Reviews for Inter-Hotel Armen Le Triton

Review 1:Never easy to find! Difficult to park at first. Too much room sanitiser used. It was overpowering & did not wear off. Owner informed.

Review 2:Good welcome. Nice room & bedding. very pleasant ambiance overall.

Review 3:No coffee making facility in room. Gardens looked a little neglected.

Review 4:Well located and friendly helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Respect for privacy.

Review 5:The room decor was tired and in need of refurbishment. We were on the top floor and the lift didn't go up that far.

Review 6:It was convenient to the ferry port

Review 7:We picked a weekend when a stag party was staying, there is no sound proofing & no night staff/porter, there was no one to ask them to be a little quieter, ruined what wld have been a good stay. We couldn't wait to leave & we're very ashamed that the stag party were British!

Review 8:Location & value for money

Review 9:Parking difficult if you arrive late. My husband has heart problems so as our room was on the third floor and the lift only goes to the second floor, that was a problem However, we can inform the hotel in future of the problem and I am sure they will accommodate us on lower floor.

Review 10:Friendly staff. Bedroom warm and pleasant and bathroom clean.A very nice overnight stay and will certainly be back.

Review 11:found some noise transmission between rooms & floors.

Review 12:the hotel is situated in centre ville handy for restaurants, shops, and only 5 mins from ferry terminal.

Review 13:We were made welcome and everything was very clean. It was an overnight stay so that we could catch the ferry in the morning. It is within walking distance of the town centre. Lovely hotel

Review 14:Only one member of staff spoke english.Breakfast ,while adequate was somewhat limited in choice

Review 15:It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable and there was no noise at night good night's sleep. Oliver, the owner was friendly.

Review 16:Room was disgusting. My daughter was bitten all over there was graffiti scratched all over the walls. Lights didn't work. A terrible experience

Review 17:Staff were helpful, close to beach and town

Review 18:We didn't arrive very late and just managed to get our car parked. It should be described as a car park with limited space. Don't expect WiFi in the family room we only got it in the corridor and then it was unstable.

Review 19:Getting a family room in Roscoff the night before a ferry is not always easy. It was very convenient and at a reasonable price.

Review 20:There has been a marked deterioration in the facilities over the last 12 months. The bath towels are very threadbare, there wasn't a shower curtain and so water went all over the bathroom floor, the broken panel between our balcony and the next room has not been repaired, and there was no soap next to the sink in the bathroom. Finally, in a three star hotel we would expect there to be tea/coffee making facilities. It is hard to see how three stars are still justified. We have stayed here many times, but basic work needs to be done before we will be enticed back to this hotel again.

Review 21:We have stayed in this hotel a lot over the many years we have travelled through Roscoff and therefore appreciate its good, quiet location.

Review 22:Parking was not satisfactory. Wifi connection very difficult and then there was no signal at all in the room. Latest new "bowl" type handbasin difficult to contain splashes, control of tap/water-flow difficult. Light at entry point which was the only light for shower didn't work. Only 1 hard uncomfortable chair in the room so had to use the bed for seating. From your site we understood this to be a 3 star hotel but it turned out to be a 2 star only.

Review 23:Room was very quiet. Breakfast was good, and good value for money

Review 24:The receptionist agreed a type of room and Price. The next day the owner reneged on the deal and charged us a higher Price. The website is confusing as to type of room.Questionable bathroom cleanliness.

Review 25:Leaving.

Review 26:Thought the room was a little tired, but eh it was the end of season and the paint brushes etc will be out soon..It was

Review 27:It was quiet, central and convenient. Value for the money we paid..

Review 28:Only a small thing but would have got 10/10 if there had been tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

Review 29:Stayed here many times before but this time the rooms had been 'upgraded'. They were flawless. The owners as always very welcoming & the breakfast very good.

Review 30:A laid-back atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, a lovely garden and a very reasonable pricing policy will mean that we shall return to Triton when we cross the channel again!

Review 31:Both rooms had dirty carpeting that made you feel you did not wish to take your shoes off in the room.

Review 32:The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Free wifi is fantastic with teenagers and only five minutes from the centre of lovely Roscoff. Best beds ever too!

Review 33:Breakfast a bit overpriced (9 Euros) for what it is - not a very wide selection. Better options in town if you have time. Exterior of hotel looks a bit tired. No tea/coffee facilities in room.

