Reviews for The Tudor Court Hotel
Review 1:the bathroom was dated and grout in shower neede replacing. The bed was uncomfortable The breakfast was served cold and scrambled egg was full of shell
Review 2:The location was good for us
Review 3:The bedrooms could all do with an update in decoration, furnishing and possible rewire.
Review 4:I like older places with character, it was in an excellent position for my purposes and breakfast was well provided for all tastes.
Review 5:Whilst the folk in the room above were not noisy, as in loud music or such, we heard every move they made. Walking around until past midnight and heard their visits to the bathroom etc. The real test when we stay somewhere is 'Would we go again? Answer definitely but would request that we are not put on the ground floor of the coach house.
Review 6:Friendly welcome and a delightful room in the coach house. Very comfortable bed and a good nights sleep with excellent breakfast in the morning
Review 7:No staff present most of the time, phone unanswered, management absent. Building falling apart, no facilities available eg bar, lounge, wifi etc. Shower, toilet etc very poor, Door to garden locked. Dismal in extreme.
Review 8:Nothing other than the soft egg for breakfast.
Review 9:We were told at 11.10am on the morning we were travelling down, that our rooms were cancelled. Hotel booked for us was more expensive, further away, also was booked room only not B&B as we were expecting. Very disappointing and spoiled our trip.
Review 10:They booked another hotel for us.
Review 11:wifi was iffy
Review 12:Owner Stephen/Steven was brilliant Wonderful setting in English garden Paradise for those looking to escape the rat race Breakfast was superb
Review 13:the fact we were on our own in garden room - no stairs. good facilities although not modern very comfortable. Breakfast was very good- plenty of choice and food was cooked to order and was hot!! lovely matching china cups, plates etc.
Review 14:Shower was terrible. Bar wasn't staffed and as a result had to wait some time to order a drink.
Review 15:The staff (might have been the owner) was very helpful and provided useful information regarding trains to central Birmingham. Very friendly. Breakfast was very good.
Review 16:I couldn't work out how to use the shower in room 8 (and I'm not THAT stupid). Get someone to show you how to use it when you check in.
Review 17:Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, good bed.
Review 18:Lumpy bed No bulb in bedside lamp Rocky glass shelf above sink No evening meal due to someone having a baby but no offer of help to find somewhere close by Wi fi connection was poor until I complained! Not very friendly
Review 19:Nothing!
Review 20:Wifi was detectable but did not reach my room well enough which resulted in me having to use my own data for the duration of the trip. The fan in the bathroom sounded like it had something stuck in it and made a lot of noise. Hard towels. Unreachable plugs. Uncomfortable bed.
Review 21:The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Upon finding out that I would be leaving before breakfast the next morning, I was provided with breakfast snacks so I did not leave the hotel hungry.
Review 22:Our room was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely dining room. I would definitely recommend The Tudor Court Hotel.
Review 23:Breakfast was average, bed not very comfortable, TV and wifi kept dropping out. Had to walk through the dining room to get to our room.
Review 24:Nice location. We stayed in the old stable and there was heaps of room.
Review 25:Cistern handle of toilet was coming out Shower had to be hand held Patio door lock to room very tempermental
Review 26:Good location to where we were attending. Beautiful gardens to sit in Room was larger than normal Bed was extremely comfortable Very clean and owner very helpful
Review 27:Friendly and helpful host, quirky accommodation - we booked two rooms and had the coach house to our shelves. Proximity to attractions (Landrover) very good
Review 28:Room location was top floor, 3 flights. Pigeons outside window were noisy. Shower was tiny! Had to search for on plug for tv then pull bed out to get to it!! Not good! Brown towels, yuk!
Review 29:Location
Review 30:They moved us to another room, which we werent informed about while booking. The WiFi hardly reached both rooms and when we had a problem and needed to make a phone call, not having a roaming, it was impossible to find a phone in the house and the hotel owners were not very eager to help either. The bar was never open and all the doors to the pretty garden were always locked (unless you bother to go get the key and lock it all up behind you again) Would I recommend this hotel to anyone? Most definitely - No
Review 31:Breakfast was ok, the bed comfortable enough
Review 32:Cold during the night in my room, mattress, bedsheets, poor quality on services, smells damp in the room, not enough freshness.
