Reviews for Hôtel Restaurant Les oliviers
Review 1:The hotel reception is closed until 6pm. The unfriendly check-in experience. The emphasis on instructing me about the hotel rules than explaining which room I had. The hotel is an uphill walk with steps from the public car park.
Review 2:The Wifi worked well and was fast enough for Netflix. The hotel is a very short walk from the village square with many restaurants. Breakfast was good.
Review 3:Stale tobacco smell throughout hotel. Bed very uncomfortable. Only soap offered in bathroom. Owner dour and unfriendly(gave the impression she didn't want to be there). Grounds unkempt and run down, cats everywhere.
Review 4:Location-very central
Review 5:Room and bathroom were extremely small.
Review 6:The wifi was free and worked well and so did the air conditioner. Plenty of free parking right out the front if you need.
Review 7:The bathroom was very small with a very small shower stall, but everything was clean. The floors sweak.
Review 8:The location was perfect. The garden at the front is adorable. Since it was the weekend we were able to park at the school across and leave the car in the depose minute parking over night.
Review 9:very small bathrooms, upgrading works in progress but not ongoing in the Summer, very small portions for dinner, unkempt garden.
Review 10:Pleasant friendly couple, nice dog and cats, cool interior with tiled floors. Good location in town of Nyons.
Review 11:Service is horrific. The hotel was closed when we arrived. According to the police the owner does not warn his guests for the consequences of parking nearby on market days. The cynical owner makes clear that this is not his responsibility. Better avoid this hotel and its disfunctional staff.
Review 12:Everything was perfect. This is a family run hotel with very friendly and responsive owners. Location is excellent to travel around Provence. Free car parking places nearby, good view from the window. The room was clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again if traveling in Provence and recommend Nyon and this hotel for others. When planning vacation Ive chosen between Avignon and Nyon, and was completely right when finally chosen Nyon. French Nyon appears to be the best city to stay when you are in Provence: very close and convenient place to reach unforgivable lavender areas and have an evening fun walking on old Nyon streets and eating in restaurants which are all beautiful and not expensive comparing to other Provence touristic areas (eg Avignon).
Review 13:La situation. Les patrons.
Review 14:Excellent location right in town.
Review 15:Very nice hotel, with friendly owners. It is next to the old part of the city.
Review 16:Staff very helpful and friendly
Review 17:This is not really a hotel,(no bar and restaurant depite name), more like rooms with (expensive) breakfast. It does not open until 6pm, dont bother trying to arrive earlier. Unwelcoming reception, not cycle friendly, no sound insulation within the building, therefore noisy, also VERY squeaky floorboards, a miniscule bathroom so cramped that even someone of my diminutive stature could not use the toilet easily. Mould around the base of the shower cubicle. Very poor value for money, avoid.
Review 18:The location, central to Nyons, very close to all shops, restaurants etc.
Review 19:Owner was very inflexible and grumpy. Quite annoying actually. Four of us had to share double beds. Breakfast was very basic
Review 20:Took the whole group. Close to centre of town
Review 21:Our double room with a balcony was on the ground floor and very noisy in the mornings when people where leaving as it on the main entrance hall, not worth the extra cost. Plus the on- suite was very small, needing to open the door to turn around ! The meal was average and the 19 Euro bottle of Cote du Rhone wine was a rip off !! But there are plenty of good restaurants nearby in the town centre.
Review 22:Very clean, friendly and helpful owners, comfy beds, easy walk to the town centre, plenty of free parking near by. Wifi good..Plenty of cats to stroke and one dog, who was well trained !