Review 34:Stayed in a double room on 1st floor, plenty of space for a cot, comfortable bed, friendly staff, short walk to Roscoff beach/quayside. Ideal for 1 night before Ferry.

Review 35:Great location within 5 mins walk of the restaurants. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful providing maps and directions to the town centre and ferry port.

Review 36:wifi was restricted to the reception area

Review 37:very good, helpful staff, excellent breakfast, nice room with balcony after we upgraded. good location walking distance to the main town.

Review 38:Dated decoration; we were up in an attic room and the wallpaper was peeling where I expect rain had come in the window. Broken tiles in the shower. Basically the photo on Booking.com's site was not anything like our room!

Review 39:Good situation, very nice receptionist. Crisp white bed linen.

Review 40:Mostly great, Wifi not available in rooms a bit disappointing but will probably stay again if in Roscoff

Review 41:Friendly staff, great location with parking. Room clean and adequate.

Review 42:Not being able to find it. There is no sign outside that I could see on the road and it is only apparent when you turn into the cul de sac

Review 43:There was a problem with my room at the last minute so they put me in the Hotel Angleterre and gave me a free breakfast. Near the ferry terminal

Review 44:We are an older couple and were given rooms on the top floor - the lift did not go to the top floor. The room was cramped and attic-like, the small double bed was pushed against the wall on one side, the bed blanket had seen better days, shower hard to regulate

Review 45:pet friendly, parking proved OK, staff friendly, excellent location and good for a nights stop over.

Review 46:No tea or coffee facilities in the room Terrible decor Had to shoehorn yourself into the toilet as the bathroom was obviously a conversion Electric sockets hanging off walls Little parking on site No staff or facilities for drinks or snacks in the evenings Beds not comfortable

Review 47:Friendly check-in staff Good location

Review 48:no tea or coffee two sets of basin/bath plugs would not release sub standard taps did not work no shower velux window in one bedroom did not work properly or allow air into what was a loft conversion room. standard of decor appalling for a hotel, more suitable for a poor childrens bedroom. Wallpaper hanging off which could have been repaired easily. More suitable for a cheap youth hostel

Review 49:location

Review 50:There was no one on reception when we arrived and there was no travel cot in the room as requested. Therefore my husband had to unpack the car to retrieve our travel cot which was a significant inconvenience when the baby was very tired when we arrived.

Review 51:The hotel was clean and a good location for the port,

Review 52:TV a little erratic. No tea/coffee making facilities in room Large unsightly damp patch on corridor wall Key did not work properly in the lock Room meant to be soundproofed but not

Review 53:comfortable and spacious bed very friendly owner and staff excellent breakfast

Review 54:This is a hotel we have stayed in for one night on many occasions and with previous owners as well. Nice quiet position close to everything - town centre, the sea and the ferry.

Review 55:Wifi was dismal: inaccessible

Review 56:Comfortable hotel Above all, on the outskirts - within easy walking distance - of Roscoff, a charming little town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants An interesting town: have a look at the main church - it's splendid

Review 57:Stayed in the same room as last year (20) and the electrical socket is *still* hanging out of the wall! (It does work if you feel brave enough to try it.)

Review 58:We've stayed at this hotel several times, both for single nights and for longer stays. It is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. Location is quiet and it is a short stroll either to the beach or into the centre of town where there are plenty of options for eating. Breakfast is self-service buffet with the usual continental items (no hot food) that are kept topped up through the morning.

Review 59:Disappointed to arrive and had to wait half an hour for the owner to arrive at reception to allow us to book in, despite telephoning an internal telephone and speaking to a lady.

Review 60:Excellent location. Good parking

Review 61:we arrived late at night for an overnight stay before we caught the ferry the next day. as the staff members had finished they had left me a note and my key out all ready for me to come and go as i pleased completely fuss free. My 2 dogs stayed in my bed with me all night! I only paid an extra 8 euros for this luxury, and i checked out easily the next morning and paid the bill.

Review 62:poorly staffed reception. I had noisy people upstairs till 2am!, when I went to reception to request another room no one was available, so pressed the bell that phones the night attendant only to find out that the phone had been left on the receptions desk!. no one on reception at 10am to complain to, my key needed to be handed in to a morning cleaner. very bad damp damage one the first floor and exposed wires coming out the wall.

Review 63:good location to the sea.