Review 33:The place, quite area, nice staff, lovely reception, very good size car park.
Review 34:Was acommodated in the coach house adjoining the Hotel.Spacious with own lounge downstairs and bathroom/bedroom upstairs. Very friendly owners, was made very welcome..
Review 35:Arrived late in the evening and had to depart early morning so missed the cooked breakfast however I was advised by the gent who checked me in that cereals, coffe etc would be available in the breakfast room at 5AM. So brekky was sorted. Nice clean room with a very comfortable four poster bed. Felt like I was on the set of Game of Thrones. Will definitely use again.
Review 36:Lovely welcoming hosts who were very attentive and informative of the area. The breakfast was lovely every morning. The room we had was lovely and comfortable. The old character of the building is lovely with its high ceilings and oak panelling etc.
Review 37:The bathroom was slightly disappointing; broken toilet roll holder, broken shower head holder and hooks falling off the wall.
Review 38:Proprietor was very friendly and approachable, very helpful. Very much liked the Coach House as a place to stay
Review 39:Unfortunately the chef was unavailable and therefore no food was served in the evenings. The bar was only opened by requested on Friday night and not at all on Saturday.
Review 40:Family staff. Good breakfast.
Review 41:Other guests had parked poorly which meant I had to park on the road. I found the bed to be far too hard and I couldn't turn down the radiator and it was on the hottest setting.
Review 42:The staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely.
Review 43:This is an old property where it has been altered. But really needs more updating in the rooms for today's standards.
Review 44:View of the garden at breakfast
Review 45:Had to go out through the garden to get from our room to the main building, which would have been nice in the summer, but we were there mid winter.
Review 46:We had our own suite (including a sitting room) in a separate building for the price of a room!
Review 47:The double bed room at the front of the hotel was very small there was insufficient room between the bed and the wall. Your advertisement says 'restaurant' but not the fact that is only open for functions. We had to drive miles to find an evening meal. Initially the room was very cold.
Review 48:The location was convenient to the people that we were visiting.
Review 49:Just a little cold in the evening when we got back to our room. Heating came on later though.
Review 50:The hospitality and welcome we received was wonderful. Breakfast was a joy and the facilities very comfortable in the lovely coach house. Loved having freedom of the house.
Review 51:Both Stephen and Jane were most helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was superb and kept me going all day at the NEC I was attending. It was excellent value for money and I met two other NEC exhibitors who have been going there for 8 years and appear part of the family.
Review 52:a few details attended to could have made a nicer stay and better sleep, but we've reported them to the owners who say they will use our feedback.
Review 53:nice people, traditional features, parking, quiet location
Review 54:We've been here for 10 days and we can say that the owners were very kind! The hotel is in a quiet place and the breakfast was nice! We will return!
Review 55:The building and décor were interesting and charming. A nice change from the chain hotels. Perhaps dated and idiosyncratic for some peoples tastes. Good hot shower. Breakfast was traditional full English and much enjoyed. A quiet road. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Will stay again if in the area.
Review 56:There were long waits for drinks We were silenced on arrival for several hours, as there was a music exam going on in the hotel, this made us all feel quite uncomfortable. No food was available in the evening, after a long drive, which meant we had to go further afield.
Review 57:The bedroom was tiny but comfortable Breakfast was fine
Review 58:Cold!! (Old buildings with high ceilings need heating on more please !) A bit tired, needs updating. Very noisy fan in loo! (Had to go to loo with light off!) Cold in dining room, wear your coat!
Review 59:Free Wifi, lovely Breakfast, nice and clean, quiet, friendly, lovely building, car park, coffee and tea, well equipped, good location and very reasonably priced !
