally high spec. bedroom and bathroom furnishings, superb food and service, delightful hosts.

Review 8:Nothing, we can't wait to go back.

Review 9:This country house has been beautifully restored and every detail has been thought of to make your stay special. The staff were welcoming and attentive and made us feel very relaxed. Breakfast was delicious and had a great selection. The view from our room was breathtaking!

Review 10:The super king bed was great, but comfort could have been improved for us personally if there was lighter duvet more suited to summer months as we found it a little too warm for June. However, each person is different & some may prefer a heavier duvet, especially as Wales isn't exactly renowned for its hot weather!

Review 11:Loved our stay at this place! Staff very welcoming & accomodating. The interior design of the country house is fab & very interesting. Great that you can enjoy artwork on display throughout the house. We found it was located in an ideal place for exploring Snowdonia & loved the beautiful views from all the rooms. Had loads of fun exploring the Marrin trail on our mountain bikes in the Forrest opposite & was only a short drive to Snowdon if you fancy climbing a mountain! Breakfast was delicious as was the home made cakes & biscuits! Would definitely stay here again!

Review 12:no well sign posted but we gathered due to council and this is soon to change as we nearly drove past essentially art gallery with rooms

Review 13:good location just outside Betwsy Coed met by the owner who was very courteous and helpful although B&B Friday sat have light supper which was excellent comfortable room nice gardens

Review 14:This place is stunning! I extended my stay, unable to leave. A spaciousboudoir with a chandelier inside an art gallery in one of the mostbeautiful national parks in the world. I have recommended Ffin y Parc toeveryone I know.

Review 15:There is nothing to not like it was a brilliant find.

Review 16:We enjoyed our stay in a beautiful house very much. Everything was perfect - the room decor, comfort of bed, size of sitting area, complimentary tea and coffee in room at any time, breakfast.

Review 17:nothing, it is just great

Review 18:It is very hard to tell what we liked in the hotel, as it was brilliant. It is obvious that the owners take pride in their hotel, they do all possible to make it as comfortable and perfect as possible. Combined with a superb breakfast, good location in Snowdonia National Park and the art gallery in the hotel make it one of the top hotels I've ever visited

Review 19:Nothing, we'd move in if we could.

Review 20:Almost everything... The location, rooms, decor, facilities, food, ambience are all fantastic. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating without being intrusive.

Review 21:Everything! Rowan and Ralph are incredibly friendly. The house is an absolute delight with beautiful furnishings and fittings. Fabulous food, incredibly friendly staff and stunning location.

Review 22:Weren't told that we needed to tell the staff when we would be back at night so they woke us up to see if we were back or not!fair play though they were worried about us!

Review 23:Great staff,facilities,views and service

Review 24:There's honestly nothing I didn't like, it suited my needs and tastes perfectly!

Review 25:The location is superb, set in North Wales countryside yet close to the village and towns. The whole experience was fabulous. Home-made short-bread in the rooms, the most comfortable beds, decorated to an exquisite standard and the Art work is dangerously well displayed. I hope to visit again early in the New Year, it really was a wonderful experience.

Review 26:The location, decor, service and all the extra little things they did to make the stay better. They even put out some drinks and biscuits in the room for us!

Review 27:Better signs needed from the road but satnav works, nothing negative to say about the stay.

Review 28:The staff and owners were exceptional, friendly and informative creating a nice atmosphere,

Review 29:Couldn't get taxi to collect us from village but decided to stay in for a "simple supper" which was excellent.

