Reviews for Best Western Uzès Pont du Gard

Review 1:Because the escalator was defect my room which was next to the lift was very loud. It wasn't possible to sleep without earplugs. No discount or another room was offered.

Review 2:noise of the elevator strong smell of mould from the bathroom - staff solves the problem by putting air freshener in the room bathroom could be cleaned better very small, basic rooms breakfast has a lot of choice but quality of the fresh items could be better

Review 3:walking distance to Uzes - nice walk along a side road (we are good walkers needing 15 - 20 minutes) staff generally friendly free parking good wifi connection

Review 4:Je me suis reveillé par le bruit de perceuse 10h du matin, ils font des travaux en plein été! c'est incroyable. De plus, le jet d'eau dans la salle de bain ne marchait pas bien. Je me suis brulé! Il y avait plein de moustiques dans la chambre! C'était penible

Review 5:Our room was at the end of the corridor, ground floor, with a view of a wall and gravel. Would have preferred to look a something more interesting. Asked for a room on the first floor but didn't get it and had booked well in advance.

Review 6:Very pleasant setting and picturesque building.

Review 7:Nothing to dislike

Review 8:The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was comfortable and the rooms clean. The breakfast was exceptionally good. The car parking was good.

Review 9:Although only ten minutes long, the walk into town was along a narrow pavement along a busy main road so not pleasant.

Review 10:Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms quiet. Good breakfast. Short drive to Pont du Gard and a short walk from Uzes, a pretty town with a medieval square with lots of cafes and fountain.

Review 11:Booking.com did not disclose that I could not collect Best Western Rewards Points because I booked through them.

Review 12:Clean, efficient and well run. A short walk to Uzes and a short drive to Avignon, Nimes and Pont du Gard.

Review 13:Rather a long walk to old town. Noisy guests in patio area at 3am

Review 14:Swimming pool open all day. Very good breakfast buffet. Shady patio area beside pool for breakfast and snacks

Review 15:Special price of approx. 64 Euros (excl. breakfast) should have been a bit lower. For that area and comfort/size of the room 55 would have been enough. Internet probably functions at the reception, not in the rooms, which are behind the swimming pool (in the middle of the hotel complex). The parking spots are too narrow.

Review 16:Free parking. Kostenloses Parken. Gratis parkeren. More than enough space for all guests. The standard rooms are well equipped, but a bit narrow. For max.3 nights stay.

Review 17:Too short shower screen, no canal+ sport when it is advertised on thehotel sign, not enough plates when breakfast is busy.

Review 18:Breakfasts (self squeeze fresh oj), atmosphere, garden, mattress, quiet

Review 19:Just a little bit too far to walk into town but others might not think the same.

Review 20:Extremely pleasant and welcoming receptionist (Evelyn). Adequate size triple room with view over pool. Pleasant (if smallish) pool. Fantastic to have access to two well-maintained tennis courts onsite.

Review 21:The hotel is somewhat tired and could do with a makeover. Bathrooms and toilets could be much better cleaned. Bath towels were well passed their use by date for a professional hotel.

Review 22:We were lucky to pick up a room at the last moment on the eve of a holiday. The hotel is very well located and staff very helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast provided good choices and was very satisfying.

Review 23:Rooms are small and just adequate Pool closes too early for summer, in our opinion since the restaurant has the tables ne t to the pool it is expe ted to eat or dine with bathers using the pool.

Review 24:Restaurant , breakfast, gardens and pool.

Review 25:Unfortunately, as there was a violent thunderstorm which meant we could not sit outside, there were limited places to sit after dinner. Apart from that, all else was good!

Review 26:The staff were extremely helpful. Excellent position for Uzes and the Pont du Gard.

Review 27:Walking distance from Uzes, free parking, good breakfast, good value and comfortable rooms

Review 28:la situation de l'hotel

Review 29:Small shabby rooms poor breakfast

Review 30:Proximity to Uzes

Review 31:Pillows a bit hard

Review 32:great place to stay near Uzes, nice to have pool

Review 33:shower switched between boiling hot and cold

Review 34:Nice family rooms. Children have a separate room.

Review 35:Breakfast was rather bland and uninspired.

Review 36:The reception staff was very friendly. As expected--this is France--the room wasn't very big, but OK.

Review 37:No complaints here. Clean and tidy, nice pool and great breakfast.

Review 38:Nothing comes to mind

Review 39:Excellent service very professional staff.

Review 40:Nicely laid out hotel with excellent outdoor bar area by the pool. Rooms clean and spacious

Review 41:Great staff, clean room, good breakfast, well run hotel

Review 42:Th e discovery of the town

Review 43:Close to village. Free parking. Wifi good.

Review 44:nothing

Review 45:I really enjoyed the inner courtyard and the restaurant. The bed was very comfortable.

Review 46:We were late arriving, served with food after restaurant closed. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing, would def recommend.

Review 47:Do not expect a palace. However, it's ok for a short stay.

Review 48:Outdoor bar/dining area. Excellent evening meal. Easy walking distance to Uzes centre. Car parking and ease of access from main routes.

Review 49:The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We had to leave a day early and that was no problem in terms of the reservation.

Review 50:Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. near to <nimes and pont du gard, quiet room.

Review 51:Nothing.

Review 52:Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, good choice of food at breakfast (including hot selection). Great location with car for visiting Avignon, Nimes and Pont du Gard historical sites. Easy to find, on main road in to Uzes, but very little traffic noise.

Review 53:I was completely satisfied.

Review 54:Excellent location: 10 mins on foot from old town, good parking at hotel. Pleasant ambiance and staff. Excellent to have early breakfast available. Quiet and relaxing

Review 55:Secured the booking with a visa travel card and the money was not reversed for 8 days. So effectively the bill was accounted for twice on the travel card. This tied up funds unnecessarily and as we were only in France a short time this was inconvenient. Do not secure your booking with a pre-paid travel card if you want access to the funds under 8 days.