Review 64:Complete absence of staff. Knew that there was none from 12 - 5pm but,at 5.30 when all the power went off & still no staff, lessaccepting! Couldn't get answer on mob. All was dark. Couldn'tsee to use room facilities. After an hour a prospective customereventually located the fusebox! (Lost lots of prospective customers inthis time). Couldn't get Wi Fi no one to ask, even later in the eve. What happens in an emergency? Had prepaid so saw person at receptionnext am for 30 secs but had to rush for ferry - no time to relategrievances. Have had good reports from others so may be one off. Notquite such a prob had someone been there at 5pm.

Review 65:Walking distance from town centre. Basic, clean & good value.Parking on site.

Review 66:This hotel is in a quiet location with private parking, yet only a few minutes walk to the town centre and port. Beds are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly. Ruth Plymouth

Review 67:The bed was unbelievably hard and so I didn't sleep well. However, hubbie thought it very comfortable!

Review 68:Location c!ose to harbour and restaurants. Very quiet at night. Have stayed here before either straight off the Brittany ferry or on our way home. Breakfast is always good with plenty of choice.

Review 69:Carpet in toilet.Hair dryer did not work. Window would not secure. Had to lock down shutters for security, this left us no daylight.

Review 70:Location and parking.

Review 71:Nothing: all fine.

Review 72:We have stayed here several times and our last visit in May 2014 was a great disappointment: surly staff, unsafe electric points, locked fire escape. We decided to return in September 2014 as it was convenient for our other plans and we were delighted that everything is back to normal high standards of staff and comfort. What a relief!

Review 73:Nobody on reception on arrival - had to use intercom outside the building, connected to an ansaphone in French, then eventually staff member appeared from back of building. Hair dryer in room did not work.

Review 74:Location near to town centre

Review 75:Check in and key collection. without the help of some strangers we would not have been able to access our room that night.(However, the receptionist was extremely apologetic and helpful the following morning and offered us tea and coffee even though we were not having breakfast so went some way towards making up for the disastrous check in experience.)

Review 76:Location, good parking and nice breakfast available. Well signposted in the town.

Review 77:Reception closes around 7 and they leave your key on the desk. door open all night so no security. No access to a kettle or bottled water. Bathroom filthy, dated, carpet stank of stale water and was damp. Carpet in bedroom was really dirty and the whole room stank of stale tobacco. Rude staff who when I rang there bell late evening to tell them someone had left their lights on in carpark basically said tough! Car park was covered in oil/petrol. Grim hotel.

Review 78:comfortable bed but couldn't sleep because the room made my skin crawl.

Review 79:No plug for bath, or shower curtain in a superior room Poor soundproofing-noise from other bedrooms Difficult to park Noisy guests late at night

Review 80:Good bed, and pleasant balcony Separate toilet

Review 81:Desk often unmanned. One couple couldn't check in for several hours and phone went unanswered. No soap or shower gel in bathroom. Took several requests and a day to get shower gel. Never got soap. No hairdryer despite repeated requests. Breakfast ok but items not refilled when ran out. Took a day to get internet code as desk unmanned. No information or instructions in room.

Review 82:Good updated furnishings and shower etc. Good location. Clean. Hotel obviously recently had a major refurbishment. Was light and tastefully decorated.

Review 83:Very tiny room, no room either side of the bed. Capsule toilet and shower together, so toilet gets wet after shower. Room dark.

Review 84:Convenient to Caen City Centre Room was clean and kept clean during our stay

Review 85:small superior room felt it only deserved standard accommodation. hotel does not deserve 3 star rating bath shower was a hand held shower head shabby in places not up to standard not a good experience

Review 86:easy to find !

Review 87:The room was very cramped and small. There was no bath . There was a limited breakfast menu I am a coeliac and there was no gluten free option .

Review 88:I liked the attitude of the manager He was very helpful The location was good near to Roscoff central.

Review 89:Very small room in the third floor, no lift past the 2 floor. Low ceilings sloping eaves, claustrophobic! Charged considerably more to change rooms. Not very helpful.

Review 90:bedrooms could do with updating as look quite tired in the bathrooms no courtesy tray inbedroom offering tea/coffe. information guide said this was available from reception but it would be better if you didn't have to go and ask.

Review 91:comfy beds lovly breakfast tennis court/garden although did not get time to use them

Review 92:Very tired, broken tiles, thin and worn curtains, paper thin walls, damp and grubby hallway, dirty shelves in our bathroom, broken light fittings etc etc. staff not interested when I explained I wasn't happy with the state of the hotel.

