Reviews for Premier Inn Ashford Central

Review 1:Wild have preferred to have sockets either side of the bed

Review 2:Loved how comfy the beds were and how spacious our room was the breakfast we had across the road was very good and a great add on price

Review 3:I arrived at 1am due to car break down and the night receptionist was really helpful and also took some if my cases to the room on second floor. He also booked a taxi for me in advance which arrived on time. I don't do breakfast but like to buy a coffee, this facility was not available at the pub attached to the hotel as they said the coffee machine was broken, went back to reception to wait for taxi and receptionist made me a coffee. Made me wonder why the pub wouldn't let me buy a filter coffee they were serving with the breakfasts? Premier inn and staff were brilliant Thanks

Review 4:We arrived when the place had been newly repainted, felt a little lightheaded frim the fumes.

Review 5:Parking was easy, location great, staff were cheery even when we arrived at midnight.

Review 6:Only one comfy chair when the room was for 2 Desk chair does count as a comfy chair Direction signs from road into hotel were hard to see

Review 7:Good size room Comfortable bed Good size bathroom with bath Clean Friendly staff

Review 8:Room booking was incorrect and a singl occupancy room had been reserved. I had booked a quad room . The hotel was full and receptionist was rather dismissive and blamed booking.com. We were given room 35 that was closed for maintenance . Room was adequate and comfortable but very unsettling when travelling with children to have an incorrect booking

Review 9:Comfortable rooms and good location for Euro tunnel

Review 10:I had to catch a taxi to the facility from the station- information on bus routes would be helpful when booking made.

Review 11:The staff were customer focused. My brother said the water was cold in their shower the staff reported it to maintenance to have it rectified. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked English breakfast..

Review 12:Bed too soft for me! There was a problem with our hot water - only warm and a trickle in the shower. We told the receptionist but, because it was late in the day, she was unable to get it fixed.

Review 13:The breakfast hostess over heard us talking about the water problem in our room and reported it immediately. This did not help us as we were only there for one night but, hopefully, prevented someone else from having the same problem.

Review 14:The hotel used the pub opposite for food. We waited ages to get served staff were chatting together ignoring customers.

Review 15:We stayed overnight returning from Europe. The Location of hotel was near to the Tunnel and easy to find. Parking was good. Rooms were adequate beds were comfy. Staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly.

Review 16:We are in the restaurant. We both had salmon and asparagus salad. The quality was not good. However, the continental breakfast was excellent.

Review 17:Brandon on reception was excellent. Efficient and polite without being obsequious. Room beautifully clean and well equipped.

Review 18:Noisy family upstairs above. . . . .kids jumping off the beds at 04:30 am, two nights running!! Families with young children should be placed on ground floor where possible.

Review 19:Room was big and comfy ! Everything we needed was in the room including extra pillows !! Quite location with great restaurant right next door which had very friendly staff and lovely food !!

Review 20:Children's bed were really hard and lumpy which kept them up through the night! Drilling or some sort of maintance going on next door or serious noisy neighbours! Early hours on a Sunday! This don't help especially when asked for top floor!

Review 21:Constant hot water lovely big double bed!

Review 22:Although the rooms had been block booked for two nights for a wedding, because of a difference in price between the two nights, we had to rebook in the next day although we were theoretically already booked in. Two people actually had to change their room which seemed ridiculous! Also we couldn't rebook in until 12 pm!

Review 23:Good value for money. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff at restaurant. Excellent cooked breakfast

Review 24:Prefer to eat in hotel restaurant. Wanted to use a computer but there was no facilities.

Review 25:The room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable, so much so i am going to buy a mattress from Hypnos. I always recommend Premier Inn to my friends and family.

Review 26:Entrance isn't completely obvious from the main road as you have to drive through a car park around the back. Just a little niggle.

