Reviews for Premier Inn Stafford North - Spitfire

Review 1:Noisy fan in bathroom. Had to wait a few minutes for our cooked breakfast due to the restaurant being busy.

Review 2:Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. Easy parking.

Review 3:Severe vibrations , not so much noise , from passing wagons during the night . Ordered mature steaks in restauraunt ,cooked medium-like leather-told staff . apology but just offered sweet or coffee .

Review 4:Staff, cleanliness. Convenient for early start to local race track / driving experience .

Review 5:We were held up due to roadworks on the M6 and phoned to say that we would be late arriving, in spite of this my card was debited before arrival at 11.30pm.

Review 6:As usual with Premier Inn the comfort of the beds has not been bettered. Although close to a busy road we could hear no traffic.

Review 7:The room was very warm... the heating control sid not appear to work and although there was a fan this wasnt the ideal solution and it was noisy. There was no connection to wifi in the room. We could connect in reception but then the signal would drop and couldnt not connect. We asked for help at reception but they only offered to put us through to a help desk. There is little point in offering wifi for free if there is no connection

Review 8:Bed was comfy and room was big enough for us and our kit as we were racing staffordshire 70.3

Review 9:The 45 min journey from Alton towers, but without traffic it's not as long as it sounds.

Review 10:Breakfast was 10 out of 10! And staff were so helpful and friendly.

Review 11:free wifi was unreliable. Beds a little uncomfortable

Review 12:Excellent location for travelling to Alton Towers. Good size room for family . Breakfast is very good value.

Review 13:Fan in bathroom would not go off. Reported it during the night for maintenance to repair. Went of eventually at 6 am. Sofa/Camp bed very lumpy for my 9yr yr old. Second night same thing had to move room but had to make up childrens bed with bedding from our first room.Second room new and modern. Lovely. On leaving received full refund. Manager turned fan off in 2 mins. Someone put on a timer but maintenance man should have looked at it after we first reported it whilst we were at Alton Towers.

Review 14:Staff customer service.

Review 15:The toilet door handle was dirty when we arrived had brown/black stains, the bin linings were flimsy little plastic bags kept breaking

Review 16:The generous breakfast, queit rooms

Review 17:My only downside was that I found the bed rather high - when I sat on the edge my legs didn't reach the ground, which did cause much amusement!

Review 18:A lovely fresh-smelling ,clean hotel & very comfortable room.

Review 19:Noisy road outside ,, cigarette smell and butts by the front doors .. Could not call a taxi for us , gave us numbers of local firms . None of which could pick us up , !!

Review 20:The room was cold (February) and walls were thin. Any noise outside the door could be heard from the room. I don't see how you can 'guarantee' a good nights sleep!

Review 21:The staff were very good and provided a heater immediately. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not good quality. Very clean and tidy. This room had no socket next to the bed.

Review 22:Wasn't told there was building work going on at premises Some guests were really noisy in the ground floor corridor foyer area very late Had to order cooked food at breakfast which took nearly 25 minutes from order to receiving it. Far too long

Review 23:Rooms always as expected with plenty of room when extra beds are used for accompanying children

Review 24:Noise outside from parked hgv vehicles engines spoilt my nights sleep as this went on till at least midnight. I needed to be refreshed for an important meeting the next day. Unfortunately this wasn't, the case.

Review 25:Room comfortable and breakfast good.

Review 26:The staff in the morning were very load outside of the room. We decided to stay in bed for a while due to a late nigh, the morning was loud with staff talking extremely loudly from approx 9am, at times they shouted along the corridor to each other. Apart from that everything was ok, but I wouldn't stay again from this experience.

Review 27:Although listed as disabled the bars in the bath were not positioned so that I could use them to help me stand. A walk in shower with a seat would be much more practical. The bed was very uncomfortable and neither of us could sleep - Lenny Henry lies on the advert! He has not slept in that bed!

Review 28:Staff very helpful smart and willing to help. Room clean Close to eating facilities which were excellent

Review 29:Didn't spot the sign in room explaining there was no hairdryer until I was undressed ready for bath. no phone either. So had to get dressed again to go and ask. I stopped staying in travel inns because of a lack if phone to call reception when the same happened.

Review 30:Staff enormously helpful.

Review 31:The single bed was right against the wall which meant my sons head was right against the heater, which was dangerous.

Review 32:The member of staff was polite and friendly.

Review 33:After travelling 3 hours to get there, a good nights sleep would have been nice. A large amout of drunk guests kept us awake. My 3 year old was a grump all day at alton towers :(

Review 34:restaurant next to the hotel.

