Reviews for Mingarry Park
Review 1:Mingarry Park was excellent. Everything from the hospitality, modern fittings, comfortable bed and the breakfast. Certainly won't be my last visit.
Review 2:10am departure is a bit early, why make the place so nice and not let people enjoy it. 11am is the usual time in most places.
Review 3:Excellent accommodation and location
Review 4:No evening meal but I understand that an extension is being added soon which will accommodate a restaurant.
Review 5:Clean, tidy establishment and very helpful staff
Review 6:there wasn't anything we could find fault with.
Review 7:A beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, comfortable sitting room with good selection of drinks in honesty bar, good selection of food for breakfast well cooked and presented. Lovely room and views from accessible garden sitting area
Review 8:Absolutely nothing..it was marvelous!
Review 9:Great new building and lovely hostess Best breakfast on our tour...top quality meat, .views from our room & breakfast room were super.
Review 10:The friendly welcome from Emma and her extended family. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom too, with a great shower. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. There was an honesty bar with a selection of malt whiskies. There was a ceilhi in the Bothy on our first night.
Review 11:Super efficient heating for winter, but so hot overnight in August that it meant a poor night's sleep on our second night. Problem is, cannot open the windows for the midges! Perhaps some netting? Keep curtains closed when sunny to keep heat out? Also, room needs a second chair since cannot sit outside to enjoy the view.
Review 12:Very friendly and helpful, wonderful breakfast in terms of the cooking and quality of ingredients. Bed excellent, beautifully appointed shower room in our room. Lovely view, good parking facilities. Nice cake!
Review 13:The whole building was lovely - bright. modern and beautifully furnished and presented. A credit to the owners. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good.
Review 14:Lovely location, lovely room, lovely staff what more can you ask for.also we were giving a bottle of presecco for our anniversary was a lovely touch.will be back
Review 15:The owners were friendly, attentive with lots of useful information. The whole property was immaculate! And what a joy to see deer, and stags in the back field!
Review 16:The hotel was fantastic, can't speak highly enough of the whole package. The owners were lovely and welcoming and baby Megan was v.cute. The beds were so comfy and the view when we woke up was just amazing! The location was a bit out of the way but that was down to us booking in an area which wasn't as close to the attractions we were going to. Having said that it was worth the extra travel. I would love to go back. 10/10. Keep doing what you guys are doing!!
Review 17:We had a gorgeous stay.Even the bad weather couldn't spoil the experience. Our hosts were welcoming and generous with their hospitality. We would recommend it!
Review 18:Really nice luxury b&b with comfortable and lovely rooms. Owner family really nice, helpful and friendly. Best shower in the UK,not the usual dripping...
Review 19:There was nothing we didn't like
Review 20:The elegant room, beautiful view, excellent attention to detail (binoculars and hair straighteners) in the room and the lovely friendly welcome. Everything
Review 21:The journey was very long to get there, but that was soon forgotten.
Review 22:The whole experience of my stay was excellent. A warm greeting, fabulous room and unbeatable view makes me want to return for another stay.
Review 23:Beautiful castle and beach nearby. Red deer in the grounds of the house Honesty bar and free homemade fantastic cake to have with your tea Staff very professional and welcoming
Review 24:We had the lovliest 3 night stay in Mingarry Park staying in the "Forslan" which was a superior room. The room was spacious, spotless and had the comfiest bed we've ever slept in.
Review 25:One time i ask some milk when we checked out she told me you have to pay 3 £ for milk ?! I am not care about mony I think this is poor but evrything was perfect
Review 26:The accommodation couldn't have been better - fresh, comfortable, clean, with little touches of luxury. The area around the house is beautiful - we saw deer from our window! Breakfast was delicious and all the service we received was excellent. A really excellent place to stay.
Review 27:Everything was great. +Very friendly host +Clean +Nice size room +Breakfast was great. I think all local fresh products +They had a home baked cake waiting for us +Perfect stopping place between Skye and Mull +Some might find the location rural, but that may appeal to some as well. Note, the building is very modern and comfortable.
Review 28:The room we had this time didn't have a wardrobe which meant clothes lying about the room.
