Reviews for Quality Hotel Bordeaux Centre

Review 1:What's not to love about this hotel! Location was right in the middle of the 'old town'. Great comfy bed and pillows. Staff gave excellent suggestions for dining, and very closely located to the hotel. Service was very good, rooms cleaned promptly & lovely fresh towels, and good internet connections. This will be our 'go to' hotel in Bordeaux from now on.

Review 2:Bathroom and room is smaller but it's Europe! Bathtub is very tall and getting out is tricky as there are no handles to support yourself. Young or old this is dangerous. Older people for sure would not be Able to use bath shower. My parents for example.

Review 3:Location supreme. Quiet rooms on 4 th floor at least Clean. Great comfortable bed. Really nice bar area for hanging out if you had a group. Very friendly desk clerks. Loved the bath soaps shampoos

Review 4:Excellent location, you wont find better value for money in the citycentre of bordeaux, you are right next to everything. Rooms are not huge but enough for 2 people, bathroom is relatively spacious. And the best is that they provide you with fair trade products (shampoo, etc).

Review 5:Not ideal if arriving by car, costly overnight parking nearby but would consider leaving car out of town and travelling in on the brilliant tram service. WiFi didn't work on 5th floor and mentioned to staff.

Review 6:Good city centre hotel, great location for shopping and restaurants.

Review 7:Returned to the hotel at 10pm and there was no one to be found at reception or in the entrance / bar area. We were able to walk straight into the lift and up to the accommodation floors - so not as secure as we would have liked.

Review 8:We had a quiet room 312 (there is an option to select this on the booking form) as it is a busy location and there would be potential for noise. So very pleased to get a room as requested. Young, charming staff.

Review 9:Not the hotels fault but parking in Bordeaux centre is difficult.

Review 10:Location fantastic, in the heart of the town but 5th floor room was quiet. The room wasn't big but it was spotlessly clean, newly furnished and well equipped. Bathroom the same. Great value.

Review 11:Room located on corner of st Catherine & rue de parliament, 6.15am lots of noise from street cleaning, bin Lorry's et, not appreciated when trying to relax for a couple of days

Review 12:Everything except what is noted below

Review 13:The clips that take the hangers in the wardrobe area were worn (poor design in plastic - they need to be metal) and would not support an outdoor jacket. I informed the front desk and they assured me they would remedy the problem - I believe they will.

Review 14:All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and in a good state of décor. The rooms were well appointed with complimentary water, coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. The buffet breakfast, whilst a little expensive at €14 per person, was very good and included a wide range of options, hot and cold. The staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. Located right I the middle of the city in a pedestrian precinct, you could reach most of the city sights on foot and a public tram system was available close by for further afield - and our rooms were beautifully quiet during the night.

Review 15:Excellent position for the City centre, shops, bars, trams etc. Helpful staff and very clean. Very quite considering it's location. We had breakfast out as we thought 14 euros a bit pricey, plenty of local bars nearby serving breakfast. Would definitely go back! We love Bordeaux!

Review 16:The lighting is a little frugal and the space between the bed and the desk is very tight unless you remove the desk chair. The self closing room doors bang when shutting, which can be a bit noisy. But it wouldn't stop me coming back.

Review 17:Clean room, very comfortable king size bed, rooms at the back are very quiet, very friendly staff. Excellent central position.

Review 18:We booked without breakfast, because 14 EUR seemed a little pricey. That's right, there are a lot of alternatives to eat out within a few steps of the hotel.

Review 19:The hotel has a perfect location for city trips, immaculate clean and silent rooms with modern facilities, kind staff. It is in the pedestrian zone, so there is no regular traffic, but you can find public transportation in walking distance.

Review 20:The hotel is in a pedestrian zone. We had to park our car in a garage, which is about 15 minutes away from the hotel and drag our suitcases through town.

Review 21:The hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is really good.