Review 35:Everything we used the premier inn as a stop over on our way down to Legoland Windsor. we paid a lot of money for a high class hotel, which we did not rate at all, wish we had booked into a premier inn down Windsor

Review 36:Staff we're very helpful when checking in. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and the breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend based on price.

Review 37:Failure of certain staff to fulfill the requests we made! i.e.... an early morning call was missed. A booked specific table by number at restaurant was ignored (we were expected to have a table for 2 but we were 3) and NO apology given!! Team leader & assistant didn't seem to care! 4 out of 7 days we were NOT provided with enough towels or bath mats. The first 3 days our bathroom was NOT cleaned, and we had to request tea coffee/sugar/milk etc as none was provided.Booked 4 days- had to extend to 7.. last 3 cost almost as much as first 4.. A 7 night stay ought to be cheaper!! The noise from the adjoining fans in bathrooms kept me awake/ or woke me up most nights - very irritating!!

Review 38:The proximity to the M6 (without the noise) was ideal as was having a restaurant adjoining, also. Attempts made to encourage quietness within the hotel at night were good, but UNFORTUNATELY ignored by many clients. Very helpful people were Natalie at reception, and Malgorzata, a cleaner, and the morning breakfast team.

Review 39:We arrived on a Thursday early evening and stayed till Sunday morning, the service on the first day (Friday) at breakfast was great, but the Saturday not so good, We weren't told breakfast was self-service, also had to wait at the buffet bar for 15 minutes waiting for eggs to be cooked, Ordered a lunch on the Saturday lunchtime, to be told after waiting 25 minutes that the chef hadn't all the ingredients for the Nacho dish, Not at all good

Review 40:Booking over the internet was very quick and straight forward, great welcome on arrival, comfortable room. The receptionist Natalie was brilliant, always had a smile for you, also Trev was very helpful.

Review 41:Room was very small and dated considering I'd booked a family room (2adulds&2children). No hair dryer, poor selection and limited condiments. Not enough staff Behind the bar. Both evenings during our stay everything we used the bar area we waited a considerable lengthy time to be served. Staff in restaurant were very unhelpful. On our second evening when arriving in the restaurant we were informed that they could not facilitate our group due to no tables available. However it was evident that there were several tables vacant. It took for us to question this for then the staff member managed to find us a table. As a family we felt very let down. We

Review 42:Breakfast was good

Review 43:What's not to like!

Review 44:Cheerful and helpful welcome from reception.(and all staff we met) Comfortable room. Convenient breakfast next door was excellent. Very quiet even though there was building work under way.

Review 45:didn't like walking in to only double made up. mattress hard. remote didn't always work. what was meant to go in glasses? as was not going to use bathroom tap water for my kids to drink! manager could do with a smarten up and a name badge or tie so show he in charge.

Review 46:loved choice of pillows. love the fact left 4 cups and spoons and two glasses. clean smart. helpful staff on desk.

Review 47:Mirror's, still had to bring own, some of us need a little more magnification. Otherwise nothing bad to report on this occasion

Review 48:Only stayed for one night, but couldn't fault anything, it was nice to take time to get ready before check out to a wedding held on Monday.

Review 49:Lorries parked up for night and then leaving early in morning. Rooms are double glazed and as long as this is closed noise not too disturbing but prefer open windows to air con.

Review 50:Big fan of Premier Inns. Good food on doorstep and choice of two venues on this site

Review 51:The noise from upstairs woke us up at 2am and was very loud this spoilt out sleep as we needed to be up for 6am.

Review 52:Staff pleasant and food was good on average very clean

Review 53:The fact that we are wondering what we are going to do when our third child is not able to sleep in a cot. Are we still able to have 5 in a room? Ventilation was poor as it was too hot.

Review 54:The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 55:Unfortunately the doona was hot and there were no sheets so you'd wake up hot, throw the doona off, freeze and put the doona back on. All night.

Review 56:The restaurant next door was good for dinner and breakfast. The location was quiet.

Review 57:No air conditioning windows that do not open enough to let any breeze in unhelpful staff on site and at head office. I have stayed at Premier Inns in the UK and abroad this is the first time I had reason to complain do not believe them when they say the will refund your room if for any reason you do not have a comfortable nights sleep

Review 58:When I left

Review 59:Convoluted stairs and lift access, difficult with bags if you are a bit infirm.

Review 60:Not far from Motorway, but quiet. Good value restaurants nearby. Staff helpful and willing.

Review 61:Booking.com charged twice as much as booking with premier inn direct. I booked months ago.

Review 62:The staff were great, I needed to check in early for a wedding and they got it all arranged even though booking.com didn't notify them of my early email request! They also helped my friends do the same. Thanks