Review 30:Decor Ambiance Bed Welcoming owners Grandure Breakfast

Review 31:No tea and coffee facilities

Review 32:We loved the house, it was absolutely beautiful. Ralph and Roland were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and were always on hand if any issues were to arise. The one and only criticism would be no tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Review 33:We were welcomed by Ralph (and the lovely friendly dog) on arrival, and was shown round the house, which I thought was a lovely touch. Rather than just being told, "breakfast is through there or the bar is here!" We were shown to our room (the suite) which had a gorgeous bathroom, walk in shower & free standing bath, the bedroom was spacious and the bed was nice and firm. The 'sitting' area of the room had a log burner and overlooked parts of the valley. It was lovely! We went out of the house for some dinner, but regretted it when we got back as the eating area looked beautiful and good smelled lovely! We did however have breakfast there and it was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed how inviting the owners were and even the other residents. It was nice to be acknowledged with a 'hello/goodnight' A beautiful place - definitely would recommend! Thank you

Review 34:An excellent stay; comfortable and clean room and the owners were happy to accommodate my vegetarian requirements - the food was delicious. Also liked the gallery side of the business. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

Review 35:There isn't anything not to like!

Review 36:The whole ambience of the hotel is one of relaxation and beauty. The beautiful scenery outside is matched by the artwork on show and the decor. We were treated as house guests rather than customers and made to feel as if the house was ours for the weekend. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but don't be fooled by the "simple suppers" they offer - our lasagne was to die for! Will definitely be returning.

Review 37:Very hard to not like anything, maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be a nice finishing touch as,the room was superb.

Review 38:Very impressive hotel, excellent location and surroundings. Customer care was very impressive. Ralph is the perfect host. We are returning, later this year.

Review 39:Leaving!

Review 40:Warm welcome, beautifully restored property with art gallery, coffee shop and bar. Really warm and homely, impeccabley friendly owners and friendly old dog. Can't recommend highly enough, worth every penny.

Review 41:Everything was absolutely beautiful. The room, the location, the art work, talking to Roland and Ralph about the history...amazing! Congratulations on the passion & dedication to the projects! Best wishes.

Review 42:Nothing!

Review 43:Super friendly staff from word go making us feel relaxed and welcome. The 'simple supper' on our Friday night stay was superb, the breakfast, a mix of continental and cooked options also perfect. The house is stunning to look around with art gems everywhere. We stayed in the suite - very highly recommended

Review 44:The staff are very friendly and did all they could to help. The Country house itself is beautiful, the decor lovely, gardens breath-taking and the location is ideal (6mns drive from the Village).

Review 45:We immediately felt "at home away from home" and the truly charming owners of Ffin y Parc are certainly to blame for that. No matter how hectic it got, there was always a smile and a humorous comment for us -- and that is why we like boutique hotels so much. Not to mention the lavish, stylish rooms and carefully-picked art collection on display...

Review 46:We went there for our anniversary, we were so relaxed, and it was unreal! Food was amazing, we stayed for supper, as well as breakfast which was fantastic too. The owners are lovely, and the art is incredible. We stayed in room 1, it is so comfortable we really did not want to leave.

Review 47:Too short a stay!

Review 48:Beautiful location, building and rooms. Great attention to detail for example excellent homemade shortbread biscuits in room, perfect early morning tea tray and the best salad nicoise for supper I have eaten!

Review 49:Nothing, plan on a return trip.

Review 50:The whole place, grounds, rooms are large, clean and classic,Outstanding views. Coffee bar / licenced bar wonderfull . Great food. Excellent coffee. The owners were fab host's who are willing to accomodate you at any time of day or night, also just so happened to be great company. Art work, well what a bonus, free gallery.

Review 51:Nothing.

Review 52:Fabulous rooms with great view. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Everything was just perfect. Would return in a heartbeat.

Review 53:This Art Gallery/Hotel was utterly brilliant. By far the best place i have ever stayed not just in the UK but across the globe. Such attention to detail and a room you will wish you could live in forever. The staff at the hotel are beyond helpful and helped me plan some surprises for the room as it was part of an away break for my other half's birthday. will 100% be visiting again!!!

Review 54:It will be even better when they have a full restaurant in the evening.

Review 55:Ffin y Parc is a perfect blend of good taste, very charming and helpful people, and good value.