Review 22:room next to breakfast kitchen kept awake from 5.45 aircon stuck on hot window broken would not shut so kept away all night.its a shame really we live in france and go to bordeaux every year in this hotel but we wont be staying here again. disappointment

Review 23:great location

Review 24:we felt very comfortable in the room and at the hotel in general, the location is excellent for visiting the old town of Bordeaux, which we really loved, so thank you

Review 25:No parking and very hard to find. Almost cost me €80 in fines trying to drive there... Need to park in one of the big parking places and walk

Review 26:nice central location in the old town

Review 27:Rooms small but guess that's typical for Europe

Review 28:modern, neat and tidy. Good roof top view from level 5. Awesome location, taxi drops you straight to the door. Staff very helpful and friendly

Review 29:A/C turned off for season, room was hot with no way to vent for cool air. Only one luggage rack.

Review 30:Clean, coffee maker, quiet even with street noise. Good location to shopping, tram, food services. Friendly, helpful staff.

Review 31:Nice place right in the centre of town, but good luck with finding it via GPS. It is located in a mall area and the roads are closed off, so the best thing to do is find a car park on the street nearby and walk to the hotel to check in and get directions for the carpark at a nearby shopping centre. Modern and clean and friendly and helpful staff.

Review 32:Breakfast too expensive (use one of the adjacent cafes instead), night staff tried to charge breakfast and room tax twice.

Review 33:Decent hotel in the center of old-town-Bordeaux. Good tram connection, nice rooms.

Review 34:AC & Heating centrally managed. The room was to hot, but the AC was already switched off and the system would only heat.

Review 35:Very close to the city center

Review 36:The parking: when I got there they told me to use a public parking but then refused to get me a discount. So a nice 40€ extra for parking: next time I'll book in a better hotel and end up paying the same with parking included!

Review 37:Faint bad smell in toilet, which was at least separate from bathroom. Everything else good!

Review 38:Excellent central location, very comfortable bed, Nespresso machine in bedroom, working airconditioning

Review 39:Only three coffee pods in room and not able to get anymore at reception even tho offered to pay

Review 40:Location everything on your doorstep, bed very comfy and everything you need in room

Review 41:Lovely motel for a reasonable price. Excellent position in city centre, but quiet. Can easily explore Bordeaux from here, walking or trams. Good breakfasts. Good free wifi as well as computer & printing facilities. Staff was excellentespecially at reception. They sorted out happily a mistake I had made with my booking.

Review 42:The room next to the kitchen with no sound isolation. It was ridiculously noisy at 6 am on a Sunday morning.

Review 43:The architecture of the area is nice but the nightlife in downtown Bordeaux looked very dodgy.

Review 44:The breakfast is of terrible quality and also really expensive (14 euros per person). For that price I would expect more than pastries, juice and coffee. If you are travelling by car this is not the most convenient hotel as the city centre can't be accessed by car during most of the day.

Review 45:The hotel has a perfect location close to all main sights in Bordeaux. The rooms are really small but pretty and comfortable.

Review 46:The bath was very difficult to get in and out of, and would be unsuitable for elderly or infirm people.

Review 47:This hotel is in the heart of Bordeaux, in the retail pedestrian area, and a short walk to the lively river area and a street full of cafes and restaurants. We arrived late after a long wait for the public airport bus which dropped us a fair way from the property - our welcome was warm and empathetic! The room was small; however, it was comfortable with adequate facilities including a Nespresso machine. The location is great, and the décor is contemporary. It is ideal for a short stay with minimal luggage.

Review 48:We have nothing to complain about!! It was a very positive experience.

Review 49:What stands out is how helpful and accommodating the staff are, nespressos in the room, and the location!

Review 50:Hens night had young women noisily running between rooms and screaming out. Had to wait an hour before receiving our dinner.

