Review 1：We liked everything. Did not matter the electric was off when we arrived.
Review 2：Lovely basic rooms on beachfront. Rooms had either balcony or terrace. Nice relaxed atmosphere, short stroll to beach. Several tavernas within walking distance. Our room had sea view, I think others may have castle view.
Review 3：Very relaxed, easy access to beach and local tavernas. Reminded me of travelling a few decades ago - simple, local place very welcoming. No high rise, no touristy stuff - just the simple life.

Review 10：Peacefull and quiet. Situated on beach.Two sandy beaches to choose from, easy to get in and out of water. Six (walking distance) tavernas. Good food in all of them. No head banging music! or head bangers!!
Review 11：The hotwater, the mosquitoes and the intermittent wifi in the room. The pillows were too hard so my lady ended up making a pillow out of her clothes.

Review 16：Eva, the 'concierge' was incredibly helpful. I emailed for travel advice, coming as we were by public transport, her reply was prompt and accurate making what could have been a nightmare journey something of relative ease. Information about the area is available from Eva too, such as hiring bicycles etc. The kitchen is sparsely equipped but adequate given the number of excellent tavernas. Overall lovely, would definately recommend it and would book there again.
Review 17：Staying at Maria's studios was a joy. It's right next to the beach with the wonderful backdrop of the castle and Maria and the staff were lovely and helpful. An unpretentious studio complex which provides exactly what it says and great value for money. The area is lovely and definitely worth it if you like a less developed surrounding (in comparison to the north of the island). Hora Sfakion is about a 15min drive which makes it easy to access other nice beaches by boat. Bear in mind: having a car is a must.

Review 39：Incredibly peaceful, relaxing, beautiful place to stay. Owners are friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the mosquito screens installed in the windows enable you to go to sleep at night with the windows open listening to the gentle sounds of the tide and watching the stars. Great location for exploring away-from-it-all beaches, gorges, and an undeveloped, back-to-nature side of Crete. Also fabulous value for money.
Review 40：The staff were super friendly. The location was perfect for us with a beatiful beach and nice rooms. There were also serveral taverns close by who servered good greece food. Flisvos was the best place to eat with good prices and amazing food!
Review 41：Great Location, easy access to a wonderful relaxing and safe beach. Accommodation was good really happy with the shower bathroom. Towels and bed linen every three days. Staff and family really helpful, we had a wonderful stay and will without hesitation return if we go back to Frangokastella.

Review 45：The staff were very friendly and the apartment was magnificent! The room was large with plenty of room to put things down, and very nicely furnished. The kitchenette had a fridge, hotplates and a kettle, as well as washing up liquid; there was a lot of cutlery and crockery, including a bread board. The shower room was large and there was a curtain over the shower as well as towel rails. The east facing balcony looked over the sea, and the beach was just across the garden.