Review 29:Very warm welcome, spotlessly clean and very friendly atmosphere. Delicious home made cakes and a well stocked honesty bar added to the experience. Beautiful views from the dining room window enhanced the breakfasting experience.
Review 30:Just the pillows - too thick for me so difficult to get comfortable.
Review 31:Have been twice now & will return. Welcomed like an old friend - so felt really welcome. Lovely rooms, spotlessly clean. Great extras like homemade cakes & drinks available at any time with no fuss. Superb breakfast. A real treat.
Review 32:This Guest house is well worth a visit. Owners and staff very welcoming and friendly nothing was a bother. The location is beautiful and standard of accommodation excellent. Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:Everything. Emma and John were fab hosts from the minute we arrived(being upgraded to a fabulous room , which was perfect for everybody's needs) Fab breakfast and immaculately clean accommodation throughout, well done Emma's sister. Great location to explore and boy did we explore! My husband visits many hotels with business and it's the best one he's stayed in;a great accolade for Emma and John.We will be back pine martens beware!! Thank you to you both for your hospitality mark and Hazel x
Review 35:TV signal was a bit hit and miss but not an issue as we were out and about mainly
Review 36:The place was immaculate and finished with great detail. The wee Am Bothan bar was open with great music from Fergie MacDonald and stories of the Ardnamurchan region which really topped off the trip.
Review 37:Difficult to find any fault but have to mention the warm welcome from Emma and John, the quality of the build, finish, bedding, breakfast and overall attention to the last detail.
Review 38:From start to finish this was such a lovely experience. As well as the astonishing quality of every element of hospitality which comes as part of the package the welcome we received and the help we were given was so warm and welcoming.
Review 39:Hosts John and Emma are exceptional as are the accommodation, food and location. A modern lodge with large, clean and comfortable rooms set in a remote location with deer, sheep and other wildlife in abundance. If you want to experience the Scottish Highlands away from the hustle and bustle of city life and are prepared to drive to local attractions such as the village of Acharacle (half the fun is learning how to pronounce it), the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point or Tobermory on the isle of Mull, Mingarry Park will meet your expectations in spades. Due to the lodge being located somewhat off the beaten track I would suggest timing your arrival in daylight hours though. Thanks John and Emma for a thoroughly enjoyable 3 days.
Review 40:Expected to be offered a cooked meal in the evening, as we got the impression the premises were advertised as a hotel, and most hotels have this facility available ti it's customers.
Review 41:Extremely clean, and breakfast was cooked well. Wi-Fi number was offered at first meeting.
Review 42:I usually prefer a quiet location in the middle of nowhere but that is not the fault of the hosts. Everywhere was quite busy this week.
Review 43:The hosts went to so much trouble to make everything nice. They also easily accommodated a slight error in the booking process by friendly and quick service. I would recommend Mingarry Park. There were many little thoughtful details like an honesty bar, DVD's, and comfortable atmosphere.
Review 44:Nothing was amiss
Review 45:We had an absolutely flawless stay. The building and rooms are newly remodeled to the highest standards. Very impressive. Emma and her sister were perfect complements to the experience. 5 star accommodations in the Highlands. Worth every penny.
Review 46:The Location good, handy for Mallaig and also easily accessible by car. Close to village for evening meal. A first class bed and breakfast. Modern with classic touches. Attention to detail evident. Friendly and welcoming owners. Helpful and accommodating in every way. The deer are dear creatures when called in are up close and very personable.....
Review 47:Nothing to dislike
Review 48:All the finishing touches which makes it just that little bit more special. Delightful modern place which is spotless. Would like to return one day.
Review 49:No evening meal option and leaving the next day :-(
Review 50:Class accommodation in a super location for touring and visiting some of the most scenic landscapes around Scotland. From here it was an easy run to Skye where we paid more for less in terms of luxury accommodation. Well done to Emma.

Review 68:Our bedheads banged against the wall each time we sat on the beds(twin room). Also you need an extension cord or table for the kettle and hospitality tray to sit on. Little things that can be easily fixed and i am sure you will post haste.

Review 84:A stunning place, with exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts, thoughtfully equipped rooms and excellent breakfasts.
Review 85:Deer off back balcony - stunning 7 pt stagg!!