Review 51:Standard and cleanliness of room and staff friendly

Review 52:Unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel we were told that there was a "problem" with the room and therefore would have to stay at another hotel. This was not ideal considering we were only in Bordeaux for the evening and we had booked this hotel in particular. This would not have been such a problem had the receptionist at least been apologetic for the inconvenience. We had taken a cab to the hotel as it was relatively late and raining which turned out to be irreleavnt as we were not staying there anyway. It would have been nice if they had informed us in advance.

Review 53:Quality Hotel Bordeaux Centre, Bordeaux France This is a lovely hotel in a great location. You are 2 blocks from the Grand Hotel and Opera House. You are 1/2 block off rue Catherine where all the shops are including Gallerie Lafayette. You are 2 blocks from the B tram that can take you quickly, (2 or 3 stops) to right outside of where the river cruises leave. The bedrooms are a nice size and have nice amenities and very clean. The beds are very comfortable with lovely linens and pillows. The front desk folks are lovely, speak English very well and helped us get dinner reservations for a reasonable cost and at reasonable hour despite being a friday night. They also sell the tram tickets so you don't have to worry about figuring it out at the stop. Don't bother looking anywhere else in Bordeaux for a lovely, and well priced hotel.

Review 54:No complaints

Review 55:We were greeted by a delightful man on reception who couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic attention to detail in a very comfortable room

Review 56:Not really a problem but the elevators are annoyingly slow!

Review 57:Fantastic location. Clean, spacious and confortable rooms. Very helpful staff, they saved me from taking the wrong bus and maybe losing my flight back.

Review 58:Be aware that the windows in some of the rooms are extremely small... compensated by another one in the ceiling, but nevertheless...

Review 59:Great hotel in a marvellous location!

Review 60:The bar was not great and the staff there did not really know what they were doing!

Review 61:Great location, very central to shops, tourist attractions and restaurants. Rooms very comfortable with airconditioning. Breakfast was great value with lots of choice.

Review 62:No coffee making facilities in room as machine was broken and taken away. However, staff would bring coffee when asked.

Review 63:Central location yet quiet. There was a safe in the room for valuables. Perfect for exploring beautiful Bordeaux.

Review 64:Put next to lift. Air con v noisy pillows v cheap no firmness. Breakfast cereals v unhealthy all sugar no zero percent nat yoghurt. Dogs allowed no differentiation in rooms those where dirty flea dogs allowed and those where no dogs ever allowed. Lots of noise of partying coming from st thro the night

Review 65:The view from our room but this was expected since we were downtown.

Review 66:Location was the key for us because we like to do a lot of walking during our visits. This hotel is really in the heart of Bordeaux & close to every main attraction.

Review 67:They provide a coffee machine and three capsules for it, one of which is caffeine-free. Once used, that's it -- as with the three tea bags, they are not replaced. Also we felt the shower in the bath might be a safety hazard for older or physically unstable people. The sides of the bath are high and it's quite a drop to get out of the shower.

Review 68:It's clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet and right in the heart of Bordeaux city.

Review 69:Staff was extremely helpful with directions/calling taxi forus/able to furnish tkts for tram/train. Rooms fairly small butadequate & typical for European travel. Great location!! Loved it!!!Would definitely stay there again if visiting Bordeaux.

Review 70:Absolutely nothing!

Review 71:Quiet location right in city centre. Very clean Courteous and helpful staff Nothing was too much trouble Excellent value for money for our 4 day break

Review 72:Nothing

Review 73:The location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants -all close by. We were also able to walk down to the river at night and see the beautiful mirror effect the

Review 74:The sofa bed and walking to the car park - with children and luggage, it requires a bit of organisation.

Review 75:Location was excellent to explore the city. Our room was nice and clean too!

Review 76:Not possible to park the car close to the hotel, closest garage approximately 300 meters away. Small rooms.

Review 77:Really in the city centre, close to restaurants, sights and the river bank.