Review 56:Restaurant was closed due to an issue with the chef. Ralph called me to let me know about this beforehand and offered us many alternatives. No fault of their own and gives us an excuse to go back and try it out once it's back up and running.

Review 57:We stayed in the suite and it was just amazing. Comfortable and cosy, just perfect for our little weekend away. Ralph was a welcoming host and made us feel at home, all the staff and owners went out of their way to look after us. Perfect location and grounds...I could t of asked for a more perfect weekend!!

Review 77:Large Rooms nicely decorated. Staff who make you feel completely at home and couldn't do enough to help.

Review 78:Warmly greeted upon arrival and givien a tour of the facilities. Bedroom and bathroom were gorgeous and plentiful breakfast was delicious.

Review 79:Decor had real class. Staff very friendly and attentive. Possibly the best home bsked shortbread I have ever tasted.

Review 94:The art on the walls. Breakfast quality. Location. The welcome

Review 95:Everything, peaceful, stunning views, excellent overnight stay.

Review 96:Lovely settings. Location excellent. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Review 97:Expensive for one night

Review 98:Friendly service

Review 99:Beds a bit too hard

Review 100:Character & spaciousness or the rooms, breakfast

Review 101:We loved everything! A special place we will return to again and again.

Review 102:Cannot find anything to fault it on!

Review 103:The setting was amazing, the accommodation was as great as it looked on the website and the staff / owners were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone

Review 104:No on/off button fitted to the sheep! Yes: it's that peaceful!

Review 105:Staying in an art gallery is unique in my book, and what great art. Hosts were exceptional: good for professionalism/ service and great for a chat! Could do with tea and coffee facilities in the room rather than visit the bar but I could have taken it to the room if I wanted too so no real grouse. This is not the sort of hotel that has air con, fridge and trouser press immediately to hand but I'm sure it would be no problem, and might even spoil the rooms if they did. Bed really comfy: bathroom lovely. This is just the sort of hotel I like.

Review 106:We stayed in the suite, the room was beautifully decorated and very stylish. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. We are in the restaurant and the food was very tasty and value for money. Will definitely be returning.

Review 107:Absolutely loved staying here!! Whole building is beautiful, loved our room and loved were we sat and ate breakfast as you could look on the mountains and countryside, breakfast was amazing. The owners are absolutely lovely, only disappointment was we didn't book for the restaurant as it had only just opened and we didn't know! Defiantly would stay here again!

Review 108:Nothing to dislike

Review 109:The service was friendly we were made to feel very much at home and relaxed, the suite was well appointed and the whole hotel's decor was well thought out and well executed, giving a very luxurious appearance. The menu was limited but excellent quality and presentation. we will be coming back for a longer stay. Lovely grounds.

Review 110:Nothing not to like!

Review 111:Everything!!! going back for my birthday, staying longer next time! Definitely stay in the suite Amazing place! Beautiful people!!

Review 112:Poor signs on roadside directing guests up to the hotel and no reception sign but Ralph tells us that this is being addresses with Snowdonia national Parks committee. Need room attention if staying two nights. No bed made or clean towels but think this may be an oversight. Not a major problem though. All teething problems I expect.

Review 113:Fantastic hospitality by Ralph and Rowland the proprietors and resident chef Robert. Met other ancilliary staff too who were also pleasant. Relaxed atmosphere. Felt like we were the only residents in the hotel !! Loved the electic mix of old and mod decor/furniture. Will highly recommend to friends and family. Food was like home cooked and I am sure when the new menu on the 8th May is up and running then the hotel will grow from strength to strength. Best of luck for the future x x

Review 114:Never going to be satisfied with my own bedroom again :-)

Review 115:Don't stay here if you ever want to look at your own bedroom again in the same light. These rooms were amazing. Great quality furnishings with lovely art. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast of very high standard. The rooms are large with an eclectic mix of modern and antique furniture.
