Reviews for The Steading
Review 1:our navagation couldnt find the location. A sign on the main road would be helpful. The surrounding nature is stunning. Near glen Lyon and mt Schiehallion
Review 2:great welcome in a warm atmosphere. Clean and lovely appartment with a delicious breakfast.
Review 3:The hosts were extremly snobby. We told them that went to a local pub for dinner and they shunned us. The website was misleading. I thought were were staying in the building next to their house, not a bedroom within their house. Paying £440 for four nights for a bed and breakfast seems over priced. The website also needs to be amended as the location was not where the satnav took us based on the information provided on the website.
Review 4:The room and en suite were were exceptionally clean and well presented. The choice of breakfast was extensive and was beautifully cooked.
Review 5:We stayed in the separate loft at the steadings for two nights. Accomodation was lovely the staff were very friendly and I would definitely go back or recommend to friends.
Review 6:Nothing
Review 7:We required a short break full of peace and relaxation, and the Studio at The Steading was ideally suited to this. Being able to see Ben Lawers in the distance, whilst a family of mistle thrushes stripped the mountain ash tree just outside the window of its berries, and all from the comfort of the high quality interior of the Studio, we couldn't fail to relax!
Review 8:For us, there were no negatives.
Review 9:We had a day of walking and a day to relax and recover. Everything was perfect, even at 6.3" I had no problems moving around the Studio, we cooked dinner ourselves and enjoyed a long lazy breakfast on both mornings. WiFi reception was very good, we streamed radio programmes without any issues.
Review 10:Unfortunately my wife was unwell during most of our stay. Sarah-Jane, the owner couldn't have been more helpful and our double room with a view was as good a place to recover as any. The wood burner and brazier are nice touches.
Review 11:There was a few things that is on booking.com that did not live up to when we arrived. If you are staying in the studio then there is no wifi or bathrobes.
Review 12:The studio that we stayed in was lovely, clean.
Review 13:Mislead by the booking, don't look for the fantastic breakfast everyone raves about if you pick the studio room, you have to make your own while breaking your neck as the slope of the roof is beside the kitchenette, which is compact to say the least, my partner is 5'3" and she struggled to prepare anything.
Review 14:The location and accommodation were lovely,Will was very pleasant to deal with.
Review 15:No pubs or restaurants within walking distance. Would have been better value if we had been able to stay for the three nights booked.

Review 88:Need better directions to find the Steading. There is no sign with thename of this B&B on the road so you don't know which of the longdriveways to pull into. The address states Aberfeldy but it is at least3 miles out of town. There are 2 bedrooms and the one which is upstairs is difficult to bring up luggage as it is very narrow.
Review 89:Great room and wonderful bed. Breakfasts were very good. Gracious andhelpful hosts.
Review 90:Amazing breakfast, very comfortable beds, great location for walking and two of the nicest most welcoming and genuine people you could meet. Highly recommended.
Review 91:Nothing at all to dislike. It was excellent.
Review 92:Absolutely Everything! The Steading was superb in every way and the hospitality second-to-none. Sarah and Will were the most pleasant, friendly and gracious hosts you could imagine. After a 300 mile journey the coffee / tea and cakes from Sarah on arrival were very welcome and much appreciated. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and it was nice to have the view of the mountains and hills through the breakfast room picture window. Lovely also to sit on the porch at night and relax. The Steading is a lovely find and we can't imagine anyone ever being anything but highly impressed. We left feeling refreshed and knowing we had made a great choice. This would be a definite choice again for us the next time we visit the area. The place you stay is so important and is often the thing which determines the quality of your holiday. We can say for sure that our break was all the more pleasureable because we had such first-rate, yet delighfully informal accommodation.
Review 93:Nothing really - will go back!
Review 94:Beautiful location and very high standard of accommodation. Excellent breakfast - especially enjoyed fresh grapefruit with mint and the quite delicious waffles served with bacon Stornaway black pudding and maple syrup.
Review 95:The gravel driveway
Review 96:The welcome The room facilities The owners go the extra step to make you feel welcome and to try and help you make the best of your stay
Review 97:lack of sufficient signage from the road (The Steading is in the countryside at the top of a long track difficult for first timers to find - it took me 3 goes back & forth along the very deserted road)

Review 103:Not sure if it was the lovely warm welcome very late at night after a terrible journey, or the home made biscuits or the fabulous room or luxury shower or the breakfast to die for. But one thing i do know is that after visiting on business i have booked it for my walking holiday!