Review 27:The beds! So comfortable. The lighting is flattering (great if you're using this for getting ready for an event/wedding/party). The shower/bath is so easy to use even for younger children. The layout works for families, especially with the two single beds rather than one double. The breakfast is brilliant (including the service at breakfast). The location isn't picturesque but it's perfect for peace and quiet.

Review 28:The breakfast experience was very poor, was not given any proper information about ordering and had to wait for ages for our food.

Review 29:The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable.

Review 30:The food was very poor - it was over cooked and dry. The children's beds were hard, so they didn't sleep well that night

Review 31:Location to the Euro tunnel was excellent

Review 32:Hot water was totally missing the whole weekend. That should not happend - it must be possible to fix in a day.

Review 33:Nice big room with one big bed, and one small.

Review 34:Needed a couple of drawers in room. Quilts were quite thick for a warm night (but we could, of course, have asked for thinner maybe - but was only there one night)

Review 35:Locality to McDonalds (for children!) and also the Table Table restaurant by hotel. Easy, also, to get on to main road to take us on to Hythe.

Review 36:I found the pillows a little firm for me, and our mattress seemed to move a lot if one of us turned over, minor things!

Review 37:The staff were friendly, the room very clean, good facilities

Review 38:Nothing

Review 39:The guy on reception when we arrived was cheerful and very accommodating, didn't have a table at the time we wanted for dinner but later found one and came to our room to let us know

Review 40:The room was quite large, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and we appreciated to have dinner here as we were tired after a long day at Leeds castle!

Review 41:Polish lady boss -she was on the phone just outside my door yellingyet l had just gonE to bed after a night shift .nil apology offered.how rude !!!

Review 42:The only thing we found to be a problem was after a very long and tiring trip from Plymouth we arrived at 3 pm to be told our room wasn't ready we were informed that check-in was 2nd

Review 43:The room was comfortable clean and spacious the breakfast was good

Review 44:Location was perfect for our needs. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Room was upto the usual standard of other Premier Inns - Excellent. We will be going back.

Review 45:The front of the cabinet in bathroom fell off and laded on my foot as soon as we arrived and the people above us were constantly banging on the floor as if moving furniture around and kept us awake half the night

Review 46:Spacious

Review 47:Breakfast staff very friendly but all felt rather school canteen-ish -which let down a good service from the motel.

Review 48:The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and happy to chat and give information about Ashford.

Review 49:There were no dislikes; the only minor issue was with a curtain rail that wasn't secure but staff dealt with this promptly.

Review 50:Staff very helpful and accommodating. Booking in fast and efficient, Clean and comfortable room

Review 51:There isn't anything I could complain about. It did what it says on the tin

Review 52:Breakfast was delicious. Costa coffee which I love. Fresh fruit and everything expect in a 5 star property as far as breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Food area kept clean and tidy Bedroom spotless ☺️

Review 53:After a day feeling under the weather and a long journey through France ahead of us, a good night's sleep was so important. Thank you for just that

Review 54:Quiet comfortable room with all the basic amenities. Restaurant across the car park served value for money menu and breakfast included in our room charge was excellent. Staff seemed keen to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Review 55:I had to use the help line to access wifi. The infrastructure of the service is useless. If you pay you should log straight in.

Review 56:Staff were fine. Did their job.

Review 57:Had a room (room 22) by the main thoroughfare door and it banged everytime someone walked through. Didn't hear it through the night though

Review 58:Location for me was great, resturant just outside

Review 59:We arrived hungry at 7 p.m on Friday evening and wanted to go for dinner at Table table straight away but were told that we had to wait till 8 pm as it was ful. When we arrived at 8 it didn't seem very busy. The staff were friendly and the food was ok. I didn't like the fixed shower over the bath as it means you can't wash yourself without doing a handstand under the shower.

Review 60:Very handy for the channel tunnel: only two motorstops away. Lovely big room with comfortable bed. Good value for money

Review 61:Can be a very noisy hotel as the sound proofing is really poor. You can hear almost everything at night from the rooms upstairs/downstairs. Had an extremely poor nights sleep. But I would say that was the fault of other guests and not the hotel itself.

