Review 1：Someone along the coridoor was smoking dope. I had three teenage sons with me so not good. Shower was very slow and temperamental. Cold. Room had very high windows and curtains were pulled off tracks so didnt close.
Review 2：The chap at front office was Very welcoming on arrival. Price was reasonable for a city centre location. Chap on desk gave us good directions for eating out. Having parking on site was good

Review 4：Quiet, good location, helpful warden who put new batteries in my heating thermostat within minutes of asking, large clean shared kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, tv in room, comfortable, warm bed with clean linen and towels provided.
Review 5：No reception, i had to call a number in order to get hold of the warden, after several minutes of waiting i was told that i could only stay for 1 day despite reserving for 2 days. The tv in the room didnt work. Heating didnt work, water was too hot. And premises has no wifi as indicated on website. Worst experiences ever in a hotel.

Review 7：Ur urgent attention is needed. Despite having booked a bed, I was unable to enter the building!!! There was no way of attracting the attention of anyone inside & no telephone contact detail online. Hence I was forced to wander around the town centre to find alternative accommodation, which proved very difficult to locate.I hope that my credit card has not been debited. Please confirm that it has not or else kindly arrange for me to be refunded!!!!!!!
Review 8：Very, very basic. No hot water or working light in tiny bathroom. No internet. Shabby decore. Quite smelly. Cheap at £32 per night (only place I could get at short notice) but I've stayed at much nicer places for around the same price.

Review 11：The reception arrangements were poor. The bedside lights did not work in a number of rooms. The curtains were not a good fit. One of my group could only get cold water in the shower. It was what it is - student accommodation and this should have been made clear in the booking details. It was a low price but not sufficient to balance the defects.

Review 15：The so called bathroom was very small and only suitable for children. The hot water was too hot and you could not adjust the temperature. The curtain in the rooms would not close so alas I hardly got any sleep. It does not help not having any staff on site to deal with issues and even though you can make a call, you would have to wait 10 minutes. No chairs, no bulbs initially but the latter was sorted after a call out. Not suitable for those who have mobility issues due to the stairs to the room. This must be made aware to potential renters.

Review 19：If driving, a bit tricky to locate the building and its parking area first time which is off the one-way Earl Street, on the right, but be careful not to overshoot!
Review 20：Clean, quiet and simple; just as promoted (though linen and towels are provided and not charged for, as intimated on booking.com website). Excellent for a simple overnight stay in the centre of the town. Near the Abbey, local coffee shops and pubs in historic buildings. Glad I made arrangements for late arrival so that the very friendly Martin was in position to give access!

Review 23：There is no wifi as advertised. The manager told me that Booking.com have been advised of this but haven't changed the description. The house feels like a hostel - very institutional. I didn't feel safe as no one on site and my room was along an unlit corridor. I had to find the Kitchen myself and couldn't access the lounge as internal doors locked. The room itself was recently decorated and was fine though very basic. However still smells of paint. The bed was very poor standard, flimsy with cheap mattress and not at all suitable for this purpose. The ensuite 'bathroom' was a disgrace. It was a tacky plastic unit, very tiny with only standing room, a half sized hand basin and shower, no hot water and pubic hairs in the shower area. All in all, it felt like a prison cell and I immediately cancelled my second night. Although this is budget accommodation and you don't expect frills, you do expect a reasonable standard.