Review 93:Convenient location and the shower attachment was powerful although there was no mounting for it.

Review 94:No plug for bath; no shower curtain; broken lampshade in bathroom

Review 95:Really friendly and helpful staff; clean rooms; close to both town and beach; free parking; good breakfast; separate toilet and bathroom; balcony

Review 96:The room we stayed in did not look anything like the room pictured on the internet and was not of the same standard.

Review 97:Location of the hotel to the ferry is excellent. Parking available. We enjoyed the breakfast.

Review 98:No shower No public rooms Often no receptionist Cramped dated bathroom Small room with sloping ceiling

Review 99:Location Cleanliness Easy parking Breakfast

Review 100:No Sunday evening reception at 20.30 (also public holiday) but picked up room key from the desk

Review 101:Good location, good room, view & clean. Optional breakfast

Review 102:Taps and loo flushing heard clearly from adjoining rooms, during night. Damp stains on ceiling a little off putting.

Review 103:Location good for ferry, and Roscoff, breakfast extra.

Review 104:The bathroom carpet smelt unhygienic. The basin plug did not function. 24 hour service was through an intercom. No bar of any kind.

Review 105:The garden was attractive but had no seating

Review 106:The room was adequate but very small to have bunks in as well. There was a loose electrical wire by the bunks and a bedside light not working. All in all basic but not as clean and well presented as say, Premier Inn! 95 euros was a lot to pay for this standard of accommodation.

Review 107:We were able to book a double bed just 24 hours before - it was in a family room so obviously that increased the price. We arrived late and there was a nice note left at reception with the room key. We just squeezed into the car park by moving a recycling bin...

Review 108:The staff had difficulty finding out Booking.com reservation. This made paying difficult also as they were unsure of what to charge us. The reservation was there, just hard to find when busy.

Review 109:There was a lock up garage for our cycles. The breakfast was lovely & well worth the 9 euros. The staff chilled out bottle of cider for us.

Review 110:Water for tea at breakfast was only luke warm not boiling. Milk provided for breakfast tea was warm and should be cold. Choice of at least ten types of tea would have been great if only the water had been boiling. Years ago this hotel provided tea in individual tea pots with boiling water and an additional jug of boiling water.

Review 111:A comfortable room with a view over the garden in a quiet area of town but walking distance to the centre of Roscoff and its restaurants, shops and the port and ferry terminal. Pleasant staff.

Review 112:Basic accommodation but that's about the only 'negative'.

Review 113:Clean and good value. Convenient for town and port. Would stay again without hesitation.

Review 114:a bit tired around the edges but this reflected in price.

Review 115:clean freindly and welcoming. Excellent position and great parking. big family room for 4. retains some french charm!!!

Review 116:The Hotel is dated and needs modernising.

Review 117:The Manager/staff were very helpful, friendly. The rooms are clean and well equiped with everything for a stopover. It is in a good location, easy to the Town and restaurants.

Review 118:very warm friendly atmosphere. convenient to port and excellent location to town and wonderful restaurants.

Review 119:Breakfast too busy and bustling.

Review 120:OK for overnight stops.

Review 121:Made to feel comfortable and they made our dog Daisy welcome.

Review 122:Quiet location and convenient for the ferry terminal. Friendly staff, good breakfast and private off-road parking. Very good value for money.

Review 123:Warm welcome as usual

Review 124:Our room was very dated. The main light didn't work and neither did the shower gel dispense.

Review 125:Convenient for an overnight stay before the ferry.

Review 126:Some noisy customers that night...

Review 127:Proximity to town centre Private parking

Review 128:would have liked a step in shower rather than a bath with shower attachment.

Review 129:great breakfast

Review 130:the courtesy of the staff

Review 131:Overcrowded car park - had to park in the street. Hotel is 'Tired' - needs an update and 'lick of paint'

Review 132:Location to town and port

Review 133:We though location to far from main town breakfast should be included in price also needs refurbishing very old furniture + surrounds

Review 134:No coffee facilities on arrival. Room was cold with no heating on

Review 135:Comfortable beds, ample parking

Review 136:Nothing

Review 137:A five minute walk to the centre of Roscoff free parking large room with shower good coverage on Wi-fi good value breakfast