Review 56:We had a triple room which turned out to be two rooms, so was excellent. Clean, good views and staff could assist and speak English. Nice pool, but we didn't get time to use it. Good location for visiting Pont du Gard. Uzes has a carpark close to village where you can park and walk around this lovely village.

Review 57:The rooms were finein terms of amenities, but a little more square footage would have been welcome.

Review 58:The location was superb, with easy access to both the Pont du Gard and the city of Nimes.

Review 59:We had a very comfortable stay here and enjoyed the facilties. The localtion is also great for exploring Uzes. The staff we very freindly and welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable.

Review 60:Location is some way out of town on quite a busy road so we drove in to town. Small niggle. Carpet edge needed cleaning right round much of our room Garden slightly neglected in parts Coffee shop did not appear to be open as advertised

Review 61:Quite good value Quiet room Very comfortable twin beds side by side Good breakfast, as usual in best westerns, I've been in several.

Review 62:Rather difficult to find (not sign-posted in town centre and gps couldnot find given street address)

Review 63:Extremely pleasant and professional staff; secure on-site parking;excellent restaurant; quiet room

Review 64:the walk into uzes was not very relaxing. the pool needed a clean, i'm afraid

Review 65:good value for money, friendly helpful staff. tea and coffee making facilities were great (and free!) short walk into uzes (though along a very busy main road).

Review 66:Grubby, murky swimming pool (frankly, unusable) - very disappointing as we were looking forward to a dip after a long, hot day's travel.

Review 67:Good car parking - very relevant kin this old town where parking is at a premium.

Review 68:The room was comfortable but not very big. Also the pool was not very inviting at the tail end of the season (late September).

Review 69:The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 70:Lovely quiet interior courtyard for relaxing. Convenient, spacious, secure parking. Proximity to Uzes without the congestion of narrowvillage streets. Good, reasonably priced dining.

Review 71:I thought it was a REAl pity that there were no balconies off the roomsas we were there in sept and it was lovely outside, I wouldn't staythere again in the summer for this reason, but I knew this before Ibooked it so it's not like I was deceived, I still thought it was goodvalue, the other thing was the pool, I didn't think it was great, in theafternoon the more shallow end was completely in the shade and thereforequite cold, not good with a young child, also there wasn't really ashallow end for children, ti wasn't a very nice pool but surroundingoutdoor chairs were fine

Review 72:This hotel was clean & comfortable, nothing very special but certainlyvery good value for the money, breakfast was very good, but not includedin the price

Review 73:the cost of the hotel was very expensive. this is because of its close proximity to Uzes where there are very few hotels. the rooms are comfortable but vary dated and a bit grubby.

Review 74:the excellent friendly staff could not do enough to make our stay a really nice time. the location of the hotel is ideal for the lovely town of Uzes.

Review 75:Small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. Tiny swimming pool (built in the wrong place - lots of space available to build a bigger one elsewhere). Tired and in need of a bit of tlc. Limited choice for breakfast and a coffee machine that didn't work. Breakfast staff indifferent (as opposed to, e.g. Reception staff).

Review 76:Good location beside main road into Uzes. Lots of parking space. Pleasant terrace where breakfast is taken. Reasonably priced for a mid-range hotel.

Review 77:The rooms were very small, and we were disappointed with the food at dinner. My daughter was served a FROZEN fish steak and this after a long wait!

Review 78:I liked the cozy feel to it, the nice little pool, and the nice breakfast on the terrace. I loved the town of Uzes and surrounding area.

Review 79:Great base to explore the south of France, really enjoyed our stay, without doubt the best breakfast we have had in the south of France (and we have stayed in the area a lot) We are back in the south of France in September and we stay at this hotel again.

Review 80:Accommodation not as secure as it would be if the sole entry was via reception; dog-owners should be encouraged to collect their pets' droppings with the provision of plastic bag dispensers seen in many parts of France these days.

Review 81:Located in a quiet part of the town, secure parking, pleasant staff, good-sized rooms, accept pets.

Review 82:The food in the restaurant was very poor - and very poor value for money.

Review 83:Very clean and functional with a good location and friendly staff

Review 84:Nothing really.

Review 85:Friendly staff and rooms although small were clean and well appointed.

Review 86:Serviceable hotel, convenient for uzes centre. Dinner and breakfast both pretty good. Staff friendly.

Review 87:Room was dirty and the worst pillows we have ever encountered

Review 88:Superb front desk staff

Review 89:Rooms on small side, rather lacking in atmosphere.

Review 90:Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Review 91:Initi

Review 92:Very comfortable bed, warm and fresh room. The manager was polite and helpful. Breakfast was varied and generous

Review 93:The very dirty bathroom and it was very noisy

Review 94:Nothing

Review 95:Easiy access

Review 96:Very friendly with helpful staff. Good breakfast and facilities.

Review 97:Surprisingly good, great service from the staff, excellent evening meal and a easy walk to the old village to explore after a long drive

Review 98:delay at check in due to rooms not being ready

Review 99:cycle parking facility

Review 100:Walking distance to Uzés. Secure parking. Air Con in room. Good food.

Review 101:Shower malfunction Dirty bathroom

Review 102:Quiet and pretty patio

Review 103:Fithy interior and exterior...completely soul less

Review 104:The bar and reception staff

Review 105:Small rooms

Review 106:Nice outside landscaping; proximity to Uzes

Review 107:The reputation from previous occasions and the location

Review 108:Good location, clean hotel

Review 109:Relaxed being able to eat beside the pool
