Reviews for Brae House

Review 1:Lovely bright room with king size bed. Patti was a great host and very accommodating, ringing around locally to try find us a dinner venue as we arrived late New Years Eve. A few pub and restaurants about 5 mins walk back into town. Breakfast was very tasty and countryside views amazing from the table, with an appearance from a local red squirrel and woodpecker feeding outside. We will definitely return if in the area.

Review 2:We liked everything about it no complaints.

Review 3:Beautiful house inside and outside. Bedroom really lovely and facilities great. Breakfast excellent. Would have liked to have stayed for longer.

Review 4:Steep(ish) flight of stairs with a bend up to all rooms. Not ideal for anyone with restricted mobility.

Review 13:Brae House is the perfect place to be. Excellent accommodation. Warm and welcoming, perfect for those who would like to sightsee, perfect for those who are looking for a chance to unwind and relax in glorious surroundings. Perfect.

Review 14:The standard of this accommodation was far superior to any other if bthe same rating that I have stayed in. The owners attention to detail is wonderful. Very clean and comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was better than hotel standard, cooked to order, fresh eggs from the owners own hens and freshly brewed coffee on tap...perfect! The owner herself couldn't have been more hospitable. She offered great local knowledge with recommendations for supper and things to see and do around the area.

Review 15:Bed was a little on the hard side for my husband and I. The WiFi signal was very poor.

Review 16:Location was very easy to find House was in a lovely setting excellent Service Breakfast was gorgeous as was the pussycats

Review 17:parking awkward, inexperienced driver would panic a bit. owner told us to come back later when we turned up half an hour early which put us on an awkward footing

Review 18:good bedroom, bedding, tea and coffee making facilities, nice breakfast, lovely house

Review 19:Great view from the sitting area. Larger bedrooms and nicer bathrooms than other B&Bs we stayed at. We wished our itinerary would have allowed us to spend an extra night.

Review 42:Nothing!

Review 43:It felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was top quality!

Review 44:Nothing to dislike about Brae house.

Review 45:Warm welcome and comfort with style.

Review 46:Fantastic B&B! We were made to feel very welcome; and that means a lot when you stay in someone's home. The breakfast was tasty, fresh and had many great choices. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities had a professional touch. The views over the nearby landscape were beautiful. We would definitely stay again.

Review 47:Not sure if Wi Fi was available. Probably should have asked.

Review 48:Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Great location near River Tay. Very nice food and attentive service from Patti.

Review 49:Fantastic B&B. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and Patti couldn't have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 50:The food was very well cooked, the welcome is very friendly and the location is fantastic with great views of the River Tay. It is also very handy for the town of Aberfeldy which has a small cinema and several evening eating out options.

Review 51:The service you get at Brae House is much better than in any big 5 start hotel. It is personal, it is 'just for you'. I stayed 2 nights at Brae house on Friday and Saturday on 25-26.04.14. My room and bathroom were super clean. The bedding was high end - luxury and cosy. Breakfast was top class and served at a very early hour as I had to go for a sport competition. I needed a good night sleep in a peaceful location with nice restaurants near by to go for dinners in the evening. I got everything I wanted. Patti - thank you very much! I will be definitely coming back to relax in your place and to win more medals. Kind regards, Elena

Review 52:Excellent B&B. Very comfortable, very welcoming owners and an amazing location with splendid views of the hills and valley. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Review 53:Nothing,

Review 54:This was an absolutely top-of-the-line B&B, earning every bit of its four stars. Patti was a wonderful host, breakfast was perfect, and the decor was exquisite--light and up to date but still very welcoming. Homemade bread at breakfast and local shortbread in the room, along with robes, luggage racks, ironing board, and even facecloths--a rarity at B&B's. Perfect.

Review 55:We had a fantastic stay at Brae House. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and cooked with local produce. Patti was excellent and informative without being intrusive. The written directions on the Brae House website are accurate, so make sure you follow them and there will be no issues. The local restaurants are good and there is a wealth of activities nearby. HIGHLY recommend.

Review 56:My only negative was the hardness of the bed. I suffer from backproblems and the mattress was just a tad too hard. Having said that, itwasn't bad enough to make a complaint at the time!

Review 57:More than above average Scottish B&B. In the bedroom: I don'trecall ever having a bath robe provided in a B&B before, and luxurytoiletries. Also a cafetiere and freshly ground coffee plus fresh milkin a thermos flask. None of your horrid long life milk here! Breakfast:Choice of cereal and fresh fruit (strawbs and bluebs one morning)and/or cooked. I had properly cooked (ie not overdone, floating inwater, ugh) scrambled eggs and smoked salmon; freshly home-baked breador croissant. Altogether first class.

Review 58:The welcome we received and the helpful information when we had when wanting to go somewhere of interest. Would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

Review 59:Difficult to find - the street "orchard brae" is signed "the beeches" when coming from the east so we drove quite a bitbeyond. If you pay by credit card there is 2% surcharge (not mentionedon website or when booking). Very minor issues....coffee/tea traynot replenished on one of the days we were there, the day we arrived thebath had some minor debris left from the previous occupants - only wortha comment because it's a 4 star accommodation.

Review 60:On the whole a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Would recommenddespite the following minor issues.

Review 61:Difficult to find within the development in which it lies. A neighbourcame out to help. Her directions on website help but the final turn intoa narrow drive between tewo houses needs a notice.

Review 62:Location superb - very pretty -l once you found it. Comfortable room butrelatively small when compared with say Premium Inn. Very good breakfast

Review 63:Brae is great! Patty is very welcoming host and gave us some advises of what to do in Aberfeldy. A great place to stay for a night or two Even though B&B situated of the edge of the town all things from shops to distellery ae very near

Review 64:We really enjoyed our stay. Luxurious room and facilities and we were made feel very welcome. Breakfast was also fantastic so would thoroughly recommend Brae House!

Review 65:When we arrived we were told we were not allowed in until after 4 p.m. because the proprietor needed to clean the rooms, clear away after the other guests. Although we had already had a long journey we were fit enough to put our boots on and walk down the town, etc.however, it was v. cold and older - less fit people - would have found this quite challenging. The guests who arrived the next day were similarly told they were not allowed in until after 4 p.m. This is NOT stated on the web, or anywhere else. In addition to the above, our rooms were entered every day - admittedly this was good on one level because the bins were emptied; but we were NOT asked if we minded.

Review 66:The choice for breakfast was excellent; facilities good too. The house was warm etc.

Review 67:Very friendly, helpful and accommodating . Will definitely recommend and return myself.
