Reviews for St Agnes Hotel

Review 1:Staff were excellent, Bill (the landlord) was always around and checked daily that everything was ok for us. Good breakfast, quality ingredients. Sizeable, comfortable room. Good bed. Lovely range of beers (ales) in the bar downstairs. Would definitely stay again.

Review 2:Nothing to not like!

Review 3:The whole atmosphere of the Hotel is fantastic. The owners Bill and Diane and their staff were as helpful as they could be and smil d through everything that an incredibly busy Christmas holiday could throw at them.

Review 4:Lovely atmosphere. Great staff. Landlord was an absolute hoot. Had a great stay. Food was excellent room was very comfortable. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely go back.

Review 5:Staff very friendly and helpful and the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The village situation was picturesque and within easy distance to other areas of interest in Cornwall. Was interesting to watch the traffic maneuvers in the narrow street.

Review 6:Rooms are tired and need refurbishment - shower has no pressure - heating was not working but was sorted quickly by Bill and his plumber.

Review 7:We loved the location - just right for walking and in the centre of a beautiful village. Food was excellent.?

Review 8:Bathroom.. Cold, no heating, dated not well cleaned. No heating working until I complained.. Room on the 2 floor lots of stairs doors and busy pub to walk through with your stuff. Parking at the back often full.. No breakfast available before 8 am,since I had to leave at 7.30 for work I never had it.

Review 9:Location was good. Room was nice

Review 10:Staff very friendly, loved the location and facilities in the town too. We sadly took our key home and sent it back as soon as we realised. Never meant to do that.

Review 11:Breakfast unfortunately no fresh fruit or yoghurt were offered.Toast was only one slice and buttered. Service generally was erratic. Electrics in room were untidy ie: TV wires Hanging down the wall TV remote control was unreadable.

Review 12:Very good food nicely presented.

Review 13:we came back after midnight had key for back door but inside was pitch black couldn't see , the room wasn't the one i booked on line. the area for hanging clothes was a cupboard in the wall not much room and the wall had holes in it

Review 14:breakfast was nice , room was ok and clean but not worth the money stayed in nicer for less

Review 15:Bed fixings need to be tightened up. No biscuits. Door banging all day and nite needs sorting out. Shower tray plug hole needs sorting does not drain away very good

Review 16:Location

Review 17:The customer service is first class! Very warm and friendly staff and the owner is lovely. We came to stay as we were attending a wedding a few miles away and we are so pleased we chose The St Agnes Hotel. No request was too small and everyone was very helpful. The breakfast was perfect. A nice selection of cereals and some fruit juice and then I have to recommend both the Full Cornish Breakfast and the Smoked Salmon with Scrambled eggs on toast! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Would recommend to anyone.

Review 18:The room, and particularly the bathroom, needs a bit of refurbishment. Although it was probably cleaned well, when paint is peeling and grouting has become discoloured by mould, it doesn't give a sparkling impression. I appreciate that we are paying for the location, but for the price you expect more of the room.

Review 19:The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good.

Review 20:Very busy street in front of hotel and wifi in room was not very good.

Review 21:Lovely, spacious and comfortable room and modern en-suite bathroom. Great tea making facilities, comfortable beds. Car park and nice beer garden in back. Great food in the lovely pub and excellent breakfast. We felt very comfortable and welcome!