Review 78:No access to hotel with a car

Review 79:Access to this hotel is diabolical. We had a rental car and couldn't find the hotel for. Ages. Streets closed to traffic from 5pm to 8pm so we were tearing our hair out. Trams, one way streets and then the hotel room is tony and bed only a small dale. If had time again would book hotel nearer airport and bus into city which is lovely in the old town. At least hotel is close to the old town.

Review 80:Really excellent location for the old town of Bordeaux; in a pedestrian area so no traffic noise. Very helpful and cheery staff. Room on the small side but clean and comfortable. Good choice at breakfast.

Review 81:We had no bad experiences

Review 82:The location in the central pedestrian zone of the city was excellent and the overnight silence a joy. It was an easy walk to restaurants and the tourist office (departure point of many tours). The room was quite spacious for a hotel at this price level and was comfortable and well serviced. The reception staff were helpful and cheerful.

Review 83:The only thing I would change would be to have tea-making facilities in the room in addition to the Nespresso machine (for us tourists from the UK! :) )

Review 84:Perfect location. Very comfortable, spacious room.

Review 85:The location is outstanding. The staff were helpful, the rooms were small but luxurious. We would definitely stay there again. We had a great experience.

Review 86:expensive breakfast so ate elsewhere more cheaply

Review 87:Fantastic location, very convenient for shops, supermarket, old town and river. Quiet room with wi-fi and flat screen TV. Clean and comfortable and room cleaned every day with fresh towels. Would stay again.

Review 88:The location could not have been better. Central to everything, I will definitley stay here again when I am next in Bordeaux. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, wifi easy to access, and being able to make a nespresso in the morning, just like being at home!

Review 89:The rooms we had were so small there was nowhere to have two suitcases open. We had one suitcase in an alcove and another on a small chair.

Review 90:The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast offered an elaborate selection of choices, but many guests preferred the 9:00am time slot, resulting in empty food containers and waiting for a table to open up. At 8:00am you might have the room to yourself.

Review 91:Was a bit expensive but i think that it was because of Vinexpo which i also atteded

Review 92:Location, personnel, cleaness, bathroom and products like soap and shovergel

Review 93:Distant from parking...but that's the price you pay for staying in the pedestrianized part of the city. At 14 euros, I never considered taking a chance on the hotel breakfast when you can just walk down the street and get a full breakfast for half that price.

Review 94:Great location in the center of the city and a very comfortable, modern, well-appointed room.

Review 95:The breakfast is quite basic for 14 euro. If not included in the room rate, better find something else. Also, there was a small problem at check-out: we opted for breakfast and prepaid it, but they only asked about it at check-out and insisted that booking.com does not offer a breakfast option. After a little checking and double checking they managed to find it in the reservation and everything was ok. To avoid any confusion, i suggest paying for the breakfast at the hotel. Also, internet service kept asking me to agree to usage terms every time i used wifi after more than 15 min inactivity period.

Review 96:The location is excellent and the rooms are comfortable. Nice amenities (including a nespresso machine) and very helpful front desk people. Free wifi and speedy check-in.

Review 97:Good location, friendly staff, good/fast/reliable wi-fi, comfortable bed and pillows, clean and shiny bathroom, fast checkin and checkout, Nespresso machine in the room.

Review 98:Room a bit dark but it did not bother me at all.

Review 99:Very clean room Nice shower Comfortable bed High end coffee machine in the room! A real pleasure Quiet at night (I did not have a room that was facing the street)

Review 100:No issues of concern

Review 101:Reception staff were efficient and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Room was spotlessly clean and bed comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. Location is perfect for Central Bordeaux. Breakfast was plentiful and room clean. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Review 102:We loved the central , historic location of our hotel. It was very close to great eating spots and the hop on/ off tourist bus which opened the city up for us. Would definitely recommend this Hotel ....

Review 103:Hotel is in the pedestrian shopping district. We were very glad we got rid of our car as it is difficult to get into this area unless you are walking. Staff was helpful when asked about anything however, we checked in on a night when there were major fireworks scheduled for around 11 at night and never mentioned this.