Review 60:Room we had was outside the main building very basic, very 70s,mismatch of decor, noise from upstairs not the comfiest of beds. Staff never to be seen again that evening after 1st drink at the bar, approx 9.30 which was a shame
Review 61:Adequate parking Good breakfast Pleasant staff and owners Short walk to a really good Indian restaurant
Review 62:booked a double room for single occ and got a twin room. no en-suite - wasn't advised this separate bathroom was down the landing- no landing light outside the room door when venturing at night to bathroom no side lights at the bed - only main light with switch next to the door attic room - not really a practical room in 21C for letting
Review 63:Lovely place to stay, as I imagine the UK to be. Stayed in the old coach house in the lovely garden. The owner is great! And as a bonus there is a mini pub!
Review 64:Was a cold night outside and a bit cold in the room overnight. TV set didn't work as small room TV aerial useless.
Review 65:Made welcome by owners. Reasonable decor. Good selection for breakfast. WiFi helpful.
Review 66:I loved the warm welcome we received from the proprietors. There customer service was excellent. There was free parking spaces available. I loved the old fashioned look and the Hotel was perfect with it's decor. (It was just my style). The room and the whole Hotel was clean. Breakfast was delicious! My partner actually did something right for a change and picked the perfect location and the perfect Hotel. The garden was breath-taking! The Tudor Hotel certainly beat the modern hotels I've stayed in, and we will definately be going back!! 10 out of 10, 5 Stars Hotel!!
Review 67:Although the bathroom was clean I would have preferred a bigger shower. I'm much smaller than my partner and kept hitting my arms while having a shower. He on the other hand was very uncomfortable!
Review 68:It was a clean homely atmosphere and the breakfast was lovely. Great value for money.
Review 69:the location was good. staff entered room with master key at mid morning and didnt knock. on entering he found room occupied and couple in an intimate position. really should of knocked. he had no reason to come into room knowing it was occupied til the next day. housekeepers had been imformed not to clean room as occupied all day. hotel should have do not disturb signs to prevent this ever happening again. very disappointed snd wouldnt stay there again. no apology was given or mentioned on checking out. 4 out of 10.
Review 70:only thing the bed was a little low for me but that is personal preference.
Review 71:I didnt know anything about this hotel until it popped up in bookings.com search. an i am so pleased. We regualrly stay in solihull to visit family and friends and Tudor Court will be top of our list. Its like stepping back in time and i was staying in the Coach house i felt i was out in the country somewhere instead of a few hundred yards from the main warwick road!. Pretty little garden area. The owners were lovely and so helpful without being gushy or intrusive. cant wait to take my husband and stay again
Review 72:Dated décor and small bathroom
Review 73:Clean, comfortable, friendly and very helpful. Very good breakfast, with a wide choice of food. Ample parking and easy access to airport.
Review 74:Lack of a trouser press in my room. Although to be fair, when I asked about having one, Stephen said he'd provide one.
Review 75:Really nice place. Due to the nature of my work, I wasn't able to test the breakfast. But I have no reason to believe it would have been anything other than excellent. I have already re-booked as I'm still working in the area.
Review 76:One of our party was told they had to go to another hotel (due to a leak?). It was random as to who had to go but I thought it was a bit off to pick on one of our group who was spending so much money at the venue and were obviously staying at the venue because of the party. The gentleman who looked after us never seemed to be very happy to have to deal with us. There was also no great apology for putting one of our party out and we had to ask for the cab fair to be covered to and from the other hotel which, as it was not our fault we had to travel back and forth, should have been offered by the venue I would have thought.
Review 77:We were there for a family celebration and the function room, dining room and gardens were all at our disposal, which was lovely. The lady who helped look after us (Jane?) was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely too.
Review 78:Lovely place to stay
Review 79:noise from other rooms, stayed in "coach house" lot of noise from people moving upstairs
Review 80:location

Review 82:Nice honest feel, had personality as opposed to bland hotels
Review 83:Hot Breakfast not served until 07:45 too late for most business travellers.
Review 84:Very good breakfast
Review 85:No chef on site, double room booked but twin beds pushed together - not a double.
Review 86:Very friendly hosts, excellent breakfast, that was served before the opening time as I had an early flight. Very czy old house.
Review 87:The manager was very personable and extremely helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed.
Review 88:Noise, late into the night because of the bar, guests were telling the late night drinkers to keep quiet as this was 12 mid night