Review 62:Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Value for money

Review 63:the pub restaurant part is an issue for us. the manageress there was so unhelpful andd unfriedly compared tp the hotel manageress. the bar staff need to be told the customer comes first ahead of their private conversations and other things they might be doing

Review 64:Non functioning WiFi and no attempt at resolution, provide a basic service for a premium price

Review 65:Seem to think that if they provide a comfortable bed all the other things they fail to deliver on you won't notice!

Review 66:Staff at the bar restaurant across the car park ( Table Table) were not helpful and prices for breakfast were a quite high. Would have been better going to McDonalds.

Review 67:Staff at the Premier Inn extremely friendly and helpful, giving directions to a local event we were attending. The hotel is excellently situated for the retail outlet

Review 68:Mattresses seem cheaper than before. We asked the reception staff about this who said "the mattresses are being changed in line with current policy" but the mattress in room 49 was not of the usual standard we've had before

Review 69:Large TV, better clothes space, useable make-up mirror.

Review 70:disgraceful uncomfortable bed not as advertised. Continuous noise from upper rooms .lack of insulation between floors. complained about this before but nothing done about it

Review 71:staff helpful

Review 72:Only down side for us was having to order cooked breakfast . Continental is help yourself (I prefer help yourself). However is was lush and very quick. Just doubt many people would ask for extra if still peckish!!

Review 73:Booked to visit designer outlet village. Only 5 mins in the car from this hotel. Usual excellent comfort from premier inn. Price slightly high compared to others , however to be expected as location great for channel tunnel ect . Breakfast is lush and extra bonus for me is 12 pm check out. Love a long lie in the morning.

Review 74:We were in disabled room ( was available room) but shower was very poor: little water, controls difficult to use. If we had been disabled it would have been impossible.

Review 75:The room lay out was very off centre and the room space could be better ureaterlised

Review 76:Nice hotel and good location the walls are a little thin thou and could hear our neighbours. M the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Great check out time aswell gave us plenty of time

Review 77:Too far away from the Center of Ashford, the 'name' implies it is nearby. Very few shops/cafe's etc. within walking distance of the hotel.

Review 78:Friendly staff. Very clean. Comfortable bed & room Good parking facilities.

Review 79:Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great if you just want a place on the edge of town. On site restaurant delivers edible food for a good price. Breakfast was freshly cooked and even came to the table like that.

Review 80:Pillows - all four were hard. Shower head needed cleaning. Lack of soundproofing between floors - we were aware every time the people upstairs moved! Air conditioning needs attention - it didn't work.

Review 81:Location. Hair dryer. Ease of check-in. Convenient car parking. Convenient restaurant close by.

Review 82:In a room where kids above where jumping off the bed continuously so very noisy. Luck of the draw I guess .....

Review 83:Great location Very clean and tidy, very comfortable

Review 84:There is nothing that we could consider complaining about. Lift perhaps a little slow and bumpy but stairs were perfectly good!

Review 85:Friendly and efficient staff. Booked us a table at the adjoining restaurant the evening we arrived. Great bed and mattress and very clean. Would highly recommend!

Review 86:Very low bed Pillows uncomfortable Nowhere to hang my dress as we were put in disabled room I know it's not part of premier inn but the eating facilitaties in pub/restaurant next to it was very poor to what you usually get

Review 87:Comfy bed Location

Review 88:Noisy because near the Mainroad, also the place looks a little old needs un upgrade, The waterboiler was not clean , we asked for a new one but they all were óld and not clean from the inside, The Card keys for the main doors did not all function, also other customers had the same problem

Review 89:Its on the way to Dover around , there is a OUTLET BIG MALL IN Ashford.

Review 90:We arrived around 10 and found that the restaurant had just stopped serving. There is nowhere else to eat, as the hotel is in the middle of a trading estate. We were reduced to supping with a long spoon in McDonald's. But never mind, we were going to France the next day!