Review 104:It was convenient walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

Review 105:This hotel is located in a perfect location. It is within walking distance to everything you may need. The staff is very friendly, the room was comfortable, we had a great view and the bathroom was more than adequate.

Review 106:The difficulty in getting access by car for less able people. Taxis have access but when friends were picking us up it was very difficult. The wc was very cramped.

Review 107:Central location. Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 108:None

Review 109:In particular top class linen, cosy beds, Nespresso machine, free water in fridge. Small room but well kitted out and in the centre of everything. Highly recommend.

Review 110:The public areas are quite limited bu that does not really matter given the choice of surrounding eating places

Review 111:Good location in a pleasant part of the old city near the Grand Theatre.

Review 112:Was a bit noisy from street at times but not a major problem,

Review 113:Location was good and room was reasonable size for France. Staff were very nice and friendly

Review 114:Nothing!

Review 115:Location perfect and room very comfortable. Had a separate toilet which was unusual but useful. Free wifi worked well. Nespresso in the room and whilst it wasn't topped up the next morning we were able to get more pods from reception. Reception were amazing! As we checked out we were looking to leave our bags there (flight not until 10.30pm) and as they had no others checking in they offered for us to keep the room until we left - no charge! I've never had this before and was so wonderful to freshen up before our flight. Greatly appreciated!

Review 116:Location - whilst I expect some noise in a city centre location, didn't enjoy being woken at 7am on Saturday by builders working on the shop below

Review 117:Location - right in centre of everything going on

Review 118:Hotel and room were really overheated. My room was too warm to sleep in. Despite assuring me 4 days in a row that they would lower temp in my room - they never did. I slept, poorly, with windows wide open ... Despite the insects and the occasional fear about safety (terrace right outside room).

Review 119:Great location. Good staff and facilities. ample breakfast. Complimentary wifi.

Review 120:Wifi keeps dropping out which was a bit annoying, but it was free and decent signal when you connected. No kettle in room, although could get hot water from coffee machine this was not quite hot enough for a good cup of tea :) also paper cups instead of real ones!

Review 121:The location was perfect - right in the middle of shops and restaurants but in the rooms it was really quiet so you forgot you were in the middle of it all once in your room. Room is very clean with good facilities (great coffee machine but no kettle). Staff are helpful.

Review 122:I didn't like at all the bed, not comfortable, it was very hard to fall asleep.

Review 123:Location is perfect, the stuff is helpful and friendly, nice room, very quiet

Review 124:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 125:The staff were so welcoming and helpful, nothing was ever a problem. It is also extremely conveniently located yet still quiet. Comfortable room, lovely breakfast options. Will stay here again!

Review 126:Not a bad experience, but breakfast was WAY too expensive! We went out and had the most devine big breakfast incl juice and coffee for the same price.

Review 127:Location, it was in just the right spot for what we had planned that weekend

Review 128:For 107 Euro the 2 person room, excluding a 14 euro breakfast per person, is far too small, no space for luggage. Small window, feel tucked away in a big size closet....not to be re booked. Bordeaux has much more to offer for this amount of money...:(

Review 129:Location. easily access to theaters, shopping area and many restaurants and bars on walking distance.

Review 130:A bit far from the parking place and the tram station. we need to do a long walk while it was raining

Review 131:the rooms were nice and clean, the staff was very helpful. very close to lots of stores and restaurant easy to find.

Review 132:TV was not working, and even though I claimed the case, the solution for TV was never offered, and I stayed for 7 days! I could not use laundry service. I let my clothes for 3 days, and finally they "informed" me that the receptionist was young, and she did not know, that people from laundry service are on holiday, and imagine was only was middle of week (working days) The breakfast was terrible, with very limited options. The food service in room, did not respond well. I ordered dinner at 10:00 PM, at there was no service, even though it said that it works until 10:30 pm.

Review 133:Location.
