Tan y Gader features its original stone-clad façade with round windows, and formerly housed the town’s maternity home.

Review 1：Jayne and Mark went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Their guest house is quirky and beautifully decorated. The rooms are a good size and really cosy,. The breakfasts were great too.

Review 5：The owners were warm & welcoming on arrival, made us a lovely cup of tea & divine lemon drizzle cake. It was in a good location in the centre of town.
Review 6：Fantastic, quirky, friendly, and a great breakfast whilst listening to Nat King Cole on vinyl! (especially the home made Glamorgan sausages). Themed bedrooms (I was in Alice in Wonderland) and a comfortable communal living room full of books and games. The owners have put a lot of effort into this B&B. Tan y Gader is a building in the centre of town full of character where we were able to walk out of town to Cadair Idris mountain and back (2nd most popular peak in Wales). I must find an excuse to come here again soon!

Review 8：This B&B was more like a mini hotel in terms of the luxury rooms. Very quirky accommodation with acres of character. We enjoyed our anniversary stay here and the owners Mark and Jane were fantastic hosts. We will definitely be back

Review 19：Tan y Gader is a magical place. Our stay was so much fun!! Jane has done a superb job decorating the b&b, and it really feels like home. Her thoughtfuless is evident in many small details all around the house (look for the shortbread cookies). We can't tell you enough: stay here! You will love it.

Jayne's cakes were scrummy; the breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented, with a wide choice of home-made options to tempt those who may not be quite up to the full Welsh! Dolgellau is a lovely town and a good base for exploring the mountains and towns of North Wales. We would certainly recommend Tan y Gader to others; it would be perfect for a special occasion.

Review 22：The house was a Maternity House back in the 1800's and this appealed to my love of history! It was in the middle of the town so close to places to eat. The decore of the house was very interesting and eclectic which added to its charm! We were brought afternoon tea and cakes when we arrived!!!
Review 23：We were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. It seemed that Jayne and Mark pulled out all the stops but I suspect that actually it is the welcome and service that they give all their guests.
Review 24：Lovely B & B situated in the delightful town of Dolgellau. Wonderful room with imaginative decor throughout the house. The bed was so comfortable and the room had everything that was required. Breakfast was excellent and Jayne & Mark were great hosts. They were very helpful and recommended a local restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal. We plan to return for a longer visit in the future.

Review 32：The rooms were gorgeous! Really quirky and charming! Bed was really comfortable, roll top bath was such a lovely luxury. Breakfast was gorgeous! Jayne and Mark were so welcoming and friendly, they made us feel at home.
Review 33：Room not quite private enough in that it was a bit noisy early in morning next to breakfast room and bathroom opened into back garden downstairs.,also light cane into room through ensure doors so didn't quite have enough sleep. Not great for parking although I was able to park near to the house.

Review 38：This is a wonderful place to stay if you just wanted to explore a little bit of Wales set in Dolgellau. Jayne and Mark were really friendly and welcoming and their breakfasts has one of the best breakfasts I have had in a very long time. They definately went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable and make our stay even nicer.

They have included lovely little touches (too much to list all) some highlights are welcome cake and luxiourous choices for breakfast, even down to lending me some heels when I'd forgotten mine! Jayne, and her attention to detail, has created a beautiful environment where you immediately feel at home. She even provided hand made chocolates for my fiancé's birthday! Beds are divinely comfy, breakfast was gourmet restaurant, and we even were greeted with fresh tea and home made cakes upon our arrival! This b&b is a treat on all levels, from the decor to the food to the lovely owners and their unstintinting focus on providing the best possible experience. We will most definitely be returning. Review 50：We were made to feel we were friends instead of guests. Luxurious bathroom and one of the most comfortable bed's I've ever slept in. I had smoked salmon for breakfast which was excellent and my wife had the Welsh breakfast which again was perfect. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were sorry we could only spent one night here, It was that good. We would highly recommend Tan Y Gader to anyone.

Location is great in such a wonderful town with lots to explore. Lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Great varied breakfast menu with more than your standard full welsh.

Review 58：The rooms are a delight and have every creature comfort you could need . Welcoming cake went down well with a fresh pot of coffee. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast choices are wide and varied. Plans are afoot for mountain bike facilities as there are lots of good places for riding within 45 minutes travel. Set in central location for loads of activities/ sightseeing.