Review 91:The staff on reception were friendly and efficient and the room was exceptionally clean, with a spotless bathroom. The decor was inoffensive--corporate, but it's a Premier Inn, so you expect that. We were only there to get an early train, not for the atmosphere. You can make tea in the rooms, and the place was quiet. It was convenient-ish for Ashford International (in a taxi).

Review 92:Only 30 minutes free internet, and no telephone in the room. For overnight businesmen, better communications could be provided

Review 93:Staff were very helpful

Review 94:Because people stay here to be near the euro tunnel, people were in andout at all times which kept me awake, banging doors etc.

Review 95:Staff very helpful.

Review 96:We couldn't get a meal in the restaurant at 6pm once we had checked in to the hotel with our 5yr old daughter as the restaurant was fully booked. We asked they would serve a bar meal instead but they couldn't even though the bar was empty. So after a 4 hour drive we had to get back into the car to go and find something to eat.

Review 97:Size of disabled room was brilliant as we had to take lots of equipment with us. Staff very helpful both with our pre enquiry and whilst we were there.

Review 98:Location, location, location. We were unfamiliar with Ashford and had somehow thought that "Central" meant that it would be central and therefore close to the train station. It is not. Other than that, it's fine.

Review 99:The room, the shower, the front desk clerk's helpfulness, the comfortable bed, the good breakfast -- all were fine.

Review 100:Room 58 had hardly any hot water when other prople ran their taps. Then sat on toilet seat and it snapped and I am BMI normal!! Not impressed.resturant was over price and vast portions no small menu.

Review 101:Room was a bit small with four beds squashed in but was ok for one night. Wouldn't have liked it if I was staying any longer. Was a bit expensive compared to other premier inns.

Review 102:It was quiet, clean and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice for all of us. Easy check in and check out. No problems. Couldn't hear the traffic from the main road and we were in a room facing the road.

Review 103:We were a little annoyed at the loud music playing in the restaurant during breakfast. This was not a good idea first thing in the morning!

Review 104:The room was very clean and comfortable. The receptionist was welcoming despite it being very late at night when we arrived. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water.

Review 105:The room was clean and set up to sleep 2 adults and 2 children. As we were leaving before breakfast was served it was handy having a 24 hour McDonalds opposite. Even though the hotel is located close to the road we couldn't hear it.

Review 106:A bit remote location, half an hour on foot from the train station. And wifi is only free for 30 minutes, and still requires a signup with your email address, choosing a password... please, we're in 2014.

Review 107:Clean, quiet rooms, helpful staff.

Review 108:The shower was a bit feeble.

Review 109:Very helpful staff in the hotel and the adjacent restaurant. Ideal location for overnight stay before getting ferry next morning.

Review 110:Located on an industrial estate with the only food/drink option being a mediocre bar/restaurant

Review 111:Handy for the channel tunnel. and a lot cheaper than the Folkestone hotels

Review 112:smoking outside the main entrance door, you had to walk through the smoke to get in.

Review 113:excellent location for Eurostar pickup

Review 114:Very noisy room!

Review 115:was very comfortable, clean, modern, wifi, good location onto the motorway, shops and restaurants.

Review 116:The reception area is far too small

Review 117:The location

Review 118:very central to all our needs

Review 119:Excellent service, good food, comfy rooms

Review 120:Shower with low pressure and cold room. Location if you don't have a car hard to get there. No elevator.

Review 121:friendly staff. Room was great.

Review 122:clean premier in, good beds and shower.

Review 123:Had some difficulty in finding the entrance!

Review 124:Very convenient for Ashford International, helpful staff.

Review 125:A little impersonal

Review 126:Location, close to Chunnel

Review 127:Location for Eurostar

Review 128:Beds were really really comfortable, had a fantastic nights sleep :) Staff were very polite and informative
